Spend analysis reports

Hi Gurus,
I need your help.
Is there any way in Std SAP via which I can draw a report on spend analysis?
ROH materials are classified into several material groups. Each material group is further divided into multiple layers of spend categories. If I want to pull up a report on a particular level of spend, what should I do?

    Hi Team,
    Does anyone have any prior experience creating SRM Global Spend Analysis Report in BI 7.0.
    I couldnt find the data source in SRM for Global Spend report, but I have the Infoobjects and cube from BI Content. Can anyone provide a step by step instruction on how to create this report in BI. Do I need to create Custom Datasources?
    I am using SRM 5.0 and BI 7.0 with support pack 10.

    I don't think you need to create custom datasource, as all the information is available in the system.
    I have not tried this ever. Here are few details, which might help.

    <u>Accurate spend information helps you to optimize your supply base and, by indicating potential for demand aggregation across business units, enables you to control your procurement cost and negotiate better contracts with your suppliers. Global Spend Analysis now uses mapping information provided by SAP Content Integrator. The category mapping functions of SAP Content Integrator allow you to map products and categories to a standard category hierarchy (or schema). This could be an internal customer-defined schema or an external one, such as eCl@ss or UN/SPSC. Grouped key mapping for partner data delivers information on identical suppliers, which appear under separate IDs in the procurement systems. Both kinds of key mapping information are made available to SAP BW. The consolidated InfoObject technology in SAP BW then enables unified reporting across diverse master data entities in a heterogeneous system landscape, based on the mapping information delivered by the SAP Content Integrator. For mySAP SRM 3.0, the data extraction tools of MDM, which feed the master data into SAP Content Integrator, only support SAP R/3 systems. Therefore, the global spend scenario in combination with SAP Content Integrator only provides an out-of-the-box solution for mySAP SRM’s classic scenario.</u>

  • Vendor spend analysis report from ECC as source system

    Hi Experts,
    Currently am working on Functional Specification on a BI report "Vendor Spend Analysis".The source system is ECC.This report should give details about how much the company has spend on a vendor during a particular period along with payment terms , payment term days .
      I have started with Datasource 0FI_AP_4.Please let me know which field(credit or debit field) in the Datasource gives amount spend.I have checked the table EKKO and BSAK .What are the other fields and table i have to take into consideration.Suggest...

  • Customer Spend Analysis Reporting - Design Ideas?

    Hello fellow BW users, this is my first post which I have decided to write because of my inability to find any related information.
    I am currently working as a business process analyst in BW and I am having trouble with one of our more complicated reports. I will outline the basic components needed for this report and would like to hear from anyone who has seen a similar requirment working, as I think our current model is not optimal (requires a massive routine).
    The business requirement is to report on Cost Elements broken down by Billing Conditions. This is used to create a so call Customer Spend Waterfall (CSW) report that shows the cost element breakdown from Gross Sales -> Net Trade Sales.
    The cost element breakdown is easily done with the standard CO/PA extract however this does not contain the billing condition information that is required in the CSW.
    In SD there is a 2LIS_13_VDKON billing condition extractor that we are using, however the problem with using SD information is that it does not necessarily tie up with the G/L postings and ultimatley this is where the correct financial info comes from.
    The main reason why the data from SD does not match G/L is due to rebate adjustments. In SD the changes made from rebate adjustments simply overwrite in the original period that the invoice was created. In accounting that period is closed so the small adjustments get posted into the open period thus distorting the values when view on a monthly basis.
    At the moment we are using a very large start routine in the Billing Condition ODS and attempting to move the adjustments into the correct financial period by writing them into a Z-table but this is proving very problematic.
    If anybody has seen this kind of thing before would like to hear your thoughts, about how to successfully align SD data with CO/PA.

  • BI/BO necessary for Global Spend Analysis? PI necessary for syndication?

    Hi! I have been reading about MDM and examples of how MDM can be used by companies. One is on its ability to provide accurate and consolidated data for spend analysis. I would like to find out whether the spend analysis solution is only applicable for BI/BO. What if the company does not have BI/BO? What examples of other reporting tools are available for spend analysis reporting?
    Also, PI is mentioned to be needed for data extraction from remote system to be loaded into MDM. Similarly, it is needed for the syndication back to the remote system. May I find out whether PI can be replaced by another middleware such as BizTalk?
    Appreciate any clarification on the above.

