Smartview for Office 11.1.2 and Office 2010 (64 bit)

Hi to all,
does anyone have some experiences if Smart View for Office works with Office 2010 in an 64bit environment? I know this is not yet officially supported, but what could be possible issues?

The short answer is no it's not supported -- I put in an enhancement request for this support probably 6 months ago.

Uli, you should probably post this thread in the SmartView forum where some of the Oracle SmartView development team read; the issue is a 64-bit add-in is a separate code-line from a 32-bit add-in; this means going forward when/if Oracle begins supporting 64-bit Office they will have a code base for 32-bit and one for 64-bit which is additional over-head across the board.

RoboHelp Office X5.0.1 and Office 2007

Can I use RoboHelp Office X5.0.1 with Office 2007?

And as a further aside, you can actually use RoboHelp HTML
alongside Office 2007 as long as you aren't expecting to produce
printed output or probably import from Word. But other than that,
it should run fine and produce basic WebHelp and .CHM output.
RoboHelp HTML doesn't rely on anything Word related (other than
what I mentioned) to function.

I have just purchased my first MacBook Pro and it is pretty fantastic. I own the disks for Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate, and Office 2010 Professional Plus, and need to run them in this Mac. 32 bit discs. Can this happen in boot camp?

I am trying to run Windows and Mac OS on my brand new MacBook Pro. I need to be able to boot to either one. I don't need a lot of hard drive space for the Windows OS. However, the software discs I own for Windows are 32 bit install. Is there a way to run this with what I have? I have the new MacBook 13 in. with retina display. 2.6Ghz i5 with 8GB RAM and 512 GB PCIe Hard drive.

I think you should take it back to the Geeks and tell them what you want, I also think you should backup before you do.
You do not need to reformat or repartition, you need to reinstall Windows from a 64bit copy, 32 & 64 have identical requirements as far as partition and format go, defragmenting has nothing at all to do with your needs.

My CD/DVD drive reads regular CDs/DVDs but installation DVDs such as iWork's and office for Mac it spits it out after trying to read it. Please help!!!

For some reason when I insert installation discs for programs like iWork's and office for Mac the drive does not read the disc. I tried movies and music and they worked perfectly. I was able to fix the problem with the iWork's disc by creating a disc image in another drive, I have yet to do this with the Office for Mac but I would like to know what could be the reason for this problem. Any help is appreciated.

I forgot that I have an extended AppleCare Protection Plan, I contacted Apple today (in Sydney) and they took me through step by step. I tried inserting my OS X disc and it accepted it, I tried putting in a commercial DVD (Star Wars) and it started playing. I then tried putting in a commercial CD and it wouldn't work through iTunes. It made incredibly sick whirring noises and then eventually (approx 5 minutes later) appearred on my desktop, but iTunes7 would not recognise the disc.
Then he suggested I log in under another username which I did... Then my drive prompty died. It does not accept any disc now. He said that I need to have my iBook seen to by a technician. Since I have the extended warranty, my repair shouldn't cost me anything (the extended warranty was ovver $400, so it better not cost anything), so I can't give you an indication as to what you will be up for.
You do not need o take your iBook to the place where you bought it, but ensure you have your sales receipt.

Error 20532 on Windows Vista and Office 2007

I have a application developed in VB6, with Access 2000 as backend, using CR8.5 for reporting, running upon W2K and Office 2000. Application working correctly.
Tested same application upon Vista and Office2007 PC. VB6 side of application working correctly. However when I select a report from within the application (report is CR 8.5), I get following error:
Run-time error '20532'
Cannot find database DLL.
I re-wrote the report in question (exact duplicate of previous) in Windows 2K environment, re-tested new version on Vista & Office07, and report worked perfectly well!
I do not want to have to re-write new versions of all reports, therefore can somebody shed some light into why the original report will not run on a Visa/Office07 PC ?

