Smsy "Read System Number" customer number unknown for installation

Hi gurus,
I 'm configuring SMSY and following the steps outlined in the IMG in the basic settings and trying to configure RFC connections to/from satellite systems. In SMSY, I have 2 systems configured SMA and BIF.
tcode SMSY-> Systems -> SAP ERP -> SMA , Tab "System Data in SAP Support Portal".
Click "Read System Number" returns error SAP customer number unknown for installation number 0020179718. <-Why?
Click "Installation Data" shows data from SMP with correct installation number and correct customer number 706822.
      The S-user listed under "Contact Persons" is not mine, not the correct one. <- Why? How to fix?
      The system number from SMP matches value in System Number field.
Click "System Data" shows data from SMP also shows correct data.
Why unable to "Read System Number" when the correct system number is read via "Installation Data" and "System Data"?

Why unable to read system number?
When I login to SMP with same S-user, under System Data Maintenance, the same data is displayed as in "Installation Data" and "System Data" links.

I don't know what happened. I came into work today and tested the "Read System Number" and it worked. I read thru the 2 notes you mentioned, just read now. The first notes I had already followed before opening this thread. The 2nd notes also talked about turning off BAdI implementation AI_SDK_SP_RFC_RP, of which I did a couple of days ago before opening this thread. I had turned turned off BAdI and simplified the AISUSER table and removed the customer number field, in order to get back to the "single-user number" basic setup in the IMG.
I had found the problem with the wrong contact info on the SMA system. It was wrong in the SMP system maintenance under installation data.

    I´m faccing with the same error... I installed the solution manager Ehp1 and it have SPS20 applied which correspond to ST 400 level 20 (SAPKITL430).
    When I am in transaction SMSY in section Systems and I press the button "READ SYSTEM NUMBER" is shown an error message that says "SAP customer number unknown for installation" the details of help says:
    Diagnosis
    Installation number &V1& that is assigned to some system(s) in transaction SMSY is not assigned to an SAP customer number in table AIINSTALLATIONS.
    Procedure
    Please check the log of background job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT for errors.
    So, when I entry in that job log I found this error:
    No customer numbers maintained in view V_AISAPCUSTNOS   |  AI_SC_EN   |  106
    Then I went in table/view V_AISAPCUSTNOS and inside does not contain any data!!!
    All the notes I found were related to lower versions and so I could not implemented the snotes corrections!!  Any notes for my release that are related with this problem?
    Joao Cesar what you did for solve this problem??? You didn´t mentioned!! You only mentioned that you implemented some notes.. but which ones?!!?

        I need to know the relation ship between sold to party and customer number.I know that for a customer number there may be more than one ship to party.But i want to know whether there exist more than one sold to party for a customer number.     Generally we have some Paarner Functionslike
    SOLD TO PARTY
    SHIP TO PARTY
    BILL TO PARTY and
    PAYER. These are the partner functions.
    If u look in to Table VBAK u can find the Field name KUNNR with the data element KUNAG ( Sold to Party ).
    Customer Number and Sold to party may be same in some scenarios.
    SOLD TO PARTY will be always ONE for one Customer Number
    Customer Number may to Sold to Party or Ship to Party depending on the scenarios and the  requirment

  • Why does the System message-"Customer Num of customer is on hold" appear

    Hi,
    I created a UDO form with a field named “Customer Code” that represents a code of a customer.
    Pressing TAB over the field enables to choose a customer from a list.
    The list is based on Choose From List system object.
    When I choose a customer, who is on hold, I get a system message:
    “Customer <Number of customer> is on hold. Changes cannot be saved. Do you want to proceed?”
    This message is irrelevant because the purpose of the form is searching and displaying data.
    Why does this message appear, and how can I avoid it?

    Maybe, just after you select the customer from the choose from list, and just before you show it in you form, thus, making the msgbox appear, you can check if the bp is frozen and manage to click in the ok button of the msgbox using UI api....

