Dear QM Experts.
My user requirements to tests the daily schedule inspection of inprocess inspection, this is a process industry.
Please help me in this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
ufarooq

Hi,
Inprocess inspection lot gets generated only after release of the process order so you can track it by searching how many order are going to released daily and once that get released you will get an inspection lots

  • Using Two DAQ, is it possible?

Hi you guys! First of all, my name is Carlos and i´m a student of Mechanical Engineering. At the time, we dispose (in our university) from several test banks that are in poor conditions, so I been told to repair one of them. In`s a Refrigeration Test Bank (I attached a photo), it´s out of any operation so I have to put it operative again at first, then I have to replace all the analog indicators you see at the photo and become them digital. I`ve been doing some research on the web and I found the NI-6008 (This DAQ has been used in several applications in the University), I saw it can be connected with the LABVIEW SignalExpress, and it´d would be easy (in a manner of speak) in my case because all I have to do is display and register the values (temperature and pressure) from the bank and the program allows me that.
The problem surges when I see that NI-USB 6008 has 8 Analog Inputs, and I need 10 AI, so I´d have to buy two of them (Because is the cheapest one and I don´t have too much money) and I would like to know if there is any problem about connecting both DAQ at the same time? Is it possible to connect them with the Labview SignalExpress?
I hope to get some replies so I can solve my problem. Thanks for your help
    Best regards

You can certainly use two 6008s at once.  And SignalExpress will handle them, as well.  If you have no programming experience, SignalExpress can get you started.  If you want specialized analysis or display, you can use SignalExpress to generate code to LabVIEW to get you started on an application.  Note that this code will be the data acquisition and analysis part of your code.  You will still need to write the GUI properly using event structures.  If you do this, post on these forums for some tips to get you going in the right direction (e.g. use producer/consumer and state machine architectures).

    Hi,
BIW is mostly on reporting side
The reporting, analysis, and interpretation of business data is of central importance to a company in guaranteeing its competitive edge, optimizing processes, and enabling it to react quickly and in line with the market. As a core component of SAP NetWeaver, the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) provides data warehousing functionality, a business intelligence platform, and a suite of business intelligence tools that enable businesses to attain these goals. Relevant business information from productive SAP applications and all external data sources can be integrated, transformed, and consolidated in SAP BW with the toolset provided. SAP BW provides flexible reporting and analysis tools to support you in evaluating and interpreting data, as well as facilitating its distribution. Businesses are able to make well-founded decisions and determine target-orientated activities on the basis of this analysis.

Integration with Other SAP NetWeaver Components
BEx Information Broadcasting allows you to publish precalculated documents or Online links containing Business Intelligence content to SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP EP). The portal role Business Explorer illustrates the various options that are available to you when working with content from SAP BW in the Enterprise Portal.  For more information, see Information Broadcasting.
You are able to integrate content from SAP BW in SAP EP using the BEx Broadcaster, the BEx Web Application Designer, the BEx Query Designer, KM Content, the SAP Role Upload or the Portal Content Studio. For more information, see Integration into the SAP Enterprise Portal. For an overview of the ways in which BI content can be integrated into the Enterprise Portal, see Overview: Ways of Integrating and Displaying BW content in the Portal.
The documents and metadata created in SAP BW (metadata documentation in particular) can be integrated using the repository manager in Knowledge Management in SAP Enterprise Portal. The BW Metadata Repository Manager is used within BEx Information Broadcasting. For more information, see BW Document Repository Manager and BW Metadata Repository Manager.
You can send data from SAP and non-SAP sources to SAP BW using SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI). In SAP BW the data is placed in the delta queue where it is available for further integration and consolidation. Data transfer using SAP XI is SOAP-based. For more information, see Data Transfer Using SAP XI.
Integration with SAP BI Content Add-On
With SAP BI Content, SAP delivers pre-configured role and task-based information models and reporting scenarios for SAP BW that are based on consistent metadata.  SAP BI Business Content offers selected roles in a company the information they need to carry out their tasks. The information models delivered cover all business areas and integrate content from almost all SAP and selected external applications.
SAP BI Content is delivered as an add-on to SAP BW.

  • WEB Template TCode

    Hi,
We are using both 3X & 7X Web Templates in our BI System.
TCode where i can find the DEFAULT WEB TEMPLETE(3X & 7X) that is being used in system
    Thanks

Hi suser1234, To assign/check the default template: Transaction SPRO > SAP NetWeaver > Business Intelligence > BEx Web > Set Standard Web Template. The following objects refer to the default templates pattern (most commonly used ones). Go to RSA1 > Meta Data Repository. The following objects would be available in either Activated Objects or Business Content. If you need to edit them & customize according to your requirements; like say you need to work on 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN web template, edit it using Web Application Designer. • Mult channel plot without overlap & show special data points after analysis

The program need to display "n" channel data on a graph without overlap. [I plan to use xy chart & add offset to each channel to separate each channel.] After that an analysis program will run and then "I want to mark the specific points on some of channel, for example make cross on 2 specific point on 2 different channel" How can I mark the points?