This error occurs since the Crystal Reports Data-Bound Control database DLL (P2bbnd.dll) is not included with a Typical installation of Crystal Reports 8.5. You will need to perform a Custom or Complete installation.
If Crystal Reports 8.5 has already been installed:
1. Run the Crystal Reports setup again.
2. Click 'Add/Remove'. The 'Select Features' section appears.
3. Expand 'Data Access'.
4. Click 'Bound Reporting' and then click 'Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive'.
5. Click 'Next'. The Start Installation section appears.
6. Click 'Next' to install the driver and continue the setup to completion.
NOTE:· For information about the runtime file requirements for Crystal Reports, refer to Knowledge Base article c2008238.

Leonidas is right that compare with Office 365 Enterprise E3, E4 plan includes Enterprise voice. For Busines Intelligence services, as far as I know, there is no differences between Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E4.

Office 2010 64-bit BPC

Hello Experts,
I am trying to get an offical notification regarding BPC and Office 2010 64-bit. I read somewhere in the forums that there are no plans for this version. Can someone please verify this for me?

For 7.0 and 7.5 it will not be supported. It will be supported for BPC 10.

How do i get the icloud add in for outlook 2010 64 bit

I am running windows 7 64 bit and outlook 2010 64 bit. I had the icloud add in installed but it became corrupted, so i removed it, but now my iphone calendar does not sync with outlook and i need to find a way to download and reinstall a functioning add in.

I have done that. When I try to synch my contacts and calendar I get the message: "Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."
But I do have Outlook configured with a default profile. When I follow the rabbit trail of troubleshooting it comes down to checking to make sure the iCloud add in is active. When I check that, not only is it not active - it's not there. Thus my original question: Where can I get the iCloud add in for Outlook?

Smartview 11.1.2.1 and Office 2010 on Citrix error closing word 2010

I have installed Hyperion Smartview 11.1.2.1.0 on a Windows 2008 R2 terminal server (with citrix xenapp 6) with Office 2010 (32 bits).
when i launch Microsoft word 2010 and close it i get the following error: Word cannot save this file because it is already open elsewhere (normal).
does anyone have an idea what this could be? when i disable the smartview add-in i dont get the error.
I use Roaming Profiles for the users.

Smart View and Citrix is a quirky combination. I've observed other strange behaviors in Smart View when using it on Citrix.

Hyperion SmartView for office problem

Hi,
I install hyperion hmf smartview for office 9.2.0.3.0.005 whith the admin right, I used it and can remove it from add in in excel 2003 sp3, but recentely we remove the admin right.
So now I can use it but I cant remove it from the add in in exel, that cause some conflict with other add in
Solution ??
We have Windows XP SP3 and Office pro 2003 SP3.

Not a pretty solution, but I have had users manually remove the add in files from the Program directory on the hard drive and then save them on their desktop for when they want to use it again.
I think I have read that the newer version has less trouble with excel functions.

Yosemite in general and Office 2011 for Mac compatibility?

Hi friends, I installed Yosemite in October and since then, I am having the following issue with Word / Powerpoint:
When I am trying to safe a file, in the "Safe under..." dialogue box, the part of the window with the cover flow is flickering and my computers performance is extremely delayed. Initially, I was thinking about a bug in the presentation which I was working on; however, just recently I noticed the same issue in MS Word. And this is my equipment:
- Mac Book Pro 13'' i7 from mid-2012 with 8GB memory, 500 GB HD storage, Mac-OS X 10.10.1
- MS Office for Mac 2011, last installed update 14.4.6 (The problem occurred already prior to the latest software update - however, the update didn't fix the issue...)
Is anyone of you experiencing similar problems? Does anybody have an idea how to fix it?

Smartview 11.1.2.1 on Win 7 and Office 2010 32bit

I installed 11.1.2.1 smartview on Win 7 and Office 2010 32 bit. The installation was successful but when I try to open Excel or Outlook I get the error that office encountered a serious problem with the add-in and disables the add-in to proceed. Any suggestions to make this work?

Yes in Window 7 and on Vista when installing you have to run as an administrator or disable UAC. Once installed you do not need to run as an administrator. On these new OS's even though you have admin right by default you do not run anything as an admin, this is a good thing but you have to be aware of it. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709691(WS.10).aspx#BKMK_WhatIs
