How silly of me.....first of all...I entered 'mysqld start', I should have just entered 'mysqld', second of all, I didn't change the file permission on /var/run/mysqld. I change /var/run/mysqld file permission into 'chmod 777 /var/run/mysqld -R', after that mysql works!

  • After long time i open my ipad ,but showing ipad desactivate what i want to do know, how i can open, after long time i open my ipad ,but showing ipad desactivate what i want to do know, how i can open

after long time i open my iapd, but i canot open, ipad is desactivate, now i can open

I am trying to help you but I want to be sure I understand what is going on. I think that you can't "open" the iPad because you have to enter the PIN for your sim card according to this taken from the web site that I referred you to. If you cannot remember your PIN you will have to contact your carrier for a replacement SIM card.
    COPIED FROM THE WEB SITE....
    Summary
You can lock your SIM card so that it can’t be used without a Personal Identification Number (PIN). You must enter the PIN each time you turn iPhone or iPad Wi-Fi + 3G off and turn it back on again.
    Products Affected
iPhone, iPad, iPhone Activation in iTunes
Note: This information applies only to devices that use a SIM card.
You can enable, disable, or change your SIM PIN in the following locations:
iPhone: Settings > Phone > SIM PIN
    iPad Wi-Fi + 3G: Settings > Cellular Data > SIM PIN
Note: Some carriers provide SIM cards with a default SIM PIN already enabled. Contact your carrier to find out what your default SIM PIN code is.
    Personal Unlocking Key (PUK)
If you enter the PIN incorrectly three times, you may need to enter a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) to enable your SIM card again. Refer to the SIM card documentation or contact your carrier.
Note: Entering an incorrect PUK code too many times will result in the SIM becoming permanently locked. If this occurs, you will need to contact your carrier for a replacement SIM card.

  • [Solved] php 5.2.0-1+lighttpd+mysql: Can't load mysql module

I'm using php 5.2.0-1, lighttpd 1.4.12-1, mysql 5.0.26-1, libmysqlclient 5.0.26-1 and php-cgi 5.1.6-1 on server and phpMyAdmin says that php can't load mysql module, other websites doesn't have any connection to mysql database too. I've checked php.ini - mysql.so and mysqli.so is uncommented. Only one thing helps - reverting to php 5.1.6-2.

cactus wrote:just run abs.. copy the php-cgi directory to your home..
modify the version, and built it yourself.

  • With the latest FF update I can't load the New York Times

I updated FF and Flash Player today and now I can't load the New York Times - all I get is a page with links. Other sites are loading OK. I've tried changing the security.mixed_content.block_active_content to false and that didn't help.
I've got FF 36:0 and I use Windows. Does anybody know whether this is a FF problem and if there's a solution?

  • I can't load modules after upgrade

I can't load modules after upgrade xfree 4.4.0-2, gcc 3.4.0-1, perl 5.8.4-1 and kernel 2.6.5-3.I don't have even access to the internet from Arch.System says that modules have invalid version.

  • MX850 won't print after long time idle

After a long time out of action my MX850 won't print at all - I have tried deep cleaning, aligning head and cleaning rollers but still not working...I have a feeling it is the print head and I am expecting to replace all the cartridges but just don't want to have to do it if it may be something else instead as they are pretty expensive...please help.

Hello LARMC, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are experiencing idle issues.  I would like to help.
I would recommend performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • [SOLVED]Can't boot Arch after installation-grub use wrong uuid in bios

Hello I would like to ask for Your help and say hello. I'm new here.
I have one big problem with Arch. Can't boot it after base installation. The same problem with Arch, that was mentioned in this topic:
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 7#p1294597
I have the same problem and the same error:
    No such Device: ad4103fa-d940-47ca-8506-301d8071d467.
Loading Linux core repo kernel ...
    error: no such partition.
    Loading initial ramdisk ...
error: you need to load the kernel first.
    Press any key to continue..._
I'm new here, and with Arch, could you explain me how to fix it? I tried the solution given in the link above, several times but with each time i have errors and warnings from the post 1 in mentioned topic. I installed my Arch from usb thumb drive. Maybe this is something to do with it? Also, my hard drive that Arch is installed on is being connected to a "raid card" named Adaptec, but during installation my disk is being found so i think that drivers is present and works ok, so it is not related to this, also there is no raid present, i use it only as a mean to connect to motherboard because there is not enough sata port, and because:
    https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/35626
he wrote that this error is also on virtualbox, so it is not my fault and Adaptec related issue.
    I haven't tried this yet:
    Sotanaht,
I had the exact same problem as you, but I was able to fix it by replacing the bad grub.cfg file with the grub.conf file found in the same directory. If you try this do not forget to back up your original file (just in-case smile)
because i don't know much about it, don't want to destroy data on my hard disks or to destroy my other distros (i use Ubuntu with derrativates such as Mint, Kubntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and Slackware 13.37 and 14.00).
If you could explain it in details i would be really happy.
I could post something about my setup, please write what. My computer is:
    -AMD X4 PII 955 runinng at 3.2GHz
-4GB DDR2 runinng at base clock (800 if i remember correctly)
-about 7 hard drive disk connected to a sata ports, one adaptec drive that i mentioned above and one dvd-rom
    -nvidia GTX260
    -850W PSU Chieftec

Yes, of course. I did it several times with
    grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
and the result is always the same - Error posted above.

