[SOLVED] tomcat + deploy openlaszlo = java error
Hi all,
I installed tomcat using shaman, everything went well.
But when putting OpenLaszlo.war in the Tomcat Manager and going to deploy it.
I always get this error.
Here's the screenshot

hello all,
The other way around to bypass this problem is by pasting the *.war file to the webapps directory of tomcat.
In that way tomcat can extract it.
problem solved!

2) Did you install Java from an Arch Repo or install it "manually" by downloading it from Oracle, etc.?
3) What package owns those files? (pacman -Qo /usr/bin/java, for example)

Error in deploying the java studio creator application to tomcat
Hi,
I'm trying to deploy my Sun Java Studio application to Apache Tomcat 5.0.28.
A simple JSF web application built using the creator works fine after deploying the war file under tomcat/weapps directory.
In case of a application with databse connection I'm getting the
" com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.ApplicationException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: org.apache.commons.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create JDBC driver of class '' for connect URL 'null' "
above error. My application connects to Oracle database using the Oracle Server type provided by the Studio Creator.
I have copied
jstl.jar
standard.jar
to webapps\%app%\WEB-INF\lib
The below url is currently not available ( Page not Found )stated as a solution in most of the querries regarding the deplyment to tomcat.
http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/tips/deploy_to_tomcat.html
Thanks for any help
abhiI had similar problems.
I used mysql with tomcat and have mysql in my Creator environment as well but still had the driver message you experienced.
I found that simply copying the WAR file into the webapp directory in tomcat caused a faulty deployment (it was creating /etc/tomcat5/localhost/YourProject.xml as a directory, not as a file)
I updated my Projects/MyProject/build.xml to include a deploy target and I manually execute the ant deploy step (having not figured out how to tweak the internal ant within Creator)
Note that this requires two jar files (see comments in the ant definition)

Error deploying application - java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException
Hi! I use WebLogic Server 6.1 SP2 on SuSE Linux platform.
I tried to install a new EJB application. The server has showed "Receiving file...uploadhas
completed, now installing... done" on screen.
But I found that there has an "error deploying application - java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException"
on the server log. (Pls see details on the attached file)
How to solve it?
[Exception.txt]Karpoor,
Can you post the stacktrace please?

Error while deploying a Java Stored Procedure using JDeveloper
Hi,
I was going thru the Oracle By Example article: "Developing SQL and PL/SQL with JDeveloper". (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe9051jdev/ide1012/plsqlobe/obeplsql.htm)
One of the items in this article is - "Creating and Deploying a Java Stored Procedure"
I was able to create a java class, compile it. Created a deployment profile. created a pl/sql wrapper. While trying to deploy the java stored procedure, I am getting the following error:

Getting Java error when build and deploy through eclipse designer.
hello,
My while activity looks like this -
<while condition="bpws:getVariableData("integer")<=count(bpws:getVariableData('GetRCItem-GetItemResponse', 'parameters', '/schemattwebservices:GetItemResponse/schemattwebservices:return/schemattwebservices:extendedFieldList[schemattwebservices:name="LIST_OF_TASKS"]')/schemattwebservices:values)" name="ProcessRCTasks">
It passes the validation but fails when I click on build and deploy.
D:\dev\admin.console.trunk\workspace\ServiceFlow\temp\bpelc42058.tmp\BPEL-INF\src\bpel\p0\BPEL_BIN.java:2129: ';' expected.
[bpelc] return "bpws:getVariableData("integer")<=count(bpws:getVariableData('GetRCItem-GetItemResponse', 'parameters', '/schemattwebservices:GetItemResponse/schemattwebservices:return/schemattwebservices:extendedFieldList[schemattwebservices:name="LIST_OF_TASKS"]')/schemattwebservices:values)" ;
Please let me know what is wrong here and why is it giving me that java error? It should be better in reporting error and give it in BPEL terms.
- MeghanaI switched my compiler to use Oracle's bundled jre but I still get following 2 errors -
[bpelc] D:\dev\admin.console.trunk\workspace\ServiceFlow\temp\bpelc33065.tmp\BPEL-INF\src\bpel\p0\BPEL_BIN.java:2129: ';' expected.

[bpelc] ^
[bpelc] D:\dev\admin.console.trunk\workspace\ServiceFlow\temp\bpelc33065.tmp\BPEL-INF\src\bpel\p0\BPEL_BIN.java:2982: ';' expected.
[bpelc] return "bpws:getVariableData("index2")<=count(bpws:getVariableData('GetRCTaskItem-GetItemResponse', 'parameters', '/schemattwebservices:GetItemResponse/schemattwebservices:return/schemattwebservices:extendedFieldList[schemattwebservices:name="ZMF_PACKAGES"]')/schemattwebservices:values)" ;
[bpelc] ^
[bpelc] 2 errors
Any idea? I have already pasted my while condition which has this condition on it. Second while is similar to first one.
Thank you.

Tomcat deployment - help!
Hi everybody,
My application works perfectly on the bundled server but when I deploy it to Tomcat I get an error. I added the JSTL libraries as explained in the deployment example but I think the error comes from the code as there is a nullpointerexception! I am new to java please help me with some directions...
The full error message is the following:

note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.5.23 logs.
Thanks a lot.

PS: Is it not possible to install Tomcat in the IDE instead of the bundled server?I too am having a similar problem, when i build / dist to the server directley it works fine but if i put the war file in the webapps directory and explode it the application doesn't work.
I looks like it is not referenceing the JSF libraries properly. Im currently tring to fix this problem i will let you know if i get i done.
You may want to try installing the server you are tring to deploy to on your build machine and seeing if when you build straight on to it (like your bundled server) your probelem still persists, if not then it might be that you have the same problem as me with the exploding war files not being set-up how you want them to be. -
JAAS Login Module development/deployment - getting en error
Guys,
I have developed a JAAS Login Module (as per the SAP documentation) and configured the J2EE Engine (as per the SAP documentation) for this module to sit amongst several other standard modules, but I have a problem. I am unable to get the Module working on one portal instance and I am getting an error in the default.trc file when the server restarts after SDM deployment.
The error is: "cannot load login module class....... java.lang.ClassNotFoundException........"
The whole thing works on another instance of EP6 SP16,17 and 18..... however it does not work on this one completely separate instance (there probably are configuration difference between these instances!)
Im not quite sure, given this set of circumstances, what could be causing the Login Module not to load. Which part of the configuration of the J2EE engine should I look in, something perhaps overlooked in the documentation?
Thanks
AdrianWith some help I have now solved this.
In the properties tab of Security Provider, the reference to your login module in the classloader needs to be prefixed with library:~<provider>. For the default SAP example the provider in com.sap...... or whatever you have changed it to. -
I have used Firefox as my default browser for many years. I've recently started getting a Java error message. It pops up continually. I have updated flash and java. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox and nothing has helped. I have had to start using Chrome instead of Firefox which I don't care for but I don't have the java error with Chrome. How do I fix this problem? The error reads as follows:
Java Script Application
Error: syntax errorYour '''JavaScript''' error has nothing to do with the Java plugin . It is likely caused by an added extension (the earlier forum threads [/questions/944619] and [/questions/943088] mention disabling or updating the Social Fixer extension will resolve the problem).
You can read this article for help troubleshooting your extensions: [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] -
