Sound synchronisation issues

This issues has been posted before for Z1 and Tablet Z. I have issues with soundsynchronisation in Neflix Viaplay and games such as Heroes of Dragon Age. It is always the same delay in sound compared to the video. Alot of people has this problem, have anyone with Xperia Z2 a perfect working Netflix?

To everyone with IOS6 Sound related issues & Others

If you are facing a problem of not having any system sounds, notification sounds, no calls or other software sound related issues I'd suggest you read below it's a stupidly simple fix and it should solve most software issues after an immediate iOS6 update:
After updating unplug the phone from your computer and leave the phone alone for 5-10 minutes, if you still have problems: reboot, wait a few minutes and all sound related problems should be fixed.
When I updated to iOS 6 I had lost my system sounds, so I unplugged from the computer, rebooted the phone and still no go. I decided to just let the system "settle in" for a bit, let it lock and when I unlocked after 5-10 minutes sounds were back and everythings up and running again.

Well, to break it down. After my sounds finally came back (2nd time losing them) last night I decided to restore the phone in itunes. I did it twice. First time I backed up my data. Second time I restored it as a factory iPhone. Both times guess what NO SOUNDS! I also realized that last night I had lost my sounds after charging my phone and unplugging it from the data cord. I still have ringtones (when someone calls), but text messages, emails, and any other alert tones do not work. I cannot turn the volume up or down with the side buttons and also music does not play. It doesn't even have a slide bar at the bottom.
I am on the phone with apple care now. They seem to not be aware of the problem at all.
While I was on the phone with them my sounds ended up coming back, imagine that. Hopefully every time I charge my phone I am not going to have this issue.

Has Apple addressed poor sound quality issues with new 160GB iPod classic?

I just bought a new 160GB iPod classic, replacing a perfectly good 80GB iPod Video (5.5), thinking that the newer one would be superior to my 3 year old model. I discovered that the sound of the new unit was flat and muddy compared to the older model. I found that the 5th gen iPod video was more "spacial", if that's an appropriate word to use; the bass was more present and more clearly defined, as was the rest of the sonic spectrum. I searched several forums to research this issue and while there were numerous references to this issue, all of the posts I found referred to the original iPod classics (80GB and 160GB) and not the later 120GB classics nor the new 160GB classics like the one I bought. Has Apple done anything to address this issue since the first classics were released or are the new ones still suffering from the same sound quality issues as the original classics?

Based on your observations here, they apparently have not changed the sound quality since the original 160GB classic. I noticed a clear narrowing of the sound stage (ambiance) between the 5.5G 80Gb and my 6G 160GB. You're describing the same characteristic. I don't own the newest 160GB version and came here today to see if it might have improved the sound quality back to the 5.5 spaciousness. Note that the 5.5G has a higher signal to noise ratio than the 6G, making it difficult for me to enjoy it through efficient balanced armature in ear monitors like the Shure SE530s or Ulimate Ears Triple.Fi 10s.

Sound input issues. Not related to Soundflower or Balance issues

So. With the sound flower issues fixed. And my balance knobs in place for my stereo speakers. I have opened up a new song I have been writing. Again the AVIGrandpiano app was the track I was recording on. Like my previous post from last week the input on the new music was very faint and not at all matching the input of the previous recorded music. (See Screenshot on earlier posts)
I am at a loss as to where to begin to fix this.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
1. If you've recently plugged anything into the audio-out (headphone) port, plug and unplug it a couple of times.
2. From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Sound ▹ Output
Check the settings. The internal speakers should be selected as the output device, the Mute box should not be checked, and the volume slider should be at least halfway to the right.
3. Look inside the headphone port. If a red light is coming from the port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a headphone mini-stereo jack of the proper size.Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
4. Boot in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime. It will take much longer than usual. You don't have to log in; just reboot as usual (without holding any keys) when the login screen appears. (Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.)
5. Reset the NVRAM.
6. Reset the SMC.
7. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data as a precaution. You won't need your backup unless something goes wrong.
8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

IPod classic sound quality issues

I understand probably it's too much early to discuss this topic but anyway I try to ask.
In order to the release of the new model (yesterday's event in USA)of the classic, anybody has any news about the sound quality complaints arised in the previous months?
I mean, anybody knows if the quality sound problems, due to the change of the sound micro-chip, have been solved in the new modelMany thanks in advance for the help.

