Sort rss feeds by date??

Hey guys
Been a while since I have been here but have a problem I can seem to find a solution to.
Below you will see my PHP code for retrieving rss feeds from a link.
But the problem I'm having with this is that the feeds are appearing from the oldest article 1st and the newest article last.
How can a reverse the order?
<?php
$xml_doc = new DOMDocument();
$xml_doc->load ("http://www.istructe.org/home?rss=Latest-News-Features");
foreach ($xml_doc->getElementsByTagName('item') as $node) {
echo "<a href = '" .$node->getElementsByTagName('link')->item(0)->nodeValue ."' target='_new' >";
    echo "<strong>" .$node->getElementsByTagName('title')->item(0)->nodeValue. "</strong>";
    echo "<br/>";
    echo $node->getElementsByTagName('pubDate')->item(0)->nodeValue;
    echo "</a>";
?>
Regards,
Ashveer

Hi Gramps
thanks for the reply, but this is not really what I am looking for.
My PHP code  already brings the feeds I need to my website, but the order of the articles appear oldest 1st and latest article last.
I want to actually display the latest posted articles 1st, reversing the order of how it is displayed.
you can see it at work here http://www.jsd.co.za/

  • All RSS feeds shows as empty

    All my RSS feeds shows as empty and refuse to update, the only RSS feeds that dont show up as empty are the one that are not updated.. once a site of which my RSS feeds has data updates.. my RSS feed gos "empty"
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == in the past monrth (around end of april)

    Did you try to right-click a feed and select "Reload Live Bookmark"?
    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
    You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

  • RSS feed out of date

    I'd appreciated if you help me find a solution for an issue related to RSS. I have RSS HTML Widgets on my following pages, created with iWeb app:
    http://www.spanishonlyspanish.com/English/Home.html
    http://www.spanishonlyspanish.com/Spanish/Inicio.html
    http://www.spanishonlyspanish.com/Spanish/Podcast.html
    The feed source is my own page (also for iTunes):
    http://www.spanishonlyspanish.com/English/Podcast/rss.xml
    The problem is that the feed is not showing my last episode. In other words the feed is valid since it shows up on the pages cited above, but is out of date, because is not showing the last entry. It happened with my previous episode (31). After some hours the feed updated spontaneously, including the episode 31. But, again when I published the episode 32, it appeared in iTunes Store, on my Podcast page, but not on the pages where I created the RSS Widgets. I have checked the xml files on my FTP and they seem to be up to date.
    For uploading the new files I used the synchronizing feature of Transmit. Is the out of date RSS issue related to how I publish? Should I publish the whole site, for avoiding the break of the RSS, instead of just synchronizing?
    Please help
    Thanks
    Hernando Murillo
    PD: the podcast page is http://www.spanishonlyspanish.com/English/Podcast/Podcast.html

    Thanks Old Toad, but that didn't work in my case (RSS Feed not updating).
    My iWeb page http://web.me.com/eburrowes/EdinaLiberia/Projects/Projects.html
    still shows the feed on the day the widget was created, not the feed as it reads today -
    feed://www.irinnews.org/RSS/Liberia.xml
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

  • RSS feed generation with CRM data

    Hi folks,
    I got a question from my customer if RSS feed generation is possible with CRM data.
    He thinks about a scenario where for example an Intranet user can subscribe a RSS feed that provides information if certain CRM data changed, eg. a new BusinessPartner was created or a certain relationship to a BusiessPartner changed.
    Do you know if SAP (CRM) provides such RSS functionality (out-of-the-box)?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards,
    Bjoern

    In CRM 7, every user can customize his own RSS feed.
    You can find the settings in the WEBUI under personalize -> Feed
    You can also find some additional customizing in the SPRO under
    ->Customer Relationship Management
    ->UI Framework
    ->UI Framework Definition
    ->Feeds

  • LiveCycle: Online data collection from PDF to RSS feed

    Is there any resource anywhere that anyone could possibly point me to that will help me understand how to extract data from a on-line PDF form (posted at our web site) and push that data to our RSS feed?
    I have been searching for anything along this line for most of the day and am not able find anything even remotely similar.
    All help is very much...did I say Very Much?...appreciated...
    Thanks...

    Is the form being returned as a pdf or xml?  You can distribute the form, which will set up a pdf portfolio for your returned forms.  When forms are returned via email, you double click on the attachment and it puts into the portfolio.  From the portfolio you can export one or more forms (data) into an excel file.
    To export the whole form, click on File, Export and choose the file type you want.  However, if you just want the form data, I would suggest you distribute the form to create the pdf portfolio for that.

  • RSS feed doesn't give date of new post

    Hi,
    I use Firefox/Sage to check what's new in the Oracle planet with RSS feed.
    All works fine, exept for new posts in all forums, I haven't the date of posting.
    For other center, like "Oracle Press Releases" for example, I have the date of new posts. The problem exists only for posts coming from forum.
    Nicolas.

