Socket to Facebook won't POST data

I am trying to read data from my home page on m.facebook.com (since Facebook Mobile is HTTP only). I connect, then send POST data with my username and password, but when I read in the content from the socket, it's the HTTP corresponding to the login page. I have tried a very similar program to this on other websites and have been successful. Am I doing something wrong, or is it possible that Facebook is somehow blocking me?
There is a post_form_id that is sent in with the POST data, but I tried altering it with TamperData and I was still able to log in using Firefox so I don't think this is the problem.
The username and password listed in the code actually work so you can try it yourself. ([email protected], testfacebookjava)

How can I find out what is being sent using the URLConnection?
I tried modifying the eclipse.ini to include something about changing the user agent to something other than Java, I forget what exactly I tried but it didn't work. I will look for the website again and update you with what I tried.
Also, is it possible that since the host is login.facebook.com instead of m.facebook.com (this was found using TamperData with Firefox on m.facebook.com) there is something I need to change?
Update: I added -Dhttp.agent=Mozilla/5.0 to the end of eclipse.ini as per http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1526956/change-user-agent-in-eclipse-3-5-for-new-software-installations
From what I've seen this is not the right way to do it, since "Java" is still included in the agent. I haven't found anywhere that tells how to remove the Java part.

2 weeks ago PC would do nothing at all after I turned off and then tried to restart. Thought I had bad power supply, but it checked out. Cleared cmos by removing battery and turned off oc genie and that seemed to cure problem.
Left PC on ever since. Had to turn off yesterday to check unrelated network issue and when I tried to restart It won't post. Just get 3 beeps. No video. Nothing. Tried to clear cmos, switch memory sticks, only use one mem stick in slot 1 and I get nothing but 3 beeps. Very unlikely that both sticks are bad. Tried powering on from internal switch and got nothing but 3 beeps. Beeps are less than 1 second in duration so I guess they are short beeps.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

At the moment there is know certainty about the definate cause for your problem. What makes you so sure that the board is the cause (and not your CPU (which hosts the memory controller, after all), faulty RAM sticks (have you tested every single stick of RAM you have in the first slot (check user manual) and cleared CMOS (with A/C power cable unplugged from PSU before each new start-up attempt)?).
A contact problem between CPU Pads and board socket pins could also cause this (please reseat CPU and heatsink). Another possible cause is a short-circuit problem inside the case (test the board outside the case on a non-conducting surface).

The date format you have mentioned 009 2011 won't be supported by SAP system. Please enter it in correct format. If the format is OK an not working means MM posting periods are not open for this month this error will come.In MMPV give company code and specify the period to close and save.Again go to same transaction open the period for this month. I would expect the form data posted to be received. For example, the user chooses the option value and the text input value.
This test is hang just after receiving the header information and no parameters collected.

RSS feeds won't post numbers anymore

When I up graded Safari won't post the number of articles that are new anymore. It won't do on my bookmark bar or bookmark menu. I have tried resetting and nothing seems to work.

RSS is a new feature, whose inner workings are still somewhat mysterious. In short, you may have a corrupted data base file, which is not working as designed.
This thread will give you guidance about removing and resetting the data base file from your User Library>Syndication folder.

2LIS_04_P_ARBPL - figures are grouped according to latest posting date!!

We are trying to fill setup table for App 4 and afterwards when we extract the DS 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL we are getting figures clubbed together based on latest posting date
for ex: a given production order and type, if AFRU table shows below entries:
16.01.2012      1.5
17.01.2012      1.0
19.01.2012      0.2
then in setup table we have only one row (figures are grouped and shown against the latest posting date!!
19.01.2012    2.7

Most of the times data won't fill in the base tables, because the reason is, at the time of data entrry by users, there are certain conditions , so until and un less all that conditions fullfill, then only all feilds will fill in the base tables. I faced the same problem for 2lis_04_p_matnr datasource, I'm not getting Batch, so I enhaced teh datasource. So better add ZZ feild to datasource and enhace the ds based on AFUM table (Based on the process order)

Posting Date in 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL not always filled

Who knows a solution to the following issue:
The posting date (BUDAT) is used for assigning production order data (work center view) extracted with 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL to reporting periods in BW reporting.
When testing the extraction with 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL, the field "BUDAT" is only rarely filled. (AFRU-BUDAT is filled for the concerned orders). Therefore period reporting is not possible.
What could be the reason for the missing BUDAT, i.e. when does the extract structure MC04P_0ARB provide a posting date? What are the conditions which need to be fulfilled in ECC system before extraction?
Any hint for resolving the issue will be appreciated!

