Smartform table with empty value in cell
Hi,
in my smartform i´ve got a table with four fields:
e.g. MATERIAL QUANTITY BAGS TEXT
the question is that if value of field BAGS is initial the smartform displays
the value of field TEXT in the cell of field bags,
that is, if BAGS = INITIAL i would get:
MATERIALl QUANTITY TEXT
(the value of field TEXT has been shifted to the left)
What do i have to do in order to avoid the shifting of values to the left if one
of the cells has an empty value?

Hi,
I guess you are using tabs to print the four fields of tables.
As those are fields of tables make use of TABLES concept in smartform instead of tabs. Then it will print in the exact location.
Give each field as one cell in the table.

We are creating a cross tab report, with products as the columns, and relationship managers with direct and shared revenue displayed across the rows.
For Eg
Relationship Manager Coverage Product1 Product2 Product3 Product4
Bob Direct 100, 0, 35, 50
Shared 0, 0, 15, 0
Alex Direct 15, 25, 40, 10
Shared 5, 0, 5, 0
George Direct 0, 0, 0, 30
Shared 0, 0, 0, 5
The problem lies when either one of the products has no values, or one of the relationship managers has no direct or shared revenues. If one of the products has no revenues, it disappears, and also when one of the RMs has no direct or shared revenues, the Direct or Shared row disappears.
I have tried to create a second query just included the Coverage variable, and using this variable in Query 2 with the RM variable from query 1, along with checking the "Show Rows with Empty Measure values", "Show Rows with Empty Dimension Values" and "Show when empty", but it still does not appear to work.
It only shows rows with values in them, and shows the rows with empty values at the end with no RM.
I have not tried to solve for empty columns yet.
Help with this would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!

I think you can resolve this issue following ways ,
you need create another query ( Ex :Qauery2 ) add Product object and RM (Direct,shared) object only without conation. So now query2 result wil have all product and RM(Direct,shared).
Merge the Product object and RM between query1 and query2
Now create table using Product and RM from query2 and measure value from query1. Now you will get row even there is no data.
If you want try this sample report using efasion unvierse.
1) Add year ,state and Discount objects and apply condition Year Not in list "2004" and state Not in list "California "
2) run this query and create the cross tab table . Now you will not get 2004 column and California row in table.
3) Create query2 add Year and State only without any condition , run the query. Now query 2 will display all state and year .
4) Merge the column Year and State between query1 and query2
4) Create the cross table ussing Year and state from query2 and Discount from Query1
Now cross table will show 2004 and California ,even there is not in query 1.

Tables with more than one cell with a high number of rowspan (ej. 619). This cell can not be print in a page and it must be cut. But I don’t know how indesign can do this action.

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

Populate target table with default value
I have a query like this:
SELECT 0 AS ID,
9999999999 AS CODE
FROM DUAL
UNION ALL
SELECT VEH.TP_ID AS ID,
VEH.VEH_ID AS CODE
FROM TB_VEHICLE;
So I have an interface with two data sets, one for each query.
The first data set represents the "select from dual" "constant values" and the second represents the "select * from tb_vehicle".
In the first data set I don´t have a source, then ODI generates a select without a table "select 0 AS ID, 99999 AS CODE FROM".
Any ideas on how can I achieve my objective? I need to populate one row on target table with constant values.

Duplicate the LKM and IKM you are using, create copies , something like LKM xyz (No Source) , IKM xyz (No Source).
Then adust the KM steps accordingly, remove the 'FROM' part and replace with VALUES ( ) , keeping the odiref substitution call in the parenthesis.
So you basically have a knowlede module that accepts no source data, generating :
insert into C$
(col 1, col 2, col 3 etc)
VALUES
(Target mapping 1, target mapping 2, target mapping 3 etc)
I've seen it done, nice and tidy, keeps all the lineage in ODI etc. -

Records with a picklist field with empty values can't be seen from a report. I've created a report that have a picklist as a column. When there is no values the record(s) associated to this picklist don't appear. Do you know what are the common causes for this event?

go to SUIM > roles > roles by complexselection criteria>
under the selection according to authorization values give the object's form SU53 screen and press enter it will asks the values for given object pass the values as per the SU53 and execute it will give the list of roles.... capture the roles. The user gets access if you give the any one of the listed roles is assigned, assign the role as per your approval process.

Issue with empty value of LOV of first row after clicking on add row button
JDeveloper 11.1.14
I have a page with table-form layout.
In the form I have two detail tables on the same page (tabbed).
I have an issue with using model-choicelist LOV's in the detail tables.
I am able to add a new row in the detail table, select a value from the model-choiceList LOV (which is required) and save the new row.
After adding another row in this table the value of the model-choiceList LOV in the previous row is suddenly empty on the screen. It is not empty in the database,
I have checked it in the datbase. Only the value of the LOV of the first row on the page is being cleared after clicking on the add row button.
After saving the new row I get the following error on the screen:
Error: a selection is required. --> first row
Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this issue?After adding another row in this table the value of the model-choiceList LOV in the previous row is suddenly empty on the screen. It is not empty in the database, Is the complete LOV blank or only the selected value .. can you try putting autoSubmit=true in the LOV and try ? Also check if you have any partialTriggers on the LOV from the add button ?

