SOA server not starting: Due to change of hostname of SOA suite 11g

Hi friends,
My machine has been recently moved to a new location and hostname (ip address remains same) has changed. Hence, the soa server (admin server still running) on my machine is not starting up.
Some details are:
a.) Earlier hostname: CALTP8BB13
b.) New hostname: CALTP8BB16
From the soa server log files the details are as follows:
####<Jul 13, 2010 6:31:52 PM IST> <Info> <messaging.interception> <CALTP8BB16> <soa_server1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1279026112029> <BEA-400000> <Initializing message interception service>
####<Jul 13, 2010 6:31:54 PM IST> <Error> <Configuration Management> <CALTP8BB16> <soa_server1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1279026114342> <BEA-150000> <An error occurred while establishing a connection back to the adminstration server t3://CALTP8BB13:7001 during startup. Hi Shomit
As far as I know, the Domains Hostname is stored only in config.xml file. So IP Address is same just Host name is changed CALTP8BB13 to CALTP8BB16. Check for some basic things.
1. If on Windows OS, try adding this new Hostname and its IP address in hosts file located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. If on Unix Env, I guess there should be a similar file to set the hostnames mapped with IP addresses.
2. Since the machine is moved to a brand new location and incase kind of different network, check the firewall settings to see if firewall is blocking this new hostname.
3. To make sure the domain is still good, I guess you already tested with old hostname after moving to new building. Try testing by giving the direct IP address also. This is just confirmation test to make sure domain is not messed up. If both of these works, it simply means issue is with Hostname and IP not getting mapped or new hostname getting blocked over the network. May be network folks can pitch in.
Hostname or IP addresses should not be in any startup or env scripts. Domainname, servername will be definetly there in lot of files but not the hostname or ip address as far as I know.
Thanks

    Is the NodeManager , AdminServer running ?The NodeManager is not running. Is it required?
    Also, I haven't closed the command prompt.
    I noticed the issue when I tried to deploy my project. Connected to Localhost/7001 but in the deploy project window, I dont see any soa_server instance
    running. Also, in the console the soa_server status is shutdown.

  • Weblogic server not starting due to connection pool error.

    Hi all,
    We have some issues with the network due to that, weblog server not able to create the connection pool or make physical connection with the database in the allocated time, we need to increase the timeout so that weblogic can wait and create a connection and then start the apps. How to achieve this?

    Hi,
    It looks like your DB is down for now and that is reason why the server cannot initialize your App while startup.
    Check which Data source you are using and make initial capacity as zero and try to restart the server again.
    Note: you need to do this changes from JMS module under %Domain_Home% / config / jdbc/

  • Managed SOA Server not started in cluster environment.

    Hi,
    I am trying to make a SOA cluster environment on Linux based machines. After doing domain configuration which also involved packing of domain on machine 1 and unpacking on machine2, I tried to start the servers. I'm able to start AdminServer successfully and also the managed soa server on the same machine. When I'm trying to start managed soa server on other machine, I'm getting the following error..
    *<Unable to establish JMX Connectivity with the Adminstration Server AdminServer at service:jmx:t3://192.168.122.1:7001/jndi/weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime.*
    java.io.IOException>
    My machine IP is XXX.XX.XXX.41 for Admin and XXX.XX.XXX.42 for Machine2. I guess the IP 192.168.122.1 is being used for cluster connection by Machine2 to make connection to Machine1. the managed soa server is getting started after the chain of error logs but it is not starting as a part of the entire cluster and comes as shutdown in WLS Console.
    I'm using Linux 5 Update 7 OS and SOA 11.1.1.5.0. Any help will be appreciated for resolving this issue.
    Please find the logs below.

    hi,
    I was able to resolve this issue. I haven't given Listen IP address for Admin Server as I have selected All Local Addresses during domain creation. As per some blog this allows Managed Server on remote machine to use any of the Address to speak to Admin Server. In this case it is using 192.168.122.1 rather than so called IP Address.
    Simple fix will be giving DNS Name of Machine or IP Address.
    Cheers,
    Varun