    Hi Justin,
    Thanks for answering.
    In the link which you gave, there are two date tag (as for all forum's rss) : creationDate and modificationDate, but there is not output into RSS feed screen.
    In the link below (oramag rss), there is only one date tag : pubDate, and this date is output as well on the rss field.

    Best regards,

  • An RSS feed with future dates is not recognized

    I'm using a jquery function to load an RSS feed with Ajax: Chrome can see both past and future RSS entries but Firefox doesn't show entries with a date in the future: is there something else I should do (I'd like to avoid writing an RSS feed and an html page with the same data that I would have to later update)?

    Do you see the same behavior if you load the feed directly? In Firefox, you can use
    Bookmarks > Subscribe to this page...
    when the page contains a <link> tag recognized as a feed.
    In that case, you might need to bypass Firefox's transformation and parse your XML using your own code.

  • Safari cannot open RSS feeds - "could not load any data from this location"

    I can't seem to open any RSS feeds inside of Safari. I get this error message:
    Safari can’t open the page “feed://feeds.macworld.com/macworld/all” because it could not load any data from this location.
    This has happened on every single feed. I just installed Leopard. Anybody have any hints for me?

    Hi
    First try Safari from another User Account. When you open Safari, make sure RSS is enabled in the Safari Preferences>RSS. If you can access the feeds there then there may be corruption in either the database or RSS preference files in your Regular User Account. If no go here, then I suggest you reinstall Safari. See this thread for directions.
    If the feeds work in the other user account, go back to your regular User Account: Open the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Syndication folder. Move the database3 file to the desktop, then restart Safari. Try an RSS feed. If no change, move the database file back to its original location.
    Then move these two preference files in your User Library>Preferences to the desktop:
    com.apple.SyndicationAgent.plist and
    com.apple.Syndication.plist
    Restart Safari. Again, try a feed.

  • My website presents RSS feeds to viewers. This works great with IE but Firefox does not load the RSS data, although it does present the page with blank data regions. Ideas?

    Web design tool used is NetObject Fusion 11 which puts a php proxy script on the server to function as a gateway between the RSS feed and the browser.

    XmlDocument.create doesn't seem to work in Firefox. You can see an error in the Tools > Error Console

  • Rss feed in my movie

    hey guy's i am using 2 component's from flashloaded...
    flashticker and rss feed... i am presently on a linux server at
    godaddy... for some reason it is not working... on a hunch i just
    put the url of my website with the php file and this is the error i
    am getting....this is a valid xml fee....i tried 2 ( one being on a
    different site of mine working fine )... from looking at the info
    below - i need to get with godaddy right and have them enable the
    server to allow the calling of the feed ...right ?
    Warning: readfile(): URL file-access is disabled in the
    server configuration in
    /home/content/d/g/g/dggowen/html/mortgagedaily.php on line 6
    Warning: readfile(
    http://MortgageDaily.com/rss.xml):
    failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in
    /home/content/d/g/g/dggowen/html/mortgagedaily.php on line 6

    This points out the need for a robust XSLT library or
    component. Does anyone know of such an animal? Having to write code
    to parse XML nodes and wrap formatting tags around the returned
    data seems fairly ... hmmm ... archaic. And sorting and filtering
    that data ... again, just more manual coding for what should be
    routine functionality. Sometimes it just isn't possible or
    appropriate to flip the data back for a serverside transformation
    (particularly desktop AIR apps running offline). Having at least
    some minimal set of XSLT functionality would make Flash a much more
    appealing medium for me. Anyone have recommendations beyond "code
    it yourself"?

  • Blogging RSS feeds

    Hoping some one can cast some light on this problem. I have this website created in iWeb'08.
    I have used a blog section for some news items, however when I click on the RSS feed I get the following error:
    Safari can’t open the page “feed://www.belmonthousestud.com/belmontsite/successstories/rss.xml” because it could not load any data from this location.
    Now the strangest thing is that link appears to operate fine when clicked in either Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 7!
    I have tried Safari 2 and Safari 3 beta. Strangest thing is that the podcast feed works!
    (Link to problem page)
    http://www.belmonthousestud.com/belmontsite/success_stories/successstories.html

    HAHAHAHAA!!!
    I know your problem EXACTLY!!!
    Here's what you need to do...
    Go to your domain name provider (go daddy?) and have them switch the forwarding to:
    web.mac.com/KeithVaugh (or whatever your .mac (apple) log-in name is. If you had the same forwarding before it will have all sorts of ugly stuff after it that isn't needed anymore.
    If this is godaddy you'll need to wait about 15 minutes or so after the fact.
    Then...
    In iWeb08... choose the FILE - Personal Domain settings... this will open your internet browser...
    Follow the prompts and CANCEL your personal domain. Don't worry about the warnings. -- if you keep your forwarding on at your domain provider you will still get hits/redirects at the www site.
    Quit iWeb and restart
    Then at the bottom of iWeb you will no longer see the [email protected] (www.belmonthousestud.com) with the green light... you should only see your email.
    All will be good!!!!
    Worked for me
    Best luck,

    Yes you would have to use some sort of script to convert the date, but I don't know of one to parse relative dates.
