Spot chanel white not visible in ai when psd file is placed (CS6)

TIA for the help.
Hopefully somebody here can point me in the right direction. My appologies if this was covered already, but I've searched left and right without any luck.
We use spot channels in PS and as of CS5 have to print out of Illustrator in order to adjust the lpi and angles (for printing film positives).
Since upgrading to CS6 the white is not showing in the Illustrator any more and it seems that the rest of the colors are very translucent.
Turning on the overprint preview does not make any difference and there is no option to change the color to a "spot color" they show as RGB.
To tyr to clarify:
creat a blank document in Photoshop
creat new channel
change the channel to spot color and assign CoolGray1
draw or type anything directly into the channel
turn off all the layers and RGB channels
save and place in Illustrator
create black bacground and move the image on top of it.
the gray square is just about visible.
If a white ink was used, it would not be visible at all.

Select the placed psd in Illustrator
Check "Isolate Blending" on the Transparency Panel...

    I'm using Photoshop CS6 and something happent a few days ago....some Windows or Adobe update messed up everything...I don't know...
    Here's how things are.
    If I add to an image a couple of new spot channels (any Pantone color) and remove the informations from the CMYK channels (or not-the problem it's there anyway), I should have an image with 6 color plates (CMYK and the 2 Pantone). It doesn't happened anymore...
    I'm using Corel to print the files and the previous saved files are fine, I have all the Spot colors there. Now, If I edit any file I've worked on before, and save it again, the spot colors dissapear when I'm importing the psd file in my Corel document. And if there is no information on the CMYK channels, I'm getting a blank image...
    I hope someone will give me some ideas because I don't know what to do anymore...

    Right. It's not reading these new saved files correctly. The old ones are fine.
    I forgot to mention one thing. I've got this CS6 as an upgrade and I still have the CS5 one running on the same computer. The CS5 version does the same thing...
    Today I tryed again to open a PSD (CS6) with another CS5 version from another computer and came with an error message "Could not complete your request because the specified color book cannot be found". And the file didn't opened....
    Who messed up my color book and how can I fix it?

What can be done so that I can either open and see the layers or how can the sender save it in a way that it doesn't "merge" the layers in some way to just one?

    Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.

    We are implementing SAP SNC 7.0 and started small testing's.
    When one supplier location(each individually) is assigned to Supplier org BP, PO is visible in WEBUI.
    When two supplier location is assigned to one supplier org BP, PO is not visible and message says"Order not found for the selection"
    Whereas when i go to SMI details, it shows data for both supplier location in WEBUI.
    Their is no visibility of POand demand.

    You have created PO when one supplier location(each individually) is assigned to Supplier org BP.
    In Purchase order Supplier field=<Supplier BP Org> so when two supplier location is assigned to one supplier org BP you have removed supplier BP org for which you have created Purchase order and this is the reason why it is not visible.
    Eaxmple:
    Supplier1:10000
    Supplier2:20000
    Case 1)when one supplier location(each individually) is assigned to Supplier org BP
    say Supplier1:10000 is assigned to supplier Org BP=10000
    say Supplier2:20000 is assigned to supplier Org BP=20000
    and you have created Purchase order 45000001 for supplier 10000.
    Case 2) when two supplier location is assigned to one supplier org BP
    say Supplier1:10000 and Supplier2:20000  is assigned to supplier Org BP=20000
    or
    supplier Org BP=30000 then you won't be able to see purchase order in SNC web UI as when you have created purchase order supplier BP org was 10000 and now it is 30000 or 20000.

    I am using the Out of the box dialog participant step in my workflow. I have created a dialog and using in the dialog participant step. When i start the workflow, the dialog is only available/visible when I complete the task from inbox and not visible when completing the task from sidekick.

    Cant you use operating system command option ?
    Like,,,, checking whether the particular file exists, if not create a blank file or new file with a different predefined content using Operating System Command option (using scripts or soemthing). and creating a separate file-mail scenario for this new file

  • Aperture not recognizing all saved & layered PSD files.

    I have Aperture set to save PSD files. When I go to import my PSD's many of them but not all appear blacked out. When I actually try to import these files and view them in Aperture they are still black.
    Any suggestions?

    Meaning you are previewing in the Finder?
    That is possibly because you have an Alpha channel in the file.
    If you learn to use Bridge CS4, instead of using the Finder, you won't have this problem.

    Check what is the frequency of the file coming to the application server.
    Schedule your program in SM36 giving data and time make it periodic . select the check box Periodic Job
    and then select the period values and give the period values as per the frequency of the file coming to app server.

