SNMP comm str indexing with a shut VLAN

Hi,
Hope someone can help us with the following. We encounter problems when accessing a Bridge-MIB value using a SNMP comm str index of the VLAN.
The VLAN (interface) in question is shut. If the SNMP comm str index is used for this VLAN, the Cisco device generates SNMP authentication failure traps.
So vb:
VLAN 100 is shut.
executing:
snmpwalk -community public@100 1.3.6.1.2.1.17.4.3.1.1
output:
SNMP authentication failure traps
For us the questions are:
Is this normal behaviour?
Is the SNMP comm string index (MIB instance) available when the VLAN inf is shut?
If so, is it possible to enable the MIB instance eventhough the VLAN inf is shut?
Thanks in advance for the help!!!
Kind Regards

Currently, there is no existing mib object to shut/no shut a vlan.  CLI does allow user to shut down a vlan.  Once a user shut down a vlan from the CLI, there is an additional vlan status shown in 'show vlan id xyz',  yet there is no MIB objects to show this additional status.  vtpVlanState is mapped to the first value in the Status but there should be a way to show additional status.

  • STR's with an S Loc

    Hi All,
    We are using one of our WH's as a storage location in SAP & would like to deal with it in terms of STR's for the supply & receipt of products. While I know that we can create STR's using MRP Area concept, in APO (SCM 7.0) the SAP documentation says STR creation with MRP areas is not supported for MTO (make-to-order) process.
    Any idea how this can be done or if anyone has tried this before?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I created oracle text context indexing with Path section group and was trying to retrieve an element using the below query but it was not giving me any output

    There are only 2 elements I or O in that node.
    with O i am able to retrieve so wanted to know how i can retrieve with I

  • Comm Str.

    Dear All,
        How do i create a Comm Str. and how do i link that with infosource.

    Take a look here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/80/1a62a5e07211d2acb80000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
    Once you create an infosource, you have already a (blank) communication structure; here you can put what you want to pass (as metadata, that is, infoobjects) on the above levels of your DW (any provider...).
    On the back end, by assigning a source system(s) and a datasource(s) you have to manage transfer structure and transfer rules in order to manage whiche fields coming from source system you want and how do you want to pass these fields to the object of your communication structure...
    Hope it helps!

  • ODC-Create Commit and Index Profiles in Bulk

    Is there a way to create commit and index profiles en masse with ODC? And also Import Server jobs?
    I have a need to create perhaps several hundred specific of these, due to specific queuing requirements by a customer.
    Any pointers or insights welcome.

    There is one "Import-Export" utility provided by Oracle for dealing settings of ODC.
    May be you can create that export file though Java program which can be then imported in ODC using that utility. The format of Export file needs to be studied.

    Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
    The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
    However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
    I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
    However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
    So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

  • Error when creating index with parallel option on very large table

    I am getting a
    "7:15:52 AM ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kxfqupp_bad_cvl], [7940], [6], [0], [], [], [], []"
    error when creating an index with parallel option. Which is strange because this has not been a problem until now. We just hit 60 million rows in a 45 column table, and I wonder if we've hit a bug.
    Version 10.2.0.4
    O/S Linux
    As a test I removed the parallel option and several of the indexes were created with no problem, but many still threw the same error... Strange. Do I need a patch update of some kind?

    This is most certainly a bug.
    From metalink it looks like bug 4695511 - fixed in 10.2.0.4.1

  • Can we associate index with foreign key?

    hello
    i have searched and could not find the answer to the above;
    i have a foreign key constraint on the tables; i added an index on that column as well;
    however when i query the all_constraints, under index_name for this foreign constraint there is nothing; only when i have PK/UK i case see indexes associated with them;
    will then oracle still associate my index with the FK constrained column? or i need to excplicity associate it with the foreign key column? if so, how to do that?
    thx

    Hi,
    UserMB wrote:
    i have a foreign key constraint on the tables; i added an index on that column as well;It helps if you give a specific example, such as:
    "I have a foreign key constraint, where emp.deptno references dept.deptno. (Deptno is the primary key of dept.) I created an index called emp_deptno_idx on emp.deptno as well."
    however when i query the all_constraints, under index_name for this foreign constraint there is nothing; only when i have PK/UK i case see indexes associated with them;Not all indexes are associated with a constraint. In the example above, you wouldn't expect to see anything about the index emp_demptno_idx in all_constraints or in all_cons_columns.
    will then oracle still associate my index with the FK constrained column? or i need to excplicity associate it with the foreign key column? if so, how to do that?In the situation above, Oracle will still use the index when the optimizer thinks it will help. You don't have to do anything else.

