SOAMANAGER display configuration

Hi,
Has anyone found a way to configure SOAMANAGER display ?
I would like to be able to choose the number of lines displayed in the ALV table style displays.
I find the standard number of lines ridiculously small. Therefore I have to use the page down button a lot and it is very slow and annoying...
Is SAP aware that scroll bars were invented for web display a long time ago ?
Regards,
Olivier

Hi Anton,
Thanks for your answer.
I already had found this "hidden" menu but  could not find the option.
In fact with your help, I just found out that the right click has to be done on the selection field of a line and not inside a middle column.
I really really don't understand the SAP ergonomy way !
Thanks again !
Olivier

  • Error starting the SOAMANAGER for Configuration

    Hi fellows,
I've created a web service from a RFC. When I tried to start the SOAMANAGER for configuration to create the an endpoint I've got the error bellow:
"Invalid index 1 when setting lead selection; context node: MAIN.1.NODE_SEARCH_TABLE"
I tried to acess the SOAMANAGER transaction to find the service description created. I found it but when I tried to create the endpoint I got the errors:
"Error: Error when reading variant "ZWS_TESTE" of servicedefinition "ZWS_TESTE": An exception with the type CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL oc "
    And
    "No service/endpoint selected"
Someone knows what am I missing?

    Hi Douglas,
While searching the service defintion in Soamanager i get the error.
"Error: Error when reading variant "ZSAPCONNECTORWEBSERVICE" of servicedefinition "ZSAPCONNECTORWEBSERVICE": An exception with the type CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL oc ".
    How to solve this

    4. In case any of the previous operations work but the settings don't "stick".  There are two plists associated with the settings:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist
    ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver.XXXXX-XXXXXXX.plist
The first is global to all accounts while the second is in your home directory.  The X's are a sequence of hyphaninated  letters and numbers.  If you can get these removed then it will probably revert to a default resolution.

  • Resume hook for changed display configuration

    Hi arch forum,
I need some help configuring my resume process. First the scenario:
I'm working with my notebook (ThinkPad T420s) on the train
and when I get off the train I close the lid and the notebook suspends. When I get to work
I drop the notebook into the docking station, where an external monitor is connected.
If I hit the power button on the docking station the notebook resumes without opening the lid,
but it does not check for changed display configuration. I have to open the lid and type my password to
    get the new configuration started.
Question is: Is it possible to create a resume hook, so that X checks for the changed setup on resume before I opened the lid?
If someone could direct me to the right place in the wiki that would be great.
Now I should specify my configuration:
    Gnome3 and proprietary nvidia drivers
Its a new installation so I have a systemd only setup (which takes care of suspend/resume so far)
If you need to know more, just ask.
Thanks for any help in advance,

  • T530 multiple display configuration lead to errors when closing the laptop

    Hello,
I have a Lenovo T530 2429CTT and I am having some trouble when trying to set up my multiple display configuration with a Lenovo ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3.
I have an external Samsung LCD monitor which is connected to the Mini Dock via DisplayPort.
I am running Win 7 Prof.
The problem I see is with an application which uses DirectX. The display looks fine in the following configuration:
    - Laptop open
    - External Samsung LCD Monitor on
    - Display cloned so that both devices show my desktop
The issues appear when I close the laptop. I do this because in my office I only work with the external monitor so I don't need the internal display of the laptop at that moment.
When I close the laptop the following happens:
The external display gets dark for some seconds. It comes up again, gets dark and after a while (maybe 10 sec) it stays active. Sometimes I see a notification that the color scheme has changed to Win 7 basic.
Everything seems to be fine now but when looking at the DirectX based display of my application I have some problems for example with the refresh (the display looks very weird).
BTW: The laptop has an internal and an external graphic card (Internal: Intel HD 4000, External: NVIDIA NVS 5400M).
So it seems as when the laptop gets closed, the internal graphics will be turned off. Due to this the display on the external monitor also changes the settings of the graphhic card (maybe it gets turned in an energy saver state).
I was looking at many of the NVIDIA settings without any success so hopefully somebody in this forum has an idea what is happening there.
    Thanks,
    Andreas

  • T530 multiple display configuration

I have the T530 with the NVIDIA Optimus option that should allow a triple display configuration (two external displays and the laptop LCD).
I have been able to get a working configuration with the laptop LCD and two external displays over DisplayPort through the docking station.
I have found that upon some boot cycles, I am either stuck with just the laptop LCD as the only display or I am able to turn on only one external display. Sometimes a reboot will change it, sometimes it will not.
What's strange is that the NVIDIA control panel and the Windows display settings show all three LCDs, I am just not able to turn on one or both of the external displays (even if I turn off the laptop LCD).
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
    Thank you!