    Could you please let me know what version of OS are working on.
    You might receive this error when you attempt to install on a drive with the HFS+ Case Sensitive file system, which is not supported for installation of Adobe Creative Suite 6.
    So, please try installing on a drive that has been formatted with a supported file system.
    You might refer the KB doc link mentioned below for the same:

    i have deleted a customer cos it was repeated ,now there were some sales orders where that customer is a sold-to-party
    when ever i try to open thous sales orders the systems gives an error message [ no customer record exist for sold to party ******* ]
    the sales orders that does not open because of this error are no more wanted

  • Customer number is mandatory for mvt. 201

    Dear All,
    I want to capture only Part I entries while doing a goods issue movement type 201 in MIGO.
    But when i select the option and put Classification type as IPD, then on check of document, the system gives me error to put Customer number and Excise Base Value.
    I want to know why these information are required while posting only Part I during inhouse consumption.
    Is this the standard working or am i missing out anything

    Our client updating the registers for the consumption of the material. So that we added the mvt. type 201 for Part 1 reg. in 'Specify Which Movement Types Involve Excise Invoices'.
    After doing that setting, when we are issuing the material the excise invoice tab is appearing in MIGO and asking for the 'Goods issue indicator' i.e. IIM. But at the Excise Header tab system asking to enter Customer.
    I am not able to understand why this field is required? And if I don't want that, where can I do the setting for that i.e. where is the field selection for Excise Header tab? The error is 8I 036 which I unable to find in message contol to remove.

    My Complaint:  I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for approx 20 years.  I called customer service to seek an early upgrade for my daughter's phone. She is away in college and her phone is malfunctioning.  She is eligible for an upgrade in approx 6 weeks so I did not want to spend the money on a replacement phone when since we were planning on updating to something newer.  The customer service rep to me they could not do the early upgrade an to call back in a few weeks. After explaining this was unacceptable (I do not like the idea of a young female being out of state and away from home with no reliable means of communication), she places me on hold to later return with the only offer of  I must purchase a new device through her ( over the phone) which will be shipped to me, the phone was priced $100.00 more than the online price (they will not price match), plus i must pay $30.00 upgrade fee, $35.00 activation fee and taxes on the retail price of the phone.  I am upset and disappointed with the quality of service provided by Verizon being a 20 year customer.  If not for the seriousness and urgency of this matter, i would not have asked for an early upgrade.  It is times such as these that you get to see how much of a "valued customer" you really are.   I guess you are valued as long as you pay your bill and continually  purchase their products.  I would like to speak with someone from Verizon's corporate or customer relations department.  As of now I am really considering changing my service to a different provider.  I have multiple accounts with Verizon and i will canx each after the current contract committment expire (starting with my daughter's phone which expires in 6 weeks) In the meantime I will go purchase her a new phone with someone else and take comfort knowing she will have reliable communication.

    I started with them in 1985. It has been wonderful service but very expensive. They seem to operate on day of deposit day of withdrawal. That means that I have no benefits nothing beyond the normal customer if I don't pay my bill they shut me off. That's why I have switch to another provider and I have better service lower cost and better phones. you can't beat  other providers I mean it. Please don't expect more from verizon other than a "pay me more money and I'll do what you want" because it's all about money. Read the transcripts from current Verizon employees all over the internet. The company is going down and they're taking customers with them.

  • Return to vendor via delivery, customer number for each vendor?

    Hi
    We wish to use return materials to Vendor via delivery process
    addition to required configuration, we need to maintain Customer number in Vendor master
    In out plant we have more than 500 Vendor masters, do we need to create customer number for each vendor? or can we create a generic customer ????
    Business has a concern on creating customer for each vendor since number is huge, Sales guys may get confused with these numbers
    Please suggest a way out

    We have Vendor Work flow setup in the system. Which means when ever vendor master is changed [Return indicator ticked] workflow kicks off which means it goes for approvals. This is why we dont want to go for tick as and when needed. When ever there is a return, return to vendor must be ticked, it will go for approval etc so it slows the process
    we are thinking if we can achieve through data load before SAP GO-Live so that users able to return without any delay
    NOTE 447070 says 'the automatic creation of the required customer data is not supported in the data transfer'
    this is related to automatic customer create isnt it
    i was thinking as below
    --> Create Ship-to's for all vendors
    --> Load vendors via LSMW [along with return to vendor ticked and customer number(created above)]
    Tested in SAP
    created ship-to
    Created vendor with above customer number
    Do you see any issue?

    Ive emailed support about this but think it will be valuable to include here as well since i have not seen a solution. We currently use hosted buttons for recurring payments with the "custom" property set to our internal customer number. We set the custom value dynamically based on the current user. This all works perfectly and paypal correctly informs our back end via ipn of the the customer that has made a purchase.

My sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused but that is how it works." I dont quite understand this when developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/admin/download-history/ explicitly states that this field IS available in the the report AND I can confirm it works for other button types.
