  • IOS/Android client - Open document from another app

    Hi,
    Is it possible to call the SAP Mobile Documents client for Android and/or iOS directly opening some specific document?
    I would like to know if I can integrate Agentry Work Manager with Mobile Documents, so the goal is to have some kind of link for each Work Order document in the Agentry client, and when user taps on it, open the related document already synched and stored in the Mobile Documents client (it should work offline).
    Is this possible?
    Regards,
    - Marçal

    Hi,
    SAP Mobile Documents can connect to many backends (CMIS compliants ones, ABAP backend etc..)
    Each documents in the backend through SAP Mobile Documents can be accessed by unique URL.
    These URLs are described here: URLs for App-to-App Integration of SAP Mobile Documents - SAP Mobile Documents - SAP Library
    You have to simply fire these URL from your app and SAP Mobile Documents Mobile Apps will highlight or open it for your based on your type of URL.

  • Support NTLM authentication against Windows 2012 RD Gateway on iOS/Android

    iOS/Android clients use only Basic authentication against Windows 2012 RD Gateway (HTTP transport), while it provides more secure options like NTLM. Both Windows and Mac clients use NTLM in that case.

    Hi,
    For this you can specify the policy setting for “RD Gateway authentication mode” under below path.
    User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\RD Gateway
    In addition you can refer beneath article if find helpful in your case.

  • JavaOne 2012: JavaFX on iOS, Android and Windows 8 Metro???

    Besides wonderful demos on JavaOne 2012 I'was wondering one big thing: Where are the news from JavaOne about JavaFX (embedded) running on iOS (ready to AppStore), Android and Windows 8 metro????

    Thanks Adrian for that information! Another guy who spoke with people from Oracle told us via twitter that's not a technical and not a political problem! But what you say ("management has not deciced yet...") sounds like a political problem. I can't believe that Oracle does not believe in a developer demand for iOS and android support?!
    Yeeees, many many developer are looking for a good(!) technology to develop crossplatform mobile applications for phones and tablets. currently there is no really good technology. As a developer you have to decide to choose the native way - so you have to develop 3 times the same app for iOS, android and windows 8 -/ metro, or choose the HTML5 way. Web apps written in HTML(5), javascript and CSS are good for small and simple things. But the main problem with web apps is the really poor rendering performance, especially of Android devices! Developing web apps with HTML frameworks like JQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch, Phonegab/Cordova and so on doesn't make much fun. It's really a hard and time consuming job to develop native looking apps with HTML5 which works performant too...
    So what we really really need is a real crossplatform technology like Java and JavaFX! JavaFX for iOS, Android and Metro would be a killer technology! Java (Swing) is not really often used to develop main stream applications...Anybody know a popular application like Photoshop, Word, Firefox, Angry Bird, Evernote, ... written in Java Swing??? No, Java is only used for business applications and server code (J2EE).
    So if Oracle invests many dollers in pushing JavaFX as the new platform for modern user interfaces, the most important thing - IMO - is to support modern operation systems like iOS, Android and Metro. There are so many young developers who developing innovativ apps for the iPhone - all these developers are Oracle clients of the future if they would use Java(FX)! The Java language is simple and JavaFX uses modern technologies like CSS and XML - technologies which are known by young developers.
    So Oracle, please show us your stuff from your labs, publish Java embedded for iOS, Android and Metro.
    The most important thing for me concerning JavaOne 2012 was any anncounement of "JavaFX on iOS, ....". But I was really disappointed to hear no single word of this topic...
    So Oracle please speak to your developers and clients, speak with us and stop this annoying secretiveness...
    Best regards,
    Tobi