    Hi, admarsha
There are updates available for both your BIOS and Optimus that may help this issue. The BIOS update can be found here and the Optimus update can be found here. Looking over the ReadMe for the Nvidia update, part of the update does help with issues connected to multiple displays through docking stations so it may help.
    Best,
    Adam

  • Xorg display configuration files.

I tried to change my display configuration using gnome-control-center.
setting to a too small configuration know I cannot undo it and screwed the display on my screen.
I can still do Ctrl+Alt+Fx to delete/edite file.
    I tried to follow this document https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xo … ng_started
    But i didn't change anything.
Does somenone know what file should I delete to return to my normal configuration?
    Best Regards

If the gnome-control-center is a frontend for xrandr, try opening a terminal in gnome and typing "xrandr --output WHATEVER --mode RESOLUTION". The name of the output can be found with an "xrandr -q". An example command would be "xrandr --output DVI-0 --mode 1600x1200". If this is a one time fix and gnome doesn't save it, an xorg.conf with the following section will be able to override it.
    Section "Screen"
    SubSection "Display"
    Modes "1600x1200"
    EndSubSection
    EndSection

  • New iMac (late 2012) and display configuration

    Dear Friends,
I have bought the new imac and I need your help configure the space color I wish to use on it.
I use a Canon 60D to take photos in RAW (CR2) and it is configurated to use Adobe RGB color space (for both RAW and JPEG). When I checked the imac color configuration, it shows me "imac Profile" and other profies, Adobe RBG including. The problem is, when I select show profiles for this display only, it hides both sRGB and Adobe RGB!
Can't I use Adobe RGB the the new imac? If I can, how can I configurate my imac in order to use Adobe RGB. I would like to highlight that, at the moment I selected Adobe RGB, the colors of my wallpaper (the original imac walpaper) gone...
Another question is: can I set my monitor to use Adobe RGB when using Adobe Lightroom only?
    Thanks a lot!

    Thanks a lot!
You have a slight mis-understanding as to just what a color profile is and how it relates to color spaces, I believe. This can be an extremely complex subject, and volumes have been written about it, but in general...
Simply speaking a color profile maps individual color elements (pixel) values between color spaces.  Your Canon 60D generates images in one of two color spaces, Adobe RGB or sRGB (I have a 7D and 5D Mk III).  Using sRGB doesn't have as wide a color space as Adobe RGB, but it is entirely suitable for images to be displayed on the web where most of the display devices are closest to sRGB in their native, i.e. uncalibrated, state.  Most users never calibrate their monitors so sRGB is always the best choise for the widest audience on the web.
I always take pictures in RAW and use Adobe RGB.  When I edit my images in Photoshop or LIghtroom I tell the software that I wish to edit in the color space Prophoto RGB which is a wider color space than Adobe RGB and allows more accurate editing of the colors.  Adobe RGB color values are said to be mapped to the ProPhoto RGB color space by the software.  It is possible to do this conversion very accurately for two reasons.  One, ProPhoto RGB is a wider color space than Adobe RGB, and two, the attributes of both color spaces are precisely defined.
There are three basic actions you can choose from to get your prints to be close to what you see on your monitor.
The first is to use the 'iMac' color profile already on your iMac.  This profile was created to provide proper color space conversion for the average or nominal iMac display and any given display can deviate appreciably from this 'nominal' display.  It is a decent place to start if you're not too picky about color representation.
The second thing you could do is calibrate your monitor yourself.  The most attractive method pricewise is to use the iMac's built in calibration capability.  This will in all likelyhood not be very accurate as it uses the Mark One Eyeball (yours) to make the color comparisons and the eye doesn't do a good job at this because so many variables that you cannot control have an effect on the process.  It can get you close, though, and may be satisfactory for you (it isn't for me, but I'm extremely picky about color).
The third thing you could do is purchase a color calibration system.  These range in cost from around $100 US to several thousand.  Look for offerings from companies such as DataColor (Spyder series) and X-Rite.
Basically a color calibration system uses a hardware device to measure the actual colors as displayed by your monitor vs standard pixel colors. It does this for all pixel color values. From this series of measurements the calibration software will create a profile that will accurately map any color space with a defined profile to be a 'best fit' on your individual monitor (iMac display). This method will get your colors to be much closer than the eye ever could.
Regardless of which method you choose I suggest delve deeper into color profiles and color spaces.  A good place to start is Jeffrey Friedl's Blog.

