Space around children in FormItem

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?
Inside a Form, I have FormItems with children, for example,
RadioButtons (see below).
For the life of me, I cannot figure out what property
controls the "extra space" that FormItem seems to put to the left
of its children. I have looked all over the web and throughout all
the Flex Builder documentation, but I must be blind.
Does anyone know whether FormItem has some kind of inside margin
that can be overwritten?
If I use the RadioButton control without a FormItem, I can
avoid that extra space to its left, but there must be a way to use
some kind of style attribute that would allow me to control that,
right?

The gaps around the sides are margins. The sizes of the margins are set in the Sheet Inspector. There are minimum margins, based upon what your printer driver has communicated to Numbers, where your printer is unable to print.
Your table will split and flow onto multiple pages whenever it encroaches upon the margins. You can prevent this by not making the rows and columns quite so large, and by eliminating any unneeded ones.

Space around text in a box

I am following the instructions regarding margins but whilst having lots of space on the right it remains very tight on the left. It's supposed to make the same amount of space all around the text??
Any ideas?

In the text inspector insert a margin last tick in the window after the paragraph adjustments.
Even if you don't use bullets you can also do some adjusment under that tab as far as space around text in the window.
As much as possible control your text with the sliders space before paragraph space after line spacing rather than extra characters as it is a much cleaner formating and when you make changes you won't have to remove any of those extras.
I was a print designer in another life, but text formating is text formating no matter where it is.

Template with php script, white space around background, locking layers

two questions for 2 sites:

I can't get my background to line up correctly; there is a giant white border around the whole thing. With the amount of extra space around the background on all sides, I think it may be an issue with the illustrator file I am importing, but I can't see any way to fix it there, either. All the margins that I can find to change relating to that background are set to 0. Any ideas on what could be causing this? The image in Illustrator is 14" wide, so it's plenty wide enough to cover the whole page.

I inserted php scripts into a page (in the editable paragraph region) and it is messing up the alignment of the page. Compare what you get on the home page with what you get when you click the "client login" button. Also, wondering where the extra body area came from on page http://sai.theclothesgallery.com/protected_downloads_zdr/validuser.php.
On both sites I am using wrapper and body tags, as directed in the tutorial by Nate (great one, thanks!). On my old site, http://www.theclothesgallery.com, everything works fine, but on the new ones I am just out of my mind. I've spent 10 hours over the last 2 days doing research and trying to manipulate code, to no avail. Thanks to anyone who can help.
Finally, is there a way to lock a layer inside or on top of another layer. for example, the layer the body text is in on site http://sai.theclothesgallery.com is on top of the layer that holds the page's images (which is an imported illustrator file with slices). Is there a way to lock that layer to the first one so it doesn't move if I make changes?

1. The image itself has a white border. You will need to crop that image
in an image editor such as Photoshop.
2. Looking at the source of the page you have two sections and
two opening toags but only one closingtag. The PHP
script is probably creating the additional sections, but without seeing
the script it is impossible to say for certain.
2a. You probably have a space or blank line before the opening

How to modify default Space Around Component in NetBeans 6.0?

Hi,
Does anybody know how to modify the default Space Around Component in NetBeans 6.0? I use Panel and either they stick completely to the border or stand too far. I can't find any options to modify this in NetBeans 6.0. I have tried using the 'Space Around Component...' functionality, but as soon as I move an element, NetBeans automatically replaces the values I have entered with default values I am not interested in.
Does anyone have the solution?

I think you just have to move the component holding the alt key... that way you can put the components wherever you want to..... it was alt, or shift, or another special key, try it... i don�t remember right now

Space around Table in Numbers

I'm new to Numbers and need to print a table I have devised. But there is too much space around it. When I enlarge the columns and rows, it splits into 2 pages. How do I get rid of the large gaps around the sides?

Removing White Space Around Header - from CSS?

What is causing the white space around the header and
above/below the top nav bar? There's also an extra white pixel
space between each of the buttons on the top nav bar.

I've also attached the CSS stylesheet.
I thought it might be a valign tag but they are all in the
main text and are necessary to glue the 3 main sections just under
the top nav bar. I couldn't find any vspace or hspace options in
the code.
Because of the rollovers on the top blue horizontal nav bar,
I need the "class" option in each <td> tag. Otherwise, if I
put the class="navMain" option on the <tr> tag, then the
whole nav bar will show the rollover color. Or, I suppose I could
create 5 different CSS styles for each nav button ???

