South korea : yellow gradation problem

Korea iphone 3gs is a problem.
The greater part of iphone 3gs is yellow gradation lcd.
Apple is nothing after service about The problem.
Korean users are dis-satisfied.
Why apple take proper follow-up measures?
Are Korean users trivial?
I will expect adequate solution.

"You may expect whatever you like."
Oh yeah, that's nice, roamingnome. English is probably not zinoska's first language. How well could you phrase a request for help in Korean?
zinoska, you will have to take the phone back to your supplier and work with them to solve the problem. Sorry.

  • Harmon/kardon speaker problem in south korea

    hello-
i have a set of harmon/kardon "champagne" speakers (model HK 695) that i bought a few years ago at the apple store. they have worked great since in the states and in turkey, where i had to convert the power source from 220v to 110v. i used a fairly large, plug-in-style converter that had a fuse b/c i was paranoid about blowing the speakers out (i found out later that the bass unit also has its own fuse).
this week i have moved to a new school in seoul, south korea and i have started to have some problems. when i plug the speakers in (with the power source converted to 110v) i get feedback, like wind blowing through the speakers. it doesn't matter if the jack is plugged in to the computer/ipod or not, there is a constant "whoosh-whooshing" sound that is driving me nuts.
what's going on? i haven't had a single problem in 4 years. i'm not very good with a/v stuff, so if anyone has any ideas as to what may be the problem, or more importantly, how to fix the problem, i would appreciate any help.
    thanks,
    jesse

i'm not sure if the outlets are grounded. it's a brand-new building, completes in may, designed to "western standards." i'll check with the electricians at the school to see if they know.
i've tried several things: different outlets, different converters, with other electronics around it and without. like i sais, no problems in the states or in turkey, where power surges are the norm. i'll check on the mh thing.
if this is the problem, how do i fix it?

  • Country Lock Problem in South Korea!

I bought my iPhone 4s (Version 5.1.1) in Spain to Orange. However, I had to move to South Korea so then I asked them to unlock it, which worked fine.
I paid what I had to pay and then I did what they told me to do. I even bought a Vodafone prepaid sim card to see if it worked, and indeed it did.
Now I'm in South Korea and the people at the store tried with a Korean sim card and all I get is the "No Service" at the left upper corner on the screen (instead of the bars and the 3G). However, when I use my Vodafone (not Orange, which was my original company) simCard it detects the SKT network without any trouble. Here they told me something about country lock (of which I've never heard before), but of what I understand once you unlock your phone it should work with any company.
I hope someone can help me.
    Thanks

  • South Korea international call-in number problem

I'm visiting  South Korea for two weeks and I apparenty I can't get a skype international call-in number forthis country unless I have residence or a residence address there.  Am I understanding this correctly?

Hi, Tin12, and welcome to the Community,
    This FAQ article confirms:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA256/how-do-i-set-up-my-skype-number
How do I set up a Skype Number for another country?
Before purchasing a Skype Number, you can choose which country you’d like to use it in. Find out which countries Skype Numbers are available in.
Some countries will require that you provide proof of residence before you can get a Skype Number for that country. So unless you have a valid address there, you won’t be able to get a number for that country. These countries include:
    Brazil
    France
    Germany
    The Netherlands
    Switzerland
    South Korea
Verification of your registered address may vary across individual countries.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Section code required for South Korea - Asset Retirement, Transfer

    Hello,
We have configure the Korea client to have one Business place and section code. However, No extended WHT is activated.
Problem encountered 'Enter section code' during the ABAON, ABAVN and ABUMN. We have configure the business in Evaluation group and the asset master is updated with the respective value.
I have been searching through the forum and SAP notes and get no clues. I understand some of peer's for South Korea Asset configuration do not require the business placess configred in the Evaluation group and it still works.
I have experience the Thailand, it didn't create this problem for me, with WHT activated.
May i know is this a bug of SAP?
Thank you so much in advance.

  • Droid Razr Maxx HD Data & SMS does NOT work in South Korea

If you are going to South Korea this phone only operates as a "dumb phone" for phone calls ONLY. Data & SMS does not work at all. I contacted Global Support daily for one week with no resolution! I received conflicting information with 2 support folks telling me that the fix was to do a factory reset. So I reluctantly did this and it did not fix anything. It only wasted my time especially re-installing all my apps, etc. Then 4 support folks told me that you should never do this out of the country!! Anyway the last person i spoke to which was a network technician was very honest. He told me that I was "SOL" and he had no idea how to fix this problem. He said that he would have to get some teams together to try to fix the problem. And I was told that I would receive an email with an update. And of course I have not received any email of correspondence from Verizon. Very frustrating...

