Smartform print issue in dotmatrix

Hi,
I had the task of aligning some values on a pre-printed form using smart-form. Three pages are to be printed continuously. I did the alignment part and the first page was printing fine. However in the next page the print was shifting downwards by a centimeter and the shift was accumulating with every page. After searching the community I came to know about SPAD and page format. I tried creating one. It almost solved the shifting issue. All the time I was testing in one printer. Now when I tried to print in another printer the same issue has cropped up.
Has anyone faced a similar issue. If so please help me solve it.

Hi Amiya,
Please check your dot matrix printer default page setting with Hardware team and adjust printer according to actual production printer.
becasue every printer having different setting , you can check printer with production infrastructure team and set your page size according to that  and after that you can test your document in the system.

I have correct format 'Potrait' in Smartform Page Output Options and i have verified SPAD parameters also.Interstingly it has 2 DINA4 page formats with following values..
    Potrait :
    Width  - 210 mm
    Height - 297 mm
    Landscape :
    Width  - 297 mm

  • Smartform printing issue in polish language

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem in SMARTFORM .
I have developed a form in EN language and converted that in POLISH language using SE63 . When the form is printed in the POLISH language "#" is coming for some special characters of POLISH Language . ( e.g. 'ŁUAŚSĆ' ' but it is coming as '#US#S#'')
Please tell me how to handle these special characters in POLISH Language.
    Thanks

    Hi there,
There are many threads in the forum which talk about the accentuated and other special characters, in Polish and other languages. There are also many SAP notes about these issues.
The following can impact the output:
    - if your system is Unicode or not
    - which device type you use, and what is its code page ("character set")
    - which font you use

  • Hindi Smartform Printing issue

    Hi Ppl,
I have made a smartform , got converted into Hindi(se63) . Now the smartform is coming in hindi , however the printout and the PDF are not coming properly . It is displaying #######. Please help in resolving the issue .

    Hi,
SAP note 757130  says that SCR/SF forms printing with Hindi is not (yet) supported, only ABAP list printing (with an updated SWINCF, see corresponding notes):
Please notice that only the print of ABAP lists work correctly with the new
device types. The print of Sapscript forms and Smart Forms and the PDF
    conversion are not supported yet.

  • Smartform printer issue LOCL/SAP PRINTER NAME

    Hi All,
I have this smartform and driver program which i print through an output type from
    VF03.
When i print with printer as LOCAL, it prints right.
However when i use the same printer, this time specifiying the printer name
the shadings and colors get distorted. The greys are printed as jet black.
This is the same printer, only the way i reference it has changed.
What must i do. Can i fix this without basis help?
    John

    Hi John,
Check the background shading of the windows of the Smartform where you get the black boxes. If it is set something like this:
    Color: Grey
    Saturation: 100%
    this can be the problem.
I know it is strange but some black and white printers cannot handle this setting. They only know one color black so the ignore the color setting and just take the saturation 100% setting.
The reason it works with LOCL and device type SAPWIN is that the print data is created in Windows and sent to the printer as graphic.
If you wnat a gray background to a window, change the shading for window -> tab 'Output Options' to:
    Color: Black
    Saturation: 20%
and this should resolve the problem.
Then create a new spool and check if the problem is resolved. See SAP Note #400050.

  • Printing issue in smartforms (Bullets are printed as #)

    Hi Guys,
I've an issue in printing one of the forms. I'm using bullets in the form and when I see the print preview, i can see the bullets.
But when I print the document, instead of bullets, I see '#'. Is it something to do with the printer drivers or anything I can do and prevent it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Infact it is a printer issue.
Please contact the printer incharge to configure the printer so as to print the bullets properly.

  • Smart form printing issue with LOCL printer and SAP printer

    Hi,
    The issues are as follows:
    1. the top portion of the Invoice and PO does not print when using the SAP printer (works when using LOCL)
    2. the shaded areas of the Order Confirmation and Invoice are black when printing to a SAP printer (works when using LOCL)
In an attempt to correct the printing issue is was suggested that we change the SAP printer device type from HPLJ4 to POST2. This did address the problem where the shaded areas were black but then we received reports that other reports printed "garbage". Its possible that using POST2 device type causes issues when printing to HP compatible printers.
Apparently all the testing was done using the SAP printer LOCL and not the SAP printer name and SAP spool system. LOCL uses the SAP GUI and Windows system to produce the output. Our production users at the plant site and Toledo are using SAP defined printers with the device type of HPLJ4. HPLJ4 is our standard here as OC for our printer definitions and we have HP compatible printers installed in our Toledo location and all of our remote sites. We need to be able to correctly print the Invoices, Purchase Orders, Sales Order Confirmations on our SAP printers.
What can be done to the reports to allow them to print on our HPLJ4?
    Thanks,
    Babu

    Dear guru,
Here i have encountered an issue in smartform printing.
before coming to main issue let me give a brief details regarding this .
I have developed a smartform into development server and transported it into production server.
In development server when i am executing this smartform its is giving the exact output printing and printpreview of that smartform what i assigned font type for it(courier new).
(in development server i am getting courier new font  in printpreview,,, and using "print" option that courier new font is coming into output page--- no problem here)
But In production server when i am executing this smartform its is giving the exact printpreview of that smartform what i assigned font type for it(courier new) but when it is getting printed...... courier new font is getting changed into other font . not able to get output in courier new format.
(In production server i am getting a spool num for that smart form ,,,, when i am converting this  spool number into pdf using rstxpdft4 of that smartform  it is coming properly into courier new format.)
so guru what might be the problem ??
is it problem reted printer setting ??