    Reporting solutions will work for other reporting tools also. MDM will provide accurate Master data.
    Need of PI?? - MDM accept and syndicate data in form of .xml, flat file (Refer reference guides). PI is helpful to for data transfer as well as monitoring capabilities are also good. I am not sure about BIZTalk's capability to integrate with system's you have in current lanscape. If it is there then you can utilise Biztalk also.

  • BW Report to display whole spend analysis

    Hello Experts - My client wants to display and analyze whole spend analysis. Request is to include invoices booked on Purchase Orders and invoices directly booked on Cost centers. I know we can get the Purchase order invoice information from the cube 0PUR_C01 cube and I am not sure how to get the invoice information directly booked in FI. Are there any standard business content objects available. Appreciate your help.

    Is anyone aware of a report for vendor spend analysis which will include other information  such as cost centres and invoice numbers?

    Vendor is not relevant for cost centers. He is only relevant for profict center. I don't think standard R3  is capable of this.

  • Spend Analysis for Commodity Code in ECC6

    Hi,
    I wonder if there is any way for spend analysis references to commodity code in SAP R3 as we are not using SAP SRM?
    If there is any option in ECC6 then;
    a) Which field/view maintained for Commodity code at Material Master?
    b) Which field maintained for Commodity code at /PO/Contract/RFQ/Purchase Requisition (Header level or item level)?
    c) How spend analysis can be reported based on commodity code? (Standard report, Z custom report, BI report)

    Hi,
    These are the reports available in ECC for Commodity wise reporting. Regarding once maintained in material master, how far these serve your purpose you can test.
    MC.3 This report will help you in getting the information on the inventory turn over ratio by Commodity.
    MC45 This report identifies the share of the usage value to the total usage. You can also see the report graphically for a selected material in detail screen.
    MCE5 This program will give you information on purchase value, invoice value during a selected period. However for these reports it is necessary to update the relevant LIS structure.
    MCEC This report can be used for Purchase budget requirement. However for this report to work, long term planning functionality should be put in use.

    If you want to see the out of box dashboards and reports for Procurement and Spend, then you can look at Product Guide, it lists all the dashboards and sample reports. However product guide is not available via Metalink3 or oracle site, you can try requesting it via your account representative for Oracle.

    Hi Syed,
    I agree with Waman comments and would like to add few more points to it.
    As you may already know, IT systems are divided into OLTP and OLAP. SAP ERP falls into OLTP which is live. and BI falls into OLAP which is historical.
    Though you are not using COPA for forecasting and planning purposed I don't think you can completely eliminate it.
    More over as as Waman said, You can't use COPA only for reporting purposed without posting to it first.

  • Purchase Analysis Report

    Hi Experts
    When I Run Purchase analysis report in SAP Business One 8.8 under individual vendor view the Open A/P Invoice (not done Payment) sowing 0.00 in the Applied amount and the purchase amount is showing negative value bacuse it is a credit memo - which is correct.
    But when I run the same report in my customer site who are running SAP B1 2005 PL 43, they are not seeing 0.00 in the applied amount instead they are seeing the same negative amount which is displayed in the purchase amount.which is not correct.
    Please assist me

  • Sales Analysis Report - Items -- blank result

    Hi,
    I'm testing a setup and running the sales analysis report. It works for the Customer version but I get no results when running on Items.
    I'm on SBO 2007A SP01 PL07. There are open and closed invoices for inventory items; no credit memos have been posted. All Item type invoices.
    When I run by Customer, I get the correct data - open and closed invoices for that customer.
    When I run by Items, I get no results. The date range is the same for both reports.
    When I run the purchase analysis on Items, I get data for the same items I am trying to see in the sales analysis.
    Any ideas what could be causing this?

    HI Gordon,
    I left the default settings: 
    - Annual Report, Invoices, Individual Display, No Totals
    - Posting Date:  whole fiscal year
    - Main selection:  left blank/default (group = all, no properties)
    I have double/triple/quadruple-check even the Secondary SElection to make sure there's nothing there.
    I have also run it on Due Date instead of Posting Date, still no results (if run on Items).
    As I mentioned, the selection criteria is what I want but for some reason that one version, Items, does not work. The other 2 tabs work with the same selection.