Excellent question, the answer to which I eagerly await. If the sound quality improves, I might purchase a 120GB, otherwise, there are now alternatives by competitors with 120GB capacity, similar form factors, built in FM radio, subscription music services, and wireless sync of the music library for the same price as Apple's 120GB. They don't have the sound stage issue as the 160GB Classic. There is even a 240GB model being offered by a competitor.
Too bad Apple didn't release a 240GB Ipod classic. Toshiba, Apple's hard drive manufacturer, announced a 240GB 1.8" drive on 9/9, coincident with the Apple Ipod announcements. I have a large and growing library of classical recordings as I explore the classical catalog, as well as many Podcasts. I could really use the space! I've input this request on Apple's Ipod feedback page and suggest that any like minded customers do the same.

I'm experiencing major synchronisation issues on ICloud, especially for documents created on my Mac in pages, keynote and numbers. Contacts and agenda items work fine. I checked all my account settings. But while I can upload documents from my MAC onto ICloud, they don't show on my IOS devices (whereas previously this worked without issues).

On this Mac I did move all the visible iCloud documents out of iCloud, into another folder, then disabled syncing, exactly as you suggested. But there were, apparently, documents remaining in my Mac's local iCloud store, "~/Library/Mobile Documents/" that I could not see (so could not remove). The Pages file "CSU-PD-UN1.pages" was one such document.
The act of disabling iCloud's document sync'ing, in System Prefs, just renames the local "iCloud" store to "~/Library/Mobile Documents/<appleid#>/" effectively shielding the it from the sync'ing mechanism. Looking at this renamed folder (the screenshot above) revealed that "CSU-PD-UN1.pages" (and other files) had not been removed; it would be reasonable to assume that one, or more, of these "undeletable" files were related to my original problem, and when I re-enabled doc sync'ing, those bad files would just clog up the works again.
So I deleted them with the Finder on both Macs (the other Mac had bad files too, but different ones), then re-enabling sync'ing on the two Macs and doc sync'ing between the Macs (and iCloud.com) appears to now work as intended.
Sadly, iOS devices (iPhone and two iPad) now do not sync at all. Newly created documents do not migrate to any other devices, and documents on other devices do to migrate to the iOS devices.
Your suggestions have certainly done some good, but something is now keeping my iOS devices out of the the iCloud doc sync'ing process. I suspect it's a similar problem as the Macs had ("invisible" files gumming up the works), so I'm going to apply some nasty tricks to explore the iOS devices file system and see if I can find them, and delete them by brue force.

HT6030 Sound output issue with Mavericks

There is a sound output issue with Mavericks and Firewire800 Audio devices. I am using a MIO 2882 but now people are having issues with other devices as well. Is this something that will be addressed in an update? If not I will need to downgrade my OS.

maybe the adapter went bad.....fast. try getting one thats made by sony. or apple. i have had bad luck with some cheap products i bought.
or maybe thats the brand you have ad luck with. i remember when i use to get some quantom fireball drives, and they just died on me the next week. im down to two and keeping a good eye on them. especially fujitsu. the only ones i have GREAT LUCK with are Seagate and Western digitals drives.

IMAP Synchronisation Issue

What it is, I manage two VPS and have them linked to my Outlook 2013 Software. One of the VPS works absolutely fine in retrieving and sending mail, however the alternative VPS (with its own Outlook Profile), is able to send mail however cannot retrieve
mail from the inbox on the VPS. I get an error message saying there is a Synchronisation issue. To the best of my knowledge, both VPS have the same settings. I have spoken to my ISP who have stated that there is nothing wrong with the server
but then always ignore me when I query how Outlook 2013 is able to retrieve from one server but not the other. They do say there is an issue with the IMAP settings but I have gone through all of that and cannot see any issue. Additionally, a Microsoft
representative remotely accessed my computer who also confirmed I need to speak to my ISP but they just simply state it is an issue with Outlook.
Anybody had any similar experiences?

