Speichererweiterung für PLD Layout möglich

Hallo @all,

  • How to attach PLD layout for my custom form.

How to attach PLD layout for my custom form.
    Or
How to enable print functinality for my custorm form - purchase indent etc
Is the only option is Query print layout or any other option?

    Hi,
Unfortunately, you cannot create your own PLD layouts for your addons. Instead, most developers opt for a third party report writer such as Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services to provide reports.
If you search this forum you'll find a lot of useful information on how to integrate Crystal with your addon.

  • PLD layout template cannot change or modify layout contents..

    Dear Experts,
I have duplicated a PLD layout template, but then when I wish to change either a picture or texts in the template, I was not able to save the template thereafter.
On a closer look at the DB, I realized the RDOC.CanChange field is set to 'N'. Can anyone advice me the nature of this field if it is related to my problem? and how I can set it to 'Y' using the SBO application.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Warmest Regards,
    Chinho

    Hi LIm ,
The header data of any PLD goes to Rdoc and Item level data goes to Ritm table .
Actually this is right concern for u , but this should by Y.
So pls instead of changing from backend , kkep looking  fron front end .
If you duplicate a pld template and save this with your own given name, u can do changes .
this is ideal application od PLD.
Chek the  database and formula field of your pld .
Hope this will help u .

  • PLD Layout change option is not avialable in Limited User Licenses

    Hi Experts
I have purchased 2 CRM & 2 Logistics Licenses. In both of licenses PLD designer is not opened. It gives message 'You can't open window (60213) Type List Form with your current License. Is it not possible to open PLD design with limited users. I have check that I give full authorization to the users.
    Regards
    Jitender

    Hi,
Editing PLD layouts is considered a part of system management tasks for SAP Business One. This means that the Limited Users are not able to edit the PLD layouts.
Document settings (numbering, print preferences)  is set NULL for both CRM & Logistics limited license. so it is not possible to change the layout too.

  • Backorder PLD Layout

    Experts,
I have an old client using SAP 2007A PL=49.
They would like to know what PLD variable could be utilize in the Backorder PLD Layout to display the price after discount?
Thank you for any  suggestions in advance.
    Regards,
    Jose

    Gordon,
Yes, they need to edit the existing Backorder PLD layout. We tried using the generic variable for price after discount and that is variable #80 but it does not work on the Backorder PLD Layout at this version.
    Any additional advise would help?
    Thank you.

  • Add custom query to standard PLD layout

    Hi Everybody,
I need to change the standard Invoice PLD report, in order to include additional data that is
    kept in my UDO.
Is it possible to define a custom query inside PLD to retrieve data from the UDO
(the UDO is linked to the Invoice) and show it in the Invoice layout?
    Thanks all,
    Manuel Dias

    Hi Manuel,
One workaround you can try is to use UDF and formatted search to retrive the info on the invoice screen and then directly display it on the invoice PLD.
    Hope it helps.

  • Add a Table to PLD layout

    Hello Everyone,
Looking for some help. I am trying to change the PLD for the Pick List in SBO 8.8. I want to add a field from the ORDR table to the pick list. This table is not in the standard list.  So, I am trying to add the table by adding a database field that links to the Sales order number on the Pick List row.In the Properities menu, on the Content tab, I am  using the ATL+Click on the Table editbox dropdown, where I can select the ORD table. In the Column editbox I am selecting the Document Number and in the Relate To editbox I am selelcting the unique Id field which displays the Sales Order Number ( f_230).  I am pulling information from the ORDR table BUT I am not getting the information from  correct Sales Order.   What did I do wrong ?
    Kathy

    Hello Kathy,
Alt+click is not a supported function. Even though you can add any tables to the PLD, you may not be able to link them correctly.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Diffrent prints of same pld layout from diffrent printers

    Hi
I have freezed one sales invoice pld for a pre printed invoice.
When i print it from one printer then it shows exact print on the pre printed paper as desired.
Now on another system and printer i use same pld, it shows different print and there is a lot variation of print from two different printers though the paper setting for both printer is A4.
Plz suggest me how to solve it.
    Thanks

    Hi Pari ,
Priprinted format are printer dependent , driver dependdent , however page size is same , the format will change .
So every time u change the printer u have to make the settings again .
Every [printer have there own settings like to margin , bottom margion , where the printer start to print and others lot .

  • PLD Layouts - Identifying which are default for specified users

    Hi Experts,
We have around 30 invoice layouts - we are in the process of deleting the older obsolete layouts.
However, some them are set as default layouts for specifc users.  I was hoping to write a query to identify layouts and which users have them set as default.
The layout header table is RDOC.  Which tables contain the list of users assigned to each layout?
    Thanks
    Greig

The table where this information is stored is RDFL
    SELECT DoumntDode, UserId, DfltReport, CardCode
    FROM [dbo].[RDFL]
    Sample data
    DoumntDode      UserId       DfltReport   CardCode
    JDT7              12           JDT70003        -1
    RDR1              -1           RDR10003        C20000
    DoumntDode = RDOC.DocCode
UserId = OUSR.UserId..........................-1 indicates all users
similarly if CardCode has -1 then specific users all BP's