External table with empty file
Hi,
My db version: Oracle 11g
I have an empty csv file.
I created a external table for the empty csv file.
When I run:
select count(*) from externaltblname;
It returns 1.
It should return 0 right.
In the definition, I specified "SKIP 1"
But still it returns 1.
When I use this external table to load into a target table. It loads a single row with null values.
How to fix this. Please advice.What works for me is the following (t_ext points to an empty csv):
SQL> select count(field) from t_ext;
COUNT(FIELD)
1
1 row selected.
SQL> select ascii(field) from t_ext;
ASCII(FIELD)
13
1 row selected.
SQL> select count(replace(field, chr(13))) from t_ext;

Issue with fetching a record from IHPA table with PARNR value as condition

I am trying to fetch a particular record from IHPA table where i am giving the OBJNR number, PARVW and PARNR as customer no. , But I am not getting any record but if i will give OBJNR and PARVW it will generate a record with having same PARNR value.
Example :
case 1st :-
when i am passing following values in IHPA table,
OBJNR = IE000000000010070910
PRAVW = BP
PARNR = 620000562
it is not generating any record
case 2nd:-
But if i will pass
OBJNR = IE000000000010070910
PRAVW = BP
it will generate a record?(one row) which will include PARNR as same 620000562 along with other value.
Q1 - Why it's not generating in case 1st,
Q2 - How I will resolve this issue ? as i have to link some table as EQUI -

But it is not generating any record but when i am commenting the PARVW i am getting the mixed record of PARVW as (BP,SP,SH)

Best way to update a table with disinct values
Hi, i would really appreciate some advise:
I need to reguarly perform a task where i update 1 table with all the new data that has been entered from another table. I cant perform a complete insert as this will create duplicate data every time it runs so the only way i can think of is using cursors as per the script below:

Almost anything would be better than that slow-by-slow loop processing.
You don't need a procedure you should just use MERGE for that. See the examples in the MERGE section of the SQL Language doc

How To Import Into A Table with Multi-Value Fields
Hello:
I have a table with a multi-value field that contains states in which a company does business. It is multi-value because there can be more than one state. I tried to import a text tab-delimited file in which the data was arranged as follows:
Field1 Tab Field 2 Tab OR, WA, CA Tab
The "State field contained the multiple entries separated by a comma (like they appear in a query of the multi-value field), but it won't accept it. Does anyone know how to import into a multi-value field?

Here's the code I used to populate a multi-value field from a parsed field. The parsing routine could be greatly improved by using the Split function, but at that time, I had not used it yet. FYI... the field name of the multi-value field in

Query to insert a row in a table with same values except 1 field.
Suppose I have a table with 100 columns(fields).
I want to insert a row with 99 fileds being the same as previous ones except one fileld being different.
The table doesn't have any constraints.
Kindly suggest a query to solve the above purpose..And for much more lazy people, a desc of table is shorter to write. :-)
Then copy & paste into any editor, then mode column to add a comma after every column name in one shot.Or have the system do it for you. Be lazy.

Transaction table with a value that is no longer valid?
Scenario:
1) We have an employee table and a department table.
2) The department table is effectively dated.
3) We need to be able to query all employees, past and present.
4) We need to be able to change an employee's department.
So, if we query an employee that does not have an active department, is there an easy way of showing the users that the field needs to be corrected when we go to an edit screen? They should not see their value in the selectOneChoice and other UI components. Ideally, I'd like to see the expired value in the UI component (modified) and then prevent the user from selecting that value should they actually perform an update.
I am just wondering if anyone else has done this before and what they did to resolve it.

BradWYou don't need to unpair it with the old machine, the mouse is unaware of the pairing. Turn the mouse off and back on and pair it to the new machine in System Preferences > Bluetooth.

PHP+MySQL query with empty value

Software is DW8 with Apache 2.0.48, MySQL ver. 4.0.15a, PHP
4.2.3.
We had problem when a submitted value for 'regionID' in the
submit page
was left blank and the following error message appears in the
result page:
"You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that
corresponds
to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near
'LIMIT 0,
3' at line 1"
The problem was solved by adding at the top of the page:

To achieve the above I executed the following query
insert into bonuses_proc (employee_id,bonus) select bon_chk from dual;
During the above it throws the error ORA-00947: not enough values
i understand the function return the v_result as onve value so it throws the above error
Could any one please clarify me on this?

yes we can do like above too, but i dont want to give the insert permission to the table to all the user,so is there any possiblities do it with ouput of function?If you would use the output of the function (if it had two values) you also need to do the insert as you tried to do in the initial post:
insert into bonuses_proc (employee_id,bonus) select bon_chk from dual;If you do not want insert permisions on a table for a user then you can put the whole SQL in a procedure in a schema with insert permisions and give the user exec rigth to that procedure.
The procedure can be like:
