Spam notification of Paypal payment on opening Sky...

I have just purchased a Kindle Fire HD and spent a while yesterday lunchtime getting to grips with it.  I decided to load Skype on it so that I can keep in touch with friends and family via the web as I do not have a mobile phone.
Imagine my horror last night when I received an email from Paypal telling me that Skype had taken a payment for £45.65 for a six month subscription!  I knew that there had not been any request for payment that I had authorised.  On the bottom of the Paypal page was a link telling me that if there was a dispute about the payment to click the link, which I did, but luckily my security on the pc cut in and warned of a threat!
I have been to my Paypal account this morning and found that no such payment has been made.  I have found this to be very worrying indeed.
Have other new Skype members been targeted in the same sort of way?

I just lost a potentially huge customer because he paid me money for a product but I never got an email from Paypal like all the other hundreds of payment notifications they had sent to me previously. I'm wondering how many other sellers have gotten this problem. When I called Paypal the first lady said they were upgrading their equipment during that time I was supposed to get that notification so it may have never gone out.  I asked her to resend that email so I know it was my error but they said they couldn't track that down because of the volume of emails.  I explained my situation where it makes my company look bad to the customer like I dropped the ball when I had nothing to do with it.  The supervisor said that they cannot write the customer an apology because it may be something to do with Gmail.  I explained that this CAN NOT happen again so I need to figure this out.  They said that everything at Paypal is working fine and that all emails are sent out consistently and I should have gotten it.  Then he went about saying that even he didn't get some payment notifications on things he sold in the past.  So what is it?  Is Paypal doing a great job corresponding with their sellers or not?  I checked to see if I trashed it or it was in the junk but no luck.  I don't think I ever got the email but have no way to prove otherwise Thank youBrad

  • Divide a Paypal payment on several accounts

Hi everyone, I'm currently integrating a Paypal payment on a webapp with IPN for notifications. All works fine, a customer can click on "Pay with Paypal" button, and will be redirected on his Paypal account to finish the payment. Now, I would know if is there a way to receive his payment divided on 2 Paypal accounts ? Something like 90% of the total payment on the first account, and 10% for the other... Maybe it's not directly possible with a simple Paypal button, but maybe with the IPN notification, could I programmatically send a certain amout of the verified payment on an other account ? Thank you.

    Hi, Carlos!
Is this payment due to be made? I mean, should customer have done this payment?
If so, I would run it from FB01, as described above. If it was an incorrect payment, that you will have to reverse it to your customer, I would create a credit memo and clear it further.
Please, give more details regarding your business scenario. Will be easier to help you.
Also, if your account is managed by open item, try FB05. Transaction to be processed: Incoming Payment

  • Warning about the open sky secured visa card

i signed up ti my fice to inform people about 3 things open sky DOESNT disclose PRIOR TO  you  agreeing to their terms  1st you will send them a securit deposit they will hold that AND will not issue the card for up to 6 weeks 2cond they will charge you the annual fee three weeks before you actually RECIEVE the card AND they will expect you to pay this fee even though you have NO card and NO ACCESS to the funds  3rd and final issue you can easily pay your bill online AND I DID they will note that you paid they will take the money from your chacking account via ach ok BUT THEY WILL HOLD YOUR PAYMENT EVEN THOUG IT WAS POSTED IN YOUR OWN BAK AND CLEARLY THEY GOT PAID THEY WILLL HOLD IT FOR 10 DAYS  i opened this card and cosed it because they never disclosed these things beore i signed up never giving me the customer the choice as to whether or not i would be ok with these itms they need to disclose these things i suspect they wont change so if you decide you want to get this card be prepared for these things the card irself was fine the online portal ok i just didnt feel comfotable staying with them  fyi the apr is 17.something and annual fee 29 $ reasonable

Opensky is the BEST secured card to start off with. I did and now I have a new car loan and prime cards 18 months later. Everything you stated is known before you even get the card. Do research before you apply for cards and people would not have this issue. I received my card about 8 days after I made my intial deposit.  Also yes they place a hold on the funds but only for a few months. Its to make sure everything clears. They give people a shot without a credit check, so they need to be safe also. I see no problem with this. After about 4 months, my payments and cash was available the same day that I paid. The fee is added right away, yes. But I had more than ample time to pay it. You can set up your account before you get the card, and pay it then. The 6 weeks thing was probably an issue with your account because I have never seen anyone wait 6 weeks for this card. In the end, I still have this card and they even gave me a CLI without making a deposit into my account. I cant stress enough how good of a good this is for rebuilding. They always report and customer service is always nice.

  • Paypal payment card ending?????

Has anyone out there heard that the Paypal payment card, the one you use in stores, is ending as of June 30th??? I received an email supposedly from Paypla stating this. I cannot find anything on Paypal announcements or the community boards pertaining to this. Please help if you can. I have emailed Paypal but, have not heard back as of yet. Thanks ahead of time for any help.Joe

With Payments Standard, when a customer pays with a credit card as a guest (no PayPal Account), they are "not" automatically returned to your web site.  This is because, PayPal is offering the customer the opportunity to open a PayPal Account.  PayPal is a corporation first and attracting new business by signing up customers takes precedence.  In order for the customer to return to your web site, they must choose to do so by clicking on the Return to Merchant link.  This behaviour is by design and there's no options or features to force the customer to return to your site. If the customer has a PayPal Account and logs in to complete the checkout process, the customer will be automatically returned to your web site once they complete the checkout process.  There's no reason to recruit them as they already have a PayPal Account.  If using Payments Advanced, the PayPal Checkout Screens are presented to the customer in a window or frame while they are on your web site.  When the customer completes the checkout process, they still have the opportunity to open a PayPal Account however, when the widow or frame closes, they basically are still on your site. With Express, the customer must have a PayPal Account so that scenario is no brainer. With Pro, you control the customer checkout experience as there are no redirects, the customer remains on your site the entire time.

