Specifying Tags + Classes in the Mark-up

I just downloaded Rf and am giving it a quick look. I was "lured in" by the mobile-first capabilities. However, I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to create semantic mark-up and to specify custom classes that will appear in the generated output. Anyone know if this can be done?
I had a look at Macaw (similar UI), and it's promising, but it doesn't allow for a mobile-first approach.

Thanks for those charts.  I am building the site for both myself and my visitors.  After looking at your chart I think 90% is good enough for me.  My old website that I am rebuilding used framed pages and front page to build it.   I am making my layout so that IF i find that the fixed nav box is too Dicey I will just pull it off the site.
I am not suse which browser dreamweaver has built in.  I moved into a new windows 8 computer with CS6 at the same time.  I have not downloaded any browsers yet.  I was just building this based on the newest stuff released.  I am far from testing it out and should have gotten some done by now.  AS of right now I have 140 hours in building my new layout and learning CSS coding.  I have not uploaded yet to a URL so I will need to get back to you when I do.  The little bugs keep setting me back to zero.  The layout looked like it all snapped to the grid.  My layout divs were 12 column with 4 divs approx 200 px 400px 300px and 300px everything snapped to and looked fine.  When I started adding my PS images and content to my divs the 4th div fell back down a row in the view.  I then click the arrow to move it down a row which it did then I tried to move it back up.  It would not go.  I have boxes with borders, radius corners, and dropped shadows on the containing box.  I looked at it and starting thinking the CSS styles made it wider than the fluid grid would allow.  So i then removed the styles and it is still stuck a row below where it should be.
Futher down my page I have 4 more rows with 4 divs in each row.  The last 4 all drop down so that it is totaly different than what I a laid out.  It is weird because my div is three colums wide.  I have the last three colums open on the lay out but it will not move up and it seems like the margins are tight or the gutter is wrong.  I am not sure.

  • Custom component/tag class:  ---which setters/getters do what?

    Hi
    I'm trying to create a custom component, but, there is a major concept that I do not understand...
    ---What are the setters/getters in the "component" class used for?...
    ---What are the setters/getters in the "tag" class used for?
    Another way of asking is...
    ---Which setters/getters are used simply to keep track of attribute name/id/key?
    ---Which setters and getters refer to the actual objects that the attribute names point to?
    The reason for my confusion is that nearly all "custom component" examples I've seen thus far, utilize attributes that point to "String" objects... (i.e., as opposed to ArrayList, HashMap, etc)...
    This makes it difficult for me to distinguish whether the String values in the getters/setters are referring to the String name/"id" of the attribute...or, the String "value" of the attribute...
    I have not been able to verify how I should code the getter/setters (and type casts) for other kinds of objects like ArrayLists, HashMaps, etc
    For example, a typical logic mechanism Ive seen in the custom "tag" examples is as follows...
    in a "tag" class...
            if( tabledata != null )
                if (isValueReference (tabledata))
                    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();
                    Application app = context.getApplication ();
                    ValueBinding vb = app.createValueBinding (tabledata);
                    component.setValueBinding ("tabledata", vb);
                else
                    component.getAttributes ().put ("tabledata", tabledata);
    in the "component" class...
        public void setTabledata (List tabledata)
            this.tabledata = tabledata;
        public List getTabledata ()
            if(null != tabledata)
                return tabledata;
            ValueBinding _vb = getValueBinding ("tabledata");
            if(_vb != null)
                return (List)_vb.getValue (getFacesContext ());
            else
                return null;
        }...considering the above code,
    ---when/where should the "tabledata" variable be referring the "name/id" of the attribute?...
    ---when/where should the "tabledata" variable be referring to the "value" of the attribute?...
    ...as, I need to change the type casting to adjust to what it should be...
    ***NOTE: This is one error that I'm getting, and I believe it is because I do not understand how getter/setter is used in "component" and "tag" classe, i.e., :
    "org.apache.jasper.JasperException: jsp.error.beans.property.conversion
         org.apache.jasper.runtime.JspRuntimeLibrary.getValueFromPropertyEditorManager(JspRuntimeLibrary.java:885)"...
    Thanks for any help on this!

    The "tabledata" variable always refers the local value of the attribute.
    When using a value binding to some backing bean,
    the local value is null and the model value is owned by the bean.
    You don't need any casting in the tag class nor the component class.
    The setters/getters in the component class specify the type of the attributes.
    Conversion from/to String to/from the type is done automatically if possible.
    When the automatic conversion is impossible, you should specify f:converter
    for the attribute.

  • Error:"The specified tag name was not found"

    Hello:
    My problem is the FieldPoint error message in LabWindows/CVI v6.0.
    When hook up with Ethernet module(FP-1600), NO Problem on the source code, specially item Name "All". See the actual code.
    if(status = FP_CreateTagIOPoint (ServerHandle, resourceName, deviceName, "All",&IOPointHandle))
    But When hook up with RS-232C Module(FP-1000), occured error. The error code is 32812, that means "The Specified tag name was not found."
    What makes this error? Why item name "All" makes the error when using FP-1000?
    Please help me.
    Thank You.