You would want to use cursors. There's a simple shipping example with LV 7 called Cursor.vi that uses Cursor.PosX and Cursor.PosY property nodes to place them. Another way is to use Cursor.Index. This can be convenient if during your post processing, you return the array index of the data you're analyzing. With other property nodes, you can control cursor color, style, etc. With the ActCursor property, you assign a cursor to a specific plot. Right click on your graph and select Visible Items>Cursor Legend to see how how you would do it manually.

  • Analysis Authorization: Special Characteristics

    Hi,
SAP recommends that below special characteristics MUST be assigned to a user in at least one authorization:
    -InfoProvider
    -Validity
    -Activity
As per Note- 1000004, the user authorizations are optimized at query run time. This optimizationfollows steps:
    1. Filliing Empty Dimensions
    2. Merging Authorizations
    3. Iterations.Step 1 & 2 are repeated untill no further optimazation is possible.
Now my question, Is the above steps applicable for Special Characteristics viz InfoProvider, Validity & Activity also?
    Best Regards,
    UR

    Hi,
Can you please elaborate 'validity and activity are independent of restrictions´?
We can maintain values for Activites say 01 (create) 03 (display) etc and also maintain values for Validity stating period.
My question: If we have mulitple authorization objects with different values in InfoProvide, will they be optimized as described in Noted 1000004?
    Please advise.
    Best Regards,

  • What is Short Dump Analysis and  secendry index  ?

    Dear Experts .
    1.) What is purpose of T-codes SE30 and ST22 ?
What is Short Dump Analysis ?
2.) What is secendry index , How to use it ? How it effects the Performance of a report ?
    Please it is urgent ...
    Regards : Rajneesh

    Hi
A dump analysis is a comprehensive list that should enable you to identify the causes and possible solutions of program errors. The ABAP Workbench generates a short dump whenever a report or transaction terminates due to a serious error. The system enters the error in the system log and writes a snapshot of the program at the moment when it terminated into a special database table called SNAP.
Dump analyses give the user or programmer information about the causes of the error that has caused the program to terminate. Experienced users can use them to identify very quickly where and why this occurred. He or she can them solve the problem.
The snapshot contains the following information:
    Why the program has terminated
    What caused the program termination
Where in the program code the termination occurred
What you can do to correct the error
The values of the relevant system fields when the program terminated
The calls or events that were active when the program terminated
Any other programs that are affected.

Index: Technical key of a database table.
Primary index: The primary index contains the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-key fields of the table. The primary index is created automatically when the table is created in the database.
Secondary index: Additional indexes could be created considering the most frequently accessed dimensions of the table.
    Structure of an Index
An index can be used to speed up the selection of data records from a table.
An index can be considered to be a copy of a database table reduced to certain fields. The data is stored in sorted form in this copy. This sorting permits fast access to the records of the table (for example using a binary search). Not all of the fields of the table are contained in the index. The index also contains a pointer from the index entry to the corresponding table entry to permit all the field contents to be read.
When creating indexes, please note that:
An index can only be used up to the last specified field in the selection! The fields which are specified in the WHERE clause for a large number of selections should be in the first position.
Only those fields whose values significantly restrict the amount of data are meaningful in an index.
When you change a data record of a table, you must adjust the index sorting. Tables whose contents are frequently changed therefore should not have too many indexes.
Make sure that the indexes on a table are as disjunctive as possible.
(That is they should contain as few fields in common as possible. If two indexes on a table have a large number of common fields, this could make it more difficult for the optimizer to choose the most selective index.)
    Accessing tables using Indexes
The database optimizer decides which index on the table should be used by the database to access data records.
You must distinguish between the primary index and secondary indexes of a table. The primary index contains the key fields of the table. The primary index is automatically created in the database when the table is activated. If a large table is frequently accessed such that it is not possible to apply primary index sorting, you should create secondary indexes for the table.
The indexes on a table have a three-character index ID. '0' is reserved for the primary index. Customers can create their own indexes on SAP tables; their IDs must begin with Y or Z.
If the index fields have key function, i.e. they already uniquely identify each record of the table, an index can be called a unique index. This ensures that there are no duplicate index fields in the database.
When you define a secondary index in the ABAP Dictionary, you can specify whether it should be created on the database when it is activated. Some indexes only result in a gain in performance for certain database systems. You can therefore specify a list of database systems when you define an index. The index is then only created on the specified database systems when activated