  • JAX-WS Client throws NULL Pointer Exception in NW 7.1 SP3 and higher

    All,
    My JAX-WS client is throwing an exception when attempting to create a client to connect to the calculation service. The exception is coming out of the core JAX-WS classes that are part of NetWeaver. (see exception below)
    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
         at com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.client.jaxws.core.SAPServiceDelegate.createDispatchContextExistingPort(SAPServiceDelegate.java:440)
         at com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.client.jaxws.core.SAPServiceDelegate.createDispatchContext(SAPServiceDelegate.java:475)
         at com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.client.jaxws.core.SAPServiceDelegate.createDispatch(SAPServiceDelegate.java:492)
         at com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.client.jaxws.core.SAPServiceDelegate.createDispatch(SAPServiceDelegate.java:484)
         at javax.xml.ws.Service.createDispatch(Service.java:166)
    I have done some research and it appears that as of NetWeaver 7.1 SP3 SAP stopped using the SUN JAX-WS runtime and implemented their own SAP JAX-WS runtime. I also took the time to decompile the jar file that contained the SAPServiceDelegate class which is throwing the null pointer exception. (see method from SAPServiceDelegate below)
        private ClientConfigurationContext createDispatchContextExistingPort(QName portName, JAXBContext jaxbContext)
            BindingData bindingData;
            InterfaceMapping interfaceMap;
            InterfaceData interfaceData;
            bindingData = clientServiceCtx.getServiceData().getBindingData(portName);
            if(bindingData == null)
                throw new WebServiceException((new StringBuilder()).append("Binding data '").append(portName.toString()).append("' is missing!").toString());
            QName bindingQName = new QName(bindingData.getBindingNamespace(), bindingData.getBindingName());
            interfaceMap = getInterfaceMapping(bindingQName, clientServiceCtx);
            interfaceData = getInterfaceData(interfaceMap.getPortType());
            ClientConfigurationContext result = DynamicServiceImpl.createClientConfiguration(bindingData, interfaceData, interfaceMap, null, jaxbContext, getClass().getClassLoader(), clientServiceCtx, new SOAPTransportBinding(), false, 1);
            return result;
            WebserviceClientException x;
            x;
            throw new WebServiceException(x);
    The exception is being throw on the line where the interfaceMap.getPortType() is being passed into the getInterfaceData method. I checked the getInterfaceMapping method which returns the interfaceMap (line above the line throwing the exception). This method returns NULL if an interface cannot be found. (see getInterfaceMapping method  below)
       public static InterfaceMapping getInterfaceMapping(QName bindingQName, ClientServiceContext context)
            InterfaceMapping interfaces[] = context.getMappingRules().getInterface();
            for(int i = 0; i < interfaces.length; i++)
                if(bindingQName.equals(interfaces<i>.getBindingQName()))
                    return interfaces<i>;
            return null;
    What appears to be happening is that the getInterfaceMapping method returns NULL then the next line in the createDispatchContextExistingPort method attempts to call the getPortType() method on a NULL and throws the Null Pointer Exception.
    I have included the code we use to create a client below. It works fine on all the platforms we support with the exception of NetWeaver 7.1 SP3 and higher (I already checked SP5 as well)
          //Create URL for service WSDL
          URL serviceURL = new URL(null, wsEndpointWSDL);
          //create service qname
          QName serviceQName = new QName(targetNamespace, "WSService");
          //create port qname
          QName portQName = new QName(targetNamespace, "WSPortName");
          //create service
          Service service = Service.create(serviceURL, serviceQName);
          //create dispatch on port
          serviceDispatch = service.createDispatch(portQName, Source.class, Service.Mode.PAYLOAD);
    What do I need to change in order to create a JAX-WS dispatch client on top of the SAP JAX-WS runtime?

    Hi Guys,
    I am getting the same error. Any resolution or updates on this.
    Were you able to fix this error.
    Thanks,
    Yomesh

  • Resized and shrunk down image is distorted on ios/android

    It should be something very simple that just dont know.  When i proprtionally resize large image and display it on my mobile apps (ios & android) the image is slightly distorted and some smaller texts are little hard to read, or just doesnt look good.. As3 on desktop doesnt show it, and seems like only on mobile apps it happens.  I am using remote jpeg images loaded as bitmap and changing the width and height, is there something i can do to make it resize more correctly?  Thanks

