Snapshot report

Hi all,
I have one requirement in share point 2013.I have one custom list in share point 2013 site and this list is associated with workflow. i have to develop one report and this report would provide a snapshot of the current project data in the project record
at the time that finance group will approve the request and the selected project data would be saved in a report format in a PDF file and stored in the project record as a document in the format like snapshot.pdf.
Can anybody help me on this. The forms are designed in Info path.
Thanks

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to create report would provide a snapshot of the current project data in the project record.
I recommend to use Nintex to capture this snapshot as part of the workflow.
Here is a great article for your reference:

  • Weekly/Monthly Snapshot Report

    Hi,
I have now three cubes Daily,Weekly and Monthly cubes...
I had made copy of the daily cubes as weekly and monthly.. There is no difference as such structure wise...
But what extra i need to do to make these weekly snapshot report and monthly snapshot report..
Now all three cubes are added in multiprovider and multiprovider was used in the definition of the query..
For daily cube report though, i had simply restricted infoprovider as daily cube and designed the query..
But what about weekly and monthly snapshot reports?
as snapshot reports are basically meant for comparing time periods how i could achive the same in reporting?
What i am contemplating as follows:
    1) Since these are comparing different times ( for weekly snapshot, you must have at least two different weeks of data to compare ) i guess we need to include a time chararistic 0CALWEEK for Weekly snapshot, 0CALMONTH for Monthly snapshot..
But even after including this time charactristic, how i would be comparing?
i am not clear on how to creata a snapshot report
What one has to do in the weekly and monthly cube to be able to compare the data on weekly/monthly basis?

    Simran,
Weekly Snapshot means entire data has to restated against each week.
For example to check open orders status week wise, entire open orders(till end of current week) has to restate against current week. at end of the week, need to pass remaining open orders as next weeks snap shot.
In this way we will get snapshoting of open orders week wise. We can use these weeks to compare.
For weekly snapshot add week to cube, and at end of each week pass current week closing balances as next week opening balances + transactions in that Week gives snap shot of that week.
For example Check: [HOW TO HANDLE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SCENARIOS IN BW (NW2004)|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f83be790-0201-0010-4fb0-98bd7c01e328]
    Snapshot scenario.
    Hope it Helps

  • OBIEE Snapshot Report

    Hi All,
    The requirement is as follows:
I need to generate a new snapshot report having quarterly frozen metrics, i.e. these metrics which will not change after quarter end and this feature should not have any impact to any of the existing reports/dashboards.
The new reports have been added in a separate Tab/Dashboard as a part of existing Dashboard.
Could any one of you please suggest a way to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Chandu.

    hi,
the only way is to transfer the data in the DB.
1 way is with javascript or 2,with writeback.Every 15 minutes insert data in a temp table that you want.and then to pass all the tables you want in the dashboard. Then truncate them...and so on....
this is the simple way, othewise with i-bot ,download the data in excel format, then with batcj job transfer to a appropriate folder and then use excternal tables to read them,
    Sorry ,only workarounds
    hope i helped....

  • Snapshot report showing wrong instance on grid control!!!

    Hi
On one of the cluster environments, Even though I run snapshot report on instance 2, report shows instance 1. This i happening on one set of cluster environment. Other cluster instances are working fine.
Let me know if you have seen such behavior and fix...
    Thanks,

It does not matter how many instances you have running in a RAC cluster ... you have one and only one database.
Define your use of the term "snapshot." We have no idea to what you are referring.

  • Pipeline snapshot Report and Sales Stage Change

How to identify the sales stage on the day when the Pipeline snap shot was taken.
Here is my scenario I have to build a pipeline snap shot for the last 3 months of all opportunities where sales stage on the day of the snapshot is not in say Sales Stage 'A' In the pipeline history report the opportunity section showcases the current sales stage and not the sales stage on the day when the snapshot was made.

    Dear Praveen Kumar
Have you tried with VBAP where sale order details at item level would be stored.
Moreover, to my knowledge, there won't be any changes as for as pricing is concerned at sale order level but there is at billing level.  Normally, any price increase / decrease would reflect in billing.  So why dont you to table join through SQVI VBAP (for sale order details) and VBRP (for billing details) so that you can compare the selling price in sale order with billing.
    Thanks

  • Snapshot Report History and Edit rights

I have a report that is generating snapshots based on a schedule. I have a user base that have view rights to the library / folder - The only way to allow them to see report history is to give them edit rights..
this doesn't sound right - I have validated this with other company - out of the box setup.
I can not have users with edit access to report object -
Any ideas - thoughts would be much appreciated.
    Bryan
    Thanks Bryan Thompson

    Hi Bryan,
As per my understanding, if a user want to see the Report History, he should have View rights. If he want to manage the Report History, he should also have Manage report history rights.
While if we want to access the report from extranet (other company), we should plan for an extranet deployment for Reporting Services. In your scenario, we can create a custom Internet application which call the report server web services with snapshot features.
For more details about Extranet Deployment, please refer to the following two documents:

  • TtStats in 11.2.2.7.0 - there's a limit to snapshot reporting

If you are testing for a specific workload and want to determine database statistics related to that workload you may wish to use just the raw statistics, we tried using snapshots and there is a limit, even pulling 5 minute snapshots on a modern 2 socket system produces a sequence error in the ttStats package so you have a limit there that can not be easily crossed.
Instead just use the raw output and redirect the files and use them as such.