  • Outputting values in PLD

    Hi
I am trying to change the PLD layout of the default Tax Report in SBO so it meets the spanish standards.  My problem is extracting the values i require to specific fields in the layout - as the default layout considers it as a default.  I am certain that I have to use an IF statement here (something that doesn't exist in the PLD) and have tried working around it and been unsucessful.  I hope some may be able to help me extract these values from the one variable.
    regards
    Vivek

    Hi Vivek
I hope that this will help U
    suppose u want to check
    if  A = B then C else D
1).  Create a field which displays A (say field ID is 50)
2).  Create a field which displays B (say field Id is 51)
3).  Create a formula field which equals fields 50 and 51 (say field Id is 52)
4).  Create a field which displays C (say field id 53) and link it to field with ID 52 so that if field 50 is equal to field 51 then field 53 will be displayed
5).  Create a formula field with formula 'fields 50 not equal to field 51' (say field Id is 54)
6).  Create a field which displays D (say field id 55) and link it to field with ID 54 so that if field 50 is not equal to field 51 then field 55 will be displayed

  • Print Layout Designer or Crystal.....! What to do?

    Dear All,
We need to link our User forms to Print layouts in order to make our reports work exactly the way SAP reports work. Is there a way to enable the print and print preview toolbar buttons and make them show our Report Layout? So far the response from SDK Forum is not encouraging and many questions regarding the same issue remain unanswered there.
After looking for the solution in the SDK Forums we came across these two replies from Mr. Nick He and Mr.Frank Moebius. Both are of the opinion that currently SAP does not offer a support for this feature and better use a third party tool. We are not in a position right now to opt for any third party tool but if we get a clear response from your side regarding this matter, we can go for it. Kindly have a look at the following links:
Re: Print Layout  Design for user form in SapBusinessOne2005A(6.80.317) sp:01.?
Re: Add PLD Layouts in 2005 through sdk
The recommended solution within SAP B1 to develop Add-on reports is through User Queries and creating a Print Layout and run them via Query Manager Window. This approach in our view has the following drawbacks that make it less friendly with the end user:
    1. Add-on forms appear in the left pane/menu, whereas reports would have to run through Query Manager only, which is in fact a small toolbar button on the top right side. We can add the Query Manager link to user menu but it doesn’t solve the problem.
    2. A user with full authorization over the Print Layout can accidentally overwrite it by clicking the Create Report Button, whereas in case of SAP Reports the Layouts remain unchanged and only saved as a new Layout and set as Default Layout for a report. Add-on Reports cannot do this.
    3. Different behavior of Layouts in Query Manager on Single Click and Double Click. In the Query Manager, if a user just selects a query by a Single Click and views a Print Preview (Layout) then the custom user Layout appears. But if a user Double clicks a query then the Query Window appears, exposing the query and making it editable. Also the Preview(Layout) is different in this case. The user can either view the Window or Table Layout in this case. Hence this exercise would make the user confused and prone to errors.
    4. The Parameter/Criteria window that is SAP generated is not enough to fulfill user friendly interface requirements. Is there a way to add List boxes or Combos to that form. The parameter selection Checkboxes also behave in a strange way that even the experts find difficult to manipulate. If they are of no use, what’s the point in having them on the form in the first place.
All these points are leading us to confusion over the decision as to whether go for Query Based Reports or use Third Party tools. Kindly help us out in this regard. Your response would help us save some valuable time for our Add-on Development.

<<< If there is a solution then it has to be from SDK. We can only opt for third party components and frameworks only if any of the SAP representatives ensure us that the current version of SDK does not offer such support.>>>
The answer to that is to lodge your query as an Issue to SAP directly as a support question or go through your local SAP representative. If the functionality is not offered by SAP you can do a Development Request ( DRQ) and SAP will develop it if they think it will become userful.
<<<If this Forum is not meant to be answered by SAP representatives then kindly tell me any other Technical Support Portal from where i can get the answer directly. >>>
This forum is accessed mostly by SAP Business One Developers on SDK. However we are fortunate that some SAP employees who are very knowledgeble take some time off to answer queries.
Since it is a Forum, no one is obliged to answer. As indicated above , Try SAP directly if you need a definite answer.
    <<<>>>
Since you mentioned Crystal: We as SAP Business One SDK developers, have come across similar issues and opted for a Inhouse developed Crystal Solution. It has been so popular we are selling it as a Generic add-on to B1.

    Indika.

  • Import Crystal Reports Dunning letter as SAP Business One layout

    Hello,
I have created a dunning letter in Crystal Reports. I want to import this layout as a layout (not a report) in Business One.
Problem is that I don't know the parameters in the report so I can import the layout between the standard PLD layouts (like Dunning 1, dunning 2 dunning 3 dunning all etc). I tried a few but import fails everytime. You also don't get any errormessage when the layout cannot be imported.
Anybody knows what parameters to use in this report? Thanks.
    Regards Thijs

    Hello Gordon/ Rahul,
    Thanks for yor reply.
I already created a Crystal report that runs as a report. In this case you select the WizardName and the report will give an output of all dunning letters in this report.
Unfortunately it is not possible to import this report because when I do that I only get the error that SAP Business One couldn't import the layout. EXporting a layout is af course not possible because only PLD layouts are available in dunning.