QR code occupying more space around the barcode

Hi,
I am creating a new form with 7 barcodes of type Paper forms Barcode(QR code). I have two problem in this...
1) I am giving the same width and height for all the barcodes. But in the final output the size differes for all. two are of one size, other two are of other size and other 3 are of different size.
2) And for the QR code it is taking more space around the barcode where the form is looking odd with more empty space?
So, How to make all the barcodes of same size?

Frequently we are facing the issue with memory dump files which will creating space issue on the drive...
Each dump file occupying around 100 or 200 MB and it will creating every 1 mint..
please let us know how to resolve the issue.

As per me memory dumps are generated when fatal error occurs.
How to avoid it ? See below
1. Please apply latest Service pack as well as cumulative update .If you still receive this dumps please open a case with Microsoft and allow them to analyze the dumps
2. Generally a SQL server not patched to latest SP or CU can cause this issue.

Videos Come Out Small with Black Space Around-Nikon coolpix L820

In the Project Bin, right click on the File and create a New Sequence from Clip.
Export the File in the same Frame size as you video.

Hello,
I am embedding videos into an HTML page and they show up with

Is there any way to get rid of the white space around an image. A lasso?

Do you mean the wide gutter? The default for all graphics inserted or dragged & dropped into a Pages document is 12 points. You can use the wrap inspector to either turn off the wrap or decrease the gutter?

Spry Image Slideshow w/Filmstrip - Eliminating space around SS images?

I can not locate the file/setting to eliminate all the space around the Slideshow images? In Design/Code view, the SS appears nicely positioned in the table, however when I publish the page, I've got a ton of wasted space below the SS?
How do I get the lower half of my page closer to the bottom of the SS?

Update: I was able to eliminate space below the SS by deleting the entire table and starting over.

Clear space around logo

I'm wondering if there are exeptions to the rule that you have to have a certain amount of clear space around a logo.
For example, we have Forms that people fill out, that are so full of text and lines, that we can't follow our own guidelines for keeping a certain amount of clear space around the logo, and the size of the logo (logo will have to be smaller than the min. size acceptable in our Brand Standard document – but still it would be very visible).
Since those Forms are not promotional items, I"d figure that we can break the rule, but other people around me don't think so.
Is there some kind of writing on this from some Authorities in the Marketing/Advertising field that someone could refer me to?

I'm going to try to stay on topic here and answer the best I can your question about forms. You can try to contact someone at graphicdesignusa.com or the graphic artist's guild, NY. There is a very, very fine line when it comes to brand, branding, and brand identity. The standards you mention in your original post should be followed to the letter. I wonder if they have specific reference information concerning forms where there simply isn't enough room to include all of the white space around the logo. I would make an attempt to follow their guidelines and present what the result is. If they ( whoever is your boss or client who ultimately has the approval power ) think it is acceptable the way it is based on their brand guidelines, then that's on them. I'm not aware of any information available out there where an exception can be made. You will have to present some variations and have them approve whichever they end up liking the most. I'd say three variations including one going by the book. Let them decide. And, get them to physically sign-off on the approved version.

Black space around webpages.

Hi I am very new to Dreamweaver. I made a site in Golive some time ago and I now need to update it and refresh it. I had a problem in Golive with a black space around all my pages which you can see at www.goldenumber.co.uk I was never able to sort this out in the golive forum and am hoping to have more luck here. Any suggestions?

Unless I'm missing something in your question, I see the page as it was intended by the html and the css.
The black around the ediges the 'page' background - as defined in your stylesheet:
body { color: white; font-family: tahoma, verdana, arial; background-color: black; background-repeat: no-repeat; text-align: center; }
Your content area is contained within the wrapper div which is set to be centered with a width of 1000px.
#wrapper { background-position: center 50%; text-align: left; position: relative; width: 1000px; height: auto; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; }
This means that any browser window over 1000px wide will see the black background all the way around your wrapper/content area.

Stretching space around photo

I took a photo and got all the objects I wanted in it, but I would like to have a little more space around the photo, not a white border, just a little more space around the objects. Is there any way I can add more space around the photo just in case I want to crop it to different sizes?

Use the Recompose tool:
Image...Resize...Canvas to increase the canvas size. I used 130% for both horizontal and vertical.
With the Recompose tool, mark the areas to keep as is and the areas to use for the expansion:
Drag the sides of the image to enlarge it:
You'll get distortion where the image was expanded, but, depending on your original image and the amount of expansion, it should be acceptable. You can always use the Clone tool to touch up.