I found a solution. Okay so with the most recent update Verizon made the switch from sending text messages over their 1x network and moved them to their LTE (and possibly 3g) network, hence the reason they are sending so much faster. Today I was in a classroom that is underground and has terrible reception and noticed that I was getting delivery reports again but that my texts were sending slower, like they used to. I dug around in the phones programing menu and found a new option call "MO SMS over IMS" and it was enabled. Disabling it switches your texts back onto the old 1x network. So if you choose to make the switch, your delivery reports will come back but sending will go back to being a little slower. To get to this menu open up your dialer and type in ##7764726. Next hit send and when prompted with a password type in 000000 and hit verify. Scroll down to SMS/MMS settings and select it. Next scroll to the bottom, select "MO SMS over IMS", and disable it. Now your good delivery reports back!

  • Original Apple ID is from the United States, but I am currently a new Iphone4s user in South Korea.

I already have an apple ID and I'm originally from the states. I am currently living in South Korea and I just got an Iphone 4s. Should I make a new apple ID account or can I register my phone with my US ID account?

I'm also in Korea and I've been trying this myself. The problem seems to be that if you're using an American version of iTunes then it demands you input a 7 digit telephone number (which is pretty stupid). So honestly, I'm not sure what to do. Without registering the phone, we can't do basic things like track our phones if they're stolen.

  • Using my USA MacBook in South Korea

Okay. I bought my second iBook six months ago, and I am so pleased with it. I only have an adaptor to use here in South Korea, and it seemed to work just fine without the voltage adaptor. I have been here about a month now, though, and have recently noticed some warpage around the casing where I attach the charger to my computer. The area gets warm when I am charging it but not unduly so. Just warm to the touch.
I have arranged to get a voltage adaptor sent to me in the next week, but I do not know that this is the problem. I know a few other people who have computers--Apples, too--and they only use adaptors without voltage convertors.
Any thoughts or ideas? I will be so grateful...
    Heather

Just noticed your posts says MacBook in the title but iBook in the text. The following answer is for the MacBook.
A voltage adapter is a waste of money on the MacBook. The magsafe adapter is rated for 100 VAC to 240 VAC. The only thing required is a plug adapter for the country you use it in which you said you have. The heat is fairly normal from other posts on the subject. MacBooks usually run around 60º C for normal usage up to 80º C for CPU intensive work. Check this link for more on heat issues. Apple Notebooks: Operating Temperatures The area you mention is near the CPU so it generates the most heat there.
The warpage could be from the heat but may also be a problem with the case. You could talk to apple about it if you are concerned with it.

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

  • Can I change my SIM card to use it in South Korea?

    Hi,
I'm planning to stay in South Korea for 3 months this summer and I was wondering if I could buy a new SIM card in Korea and put it into my current Verizon phone that I'm using in the States(It is Galaxy S4). Global plan seems to be expensive so I'm planning to have Korean phone carrier while I'm in Korea but using my American phone so I don't have to buy another device to use in Korea.
    Thank you!

That sounds like an exciting trip, berryholic. Good news! The Galaxy S4 is already unlocked for use with local SIM cards while you're overseas, so there's nothing extra you'll need from us to be able to use a SIM from another carrier during your trip. If you change your mind about leaving your Verizon Wireless SIM in for the trip, be sure to visit www.vzw.com/tripplanner for all the rate details and what changes through My Verizon http://bit.ly/xB4iTc would be needed to give you the best service and rates.

  • How can I get English language support in South Korea?

I'm British living in South Korea. A few times now I have needed to get in touch with support but the Korean site only has Korean language. My Korean is not good enough to have a conversation in Korean. Anyone know how I can get Englsih language support in South Korea?

Is there an official site where I can install a
    language pack for Armenian?
Armenian reading and writing support is already included in OS X. The font is called Mshtakan. To input you need to activate one of the Armenian keyboard layouts by going to system preferences/international/input menu and checking their boxes, plus the box for "show input menu in Finder," then selecting Armenian in the "flag" menu at the top right of the finder.
Armenian requires a modern Unicode app and will not work with Appleworks or Word X.
OS X does not yet have an Armenian system localization (menu and dialogues).
If you don't have the things described above on your system, let us know.