  • Report S_ALR_87012085 , field Special G/L commitments

    Hi,
    A background of my requirement:
I want to have a vendor aging report. I have explored & identified that there are two standard reports available for the same:
    1. S_ALR_87012085
    2. S_ALR_87012078
I have run through Forumn & haven't got any answer for my query hence posting a new query. I need to understand some area in relation to these two reports.
Our requirement from a vendor aging report is to have multiple level summation from the point of view of Co. Code; then under Co code -> Account(vendor or Customer); then under Account detail list with seperate summation based on Spl. GL indicators for each Business Area.
    Need guidance on:
    1. S_ALR_87012085 : This report more or less satisfies my requirement except no seperate summation is happenning on the basis of Spl. GL indicators. However, in this report there is a input field is available 'Special G/L commitments'. I am putting values 'AW' here but no different output is coming whether we use this field or not. Please guide the purpose of this field & how to use the same. The document part says:
"List of Special G/L Inds for which Balances are Displayed
List of the special G/L indicators for which separate balances are to be
displayed in the specifications for the master record area. If special
G/L transactions were posted which are not included in this list, the
balances are summed up under "Other commitments". Noted items are not
        taken into consideration."
    2. S_ALR_87012078: There is a report already existing '0SAPDUEAN-01' under the report type 'Line item analysis'. This report also doesn't satisfies my purpose completely. So I need a guidance whether I should modify a current report or create  a new report. Also whether this transaction supports two report & provide us an option to choose either while executing the report?
Also in many threads it is written that,
' Go to transaction code FDI4
Select Form Type RFFRRD20 Line item analysis'
But I am not able to see this form type in my system. I am running on SAP 4.7.
    Awaiting response......
    Thanks,
    Akhil

    Dear AB2312
I undersood what you are saying, to put Spl GL recon account in the 'Line Item Recon A/c' field. But my purpose is still not resolved. I need to run S_ALR_87012085 once with all the input parameters & output should have multiple level summation as pointed by me in my first Post. Thats why I was wonderring what purpose 'Special G/L commitments' field serve.
Any suggestion on S_ALR_87012078 this as well?
    Regards,
    Akhil

  • Hide Particular Item Group from Selection Criteria of Sales Analysis Report

    Hello Experts,
Is this possible to Hide Particular Item Group from Selection Criteria of Sales Analysis Report?
I have one Item Group as 'Special Items'.
Now, when I open  Item wise sales analysis report, I want to hide above mentioned group from selection criteria.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Pankit Sheth

    Hi,
    1. Not possible to put validation for selection criteria windows.
    2. In standard, I don't think it is possible to hide only one item group.
    3. Alternatively don't give authorization to user for running sales reports. If still need create customized query and ask user run every month.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Sales Analysis report results are being affected (or eliminated) by SQL

When running Sales Analysis by Item (Item Tab), the client keys in item 15454*
in the From and To Field and selects the first and last Item Codes listed
in the result set. The first item code is The results of the Sales Analysis report includes items from 15454-048E-1-41.3 through 15454E-XC-10G.
The result set stops at itemcode 15454-EIA-SMB-B84 despite that fact that there
are many items with sales with Item Codes higher than the 15454-EIA-SMB-B84.
The SAP support rep highlighted that the application is ignoring the dash in it's filtering priority even thought the item lookup is accounting for the dash.  The response is that this is the behavior of SQL server.
It is true that SQL does ignore dashes and possibly other special characters in sorting nvarchar fields.  However, it is important that the lookup (to select a range of items) and the result set remain consistant in the application regardless of the database/datatype.
With no ability to customize (or fix) the report from the field, we are requesting this a a design change.  We recommend testing with all other special characters as to ensure that the report is actually producing accurate results.

    Hi Peter.......
    Welcome to SAP Forum....
You can try this report which gives you result of Sales Order regardless of Current Status...
    Select * From ORDR T0 Inner Join RDR1 T1 on T0.DocEntry=T1.DocEntry
Put the desired field in place of * which ever you want in report......

  • Analysis Authorization Migration Question

    Analysis Authorization Migration Question
    This is detail Question
    1)     I am testing Analysis Authorization Migration in NW2004s SP9 and have applied all OSS notes that are relevant to SP09 and are coming in SP10.
    2)     We have 2 Info object flagged as Authorization relevant 0COMP_CODE and 0COSTCENTER
    3)     We have Object level security set-up in BW 3.x system and for a role we have specified values like 0COMP_CODE has value 1000, 1800. “:”. In the same role we have specified 0COSTCENTER value 130001 to 180001, “:”  and hierarchy node.
    4)     When we migrate to Analysis Authorizations, using RSEC_MIGRATION, this program creates 2 Authorizations ZCOCODE00 & ZCOSTCTRH00. Both of them have 0COMP_CODE and 0COST_CENTER Objects.
    5)     ZCOCODE00 authorization gets value 0COMP_CODE values 1000, 1800. “:” and 0COSTCENTER Value “:”.
    6)     On the same line ZCOSTCTRH00 gets value 130001 to 180001, “:”  and 0COMP_CODE “:”.
    1st Question:
    1)     Why does it create 2 Authorizations?
    2)     During Checking it does not pass the authorizations, because it seems to me that it fails in Optimization process.
    3)     I manually merge the authorizations in “ONE” object then authorization check passes.  In other word if I combine ZCOSTCTRH00 & ZCOCODE00 then Query authorization check passes.
Any one is struggling on this.
Please note, I am doing Migration so that it updates existing Profiles (Roles now from SP9).
Any comments will be very help full.
    Pankaj Gupta