  • Problem generating index with 2th level in cs4

    Windows XP sp 3 - Indesign CS4 601
    When generating an index with a 1st and a 2th level, in the 2th level the entry of the 1st entry is always repeated.
    E.g. the index should look as this:
    text     75
         capitalized     76
         import     78
    word     105
         language     108
         meaning     109
    But actually the index looks as this:
    text     75
         textcapitalized     76
         textimport     78
    word     105
         wordlanguage     108
         wordmeaning     109
    Is this a bug, or is there a solution for it?

    Oops!
    Just tested the script.
    I run it, and I get the script alert 'All Done' at the end.
    But nothing happens.
    This is what I do:
    - I generate the index.
    - I select the index with the text tool (select all or just put the textcursor somewhere in the index makes no difference).
    - I run the script
    - I get the message 'all done', but there is no difference. The problem persists.
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks anyway.

  • Performance - composite index with 'OR' in 'WHERE' clause

    I have a problem with the performance of the following query:
    select /*+ index_asc(omschact oma_index1) */ knr, projnr, actnr from omschact where ((knr = 100 and actnr > 30) or knr > 100)
    and rownum = 1;
    (rownum used only for test purpose)
    index:
    create index on omschact (knr, projnr);
    Execution plan:
    Id Operation
    0 SELECT STATEMENT
    1 COUNT STOPKEY
    2 TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID
    3 INDEX FULL SCAN
    If I'm correct, the 'OR' in the 'WHERE' clause is responsible for the INDEX FULL SCAN, what makes the query slow.
    A solution would be then to separate the 'WHERE' clause in 2 separate select's (1 with 'knr = 100 and actnr > 30' and 1 with 'knr > 100' and combine the results with a UNION ALL.
    Since it's necessary to have all rows in ascending order (oma_index1) I still have to use an ORDER BY to make sure the order of the rows is correct. This results again in a (too) low performance.
    Another solution that does the trick is to create an index with the 2 fields (knr, projnr) concatenated and to use the same in the 'WHERE' clause:
    create index oma_index2 on omschact (knr || projnr);
    select /*+ index_asc(omschact oma_index2) */ knr, projnr, actnr from omschact where (knr || projnr) > 10030;
    I just can't believe this work-around is the only solution, so I was hoping that someone here knows of a better way to solve this.

    padders,
    I'll give the real data instead of the example. The index I really use consists of 4 fields. In this table the fields are just numbers, but in other tables I need to use char-fields in indexes, so that's why I concatenate instead of using formula's (allthough I would prefer the latter).

  • Performance of context index with sorting

    Dear All,
    I've got a problem and don't know how to solve this.
    there has a table which have a XMLTYPE field to store the unstructred xml, and created with context index.
    When I try to select a record from it by using contains (res, '[searchingfield]')>0, the response time is quick, but when I try to order by another field which in the same table, the response time is drop down slightly. (ex. select id, path, res, update_date from testingtbl where contains(res, 'shopper')>0 order by update_date desc.
    Actually there is a context index build for field 'res', any other index build for field 'update_date', when sql without 'order by update_date', the context index will use, but the update_date index will not be used even have ordering criteria.
    Is there any expect can tell how to solve this? how to keep the performance even doing the sorting process?
    Thanks and Regards
    Raymond

    Thanks for your quick reply.
    The mentions information provide after back to office, actually I just want to know if there is any method(s) which can use the context index (with contains keyword) and sorting without slow down the performance.
    Thanks and Regards

    Can someone tell me what's happening

    Pages is crashing for some reason.
    You say that other documents open with no problems, do you mean other Pages documents or documents in another app?
    Try closing Pages completely in the recents tray and reboot your iPad. See if that helps. If it doesn't help, you may have to delete and reinstall Pages. If that doesn't work, you might have a corrupt document that you need to track down and delete.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