Sound synchronisation

I am making a 7 minute long presentation in which the images
& text on the
screen need to synchronise with speech. I can cut the sound
in various
segments and lineup visuals accordingly but it's a long drawn
process. Is
there a simpler way of doing it? Stretching 7 minutes of
audio in the
timeline and placing keyframes at the appropriate points
would be laborius
as well. I believe there is someway with Actionscripts.
I would greatly appreciate any help - I am not an expert on
Actionscripts,
so I would be grateful if there was some explation to the
process.

I may confirm I have such AV sync problem and I also like to know how to avoid it.
For example, my FCP PAL 16:9 sequence of 27min looks fine while playing in FCP. When I export it to MPEG2 using a Compressor's 60min HQ Encode and create a DVD disk I see a lot of dropped frames and awful sync.
I find out I have to uncheck DVDSP meta-data checkbox because of my old DVDSP version and then I redo the job. It seems to me that dropped frames disappear (I am not completely sure because have not burn the disc yet) but the AV sync problem still persist. The M2V and AIFF files are in the same length that corresponds to a FCP sequence length.
Then I consider it would be a DVDSP problem because I notice that DVDSP counts the M2V file as 10 frames less. And finally while playing M2V file in FCP I see there is no sync between video and audio tracks... and I wonder what about sync between M2V and AIFF files?
So, I also would be happy to know how to deal with this issue. Thanks!

Ipad no sound - hardware issue or not?

I dropped my ipad before and the screen was cracked. I would assume the sound was damaged by the drop. However, I still have a hope that it might be the software glitches. Two signs support my thoughts: 1. the headphone works. When I plug in, I can heard the sound. 2. The sound can be heard but lasts for 1-2 seconds when I open up the screen cover.
How can I further identify the issue?

Any help here?

Airport/Surround Sound Latency Issue

I just set up a new surround sound system and am streaming iTunes through both my computer speakers and adjacent surround sound (Bose hooked up to a Yamaha BRX-610). Airport Express is connected to the receiver via standard audio cable hookup. Previous stereo had no delay, but I now have maybe a .5-1 second delay between the computer and the new surround sound.
Anyone have any thoughts, ideas or fixes?

Right now its using the analog. There is an input for optical but I have it connected to something else. Would this be causing the issue?
Possibly. The digital audio stream arriving at the Express would need to be converted to analog signal via a DAC internal to the Express prior to it being output on the base station's audio port. That conversion may be the cause of the delay.
The other cause would be the potential of Wi-Fi interference where it would introduce a significant enough level of noise to reduce the overall bandwidth ... and, in turn, potentially causing this issue as well.

Sound/audio issues s10e

i am having issues with the audio on my s10e. i get sound , it plays loud music and sounds loud, but the voices dont come through for crap. i cant hear at all almost on webcam and music comes through with almost no audible singing, i have the volumes turned all the way up and still nothing, i have no idea what to do next, HELP!!!!

I AGREE. received my S10e couple of days ago. speakers are very nice, but when i try to utilize the mic for gmail video chat i get tons of feed back. updating the drivers posted here on 4/21 helped somewhat, but still not what it should be. HELP Lenovo/Realtek! we need good drivers!!!

Sorry man ok so here is the issue sometimes my audio is really weird like the f10 f11 and f12 keys dont work and Sometimes when I put headphones in I cant control the sound using the buttons or the sound icon on the top bar
there is no red light I have checked the sound preferences I have reset the PRAM what seems to be working is when I slowly insert headphones in and out of the jack I bought this thing mid 2010 so im not covered by apple care and I hate that it costs $19 just to talk to them and I dont feel like spending $700 on a new logic board I bought this to escape my awful microsoft experiences so do you have any other ideas on this sound issue if you do that would be awesome and If I need to post a video of the issue I will thanks
ALSO im using the macbook pro 13 inch and this seemed to happen after I downloaded some bamboo tablet software
