Splash screen image

How do I change the splash screen image in Photoshop elements and premiere elements.

Thanks for the replies...
I wasn't sure how a loader class would know if the image was loaded, since media tracker seemed to think that it was already loaded.
I hadn't considered the AWT since sun usually pushes swing and "lightweight" components. but a quick search found an AWT splash screen implementation that solved my problem. In the code they use media tracker also.

  • App builder keeps hanging after splash screen images added

After I upload all my splash screens for SD and HD, I cannot proceed to the next screen.
There are green checks next to HD and SD, and all looks good.
I have not uploaded any fonts as there is no HTML in the app.
I have deleted and re-downloaded the app builder and still get the same behavior.

The problem was that one of the images had a resolution of 72.09 instead of an even 72. after I changed it it worked. Thanks.

  • Splash screen image location

Where is the Photoshop CS6 splash screen PNG image located on Mac OS X?

If you just want the image, why don't you search for 'adobe photoshop splash image cs6' in Google images?
If you're looking at altering it (which I'm unsure is against EULA and Copyrights), you'll need a resource editor such as 'ResKnife' with which you have to open up
    /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Resources/Adobe Photoshop CS6.rsrc
Look for 'SplashBackground', select it and export it as .png on your system.
DISCLAIMER: Misuse of .rsrc file will cause your PS to crash/ not open. I'm really not sure if editing the SplashScreen is legal. I take no responsibility for any loss/ damage to your system that may result in doing this! Do it at your own risk (technical & legal)!

  • Splash screen image loads too slowly

I am displaying a splash screen (JWindow with just a JLabel containing an ImageIcon) The problem is that a blank (sold gray) window pops up, but the image isn't displayed immediately. so sometimes the application opens (covering the splash screen) before the image is shown.
MediaTracker doesn't seem to help, it seems to return from waitForID() immediately.

  • Image on the form for splash screen

    Hi there,
How can I replace an existing image with a new one on my splash screen. Here's what I mean by this:
I have a form which already has a splash screen logo. This logo will be replaced with a new one. The existing logo is attached as an image in the form of a .tiff file. There are no triggers on the form excepting a "when new form instance" which just says "SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,TITLE,'ABC').
How can I ensure that the old logo is replaced with a new one.
Here's what I did to replace, i.e my trouble shooting steps:
a)opened the form and deleted the existing splash screen/.tif file
b)went into the layout editor and clicked on "EDIT-> IMPORT" and mapped it to the .tif file that's persent in the local directory. As soon as I click OK, I get the following message :
FORMS-VGS-507- Cannot open file or file not in specified format.
Could any one help me out with this problem or can any one give me a better solution.
    Thanks in advance

Are you talking about changing the splash screen when the Oracle Jinitiator loads? If so, this is controlled by the "base.htm" file in the /%FORMS_HOME%/forms/server directory (Windows and UNIX). If so, check out the [Oracle® Application Server Forms Services Deployment Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_04/doc/dl/web/B14032_03/toc.htm], section [4.3.4.4 Applet or Object Parameters | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_04/doc/dl/web/B14032_03/configure003.htm#i1077074]. These links are for Forms 11g and 10g. If you are using an older, go to the [Oracle Forms Developer and Forms Services Documenation | http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/forms.html] to choose the right version and then select the Forms Services Deployment Guide. The "*splashScreen*" parameter in the base.htm file controls which image file is displayed as the splashscreen.
If this is not the splash screen image you are talking about, please provide more information about your situation so we can better help you.
    Hope this helps.

  • Want to hide or mod FCP 6 Splash Screen

Just want to hide the splash screen on my FCP system. I rent it to indy projects and I want to protect my serial. How can I access the Splash Screen Image? I've been able to mod the splash screen on all the other apps on the rental system but can not find or get to the Splash Screen for Color and FCP 6. I know that a real hacker can find my serial some how but I am not trying to block those geniuses. Just the lazy ones that are willing to go as far as copying or screen grabbing my Splash Screen and or About Screens to get a working serial. I know how to mod the Splash Screen to hide my serial and how to hide the app so the user can't get to the splash screen. I just don't know where the splash screen file is. I've read that it is in the .nib files? I just wanna hide my serial. Don't care if I mod it myself or install an app that does it for me. Any apple people or anyone else know what I can do to protect my product. I've also been told that the splash screen does not display the full serial but it soo totally does. Hey apple, please add the ability to hide this splash screen. Perhaps with it's own password to unlock and show again? OR, make splash screen hiding a universal ability in the OS. That would be sweet! Anyway,... ideas?

Hey all. I have been able to mod the splash screen on all the apps in FCP Studio 2 except for FCP and Color. The other studio apps Splash Screens access a .psd file. The only files I've found in Color that seem like they might be the splash screen files are ft_splash.Isi, ft_splashEDU.Isi, ft_splashNFR.Isi and ft_splashVOL.Isi
How do I open a .Isi file? If I can figure that out I can hide the serial number for Color but it still leaves FCP. Why do apps show the serial on the splash screen at all? What purpose does this serve?