  • When using program RFDM3000/Automatic creation of dispute cases what is the difference with the option of Automatic incoming payment and Open items?

We currently have a batch jobs running for each, automatic incoming payment and open items.  This was set up in the past and we are trying to determine what the difference is for each of these functions?  Do you need to have the automatic incoming run prior to the open items for residuals and payments on accounts?

    Hi Chris,
Program RFDM3000 creates dispute cases for residual items arising during automatic incoming payments (account statement, lockbox), during check presentation, or in postprocessing.
Alternatively, you can use the program to create dispute cases for open receivables items. You can use the selection criteria to restrict the quantity of open items (for example, using the document type and posting key for residual items from incoming payment postings).

  • Combine Down Payment Request and Payment of Open Item

I am paying $ 1000 to a vendor to cover $ 300 down payment request and $ 700 for an open invoice. Is it possible to make one payment transaction to cover “down payment request” and “payment of open item”? I want only one amount to appear in the bank ledger account. Thank you, Pravin

    Hi
In payment program configuration under the payment method configuration for your company codes, make sure that under grouping of items, the  two radio buttons are not selected. This should combine the two items into one payment document. Screen shot attached

  • Not receiving some Paypal payments

I am receiving some Paypal payments, but not others. I have run a test myself, charging my own Paypal account, and that works fine, and I have received a Paypal payment from one customer. But three other customer payments failed.
    What can be going wrong?

It is possible that the three that have "failed" are because the users have not completed the PayPal payment steps? You will receive a submission as soon as the user click on the "Proceed to Checkout" so even if they abandon the PayPal payment you will get a row in your table.
Do you think that this is what is happening here? Can you contact those customer to see if they actually try to pay.

  • I worked on a Photshop file yesterday, but today, I received a notification that the file cannot open because it is incompatible. Please help!

The notification simply states that the file is incompatible with my current version of Photoshop, which is crazy because it was working fine until now and I need to work on this and multiple other files.

    Thank you!

  • Send notifications during R12 Payment process

    Hello,
Does anyone know how to send notifications during the Payment process in R12. For example, I would like to send a mail to the Treasury department after the Payables department is done with invoice selection and confirmation of payments. This email notification would let them know that there are checks to be printed.
Is there any Out-of-box functionality in R12 which can send mail/alert/notifications? Also after Payment Register report is generated the related parties need to be notified.
Has anybody worked on this before?
Hoping for some real quick help on this.
    Thanks!
    Ramya

I discovered my error, I was looking at the wrong concurrent program's XML. I need to look at the XML from program: Format Payment Instruction with Text Output (IBY_FD_PAYMENT_FORMAT_TEXT). The XML from this program contains the items matching the XSL stylesheet.

  • PayPal payment issue.

I was a unlimited world subscriber for the last 5-8 years (long enough not to remember). My monthly subscription payment would always be charged from PayPal. On Aug 24, 2013 skype sent me an email that my subscription was cancelled due to a PayPal issue. There was no issue with PayPal for the last 10 years. Now when I return back to re-activate my subsription it appears $13.99/month while I always paid $9.99/month. It looks like a setup to make me pay a higher monthly fee. At the moment I am trying to find skype's customer support email. They hide it pretty well. Anyone can provide their email?

    Hello,
Using some else's thread is not only unfair to the thread starter but can lead to confusion and cause difficulty for those who are trying to assist you.
You have a different issue to that which is being discussed there. Please start your own thread .

  • I'm receiving all notifications, but only when I open my iPad, then I get them all at once...? How do I get the notifications immediately?

I'm receiving all my notifications, but only when I open my iPad, then I get them all at once. Why am I not getting them immediatlely?

Is this a wifi-only iPad?  If so, and unless it is plugged in, when you sleep the device, it shuts off the wifi radio to save battery power.  When you wake up the device, the wifi radio is re-activated, it connects and gets your notifications.  That is perfectly normal and simply a function of the design of the device.  The wifi will not shut off if the device is plugged into a power outlet (no need to conserve power then).
A 3G iPad would allow for push notifications, if the 3G connection was left on all the time.
P.S. if you do have a 3G iPad and have 3G enabled all the time, then I do not know why it is not working.

  • HT202631 Paypal payment method

Hi. As for the Paypal payment option, can I use my Paypal balance to buy apps from the App Store or music from iTunes? Is it possible to use that method of payment without having any credit or debit cards linked to my Paypal account?

    Hi,
    you create your payment methods in the IMG;
Financial Accounting > Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable > Business Transactions > Payments > Incoming/Outgoing Payment Creation > Define Payment Methods
and you assign them just one line bellow:
Define Specifications for Paying Company Code