    Hi,
    first shutdown the servers and then log-in as SYSTEM in your database. Then execute the following commands after you replace PARRUN_SOAINFRA with the name of your local SOA INFRA schema:
    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;
    begin
    po.block := true;
    dbms_aqadm.purge_queue_table(queue_table => '"PARRUN_SOAINFRA"."EDN_EVENT_QUEUE_TABLE"',purge_condition => 'qtview.queue=''AQ$_EDN_EVENT_QUEUE_TABLE_E''',purge_options => po);
    end;
    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;
    begin
    po.block := true;
    dbms_aqadm.purge_queue_table(queue_table => '"PARRUN_SOAINFRA"."EDN_OAOO_DELIVERY_TABLE"',purge_condition => 'qtview.queue=''AQ$_EDN_OAOO_DELIVERY_TABLE_E''',purge_options => po);
    end;
    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;
    begin
    po.block := true;
    dbms_aqadm.purge_queue_table(queue_table => '"PARRUN_SOAINFRA"."IP_QTAB"',purge_condition => 'qtview.queue=''AQ$_IP_QTAB_E''',purge_options => po);
    end;
    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;
    begin
    po.block := true;
    dbms_aqadm.purge_queue_table(queue_table => '"PARRUN_SOAINFRA"."EDN_EVENT_QUEUE_TABLE"',purge_condition => 'qtview.queue=''EDN_EVENT_QUEUE''',purge_options => po);
    end;
    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;
    begin
    po.block := true;
    dbms_aqadm.purge_queue_table(queue_table => '"PARRUN_SOAINFRA"."EDN_OAOO_DELIVERY_TABLE"',purge_condition => 'qtview.queue=''EDN_OAOO_QUEUE''',purge_options => po);
    end;
    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;
    begin
    po.block := true;
    dbms_aqadm.purge_queue_table(queue_table => '"PARRUN_SOAINFRA"."IP_QTAB"',purge_condition => 'qtview.queue=''IP_IN_QUEUE''',purge_options => po);

    declare po dbms_aqadm.aq$_purge_options_t;

    Finally start the servers and wait to see if soa suite will start properly. Hopefully it will work for you too.

  • Server not starting - Failed to Connect to hostname/3201

    Hi,
       The Sneak Preview Version was working fine.. All of a sudden the server is not starting up.. It is throwing up the following error in the server0 log default.trc
    ##0#0#Error#1#/System/Server#Plain###Encomi: failed to connect to ganni/3201(Connection refused: connect)#
    What is this server 3201.. How can i fix this issue..
    Thanks,
    Ganesh

    Hi,
    I assume you are talking about the ABAP Stack:
    3201 is a port number, normally used on the ABAP Stack for dialog with SAP-Gui. 01 should be your system number. Did you change anything in the services File or any other configuration?
    There should be an entry look like this:
    File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
    sapdp01          3201/tcp
    Possible reason: Port is allocated, Changed User credentials?

  • SOLMAN doest not start due to changes in default profile

    Hi!
    I have change 2 parameters in my SOLMAN 4.0 system  in DEFAULT-Profile (eu/iwb/installed/languages=DE and eu/iwb/help_type = 1).
    After this my system does not come up via SAP GUI.
    I have deleted the two parameters at the OS Level in (usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile), but the the same error appears "You have not installed any languages".
    <b>Are this changes (change at the OS level th file DEFAULT.pfl) active or should I import the profile via RZ10. The problem is, I cannot access to the system via SAP GUI...
    How can I correct this error and return to the presious state? </b>
    Please help me, it is very important
    regards!

    Dear Axel,
    The parameter is not eu/iwb/installed/languages but eu/iwb/installed_languages.
    Kindly correct the parameter in the Profile and you should be able to use the Solution Manager system.
    Hope this helps.

  • An error 1069 - )The service did not start due to logon failure) occurred while performing this service operation ...

    Hi All,
    We seem to be being plagued by the error below by our SQL Server agent. This happens almost everytime we restart the server that has been running for a day or two.
    Our SQL Server Agent uses a none expiring domain credential. I understand that this problem only happens when the profile being used by the SQL Servr Agent has changed (password change). What puzzles me is that the login is A ok and no changes has been made to it's password.
    We always resolve this problem by changing the login used in the SQL Server Agent to local and after that, returning it back to it's original domain login. Unfortunately, we cant always do this everytime something goes wrong.
    Can anyone please help us shed a light on this? We're using SQL2k with SP3a. Thanks!

    Description:
    The SQLSERVERAGENT service was unable to log on as DomainName\SQLAgent with the currently configured password due to the following error:

    This service account does not have the necessary user right "Log on as a service."
    User Action
    Assign "Log on as a service" to the service account on this computer. You can use Local Security Settings (Secpol.msc) to do this. If this computer is a node in a cluster, check that this user right is assigned to the Cluster service account on all nodes in the cluster.
    If you have already assigned this user right to the service account, and the user right appears to be removed, a Group Policy object associated with this node might be removing the right. Check with your domain administrator to find out if this is happening.
    For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp
    ...sure enough it had been removed from the "Logon as a service" list. Hope this helps.

  • 'error 1069 - (The service did not start due to a logon failure) in BAM

    I installed BAM on XP SP2, i do have IIS configured and XE DB, after installing when i tried starting the services as per post-installion guide.i did found the error 'An error 1069 - (The service did not start due to a logon failure).In google i could find a remedy saying
    Remedy: Go to Start /Programs / Administrative tools / Services. Right-click the Goodlink Server and select Properties. Click the Log On tab. Retype the correct password. Start the Goodlink service.
    i did so but did found the same error.So i tried changing a few things in LogOn tab such as " Earlier it was logging in from machine name and pwd , since it gave an error" i changed it to local system account ." now all services of BAM have started except Oracle BAM Active Data cache.
    Anyone pls rep how do i resolve this? Do i need to re-install? i need this to be done very urgently.