  • Splash screen behavior

I'm unclear on the behavior of the "splash" screen in a custom viewer. I understand that for a single issue app, the splash screen image appears every time that you run the app, regardless of where you left off reading the app last.
But for multi-issue apps, te splash screen seems to "come and go". I've noticed that it appears the first time that you run the app, and then once in a blue moon after that. But it doesn't appear each time you actually read an issue within the app.
Can anyone tell me what the behavior of the splash screen is supposed to be for a multi-issue app?
What I really want is the ability to have a splash screen image that ALWAYS appears when you enter any issue in a multi issue app. In other words, I want the reader to see our corporate branding every time they read or re-read each issue of a multi-issue app.
Second question: is it on the future roadmap to allow animation or video in this "splash" screen image?

The splash screen appears for 2 or 3 seconds whenever the app needs to be loaded. If the app is stored in the device's memory, the splash screen doesn't appear. On the iPad, you can get double-tap the Home button to display the app tray and then remove the app from the tray (tap and hold, delete). When you start the app again, the splash screen appears. I'm not aware of a way to get the splash screen to appear even if the app is loaded into the device's memory.

  • Re: Viewer Builder Icon and Splash Screen

I entered all the icons and splash screens in the Viewer Builder.  Top of screen says "all icons and splash screen images for ipad SD are complete".  However, when I hit the NEXT button, nothing happens.  I did not enter an optional Fonts Zip for HTML file.  Is this why I cannot move on to Provisioning?

For this reason and for comfort, I made a photoshop template where you can
put in your illustrator, that generates all icons at once.

  • Splash Screen Inconsistent between CLI and JAR specification

Unlike just about any other java API, the SplashScreen API treats jar-launched and command-line-launched invocations of the same code differently
According to [the Splash Screen Tutorial|http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/misc/splashscreen.html]
a command-line invocation of a Splash Screen application would take the form
    java -splash:images/splash.gif SplashDemo
whereas a jar-invocation would allow the splash screen to be specified in the jar manifest with the notation
    SplashScreen-Image: images/splash.gif
This doesn't APPEAR to be inconsistent but the implementation is in fact not consistent.
In the jar-manifest approach the splash screen image is searched relative to the classpath implied by the JAR whereas the command-line version is searched relative to the current working directory. The documentation fails to explain this leading to lots of headscratching when, for example, a Splash Screen works right in a runnable jar but not from an IDE such as Eclipse. If, instead, the image was loaded relative to the classpath (getResource()) then the jar and the command line would work the same.
At the very least, there should be an additional command line switch supporting this classpath-based loading functionality from the command line or failing that, better documentation of what is going on. Neither the tutorial nor the javadoc explains the CLI syntax sufficiently. I spent several hours of headscratching trying to understand this and I'm by no means a newbie.

As long as it works in the field. In fact, I would probably build in a way to disable the splash screen when running from the IDE myself - apparently it isn't even needed to do any work to make that happen ;)

Complaining about documentation here isn't going to do you much good. There's lots of confusion about this on the internet. Just google it. I didn't find anything that gave me the answer, just references to Oracle's documentation which doesn't answer the confusion. That's now been remedied, though, by me:

I thank you for your contribution. It is exactly this personal effort that keeps the Java community going...

Oracle really should do something about this.... because Oracle certainly will not. Again: complaining in this forum does nothing. Because like StackOverflow this is a user to user forum, not an Oracle tech support site. It won't be read and it won't end up on a todo list. Sad but true.

  • IOS launch screen / splash screen shift

    Hi All,
I've implemented launch screen images, including [email protected], and am testing on an iPhone 4.
When I disable my splash screen (i.e. I don't set the app's splashScreenImage prop) the launch image displays briefly, then I get a blank white screen for multiple seconds while my app loads.
If I enable the splash screen, like this...
         splashScreenImage = "@Embed('[email protected]')"
the app displays the image continuously, first as iPhone launch screen, then as AIR splash screen, but when it switches from launch screen to splash screen the image is displayed about 19 pixels lower than it was when displayed as launch screen.
This happens with splashScreenScaleMode set to both "stretch" and "zoom".
I can provide two different images, instead of using the same image, and make most of the shift invisible to the user, but there are two problems with this approach:
It's obviously kludgy. It would be nice if this just worked.
I'm fairly sure that even if I get this to look good on iPhone 4, it will look bad on iPhone 5, and vice-versa. If we could use different splash screen images for 4 and 5 we could kludge a fix that way, but I don't believe that that's possible.
    Two questions:
    Any suggestions?
Should I report this as a bug?
    Thanks,
    Douglas