Facebook won't load on my Mac

I just got my Mac a few months ago, and I never had a problem loading any page. For the past few days Facebook won't open. I Googled many solutions, none of which worked. I restarted multiple times, updated software, deleted cookies, emptied cache, tried Facebook on Firefox, installed the newest Flash, but it won't load anywhere. Every other page loads except Facebook. Please help.

Facebook requires the latest version of Safari which is 5.0.4. Make certain your software is up to date just in case.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / About Safari. If the version number is not 5.0.4, click your Apple menu (top left in the menu bar) then click Software Update.
If you have 5.0.4 installed, from the menu bar click Safari / Preferences - then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that off, then restart Safari, try Facebook.
And again in Safari / Preferences select the Security tab. Make sure the box next to: Java is selected. Then click: Show Cookies. Delete all Facebook cookies. Restart Safari, try Facebook.

Facebook won't load on any browser

I've seen a lot of people posting since 2009 that they've had this issue but I've yet to see an answer that's worked for me. Facebook won't load on ANY of the browsers so cookies and cache won't help. When I log out of the Mac and log back in I can get into Facebook for a while so it's not a configuration issue. I CAN log into facebook through IE on the parallels section. This started about three months ago for me.

Did you look at any of the "More Like This" on the right side of the screen? I don't know if they hold the answers for you, but some may be worth taking a peek.
The usual answer seems to be 'clear your cache' but, as you've done that, it doesn't seem the answer to your problem. When you say 'all browsers' I assume that you mean Firefox, Chrome and Safari? I run Firefox almost exclusively, only using Safari and Chrome for testing purposes and I've tried all three and can't replicate your problem. I don't think that uninstalling Adobe Flash is the answer (and, as it is ubiquitous, it's really a necessary evil).
Try an app such as Onyx to make sure that everything is actually cleared. If that doesn't help, ring back.
BTW - is this occurring only when you try to log in to Facebook?

Because I know enough to be dangerous... I was trying to extend the two outside columns down.... Instead of just using faux columns which I have fixed since I posted the question.
The other link problem is the left sidebar links. When you go to the event photos page I have a repeat of the sidebar links that are on the newsletter page. I used named anchors on the newsletter page to link to the particular article. From the Event Photos page the links look like this:

The problem I am having is that some of these go to the newsletter page and the anchor and some do not (I get an error message saying it can't find the page). To add to the problem is that when we choose say the President's Message, when it goes to the newsletter page and the correct anchor, the newsletter page is missing all the links to the graphics... the photos are missing the graphic for the faux columns is missing. It makes no sense. When I preview the newsletter page from Dreamweaver everything shows up fine.
I do not know if all of this is being caused because I haven't posted this stuff to the site or what. I've tried re-booting both the browser and Dreamweaver, dumping the cache and still the same nonsense.
Got any ideas?

and in machine2 (using tomcat 4.1), I simply put a line in prueba.jsp:
System.out.println(request.getParameter("param1"));
and I don't get "value1" in the tomcat log as expected (I think).
I also tried with adding this properties:
c.setRequestProperty("Content-Length", size...);
c.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
and it didn't work!

Post data 2kb to server failed

hi:
My app send image to server and it works well with nokia phones , but not with sony ericsson phones.
The se phones post data in chunked encoding when data size more then 2kb, there seems no chance to make changes to client behavior.
My server is tomcat 4.1 , it claims to support http1.1 and chunked encoding.
then why?
There many post about this topic, but no good or reasonable solution to this.
What can i do about this? Any advice?

I have run into the same problem on other handsets as well (Nokia, etc.)
We found two solutions:
1) The version of apache we were using (1.3?) would not accept chunked POSTs. We upgraded to the latest version (2.2.3?) and magically our chunked POSTS were accepted by the server. I believe this support was added in v2.2 of apache.
2) You can also roll your own custom imlementation of HTTP POST that operates over sockets. I had to do this once on a BREW handset that refused to send more than 1.5k (total) of POST data.

as of July 2014 Facebook won't upload photos when trying on my MacBook, yet my iPhone and the PC at work will, what's up with my Mac or Safari? I have updated my Flash and that seems fine. Facebook is not allowing me to upload photos of videos to my profile or friends profiles. Also when I post a link to an article the photo preview with the article no longer shows up either. What the heck??? I am super frustrated. Thanks for any help
What I have:
MacBook
OS X, Version 10.9.3
Safari
Version 7.0.4

I can upload photos to Facebook on Safari 7.0.5 and Mavericks v10.9.4 so update your OS X.
Go to Apple  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click Software Update, OR, open the App Store then select Updates from the menu top of that window. Then follow the instructions for updating OS X.
When you're done, launch Safari then uploading photos on Facebook.
If you still have problems, troubleshoot Safari extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
