Solaris 10 not accepting Tarantella installation

When running as sh ttaspso.shx

p_noetcshadow=Secure Global Desktop requires that your system is

/etc/shadow. This system currently doesn't use shadow passwords.
IMPORTANT: This means that users will be unable to log in to Secure
Global Desktop.

p_libsendfile=Setup has detected that the file /usr/lib/libsendfile.so is
missing or not installed with the SUNWcsl (Core Solaris Libraries) package.
To use Secure Global Desktop you must install the SUNWcsl package containing

Hi Wayne
If you want to install using just the system pkgadd, rather than the install
script, extract the datastreams from the shell executable using
--extract <pkg>. Afterwards you may need to run setup and install
the default objects.
e.g.
./ttaspso.shx --extract tta
./ttaspso.shx --extract ttawcp
./ttaspso.shx --extract ttapip
pkgadd -d /tmp/tta
pkgadd -d /tmp/ttawcp
pkgadd -d /tmp/ttapip
/opt/tarantella/bin/tarantella setup

and reinstall the default objects and printers.
In Solaris 10 the package information is kept in a database so you
definitely need to use the system pkgadd that comes with Solaris 10.
This is what the install script should do, by default, on this OS.
I don't know why you have the system diagnosis problem. I have never
seen that problem installing on Solaris 10 so it is likely you have
some sort of configuration issue. The pkgadd method outlined above
should get things installed though. You don't need a shadow password
file anyway, I suspect all that might happen would be issues to do with
detecting password expiry. And so long as libsendfile.so is available to
the dynamic linker that should be all that matters.