    Hi Colin,
    > Might be worth doing a trace of the scale mode, just out of curiosity.
I've done some googling and set a few breakpoints - all indicate that Flex apps have a default scale mode of NO_SCALE.
If I could configure my app to use SHOW_ALL immediately at startup, that might solve the spash screen problem. I could then change the mode back to NO_SCALE in my app's preInitialize handler, which I'd probably want to do as SHOW_ALL would probably be problematic when the app started to display.
That would be an interesting experiment, but I don't see any way to configure a Flex app to begin with any scale mode other than the default, so I'm at a dead end there.
I don't fully understand what you're suggesting re using a SWC. Looks like we're running up against the Flex-nonFlex divide.
    > I don't know how Flex users solve the problem of getting the stage to be in a particular state right away.
We let the framework handle this for us, and don't think about it, which is great, until it isn't.
Or, to put it another way, I think that we may not have much control over this in a Flex app.
I'm imagining a possible strategy of creating a non-Flex AIR app and having it load my Flex SWF, but I'm not sure it's a good investment of my time to research/attempt this. For one thing I'm not _sure_ that I'll have a problem on iPhone 5. I'll find some way to test this, and postpone worrying about this until I'm sure that I actually have a problem.
But thanks a lot for all your input - this(scale mode, etc) is good stuff to be aware of.

  • (Landscape) Splash screen on mobile not sizing properly when device is held in Portrait

I have a mobile project (AIR) for iPad and iPhone that has landscape splash screens when the user taps the icon. However, when the user is holding the device in portrait mode, the splash screen image opens and resizes a landscape image to show in portrait mode. It really looks bad too! I have only provided landscape images. Do anyone know what is happening here?

Does your app support portrait? If so, you should be providing the necessary portrait icons.
If not, you should be restricting your apps orientation. An event is fired off upon orientation change giving you a chance to control it:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/events/StageOrien tationEvent.html
In my landscape-only apps it's specified in the app XML and then I simply listen for changes. e.g.
    // listen for orientation change
    stage.addEventListener(StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGING, _orientationChangeHandler);
// neglect any orientation change that isn't landscape
    function _orientationChangeHandler(e:StageOrientationEvent):void
      if (e.afterOrientation == StageOrientation.DEFAULT || e.afterOrientation == StageOrientation.UPSIDE_DOWN)
      e.preventDefault();
Although this may not even be necessary anymore, the XML should really allow orientation specification limits just like device limits. That code allows the user to use landscape or landscape upside down (Apple requires this) and neglects portrait or portrait upside down.

  • Splash screen always messes up on iPhone 5. Must fix so I can submit to the App Store.

When I start my app on the iPhone 5, the propper [email protected] splash screen shows for a bit and it looks great, but then it changes its mind after a moment and shows the 'legacy' [email protected] one which makes the splash screen look stretched and jarring and unacceptable for being downloaded from the App Store. This seems extremely bizzare for it to hop between splash screens.
Why does it do this? How can I get the splash screen to not be messed up so I can submit it to the App Store?
Perhaps there is an actual proper way to explicitly say it supports the iPhone 5 extra screen space in the plist manifest rather than just adding the png that would fix this?
Since existing AIR apps are broken in iOS 6/iPhone 5, it is important for me to fix this and get the app updated as soon as possible.

So I just installed AIR 3.5 Beta and SDK for FlashBuilder 4.6. I dropped the splash screen images, [email protected], [email protected], and Default.png in the root of the src folder. I then tested it on an iPhone 4S and while it loads the correct splash screen, [email protected], there is an all white screen in between the time the splash screen disappears and the main application screen loads. It lasts for maybe 2 seconds - defintely noticeable. I am not sure if this previously occurred as I was using a dynamic splash screen based upon DPI, 320 or 160. I assumed that this new method would be an easier route to go since both the 4S and 5 have roughly the same DPI.
I don't have an iPhone 5 to test it on.
    Thanks.

  • Splash Screen 1024x768 versus 1024x748

Dear developers....I am making an Ipad app.  When I used the 1024x748 dimensions (as apple states for the splash screen image) for the Default-Landscape file, the screen shifts twice vertically.  Adobe suggests using the 1024x768 dimensions......this works perfectly.....will apple accept this size for the splash screen image...or will the app be rejected?  Thank you,
    Justin

Thanks Colin....1024x768 works wonderfully thus far....no luck with 1024x748 (kept shifting...actually shifted twice before the launch of the app (ad hoc)).  I will do the same for the retina display (2048x1536).
This is the first app I will be publishing to the app store/google play and it really is an exciting phase to see something come to life after almost 18 months of effort (part time only).

  • How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dream

How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dreamweaver 6, 5.5 had the mobile application setting that is seemingly no longer present? and i also heard you can use animanted backgrounds on the mobile application in dreamweaver 6 but figuring out how to set the splash screen and application image like it was in 5.5 would be nice. All i can get to pull up is the web application i developed i am trying to build into a phone app on google chrome, if i could officially designate it as a phone app where i can set each splash screen and app image to where it is recognized as a phone app that would be really nice.

Duely noted, the server will still not connect, so i have left an inquery in the suggested forum.

One suggestion that I've heard is that there has been unexpectedly high demand on the server since the launch of Edge Tools and Services as part of the Creative Cloud last month. As far as I know, the only thing you can do is wait, and try again later. You could also try posting in the PhoneGap Build forum: http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/products/nitobi_phonegap_build.