    You could try applying smoothing to the image.
    _urlRequest=new URLRequest("pathtofile");
    _loader=new Loader;
    _loader.load(_urlRequest);
    _loader.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, function(e:IOErrorEvent):void{ trace(e) });
    _loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,smooth);
    private function smooth(e:Event) {
    var bit:Bitmap = e.target.content;
    if (bit != null) {

  • Developing ios/android game using flash and action script

    I'm completely new to this, I have done a bit of research about using flash to create ios/android apps, but one thing really confuses me is,
    should I create my game in flash lite or in air? I know swf format will not be supported, so i will leave that one out...
    If using air format you need to install the air application in your iphone or andriod devices before the game can be played?
    Is it possible not to use air for apps development using flash?
    Since it is somehow non-user friendly as users were prompt to download and extra application before any game can be played...
    thanks for the help in advance...

    You want to use AIR not FlashLite - for iOS the end user doesn't need to install the AIR runtime, on Android they will however. But it's painless...
    You don't need AIR for apps in Flash, but you do need to publish using AIR if going to iOS or Android.
    Be sure to get AIR 2.7 and copy it over 2.6 - CS 5.5 installs with 2.6 which runs much slower on iOS, than does 2.7

  • Lync 2013 Android Client and simultaneous ring problem

    this is sort of a duplicate but since the other one was marked as answered when it was not I figured I'd start this topic up again.
    I set up the Android mobile client on my phone and all seemed to work fine (apart from the know bu where it keeps saying "calls aren't setup to ring mobile device..."  whether the are or not) but I've run into the super annoying issue where
    even if you turn simultaneous ring off for the cell phone number it still rings through when I get a call on my Lync work phone (a bit delayed so it rings just before voice mail picks up). What stinks is that even if I completely sign out of the Lync mobile
    app I still get these ring throughs. The only solution was to reinstall the app with a bogus cell number (which is a bad way to go as it might be calling a random number if I'm not careful). the other thread had a moderator give the answer to create a user
    level voice policy to not allow simultaneous ringing. Yeah, thanks. I'd actually like to use the feature sometimes and so would all of my users.
    So, is this a bug in the Android client? In the Mobile functionality on the server? What? When I run SEFAUtil on my account it doesn't show any simulring or forwarding (my full Lync 2013 client agrees with that) so what the heck is going on. I can't roll
    this upgrade from 2010 out to users until this can be resolved.
    Steve

    I think I found the solution to the annoying ring to the phone even when your turn off your call forwarding/sim ring.
    In Lync 2013 desktop client, when you first setup SIM ring, it asks you to enter the phone that you would like to have sim ring. In this case, most likely your cellphone number. Then when you are sick of SIM ring, you decide to turn this feature off, but
    you still get SIM ring to your cellphone which is very annoying. If I remember correctly, in Lync 2010, when you switch from SIM ring ON to OFF, the cellphone number will be deleted automatically. In Lync 2013, however, doesn't do so. Therefore, your cellphone
    number is still there even though your have call forwarding OFF. This is a bug. The work around to it is to go to Tools > Options > Call Forwarding, select SiM ring; then from the drop down list, instead of choosing your saved cellphone number, choose
    WORK number. Then select "Turn Off Call Forwarding". Now, go back to SIM ring option again, you will see the saved cellphone number is now gone. It will only display your work number. Now, try to make a test call to your Lync phone, it shouldn't ring to your
    cellphone anymore.
    To me, this seems to have fixed it. You can try this and let me know if that fixes yours too.

  • Collaboration Builder SDK and iOS/Android

    Hi,
    I Just discovered Connect and dove straight in to Collaboration Builder SDK.
    Pretty soon I discovered that I can't share my swf with people connecting from iOS/Android devices.
    Is there a different way to do it?
    I basically want to create a collaborative touch app using Flash Builder that I can use in a Pod with people connecting from different devices.
    I appreciate any help.

