[SOLVED] Loading user-defined modules [FAIL]

Since the linux upgrade that rolled out on Nov 9, I have encountered an error during boot that says loading user-defined modules [FAIL]. I read a post mentioning the problem being related to the /boot dir being on a separate partition (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=129970). Mine is not on a separate partition, so no booting to a live disk will fix that problem for me. Another post mentions the problem causing loss of USB support (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=130030) which is, as of yet, unresolved. I For all the people upgrading to linux3.1.1 with no problems, do you know what my problem would be?
I have tried upgrading 3 times but each time it kills my wireless support completely. All else seems to be working fine.
Does anyone know what is causing this? or how to fix it or work around it? I updated my mirrorlist and ran pacman -Syyu but this problem is still there 2 weeks later. I've been running pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-3.0.7* and rebooting after every system update.

Thanks. I didn't realize I had to get a new driver every time. I've gone through several kernel upgrades so far and haven't had any problems. That fixed it, though.

[SOLVED]Get [FAIL] when loading user specified modules.

That is it, when the system is booting i get a [FAIL] message when loading user specified modules after upgrading udev, and the kmod new module handling or something as say in the news. I dont have a modprobe.conf or a modprobe.conf.pacsave file either and creating a modprobe.conf file doesn't solve the problem. The strange thing is that the modules are loaded anyways. I mean the ones that are specified in rc.conf. I dont know if the system [FAIL] to load that modules or others...The system works fine for now too.

I had the same problem and removing the governor performance from rc.conf solved the problem. I tried however to remove both governors and only leave powernow-k8 (this is the only one that works for me) leaving rc.conf like this:
MODULES=(brcmsmac powernow-k8)
When I boot the laptop and check which governors are available and being used I get the following:

This like as if the ondemand governor would not be available but when unplugging the laptop and check again I get this:

This shows that the ondemand module can be autoloaded when needed, so I leave rc.conf only with powernow-k8.

This is probably some jsf library issue.
Which technology are you using? (ADF is not supported on WLS 12c)
If you have jsf-api.jar or jsf-impl.jar in your deployment, try to remove them.

How to make an applet load user-defined package?

How to have an applet load user-defined package?
I have packages in their own directories, and the applet compiles and links with them, by use of CLASSPATH env variable. But when it comes time to run, it ignores that and does not know where the classes (in the packages) are.
If I don't use packages and put all code in one directory, runs fine. If I use an application, I can link with and load my packages.
I know applets can't use things like CLASSPATH for security reasons, but still, they should be able to be compiled out of several packages, why do I have to put all code together??

OK, for reference for future newbies, here's the answer:
use CODEBASE attribute in your html file (if on Windows server, don't use drive letter but relative path to .html file, Unix style, and put all your .class files beneath that, for example, in your .html file
<applet
CODEBASE="..\class
and then have package bar Bar.class file, in ..\class\bar

The sequence of system modules & user-defined modules

Hi Experts,
can u help me clear about the execution sequence about system modules , user-defined modules & the adapter of XI/PI ??
I presume the sequence is first adapter ,second own modules, finally system modules at the sender end.
and the sequence at the receiver end is first own modules , second system modules ,third adapter.
im right?
by the way, how about the sequence when the scenario is be setted to synchronization, specially the sequence of the
response.

1. for async sender/receiver adapters, you use modules before the standard adapter module.
2. for sync sender/receiver adapters, you can wither use modules before the standard adapter module (they will affect the request message) or after the adapter module (affecting the response message).

Could not load user defined filter. - Weblogic 8.1 sp2

I got an error in the server output when starting a server with filter. The jar file is located in the WEB-INF/lib but it seems that it could not be loaded. The same application runs fine in Weblogic 7 sp2. Any idea?

We have a sender folder in which we have xyz.xml(Source file) and xyz.PDF (Attachment) .
while configuring the file adapter we are archiving both these files to a folder
With the help of user modules we need a abc.xml file to be picked from some other folder and placed to our sender folder
For this functionality to be added to our file adapter we have to write a code

Error in Loading User Defined Java Bean

Loading user defined variants for selection screens

hi everybody,
i want to add a feature to my report which automatically loads a variant for a report.just like iw38, where the variant for the main selection-screen is automatically set when you name it like "U_<username>". sadly i couldnt find anything helpful by debugging the report.
is there a certain function module to load specific screen-variants?

There is a table
VARID - Variant directory.
it consists of all the variants according to the user name, date & time.
You can do something like this,
data: it_variant type standard table of varid,
      wa_variant type varid.
Initialization.
select * into corresponding fields of table it_variant

and ename = sy-uname.
sort it_variant descending by edat etime.
delete adjacent duplicates from it_variant comparing ename.

Well...I would in that case suggest you to put debug statements in your code. For this you would need to carry out certain steps which are :
1. In NWDS , create a new file in the META-INF folder of Enterprise Project. The name of the file should be log-configuration.xml.Paste the following content in this file

This would send the statement "CustomModule :: process method started" to the Audit Log of XI server and you would be in a position to see upto which step your code is executing sucessfully. Audit log can be viewed at
http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/monitor/monitor.jsp. you need to know the message ID for your transaction in this case.

LDAP search cannot find entry by user "defined attribute" or "sounds like

Hi, I have an JSP program that searches an LDAP Sun One Directory Server.
All of my search filters ( by givenname,sn,mail and phone #) work fine with the search base set at the very top (root ) of my DIT tree.
However with the same search base, searching by an "User Defined Attribute" fails to return anything (and note that my search filter includes the objectclass that goes with this user defined attribute)?
Yet, if I change the search base so it points all the way down the DIT tree (maybe near RDN?), the "User Defined Attribute" search works fine ?
Additionally, "sounds like" search filter (givenname~=) fails to find anything at
the upper root search base of DIT. If I change the search base to point down in the DIT tree as I did above, the "sounds like" filter will work?
I've tried everything I know?

[solved] kernel 3.2.8 fails with loading nvidia and virtualbox modules

Topic says it. I just updated from kernel 3.2.7 to 3.2.8 and X won't start. The kernel fails to load the nvidia module with the follwing error: 'Exec format error'. Same for the virtualbox kernel modules. This is on x86_64, multilib and all testing repos enabled.
Downgrade to 3.2.7 by
pacman -S core/linux
solves the issue.

Everything on my box appears to be working ok, but I'm getting this error consistently in tty1 and at the top of journalctl (as user) whenever I start systemd --user:

Here are my relevant dbus{.service,socket} files, from the package user-session-units mentioned in the wiki: (Edit: xorg is started through xorg-launch-helper, also from that wiki page) Edit2: I'm not using autologin. I noticed that under the autologin section of that page, DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS is set to some path. In my setup that isn't set anywhere, so I may try to copy that later but I don't have time to play with it right now. Will post back later.