    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Notebook not showing the typing. Try looking at this Youtube Video.
    If that did not fix it, here is a link to Adjusting TouchPad or ClickPad pointing sensitivities in Windows 8. At the bottom you will see restore defaults click that. Then restart the Notebook.
    You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook or when the issue started.
    When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

  • Bootable ISO images not visible in PCD when doing Migration Task

    We are looking to move from CUCM 8.6 to CUCM 10.0 using Prime Collaboration Deployment. We have the full 10.0 media for CUCM and IMP. We created an ISO image of each and uploaded them to the /fresh_install directory on the PCD server. When creating a migration task in PCD, when we get to the point to select an image and click Browse, nothing is there. We also tried downloading the bootable 10.5 media from PUT. After uploading that media, this was visible, but the 10.0 image we made from the original CD was not.
    It appears PCD is doing some sort of validation check against the ISO. What can we do to ensure we create a valid image from the Disc so PCD can see it?

    Say, in the log I found this: The given directory was located and searched but no valid options or upgrades were available. Note, the system cannot be downgraded so option and upgrade files for previous releases were ignored.
    But this does not clarify the question.

  • Interfaces not visible in 'Operator' when executed with 'Remote Agent'

    Hi,
    I am new to ODI, and have an issue with running Interfaces/Packages with a Remote Agent.+
    I have setup an agent on the machine on which the Database is installed. I have created a Physical Agent with the details, and on using the 'Test' button in the client, it works fine.
    However, when i try an execute a package with this agent, i get the 'Session Started' pop up, but the interface does not register in the 'Operator' section, and nothing happens.+
    However, this does not happen when i use the 'Local (No Agent)', and the interface runs successfully and is registered in the 'Operator'.+
    I just get this error under the 'Physical Agents' tree in the 'Operator' section for the interface - "ODI-1266: Agent agent_apo13110026 detected Session as stale session and set to error status"
    Would appreciate any inputs.

    Thank you for your response.
    We have actuall just migrated the from DEV to TEST. But in DEV we were only using the local agent, and we have configured the new standalone agent only in TEST.
    The way the migration was done, was that we exported the Master and Work Rep from DEV, and then imported it into TEST.
    Could this have had any impact, and would appreciate any pointers on how i can check if indeed the Agent is interacting with the wrong repository.

  • Graphs / Images not visible in Excel when exported from BI Publisher

    When attempting to view a report containing a graph in Excel format from BI Publisher, if you select the View button, the graph image is successfully rendered on the Excel report page.
    When selecting the Export button, however, the image is not successfully rendered, and an image placeholder is substituted on the report.
    I have changed the web.xml file setting on the server under:
    C:\oracle\bise1\bi\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\web.xml
    Here I changed the SecurityFilter Filter Mapping
    from:
    <url-pattern>/xdo/tmp/*</url-pattern>
    to:
    <url-pattern>/xdo/tmp/*.tmp</url-pattern>
    This was successful in facilitating image rendering in Excel in the first place, but not when the Export button is used.
    Note: BIP Version is 10.1.3.2.1
    Excel Version is Excel 2007
    Any assistance with this will be most appreciated.

    I had similar kind of problem and see below for details.
    I am using Vertical bar charts in my RTF Tempalte and output format is EXCEL. When i am prevewing from BI Publisher desktop output it is showing the charts . When i Used same template and running in the server side(i.e oracle applications concurrent manager ) it is not showing the charts in the output. If i run the same template through oracle applications concurrent manager with PDF output it is showing charts in the output.
    Please share your thoughts/experiences/suggesition regarding this.

  • Nano 3rd will not unlock and is not visible in iTunes when connected to computer.

    My 3rd Gen Nano is stuck in locked position with the screen lit.  Additionally it does not show up on the computer or in iTunes when connected.  I can't restart or repair myself.  I suspect the locked switch may be broken.  Any ideas?

    First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are.
    Still no joy? See these.
    iPod doesn't appear in iTunes or on the Mac desktop.
    iPod does not appear in iPod Updater or iTunes in Mac OS X.
    iPod appears on the Mac OS X desktop but not in iTunes.
    Try it in disk mode.

  • SWF linked by reference in FM does not update in RH when FM files are updated

    Hi all, using TCS2 on WindowsXP.
    I have a FM book with a Captivate SWF linked by reference. When I link my FM book into RH, all works nicely. But here's the catch - when I change something in my Cativate project and re-publish the swf (to update the old swf), although the FM SWF updates to the new one, RH does not. The SWF found in RH is the one from the original instance of linking the FM book.  This is an issue as it seems to be hampering my 'single sourcing' world.
    Any thoughts?

    Are you able to just delete the SWF from RoboHelp? I'm thinking that if you could do that, the SWF would simply have to update from FM as it wouldn't be found any longer.
    I do realize it's a kludge and things should simply just *WORK*, but we do live in an imperfect world.
