Check /var/abs/extra/eclipse/eclipse.install. Typo in post_remove: post-install should be post_install. You can run the post_install manually (and maybe report this in the bug tracker), but it just updates the gtk icon cache, so it's nothing to worry about.

Hi everyone!
This is my boot.log
http://pastebin.com/1gfynhSN
It says"/usr/lib/initscripts/arch-tmpfiles:line 106: install:command not found".This is leading to problems such as dbus and network manager not being started(even manually),no shutdown option, not able to 'open' log files without sudo etc.
I think a possible reason for this is that I had messed up with symlinks.I had issued the command
sudo ln -s /bin/install /usr/bin/install
.Then I had used
cd /bin/
unlink install
Now,I find that /bin/install and /usr/bin/install does not exist.(I have deleted them!) .How can I fix this up?Any help would be appreciated.
Last edited by adwaita45 (2012-04-05 20:41:40)Reinstall coreutils (or manually extract install from the package and put it in /usr/bin).

I'm working on a PKGBUILD, but I'm running into this:

What would cause this? Old code? Missing package? It was actually really old code, after a bit of successful this-should-probably-work script editing! I created a package in the AUR called dasm, which is an assembler for the Atari 2600 among many other systems.

Adobe AIR Error - Uninstalling and Re-installing does not work?
I keep getting this error everytime I turn n my laptop. I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe AIR several times and still keep getting this error after it tells me it has been installed successfully. "This installation of this application is damage. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance." What is wrong with this program? I cannot keep uninstalling and re-installing this program and it is not installing properly.
Pat has a great point and asks a good question. In addition to identifying the AIR application that is causing you problems you may also want to review Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/troubleshoot-air-installation-windows.html.

Command not found(127) error for all commands
I'm basically having the same problem as the poster in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1376825
Every time I try to run a program like Onyx, it gives me various errors basically indicating that it can't access any of the built-in unix commands like date or ls.
For example, one error I got was
"AppleScript Error
sh: line 1: date: command not found(127)"
Obviously, its not able to access any of the commands in the /usr/bin folder. However, when I execute date directly from the terminal, it works. My path is echoed as "/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/mysql/bin:/usr/local/ActivePerl-5.10 /bin:/usr/local/ActivePerl-5.10/site/bin:/usr/local/soylatte16-1.0.3/bin:/usr/lo cal/php5/bin//Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/bin:/bin:/sbin:/u sr/bin:/usr/sbin"
The second last entry is /usr/bin.
I even made the folder executable, but it didn't help. There's something seriously wrong with my Mac. A couple of days ago, I filled up the Startup Disk by mistake by torrenting too much. Could that be the source of the problem? Now, spotlight doesn't seem to have an index for the drive, programs are giving errors, and Onyx says the Volume Structure of the drive needs to be repaired.
I have been experimenting with developing, and did mess around with my path setting earlier, but have never faced this problem.Yes, in an ideal situation, a lot of my hard drive should have been free, but over the years, files build up. And I cannot actually foresee me wasting 15% of my hard disk by keeping it empty. The point of buying more space is that I should be able to use it.
Anyhow, I think 9.5 gb should be fine for basic functioning of the OS right? I don't see why 'date' should require 9.5 gb of free space to carry out its admittedly immense task of returning the current date! And the worst part is, its running correctly from the terminal, so I can't for the life of me figure out why applications can't access it correctly. -

Problem with kfmclient (command not found)
Today, I tried to run the CUPS web configuration tool, but it failed to run (ie. open the page in Firefox). I executed the command in the terminal to check for errors, and it said "kfmclient: command not found".
When I checked pacman for kfmclient, no such package exists. How do I install kfmclient?Just an additional information,
for 'command not found' problems, pkgtools in community should be helpful. It also have a bash hook to find the package automatically on that error.
Thanks, regards, -

I bought an iphone 4s. After plugging it via usb to my computer itunes demanded to update version to 10.3 or higher. I uninstalled itunes, downloaded latest version (11.0.2) and during installation process on "activating services" it shows error message: "installation failed, verify administrator priviliges" which i have because i sign in as my pc administrator. I click on ignore and it tells me itunes has been succesfully instaled but when i try to run it it shows the error message: "apple application support was not found. It is required to run itunes. Uninstall and install itunes again. (which i have done several times) error 2 (windows error 2)." Someone please help me with this problem. Thanks.
Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
I have a new iTouch. I'm having trouble downloading iTunes. I keep getting the error message: "Apple Application Software was not found. Apple application support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2." I have uninstalled and tried installing again and get the same error message. What do i need to do?
LgInstall 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

For the past several days I've been getting the following error frequently on the command line:
bash: $'\302\240grep': command not found
I think I'm only getting this error in response to commands that are piped to grep, such as the following:
$ ps -ef | grep xyz
or
$ locate | grep abc
However, I don't think I've gotten the error if I type the same commands as above, but without the space between '|' and 'grep'. And, although the error is frequent, it doesn't happen every time; it is seemingly random.
Anybody else experiencing this? Any idea what might be causing it?
I'm using rxvt-unicode as my terminal.