Can you provide a copy of the sequence error you saw from ttStats, and some details on how you were running it? I haven't been able to find a known bug which reports this as a symptom.
There are limits to, for example, how many snapshots you can store, but these are configurable - for example, from the Docs:
Specify a limit of 500 stored snapshots:
    call tt_stats.set_config('MAX_SNAPSHOT_COUNT', 500);

  • Snapshot Reports randomly (not) triggering Subscription

    Hi.
I currently have set up 5 reports that generates a snapshot once a month, additionally I have set on a subscription on each of these.
The problem I am facing is that it seems that the subscription are triggered randomly, one month the subscriber can get 1 report, other months it can get 5 reports (and all in between).
The subscriptions are set up with: "When the report content is refreshed. This option is available only for report snapshots."
And when I view the subscription and snapshot-history of a report that was not send this month (at the time I am writing this), it says:
Snapshot History:  3/1/2015 12:00:10 AM  (lastrun)
Subscriber:            2/1/2015 12:00 AM (last run)
IE: Last month this report had no problem, but this month is has... (This have been going on for a year now)
Does anybody have an idea what could be causing this? (This month 4 of 5 reports got sent)

    Hi Gaute Odin,
Per my understanding that you have configured the  Report-special Schedule in the
Snapshot Options to add snapshots to report history and also schedule the subscription set up with: "When the report content is refreshed. This option is available only for report snapshots.", now the issue is that subscription didn't
run as the schedule in the snapshot history, right?
Generally, when you configure the schedule in the "Snapshot Options", it will generate snapshot due to this schedule and you can find the new snapshot information in the "Report History", this setting
have no relationship with the shedule of the subscription.
When you configured the schedule under the "Render this report from a report snapshot" session of the "Processing Options" you will get the subscription to run due to this schedule:
So, please check in the above sceenshot to make sure the schedule is set correcttly.
If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • OAM snapshot reports for ebs 11i or R12

    Hi,
Is there a report in OAM that shows the activity for the last 24-hr? Say what process has encountered problem, or what process took so much resources CPU/IO/MEMORY, or how many users has login within this period, or anything
important that transpired within this period?
Or something that extact data for V$SQLAREA? or another V$ tables that stores historal activities.
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi,
You can monitor the activities/sessions from (OAM > Site Map > Monitoring > Current Activity).
When you click on (Logs > Advanced Search) you can search by date/time.

    hello,
    have a look at this'
ORA-13711:Some snapshots in the range [string, string] are missing key statistics.
Cause:      Some AWR tables encountered errors while creating one or more
snapshots in the given range. The data present in one or more of these missing
tables is necessary to perform an ADDM analysis.
Action:      Look in DBA_HIST_SNAP_ERROR to find what tables are missing in
the given snapshot range. Use the ERROR_NUMBER column in that view
together with the alert log to identify the reason for failure and take necessary action to
prevent such failures in the future. Try running ADDM on a different snapshot range
that does not include any incomplete snapshots.thanks and regards

  • What is the best way to produce different report types out of the same SSRS Report

So I have a request to produce different report types based on a "Line Of Business" Parameter that is provided. I know that SSRS sometimes struggles with gathering the Metadata based on IF Statements.
What is the best way to provide multiple different report types with different data based on the "Line Of Business" Parameter that is provided? Can I simply do this via the SQL Stored Procedure? And how so that the Metadata is collected correctly?
Just don't know what the generally accepted business principle is on this and how to go about doing it.
Thanks in advance for your review and am hopeful for a reply.

    Hi ITBobbyP,
Per my understanding that you have create an parameter (Line Of Businiess) to get diffetent types of report, I would like to confirm with you want do you mean about the different report types?
Is that mean you have table and one column named Report type, you want to filtered on this column? Or the report type you mean is like Parameterized reports,Linked reports,Snapshot reports,Subreports and so on.
If want you want is through the selection of the parameter to change the report type(Parameterized reports,Linked reports,Snapshot reports,Subreports ..),currently it is impossible to acheive this.
If you still have any problem, please try to provide more details information about your reqirements, the sampe data in the table, the report structure you have designed and so on.
Any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Report Painter--Addition of Period

    Hi All
We made a report using report painter. Is there a method to add 'from period to period' instead of only 'to period'. It will allow us to put periods in range.
    Regards
    Pankaj

    Hi Adhikari,
Go to GRR2, select your report, go to Edit Menu, click on "Gen. Data Selection" and then select the Period from Available Characteristics and select the period variable from Period - To Period. First Two Character of Variable represents Standard library e.g. in below snapshot Report Library is belongs to EC-PCA Profit Center.