It is wrong, the root partition is different than in this, we can see that this grub leads to wrong root partition, i posted my root partition at the bottom from /etc/fstab. I don't know how to fix it - i'm not familiar with the dos names (hd 0,5 and so on).
    Here is my /etc/fstab:
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information

  • ODI Planning metadata load takes very long time

    Hi,
I am using ODI for Hyperion Planning metadata load.
We are facing performance issues, as the process is taking a very long time.
The process uses "LKM File to SQL" and "IKM SQL to Hyperion Planning"
The number of rows to process in the file is around 70000. The file is generated from DRM. The ODI integration process takes around 2 hours to process and load the file to Planning. Even if we add 1 new row to the file and everything else remains same in the file, the process takes that long.
So, the whole process takes around 3 hours to load to Planning for all dimensions.
I tried increasing the fetch rows to 200 in source but there is no significant increase in performance. The Heap size is set to maximum of 285 MB in odiparams.bat.
How can the performance be improved?
Can I use different LKM or change any other setting?
    Thanks,
    RS

    Hi John,
In my current implementation, the dimension hierarchies are maintained in DRM.
So, business directly makes changes in DRM and exports the hierarchies in a text file.
I agree that loading 70000 records is odd on regular basis, but it makes it easier for business to retain control of their hierarchies and maintainance is easy in DRM.
On bulk loading to DB table and loading to Planning, I have 2 questions:
    1. Do you think that "LKM SQL to SQL" [Oracle to Planning] will have significant improvement in performance over "LKM File to SQL" [File to Planning], as we are still using "Sunopsis Memory engine" as staging area?
    2. I checked your blog, there you have suggested using "Sunopsis memory engine" for "LKM SQL to SQL".
Is it mandatory to use "Sunopsis emory engine" as staging area, can we use any other user defined staging area [Oracle tables]?
    Cheers,
    RS

  • Swing app turn to gray after long-time no focus

This has been a headache for me for long time ---
If a Swing application has been idle (minimized or hidden by another application on the screen) for like 20 minutes, then when I maximize or bring the application to the front, the application is unpainted (all in light gray) for a while, then become all clear and re-usable. The less the minimized time, the less the recovering time. It even happens with the well-written JBuilder.
This is really a bad sign for Java application to compete with other Windows native applications. Swing applications I talk about here contains complicated graphical components, like JTable, JEditorPane, JList, custom renderers etc, but not images.
Is there a way to bring application back to work right away?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hallo Thomas,
we have a similar problem. Reducing the degree of parallel processes helped.
It seems as if the system cannot cope with the amount of 3 parallel processes at some times.
I currently have no better solution. Maybe configuration of maximum number of processes in the system can help.
Currently I have the same problem, but it did to work that way.
DTP hangs in a yellow state during load into DSO with yellow message like "Message missing: End transformation".
I reactivated the DSO, transformation etc. but still no success.

    Thomas

  • Computer loads for a long time due to debugger called in Console

I've been having this problem a lot lately. I'll be running Safari a long with some Adobe programs and the computer will practically freeze while the color wheel pops up and loads for a long period of time. I took it to the Mac store. The genius did a stress test on it (opened every graph in grapher) and let it sit there for a while.
I was looking around my LOG in my console and this is what's been coming when this "freeze" happens.
    9/23/09 11:04:04 AM com.apple.WebKit.PluginAgent[236] Debugger() was called!
Could someone help me out and let me know what a solution would be for this? IE: More RAM, Update, software, etc.)
    Thanks,
    Sean

It is one of the over 250 new features of the World's Most Advanced Operating System called Resume.
When choosing Restart, Sleep or Shutdown there is a checkbox you can uncheck to prevent the apps from launching.
Also in System Preferences > General there is a hard-to-find checkbox under "Number of recent items" you can turn off.
If you want to turn it off on a per app basis, (TextEdit is by example, replace TextEdit with the name of the app)
Launch Terminal and copy/paste this at the prompt...
defaults write com.apple.TextEdit NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
    Press return.
    To turn off Resume globally...
    chflags uchg ~/Library/"Saved Application State"
    Press return
The reverse of the first one is to replace false with true.
The reverse of the second one is
    chflags nouchg ~/Library/"Saved Application State"