  • X1 Carbon Gen 3 - maximum external display configuration?

    Hello,
I am considering the X1 Carbon Gen 3 for purchase.  However, I would like to know if it is possible to drive three external displays.
I currently have two running at 1920x1200 and one running at 2560x1440.
Looking at the notes on the OneLink Pro doc seems to indicate this is not possible with the X1 Carbon.
And while we are at it, same question for the T450S with the 90W Ultra Dock.  Looks like it is no problem for that configuration but I just want to check and confirm before I buy another machine.
    Thanks!

Received my X1 Gen3 and a OneLink Pro dock; here's what  I found:
    - The mini-DP connector on the X1 Gen3 can support two external monitors at full 2560x1600 resolution (Dell U3014), along with the built-in display, all active.  And, my U3014 monitors are in portrait orientation and the trackpad orientation is fully correct.  I didn't try using the HDMI at the same time.
    - The OneLink Pro dock will connect to a single U3014 monitor, but the system will not support connecting to a second U3014 over the DP output on the OneLink Pro dock (neither via an external DP hub, nor via the DP hub built into the U3014).  Seems the OneLink Pro dock has an internal DP hub and is using a DP terminal device to provide the DVI output, and this device seems like it can't be disabled even when not using the DVI output.  One significant problem: with a U3014 in portrait orientation connected to the dock, the laptop trackpad orientation was incorrect for the two monitors!
    - With the OneLink Pro dock connected (but no monitors connected to the dock), I can connect a separate mini-DP cable to the X1Gen3 and use the system on two U3014 monitors with the laptop closed.  This gets me close to what I need, though I wish Lenovo had a dual-DP dock (or a dock with a single DP output, no additional outputs) - the current situation requires two cables to the X1Gen3, but at least the DP connection is much better than a USB3 connection.

  • Where does OS X store previous display configuration data?

    Dear forum,
Where does OS X store the configuration data regarding external displays? My settings are screwed up and I think that if I remove my configuration and let it discover my display as though it was the first time, it may work. Right now when I plug in my dongle, OS X sees it and goes into dual-display mode, but my big monitor (the primary one) never wakes up.
I have tested my PowerBook with other displays using the same cables and DVI/VGA dongle, and it all works swimmingly. My display works with my other laptop (which is a Windows box, so perhaps my mac smells another computer and is throwing a jealous fit).
    Thanks for the help.

    Hello Gabe:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
Preferences are stored in "plist" files. Do a "find" on 'plist.' All of the preference files will be displayed (typically several hundred). You can hunt through those to see if you see the one you reference. You can safely trash a preference file. OS X rebuilds them as needed (you do have to reenter your personal preferences).

  • Ivy Bridge GPU and multi-display configuration

Intel says that the new Ivy Bridge processors can cope with 3 different displays instead of 2 possible with the former generation CPUs. I know that with Mini Dock 3 Plus, the X220 can run two external monitors.
Will an X230 (with Ivy Bridge) run 3 of them, like the ThinkPads with Nvidia Optimus technology?
What max. resolution can they have in this scenario? 3x 1920x1200 or less?
How to evaluate it for any screen configuration?
Maybe I should ask Intel about that.

  • How to identify the current display configuration from registry?

I wanted to read the current configuration of display from registry. Suppose, a dual output system is configured with "Extended these displays" settings then i want to know where in registry this information will be stored?
I tried to get the info from
