Some tcp packets are dropped using socketfilter
I user socketfilter to intercept tcp packet,but I find that not all of the tcp packet can be intercepted.For examle,I open chrome browser and
browse video website,as a result I miss some packets for HTTP commucication. Thanks very much. My English is not good,I am sorry.

Oh dear. That confirms my fear that somehow you have got output files into your source files, maybe you published to that folder.
Within a version of RH, you could correct that, albeit with quite a bit of work.

However, what you are trying to do is upgrade an output file and the process is not designed for that. You have to decide on the least work. Uninstall RH8 and install RH7, fix the problem and then upgrade or just get on with redoing those dropdowns in RH8.

Some free tapes are not used by backup job - dpm 2012 r2
Hi,
I have DPM 2012 R2 with IBM TotalStorage 3572 tape library. It is 8 slot tape library. All was working with initial 8 tapes I added to tape library. I had one Protection group to be archived on 8 tapes. I was doing Daily and weekly backups. Every 2nd week
I would do a weekly backup and keep it for 2 weeks i.e. I need 2 tapes for weekly backups. All was working ok until I introduced two new weekly tapes as a replacement for 2 weekly tapes in library. Because of disaster recovery procedure - I have to take
weekly tapes out of library and store them in disaster recovery location for some time. So I pulled out 2 weekly tapes and added 2 new tapes. New tapes were marked free and they are showing as Free tapes.
Now - the trouble is that these 2 free tapes are not used by backup job and instead - backup job writes weekly backup on any of the available Daily tapes (like from 4-5 days ago) instead of using one of the Free tapes that are available.
I'd like the backup job (Protection group) to use Free tapes first and only if there are no available free tapes - to go and do backup on Daily tape or ask for a free tape.
I am probably doing something wrong here - so I would really appriciate if anyone can help me with this? Any ideas?

What update rollup are you running on the DPM 2012 R2 server ? DPM 2012 R2 UR5 introduced a new refresh feature that will re-enumerate data sources on an individual protected server.
Check for VSS errors inside the guests that are having problems being backed up.

Some Crystal Reports are not using the Cache Server
Hi...we are currently running BOE XI R2 SP2. I setup a server group with a Cache Server and a Page Server. In the CMC, I set this cache server to keep reports cached for 15 minutes. On the Process tab of some reports, I specifically set the report to use this new server group. On some of the reports this works as expected. For others, it does not appear to be since the cache folder's Date Modified date does not change. So far the only similarity between the reports that do not use cache is that these reports have sub-reports. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, how did you resolve it?

Double TNS datagrams in one TCP packet
I have the following Problem:
During a database Connection over an IPSec - tunnel between a Fortigate and a Juniper firewall the connection stalls.
This is exactly reproducible with on select or bulk insert statement. Neither OCI or thin changes the behavior. Without the tunnel(f.e. LAN or ISDN connect)
there no problem an no duplicate TNS.
I have logged the TCP traffic with wireshark on both sides and noticed that I have two tns datagrams in one TCP packet.
I use different IPSec tunnels and haven only problems with this one. Do you have a hint whats going on?
BTW: I change sdu and tdu sizes. This changes the point in time of the stall (double tns).

What TCP ports are used by Push notifications
I believe my Firewall is blocking Push Notifications on my iPod touch. So, I wanted to discover what the TCP Ports are that are used by Push so I could open those ports to pass packets (info) to my iPod.

Asp drop - First TCP packet not SYN (tcp-not-syn)
I have many tcp-not-syn:

For sure it is not a routing issue cause ie 10.32.3.230 usually can connect to 192.168.16.2 which is a proxy server. Sometimes it can't and I get the
tcp-not-syn error. So after a capture I got the following,

The question is how can I define it is:
1. the proxy 192.168.16.2 itself is too slow responding to the syn packet sent from the client 10.32.3.78
2. a reset is sent by the proxy 192.168.16.2 and then forwarded by the ASA to the client 10.32.3.78
3. an idle timeout tuning needed on firewall
4. anything else

Since it is a RST packet coming from client IP destined to proxy server IP on ASA's interface (of course with no associated connection in ASA state table), ASA will drop it as first tcp packet not syn.
When a packet arrives on ASA, it checks to see if it belongs to an existing flow, if not, it has to be a new connection but since SYN flag is not set here, it gets dropped under above reason code.
Now, you would probabaly want to capture the entire traffic stream from client to server on ASA interface to understand what caused those resets. May be client sent some new requests (SYN's) and proxy was too busy to respond. Again, complete capture in pcap would be needed for further analysis.

my keyboard on macbook pro (laptop) is acting weird. One key is not responding at all. Have verified using Keyboard viewer and some other keys are printing the unresponsive character at random. "z" is the unresponsive character.
Is it a damaged keyboard ?
The laptop is just 2 months old, will Apple replace it with a new one if its indeed a damaged keyboard or just repair, I use it for official purposes so being without a laptop is not much of an option.No one here works for Apple, so we don't know what Apple might or might not do. If it's a genuine defect, they will of course repair it under warranty. It is not their responsibility if it effects your ability to work or not, so that's on you.
If, however, they determine that the key is problematic as a result of your misuse of the laptop, then everything is on you. And trust me, if they find a glob of dried up beer or coffee there, they will charge you.
Your only choice is to take it in for repair. -
I've downloaded some free apps on my iphone 4 and some of them have ads. I was just wondering, are those ads free as well, or are they using my internet when they pop up like that? i have to mention, i never click them.

That is true - I apologize for not being specific - what I was mainly referring to is iLife applications. I have a notice on the App Store that says 3 apps need updates, I look at the apps and they are huge so since my connection is so slow I use my work connection and d'load the files from support to my Windows machine and carry them home, once d'loaded my MacAir states it cannot install, the update must come from the App Store.
I do the same thing for large Leopard and Lion files and I can install them without error, it is just the App Store files that the system stops. -
Dear Apple. I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit full version Home Premium using Bootcamp and cannot get access to the internet. I installed on a Macbook Air Mid 2012 with Mountain Lion. Are there some drivers that are missing from the Windows 7 bootcamp install download from Apple
It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly. -

I am a novice at Mac so I read all I can. From what I understand the NEC monitors I bought require Display Port for their maximum performance. The GTX 680 only has DVI outputs. Difference from what I understand is larger bandwidth with the DP.
You said I have the 4000 for CUDA. I am not all that familiar with CUDA and when I do read about it I do not understand it.
A concern I have is, that if I connect the 2 high end NEC monitors via the 5770, using it's 2 Display Ports I would have nothing connected to the 4000. Is the 4000 doing anything with nothing connected? I read where in a PC system the 2 cards would interact but in a Mac system they do not.
Bottom line, as I see it, the 4000 will not be useful at all to me, since I want a dual monitor set-up.
So far the 5870 seems the best choice, higher band width than the 5770, and it has 2 Display Ports to optimize the NEC monitors.
I'm not sure how fine I am splitting hairs, nor do I know how important those hairs are. I am just trying to set up a really fast reliable system that will mainly be used for CS6 and LR4. Those NEC monitors are supposed to be top notch. -
just upgraded to ios5 on my ipad2. Some of the apps that use to be on the ipad no longer apperar there. They do appear in i tunes on my desktop computer. How to I transferr them back to my ipad2.
IOS5 upgrade wipes your iPad disk. When you re-sync to your computer, you should get all of the apps that are checked under the Apps page in iTunes.