    Make sure the resourceName and deviceName match what is in FieldPoint Explorer. See the following KB:

  • Custom taglib access the variable of jsp in the tag class

    Hi guys:
    I have a question about taglib.the scenario below
    there are a set of tag,they all need to access a variable that declare in the jsp.yes ,I can use the approach like this,
    first I declare a variable
    <%!String variable="test";%>
    then pass the value
    <myTag:hello att="<%=variable%>"/>,but I think that's stupid,because all tags access the same variable.why not get the variable in tag class?
    for example
    public int doStartTag() {
    String variable=;//get the variable at here
    I mean,I want to get the variable's value in my tag class directly without passing parameter in the jsp via attribute of tag ?
    can I do like this?if yes,how can I?
    thanks advance!

    Hi,
    Review pageContext, TagSupport from the JSP and Tag Extensions API. You can put the variable into any of the four scopes and retrieve it using the pageContext object.

    This is a class loader issue, somehow you have deployed the same classes in two places, so have two different versions of the classes.
    How, exactly have you deployed things, where are your domain classes?
    The issues is most likely that,
    Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("SpacesReposPUnit");
    will always return the same factory once it has been deployed.
    If you pass a properties map to createEntityManagerFactory and set the property "eclipselink.session-name" to a unique value, then you should get a new factory.

  • Type="Class"  in the jsp:useBean tag

    Hi every one
    I create a class named quiz containing four Strings question,answer1,answer2,answer3
    I initialize them in the constructor.
    I made four get methods ...getQuestion(), getAnswer1 ...and so on.
    I made the class implement the serializable interface.
    in the main i created an object of that class and stored it on a file with .ser extension and i do the following in the jsp page
    <jsp:useBean id="anyID" BeanName="name of the .ser file" type="className--i put the class name--"/>
    but he gives me classnotfoundexception for the classname in the type field.
    what can i do?
    thnx in advance.

    what can i do?Make sure that the class "quiz" is available to your web app.
    Should be under the web-inf/classes directory (in its package directory)
    Regarding your Quiz class:
    - It must be in a package
    - Also that it has a public noargs constructor:
    package myPackage
      public Quiz(){
       }This class file should be in web-inf/classes/myPackage/Quiz.class

  • Add specified tag to comments

    I’ve been trying to learn AppleScript, but I simply don't get how you develop a script from scratch. Do you start with the Applescript library? Do you start with lines of script that you already know? The books I‘ve read don't seem to really explain the workflow process for actually creating scripts. They simply describe scripts; yet, they say it it’s easy to develop scripts because it’s almost like the English language.
    Anyway, I want to develop a script that will add specified tag(s) to selected tracks.
    I got this bit of code from another script, and tried to add what I thought might work, but needless to say, it doesn’t.
    tell application "iTunes"
    set theTrack to (item 1 of (get selection))
    set commentText to comment of theTrack
    set commentList to paragraphs of commentText
    set newComment to {“youtube download”}
    Can anyone assist me?

    I don't know whether it's the nature of the language, the skill of the author, or just me, but I've never found a book that I think really teaches AppleScript.
    AppleScript is both simple and complex at the same time. Its simplicity comes from the natural-language format of the application, its complexity comes from the diverse (and inconsistent) AppleScript implementation within other AppleScripts.
    You see, unlike most other languages the basic abilities of AppleScript are fairly limited. Where it gets its power is in its ability to drive other applications to do the heavy lifting. For example, I wouldn't even consider writing an AppleScript to rotate an image or, in your case, edit an audio file, but it's almost laughably easy to write an AppleScript to tell some other application (e.g. Photoshop for the image, iTunes for the audio file, etc.) to do it.
    And that is really where the learning curve of AppleScript comes in - knowing which applications to target, and the specific implementation of AppleScript within that app.
    The AppleScript Editor helps some here - it allows you to read the AppleScript dictionary of any application which exposes the commands the application can execute, as well as the classes of objects the application understands.
    In your case, if you open the iTunes dictionary in AppleScript Editor you'll see, amongst other things, a track object, along with the properties of a track (i.e. the data that iTunes knows about that track and can manipulate). Familiarity with various application dictionaries is key to getting the most out of AppleScript (you don't need to memorize the entire dictionary, just have an idea of what the app can do, then use AppleScript Editor to view the dictionary and explore).
    So for example, how did you know to add: “set newComment to commentText & return & "youtube download"“? Did you look that up in the dictionary, reference book, or did you just know that script you needed?
    In this particular case, that's just pure vanilla AppleScript.
    As I mentioned above, the base AppleScript language has limited scope that mostly hinges around basic object classes (e.g. 'integer', 'text', 'boolean', etc.) as well as operators (+, -, *, /, etc.), logic ('if/then/else') and loops (e.g. 'repeat').
    Your goal required building a new comment for the track where the new comment consists of the existing comment text plus some additional text, so that's what that statement does:
    set newComment to commentText & return & "youtube download"
    The & character is used to concatenate string (text) objects together. In this case the command combines commentText (previously declared as the existing comment for this track), a return character, and the string of characters "youtube download".
    Once those strings have been concatenated they're assigned to the variable newComment which can be used to reference that data later in the script (in this case, on the very next line, but it could be much further away).
    That's pure AppleScript. That line of code doesn't depend on any other application (as long as commentText is properly defined, of course).
    The trick, and the part you were missing, was knowing to pass that data back to iTunes to apply it to the track.
    So how do you learn this stuff?
    Well, the AppleScript Language Guide covers pretty much all the basic/pure AppleScript stuff (base classes, operators, loops, handlers, etc.), but it is really a reference guide - something to refer to as needed, not to read end-to-end, so keep it handy but don't sweat it.
    The second resource is the AppleScript Editor, especially the dictionary viewer to see what each application can do.
    Then there's trial and error - poke around and see what happens.
    Then there are forums like this one, and MacScripter where you can ask questions to the community - by and large the people who love AppleScript really LOVE AppleScript and are happy to help solve any problem or question.