    Hi,
Check for the printer in production system.

Plesae help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Eswar

    HI Eswar,
If you have only one page made in your smartform you can make one more page with just the main wiindow. This window will have all the rules of the company. Now make the first page point to this page and make this page point to the first page.
Select duplex printing in the page attributes and print. This will solve the issue.
    Reward if useful.
    Thanks,

  • Printing Issues with HP OfficeJet 100 and Windows 8.1

We use HP OfficeJet 100 mobile printers and have a printing issue. When we print the printer acts as if it is going to print and then prints one blank page.Printer will not print even though it is showing as default printer.Printer will just stop printing in the middle of a document, even in the middle of printing out a page. We are printing via the USB cableWe are using Windows 8.1We are connecting to laptopsWe have been using the HP mobile range of printers since 2004 and have only experienced these issues since we moved the laptops onto Windows 8/8.1 We have:Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers – this fixed this issue for a short while and then it reappeared againCalled HP support and they directed us to the driver support page which had the latest print drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers with them on the phone. This initially fixed the problem and then it returned a few days laterAfter trawling the support forums found directions to change the print processor to “WinPrint” – No effect as the processor was already on this settingDownloaded the HP diagnostic tool – HP Print and Scan Doctor – didn’t fix anything Any further help would be much appreciated.

Hello there Lawrence, Welcome to the Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience
I noticed your post about the troubles you are running into when you attempt to install your OJ 6100 printer on your Windows 8.1 laptop. I read all of your attempts and seen you have tried several methods to try and get the installation to complete successfully.
I would like to make some suggestions that may help. Let me know how it goes!
    1. Check that Internet Explorer pop-up blockers are turned off before downloading the installer
Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker: How do I turn off Pop-up Blocker?
    Try to install
    2. If you're running McAfee Live Safe or any other firewall, please temporarily disable the "real time scanning".
    How to disable realtime scans
    Try the install
    3. Go to the start screen (you may also press the windows key + R to open the run box) and type %WINDIR% this should show the windows folder.
Click on the folder and scroll until you see files. Look for a filed named "HPWINS*.DAT" (the * is for a number that varies) remove this file and try the installation.
    Try the install
    Enjoy your Monday!

  • HP ENVY 100 D410 Printing issues...

I have an HP ENVY 100 that has recently started having printing issues.  We recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and had no problems in the upgrade nor have we had any other software that we've changed.  The problem seems to be somewhat random and the results are always the same.  When commanded to print the printer acts as if it is running out of ink and then distorts the fonts creating vertical lines on the page and skipping rows creating what almost looks like a bar code. It's most peculiar and the only way I can find to solve the issue is to completely restart both my system and the printer.  Thinking that I had a driver issue on my Mac I used the utility on the printer to update drivers and none were found.  To insure that the problems wasn't isolated to just my machine I tried our laptop as well and it seems to have the same problem.  Has anyone had a similar problem?

    Hi Talon,
That more liekly related to the software indeed, I would suggest trying the following steps:
Reset the printing system as listed below:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c01371980
Open the Applications folder, then Hewlett-Packard and then open the Device Utilities folder, launch the HP Setup Asisistant and follow the steps to reconfigure the device.
If there is no Hewlett-Packard folder simply re-add the printer by clicking the plus button under Print & Scan.
Now try printing and follow for any difference.
If the same persists uninstall any HP Software by following the HP Uninstaller under the Hewlett-Packard folder.
If there is no Hewlett-Packard folder follow the steps listed under Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 > I used Apple Software Updates to install the product software below:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02440673&tmp_task=useCatego ry&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=5157536#N1305
Download and isntall the latest Lion Software below:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-97934-2 &cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=219&product=4073738&sw_lang=
Once completing the installation click the Apple icon and install any available Software Update.

  • New airport extreme and printer issues

    OK here is the deal
I have the new airport and a hp psc 750 printer. I have a new macbook which can not print on this printer. It will recognize it thru bonjour but will not install the driver - the odd thing is that I have a pc connected directly and a windows based wireless laptop which both are able to print via this airport. I also have an external hard drive that is connected to the airport. All of the computers are able access this drive. So all appears in order except for the macbook-printer issue. I contacted tech support and they claimed driver issue. Anyone have any ideas - I have updated the most recent drivers for this computer and I was able to install this printer via a usb connection. Thanks

There have been a few posts about issues with HP printers working or not working as the case may be through the extreme. I can't remember what they say, but a search for HP in this forum may well help you.
Sorry to be so vague, just thought it might be a start for you.

  • Printing issue

I just replaced my b/w cartridge which was working for about 10 copies and now trying to print a colored copy and while the color print is fine, the black ink is coming out blurry/smudged.     The screen indicates "Print cartridge problem  (Black) Refer to device documntatnion to troubleshoot"   I took out the cartridge, shook it, put it back in - no luck - help! Thanks
