[SOLVED] BCM4313: broadcom-wl problem, I can not set any ESSID
Hi guys I'm experiencing a weird problem with my laptop wireless card, a Broadcom 4313. I have installed the broadcom-wl driver as suggested in the Wiki and everything went smoothly during the installation, I can properly load the module with modprobe
[marco@zonzock ~]$ lsmod | grep wl
wl 1944193 0
lib80211 3966 2 wl,lib80211_crypt_tkip
And checking the system log for any possible kernel error (with dmesg) I get:

So everything seems fine, in fact if I try a sudo iwconfig I get:

Bit Rate:8 Mb/s Tx-Power:24 dBm

And now the weird thing, I can't choose any ESSID!!Look at this:

So I can't do anything...I'm stuck there, and I couldn't solve my problem even googleing around.
Just to do some further test I have tried to change the power management mode (if you look before is set to off and as you can see below I can change the mode without problems so in some way the driver is partially working

What can I do to solve this problem?On windows 7 I can connect without problems, the laptop is new and I'm a but frustrated now..I'm not using my NVIDIA hybrid graphic card since linux support isn't provided, I wouldn't like having other problems with the wireless too...

You need to be root to see your essid, if you are not root the driver does not show you all the informations...this is a problem i.e. for programs like conky.
(i've mapped eth1 to wlan0)
What is you actual problem? Are you using any kind of networkmanager?
I've solved this problem one hour ago...using other boards I could set any essid I wanted even if I didn't set any keys, with this driver in order to set the essid I need to set the key before...just for the record network manager works far better than wicd when using this driver

My Safari is no longer working with many sites. However Chrome and Firefox work fine. I would like to re-install Safari in an effort to clear up the problem I can not resolve.

Hello, I have transferred my Acrobat XI Pro from old MAC to the new one. After the transfer can not open any PDF file. Any idea how to solve this?

Could you please specify how exactly did you transfer Acrobat from one MAC to other.
You might need to deactivate the software from your old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number (for Acrobat license) or Adobe credentials (for Acrobat subscription).
If you have done the same way, then let me know if you are able to open Acrobat itself.
Do you get any specific error message while opening a PDF?

2. It is network branded - phones acquired from network providers or these providers' stores SIM free are branded, and will not get updates until the networks approve and modify the updates to their liking.
3. Special editions - These special editions are chartered editions and may never get updates unless taken to a Nokia Care center.

When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network? -

You do NOT need to restore your iPad.
I believe that the problem is that there is a disconnect with your iTunes account and your iPad. What you are experiencing is a somewhat common issue after you sync your iPad, update your device - it could be a number of reasons that are causing it. the recommended fix is to download another app in order to "reconnect" your ID and iTunes account to the iPad.
You can read more about it here. You will need a WiFi internet connection in order to fix it - or you have to be able to sync with your own iTunes library.

File /usr/lib/libwbclient.so.0 was not present in system, so i reinstalled package smbclient - without any effect, then reinstalled libwbclient package and requested file appears. There is no error about upgrading libwbclient in pacman.log (from yesterday system update).. How is this possible?

Problems with ios7; I can not download any new App
In general, I feel the new ios7 makes my ipod 5 slow, it has had a couple of problems, most of them minor or have a simple solution, or can be ignored while they fix it... what I can not ignore is that I can not download ANY new App...
I have been able to update a couple of them, though they have been very slow, now when I try to download something new, it seems like it'll work, but it never asks for my password as it used to and it never appears in the screen as downloading or anything. It is like if they'd just get stuck and waiting for it to react...