    Currently your custom SWF must be compiled for FP9. I believe that FP 10 support is slated for Connect 9.
    From the Collaboration SDK documentation:
    Development environment
    This SDK is for Flex developers who have a working knowledge of Flex, Flex components, and ActionScript and want to develop collaborative Adobe Connect applications.
    Collaboration Builder applications must use the Flex 3.5 SDK and be compiled for Flash Player 9.

  • Lync 2013 android client fails to login bug when ISP overrides DNS

    Hello all,
    I've noticed an issue occurring in the latest Android client (as of 3/9/2015) with internet networks where the provider resolves all DNS queries to an IP address (e.g. T-Mobile, Cox Cable, and lots of others).
    Essentially, sometimes I have noticed my android client stuck on "Signing in".  The diagnostic logs show that the client is attempting to resolve http://lyncdiscover.contoso.com (which is not resolvable
    externally), but T-Mobile is sending it into a search engine.  The app continues to try to connect despite not realizing that it really did not resolve properly.  See below logs.

    Since DNS overrides by ISPs are a common occurance, I believe the app should properly handle this situation.  I installed an app to override my DNS and use Google's DNS servers, and the client connects fine.

    Hi,
    Did you login Lync 2013 mobile client internal or external the company?
    Did the issue also happen for IOS/Windows Phones or just happen for Android Phones?
    Please try to check if the issue only happen for your mobile Lync client or also happen for other Android mobile clients.
    If the issue only happen for your Android mobile, please try to uninstall Lync client and install the latest version from Android Market and test the issue again.
    If the issue happen for multiple mobile clients, please double check the Reverse Proxy settings, if you use IIS ARR for Reverse Proxy, you can troubleshooting with the help of the link below:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/nexthop/archive/2013/02/19/using-iis-arr-as-a-reverse-proxy-for-lync-server-2013.aspx

    Ok, I figured out that I had a partial misconfiguration, but the existing client behavior still leads to long delays on a variety of networks.  I had the reverse proxy forwarding into port 80 instead of 8080, which seemingly caused problems
    during the second autodiscovery phase after the first timed out.   I have since confirmed that it's not just T-Mobile, but any such provider (e.g. Cox Cable, see below) that resolves all DNS entries.
    Essentially, the following is happening:
    1) Client attempts to resolve lyncdiscoverinternal first.
    2) DNS record resolves to ISP's website, because they resolve everything and will return their own page if the entry really doesn't exist.
    3) Lync client continues to try to connect to the ISP's address, and sits for at least a minute until it eventually falls to the lyncdiscover record.
    From the below log entries, you can see that the login process is delayed a full minute due to the client being stuck on the lyncdiscoverinternal record!  Again, this does not occur on ISPs that do not catch all DNS resolution
    attempts, regardless of validity.