    Windows XP is not a certified platform for BAM. However, the product works fine on XP for evaluations and demos. For production, use a certified/supported version of Windows as is documented in the Software System Requirements section of the BAM Install Guide.
    All Postinstall steps apply to all versions of Windows that BAM runs on except for the Postinstall step called "Required Configuration for Microsoft Windows Server 2003". As indicated by the step name, this one is for W2003 only.
    "network not found windows 53 error" is generally a network, account or password issue. Please follow the Install Guide step by step to avoid installation issues like this.
    See "Troubleshooting Start Page Issues" for start page problems.
    As indicated in the Install Guide, you can use host names or IP addresses:
    "12. On the Configure location of Oracle BAM step, enter the host name or the IP
    address where each component is to be installed, even if it is not being installed at
    this time, then click Next."

  • Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).

    Windows 7 users in my domain are unable to configure or change backup settings.  Users are able to open Control Panel > Backup and Restore, but when they click
    Change settings, they receive the error: Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).
    The same error is received when executing sdclt.exe /configure at the command prompt, regardless of whether the command prompt is launched using "run as administrator".
    I've done significant testing, and have been able to determine that the local administrator account is able to configure backups before the computer is joined to the domain.  Once the computer is joined to the domain, the local administrator account
    and domain users who are in the local administrators group are no longer able to configure backup and restore.  Domain administrators are able to configure backups.
    This is a new issue, which began occuring sometime in the last 2 months.  3 months ago, users were able to configure backups without issue, and those computers with backups configured are still able to run their backups and do restores; however the
    settings can no longer be changed.
    Clearly something in the domain is doing this, but Group Policy has not been altered, and I can find no setting that would be doing this in any case.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,
    So you mean you have tried different accounts in the local Administrator group and all of them failed?
    If so, please check what group the local Administrator group belongs to? Does it belong to a group with limited privileges, such as the Guests group?

  • Usage tracking problem : not started due to non-existent Usage Tracking tab

    Hello,
    I need some help after following the necessary steps to setup 'Usage Tracking'.
    My table S_NQ_ACCT stays empty.
    The structure in the rpd files looks like
    * OBI Usage Tracking
    Connection Pool
    Usage Tracking Writer Connection Pool
    Catalog
    dbo
    S_NQ_ACCT
    My nqsconfig has the following entries related to usage tracking
    # Usage Tracking Section
    # Collect usage statistics on each logical query submitted to the
    # server.
    [ USAGE_TRACKING ]
    ENABLE = YES;
    DIRECT_INSERT = YES;
    PHYSICAL_TABLE_NAME = "OBI Usage Tracking"."Catalog"."dbo"."S_NQ_ACCT";
    CONNECTION_POOL = "OBI Usage Tracking"."Usage Tracking Writer Connection Pool" ;
    BUFFER_SIZE = 10 MB ;
    BUFFER_TIME_LIMIT_SECONDS = 5 ;
    NUM_INSERT_THREADS = 5 ;
    MAX_INSERTS_PER_TRANSACTION = 1 ;
    When making queries on the Usage Tracking SA, I still receive the following error in the NQServer.log File
    +[59049] Usage Tracking not started due to non-existent Usage Tracking table "<Database>"."<Catalog>"."<Schema>"."<Table>".+
    What am I doing wrong??
    Txs for your quick help on this!
    Kr,
    A.

    Can you post your entire NQSConfig.INI file?
    According to the message guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12103_01/books/AnyMsg/AnyMsg_Messages.html#wp1007961) the error you're getting specifies the table that OBIEE is trying to use, so the fact that yours reports literally "<Database>"."<Catalog>"."<Schema>"."<Table>" makes me think maybe the wrong config is being picked up. Also your comment that using a file instead of DB doesn't work either.

    I goto the Jco Connectors and ensure all Jco Connections are configured: SAPSLDAPI_SID

    ABAP - Transaction - sldcheck .. it returns with success.
    I login to the ABAP stack - smgw - logged in clients and all Jco Connections are available

  • The J2EE Server not starting.

    Hello,
    The J2EE Server not starting. (Not able to communicate with message server)
    The following is the description I got from SAP.
    " Most likely you did configurations on the instance properties, instead
    of the global properties, which is the one where the the configurations
    should be done. That is why now you did set local properties
    which are now false, for example : ume.ldap.access.server_port=[]
    This is the cause why the LDAP connection data cannot be retrieved.
    This is why the UME service cannot be started.
    This is why the J2ee engine is not comming up. "
    Pls help.

    Hi Karan
    1.Go to \usr\sap\SID\JCXX\j2ee\configtool and start the config tool.
    2.No go to instance -
    >server----->services--->com.sap.security.core.ume.services node.
    3.Look for ume.ldap.access.server_port=[]
    4.See if you have changed the value for the above parameter.If yes change the value to default and restart the engine.It will work
    If at all you want to change any configurations you should do it following the below steps:
    1.Go to \usr\sap\SID\JCXX\j2ee\configtool and start the config tool
    2.Go to Global Server Configurations-->Services--