    Hello Pankaj
There are some basic misunderstandings on your side.
    Let me try to clarify:
First we should distinguish between migration of authorizations and of what a query does with them.
You had 2 auth objects before migration (in 3.x).
Of course, they must be migrated to 2 new analysis auths.
There is no general possibility to combine authorizations to a single one as the may appear in different roles and users. Moreover this would kill performance and finally, nobody would recognize the origin.
Only in very restricted cases one could think of a combination of auths which come out of migration. But, then people loose overview about what goes on.
Before the corrections in note "Migration IV" the : had not been inserted but now it is for good reasons.
Now, accept for the moment that you receive 2 auths.
Then, you cannnot (must not) combine the 2 resulting authorizations!
    <b>Authorization 1</b>
    COMP_CODE : 1000, 1300, “:”
    Cost Center : “:”
    <b>Authorizations 2</b>
    Comp_Code “:”
    Cost Center : 3100001-31999999; “:” plus a Hierarchy Node.
    This means that e.g. combination
    COMP_CODE 1000
    COST_CENTER 3100001-31999999
<u>is not allowed!!!</u> Therefore, they must not be combined!
Also, the query and its optimization is comepletely independent of the migration. And here, during query run time the auths cannot be combined. It is no failure!
Moreover, the merging optimization is just a performance optimizaiton and has nothing to do with whether the query result is authorized or not.
If you combine them manually you have authorized different combinations.
Well, now you may wonder why you get 2 auths at all which leads to a "no auth" result in the query execution.
The reason is, that in 3.x where you got a result with your 2 auth objects the modeling was wrong.
If you want to authorize any combination of characteristic values, you should combine these characteritics together in one auth object, not in 2!
(In BI7.0 it works like that but not in 3.x)
But you defined 2 which may be valid even in several other InfoProviders independently and not even at the same time. Moreover, the auth objects may come from different roles and may be assigend to different users which then have completely different auth content. In general it is not possible to combine different auth objects or to find out those special situations which nevertheless allow for such optimizations. If you re-do a migration with more objects and users you could even receive different results which is also not satisfying.
Therefore, instead, the mechanism was introduced to insert a : auth to those characteristics that are auth relevant (and checked now with 7.0) but not in the currently processed auth object.
In you special case it may have made sense to combine them but not in general. And a migration can only try to work as general as possible.
For your application you may combine the 2 auths manually if you want to allow also the crossover combinations
    COMP_CODE 1000
    COST_CENTER 3100001-31999999

  • Analysis Authorization and relates issue

    Hello all,
I am in the midst of designing authorizations using RSECADMIN transaction.
We have a set of 50 different queries.
In our cube, there are 5 different characteristics, which are authorization relevent.
So, in RSECADMIN, i have created one analysis auth role, included all special and authorization relevent characteristics and maintained the appropriate values.
But when i execute the queries, the desired output is not coming.
    - Do i need to create authorization varaibles and included in all my queries ?
    - Without including the auth.variabes in queries, is there any other way to restrict the users ?
I though, by assigning the parameters in RSECADMIN, the query will automatically filter the data.
    Can you pls help ?
    We are on SP19.

    Hi,
First of all, The query is always based on a InfoCube. Now, you have 50 different Queries which is based on this InfoCube if I am not wrong as you are not getting any authorization error.
For a query to run, the user should have access to 1. Query, 2. Infocube and 3. Data(All Auth Relevant + 4 Special Objects)
Authorization relevant objects are for an InfoCube which means that these objects are important or key fields for the infocube.
You say that in your case, you have 5 Auth relevant objects which means they are important. But please note that there are more infoObjects in that InfoCube.
Now, when you go to the query design, you can restrict on any object in the InfoCube but it makes more sense that you do it on one of those authorization relevant objects as you have to specify that in the Analysis Authorization where the system can pick up the data easily and give the output.
Again, on the query design, if you have designed the query with processing type "Authorization", then it would automatically pick up (What you mentioned as automatic filtering) the value from the Analysis Authorization which is contained in the user's role for that query which otherwise gives a wide variety of options to chose from where the user has to choose the correct one.
To get the desired output, all the correct variables should be included in the query and user should have access to all the three mentioned above.
May be this gives a clear picture.