  • Error 58 The specified server cannot perform the requested operation

    Hello,
    I will try to explain the situation as brief as possible. Next to our current existing MDT environment (MDT2010 on Windows 2008 R2) we are no building a new system (MDT2013 on WIndows 2012 R2). We have multiple sites and the MDT deployment share is setup
    in DFRS share so every site is getting the same deployment information and replication is done automatically. This has been working firn for 3 years with the old system and also with the new environment it was working fine in our own subnet. But when after
    i have setup the remote MDT and WDS servers it is not working in these remote sites. The images are loading fine but for some reason the win PE is not connecting to the shares on the windows 2012 server in our site. When i manuualy connect from a remote win
    PE to our server i always get the error: system error 58 has occured. The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
    I have been doing some troubleshooting and it seems i only got this issue when i connect from win PE 5.0 to a windows 2012 R2 server in a remote subnet.
    When i use win PE 5.0 and connect to a windows 2012 R2 share in the same subnet it connects fine.
    When i use win PE 5.0 and connect to a windows 2008 R2 share in a remote subnet it connects fine
    When i use an older win PE and i connect to a windows 2012 R2 share in a remote subnet it connects fine
    When i use win PE 5.0 and connect to a windows 2012 R2 share in a remote subnet it does NOT connect and gives the above error
    The problem is that this problem also does not occure in Windows 7, after the machine was build by MDT and get into the OS i can connect without a problem to the windows 2012 R2 shares.
    Checking the event viewer on the 2012 R2 server that is hosting the shares i see that the following events are created:

    This event is generated when a logon session is created. It is generated on the computer that was accessed.
    The subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
    The logon type field indicates the kind of logon that occurred. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
    The New Logon fields indicate the account for whom the new logon was created, i.e. the account that was logged on.
    The network fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
    The impersonation level field indicates the extent to which a process in the logon session can impersonate.
    The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
    - Logon GUID is a unique identifier that can be used to correlate this event with a KDC event.
    - Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
    - Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
    - Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

    This event is generated when a logon session is destroyed. It may be positively correlated with a logon event using the Logon ID value. Logon IDs are only unique between reboots on the same computer.
    Anyone an idea why this is happening?

    Hi,
    We can refer to the following blog for MDT troubleshooting:

              The class does contain the setter, so we don't know why the message pops

              know how to get rid of it ? We're running out of ideas, and rebooting
              the server every 2-3 days is not acceptable.
              The configuration consists of BEA WebLogic 5.1.0 SP8 + JDK 1.2.2_07 +
              HPUX 11.0.
              Any help is greatly appreciated.

    so doesn you bean have a
              void setLimit(String) {}
              String getLimit() {}
              or does it have mismatched getter and setter?
              like
              setLimit(String) {}
              int getLimit() {}
              take a look at :

    when i try to run the application, i am getting compile time errors as below,
    The class of the deferred-methods return type "{0}" can not be found.
    No property editor found for the bean "javax.el.MethodExpression".
    After going through the discussion forums i learned that the compilation errors can be resolved by setting the <jsp:directive.page deferredSyntaxAllowedAsLiteral="false> at the starting of the page.
    Even after that i am getting the compilation error.
    Any solutions, suggestions or possible approaches would be helpful as i am new to Webcenter Portal development.
    Thanks,

    The error you get points to a problem on the page (somewhere). Switch to source mode and check the right margin if you see orange or red marks. These are pointing to problems (not all are show stoppers, but they give you hints that something is not according to the standard for jsf, jsff, jsp or jspx pages.
    Have you checked that the bean is correctly defined and that it's reachable?
    Start a fresh page and isolate the problem, e.g. build a selectOneChoiuce on the new page (don't copy it as you might copy the error too) and make it work on the new page. Once you have it running you can compare the solution to your not running page.