  • Lion Server: iOS 5 clients can't connect to Address Card Server

    I have set up shared accounts on the server for Calendar and Address Book (family) sharing. Although I can add and use the Address Book shared account on OS X Lion clients, I can't get this to work on iOS 5 clients (iPhone nor iPad). I keep on getting "CardDAV account verification failed".
    Calendar sharing works just fine on both OS X and iOS5 clients
    Let me briefly describe my setup and observations:
    Server:
    Running Lion Server 10.7.2 on Mac Mini (server)
    Using SSL connections with keys generated during set-up of the server
    Portforwarding in router (ao) for 8008 and 8843 (iCal and Address Book)
    Created  shared accounts on server for Calendar ("sharedcalendar") and Address Book ("sharedcontacts")
    In the DNS server I created services in my primary zone for "_caldavs._tcp." and "_carddavs._tcp." both on port 8443
    OS X Client (Calendar)
    Created additional CalDAV account in preferences (user "sharedcalendar")
    Left the server settings untouched (server path, port "auto" and using SSL but not Kerberos)
    Created in "sharedcalendar" different calendars and reminder lists for the family members which each can access from their OS X client
    This account is now set-up through Profile Manager (tried this with Address Book as well but didn't make any difference)
    iOS 5 Client (Calendar)
    Once tested on standalone and got this working I'm now using the Profile Manager to push the definition of the shared account to all clients
    Hostname with port 8443 (default)
    Left Principal URL blank since it was optional
    User "shared calendar" with the appropriate password
    Ticked "Use SSL"
    OS X client (Address Book)
    Created additional CardDAV account in preferences (user "sharedcontacts").
    Left the server settings untouched (port 443 using SSL)
    iOS 5 client (Address Book)
    In the settings add a CardDAV account (server, user "sharedcontacts", password, description).
    First error message "Cannot connect Using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?". When I press continue I get the error "CardDAV account verification failed"
    If I then save the account details still and edit the account I can access the "advanced settings". When I change to SSL I have tried port 0 (default value), 8443 (the one that's listed in the documentation) and 8843 (which is used by default if you try to set up the
    account in Profile Manager). All to no avail, including Profile Manager
    Observations:
    Lion Server app nicely lists both Calendar and Address Book Server as active (plus Profile Manager, File Server, Web server and Wiki server)
    When I access my server home page, Calendar is listed in addition to other services (Mail | Calendar | Change Password | Profile Manager) but not Address Book. Is this normal behaviour? i.e. can't Address Book entries be changed through a web interface?
    Address Book on OS X client uses 443 for SSL but does not require me to define port 8443 for secure iCal or Address Book server communications
    Lion Server Profile Manager specifies port 8843 as port for SSL communication. I only saw 8443 listed in documentation
    The response "can't connect .." or "account verification failed" happens very quick which make me think either the verification doesn't even leave the iPad or there is something wrong in the SSL connection
    Since iCal set-up works nicely using the same ports I am puzzled why it doesn't work for Address Book
    Your solutions or suggestions how to investigate are most welcome,
    Erik

    Thanks for joining the discussion.
    Although port 8443 is mosten quoted as correct port for CalDAV and CardDAV, port 8843 can be found both on Apple's website and other places:
    see Technical Note 1649 to find port 8443 listed for iCal and port 8843 for Address Book
    Mac OS X Lion Server for Dummies (sic) lists port 8843 on pages 236 and 238 but port 8443 in many other places
    when you want to push iCal and Address Book information with Profile Manager, Profile Manager lists port 8443 for iCal but port 8843 for Address Book as default:
    So I hope you understand I'm somewhat puzzled.
    I did get the Address Book working for my Lion desktops with the all the necessary certificates as far as I know, just not for the iOS devices (iPhone and IpPad). iCal sharing from Lion Server works fine on both Lion and iOS devices.

  • Lync 2013 Android Client - Intermittently unable to join conference

    Hi
    I've just finished installing Lync 2013 on our network (single Front End, Single Edge, Reverse Proxy Server and Office Web Apps Server).
    Everything works fine currently, with one exception:
    When a user tries to join a meeting from the Lync 2013 client on Android (Lollipop), the call generally sits there "connecting..." before it fails to connect with a message of "Can't connect the call".
    Sometimes when rejoin is pressed it will connect, but most of the time it fails.
    Testing on a Windows Phone client (and Full/Basic Lync 2013 desktop client and Windows 8.1 App)  it works every time
    Is it possible this is a Lollipop compatibility issue or does Android require something that the other devices and clients don't?
    Thanks for any suggestions
    Andy

    Hi Zahoor
    Thanks for the response
    Although you suggest it's not a compatibility issue, other devices seem to connect fine on the same account and same wifi, so I'm still tending towards a hardware / os  compatibility issue.
    I have now tested on a (very old) Samsung Galaxy S (i9000) running Cyanogenmod 11 (KitKat).  This works absolutely fine every time.
    The device I'm currently seeing issues with is a Nexus 5 running Lollipop.
    As I said they're both on the same account and same wifi.  Wifi is strong (sitting by the router), internet is a decent speed (150Mbps) and they are external clients.
    When I'm back in the office I'll try some other devices to see if they have any problems.I've had a quick look through the logs and couldn't see anything that stood out, but I'll investigate again after seeing if the other devices work.
    Cheers
    Andy
