Spot Color change to black using javascript?

Can anyone help to convert spot color to Black using Javascript in Adobe Acrobat?

Ok,
try Action wizard in Acrobat and set below script to execute however you are watching a folder for PDF files.
var doc=app.activeDocument;
var pdfSaveOptions = new PDFSaveOptions();
pdfSaveOptions.pDFXStandard=PDFXStandard.PDFX1A2001;
pdfSaveOptions.compatibility = PDFCompatibility.ACROBAT4;
pdfSaveOptions.preserveEditability = false;
var pdfFile = new File(Folder.desktop + "/test.pdf");
doc.saveAs(pdfFile, pdfSaveOptions);
Hope this helps.
as you will be applying it on a folder, Put all your PDF files in that folder and it will automatically save as you wanted.

  • Yosemite load bar color changes / from black to white

    Hello there,
    is anyone experiencing the same as me?
    When booting my MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2012 the load bar color changes from black to white. The color change happens as the keyboard background lights turn on. After this I get to the login screen with the blurred desktop background image (seems normal)
    Video: https://vid.me/hOX
    (sorry for the vertical video)
    I know that the load bar is a feature of Yosemite, but not with the color changes.
    I did a clean install of OS X Yosemite with the AppStore download and the Diskmaker X Tool.
    Thanks for answers...

    No
    With a very advanced photo editor like PhotoShop and lots of skill you could do that
    It is certainly not a simple operation if it is just a B&W image with no color information

  • Text reflow when converting from rgb spot color to process black

    The setup that I'm using is a G5 Mac OSX, version 10.4.11. The InDesign application is CS3, version 5.0.3. The fonts are loaded into Extensis Font Reserve, server 1.7.4. The InDesign document has a text box using 2 different font sets. One set, Helvetica Neue, uses the rgb spot color. The other one, a mixed set of New Century Schoolbook, is used for a paragraph which is process black. When deleting the rgb spot color from the swatches and converting it to process black, the New Century Schoolbook reflows which had already been process black.
    If I just select the Helvetica Neue type and change that line to process black there is no reflow problem.
    When I tried this document on another Mac with the same set up there was no reflow. Is this an InDesign preference problem? Thanks

    If you change the color back and then back again, do you get more reflows?
    The reason I ask is that when InDesign opens a document, it holds the existing composition of stories until you apply any edit. So, it could be that what you're seeing here is that yours and your user's setups are different enough that reflow is inevitable the moment you edit the text, and changing the color counts as editing.

  • Change shape height using javascript

    Hi, is it possible to change e.g. the height of a Shape using javascript?

    I believe you can do this.
    Once you have the information (variables) that you want to display in the graph, call a javascript function.
    In this function it will ask the CP file for the variables you set:
         cp.cpEIGetValue("m_VarHandle.yourVariable Name");
    you'll have to write a loop to put all of the variable in an array.
    If you are using an LMS you can store and retreive the info there, if not you will have to write the array in a cookie.
    Build a webpage with just a graph. Have that page read the cookie and build the graph based on those variables. Insert the web page into Captivate using the Web Object.
    Worked for me in a simplified version. I also used this tutorial for the graph which is quite fancy (coding.smashingmagazine.com/2011/09/23/create-an-animated-bar-graph-with-html-css-and-jque ry/), there are other pages to build dynamic graphs though.

  • Spot color changes to white when exporting to eps or pdf

    It looked like part of the logo was disappearing, but discovered it was changing to white.
    Changing to cmyk meant it couldn't then be adjusted in the Ricoh.
    I did finally bring in a new pantone color, and changed the cmyk values, keeping it as a spot.
    But WHY did this happen in the first place? It was an old file we'd used many times before.

    Name of the color should not be a problem, you would get an error if you used an offending name.
    If this shape on a layer set to this
    And if your settings for print are NOT visible & PRINTABLE, then what you described would happen, even when saving a .pdf or .eps.
    Also let us know where you are not seeing your orange, in acrobat or where? Your seps preview set as below would cause what you described.

  • Want photo to print on spot color plate, not black

    Have black & violet 2-color job. Want one photo to print on violet plate, but I can't get it to change... Thanks L W

    Drag the swatch from the swatches panel and drop it on the photo. This
    will only work with a grayscale image with no transparency.
    FWIW, you'll get a better look if you open it in Photoshop and create a
    duotone there or use a mixed ink in InDesign.

  • Dynamic graphc changes in ES2 using Javascript

    Hi,
    We are in the process of making template documents which our 12 offices will use.
    What we initially wanted to do was have a graphic box and a dropdownlist on the front page which would allow the user to select their office and have the graphic change to their office logo. We did this initially with web links to the relevant files and it worked a treat but only on the PC which had ES2 installed.
    We then switched to having the graphics stacked one on op of each other and had the Javascript making them visible/invisible but this made the document huge and unweildly, so we shark the pictures as much as possible but now it seems to have stopped even turning the graphics on and off.
    We're all a bit confused now.
    Does anyone have a way to have dynamic graphics in a LiveCycle document.
    TIA
    John

    Hi John,
    Have a look at this example that shows a few approaches to working with images in a form: http://assure.ly/mcFrC6. Part of a collection of examples (http://assure.ly/ozrNSO).
    Hope that helps,

  • Why does the frame color change to black when I copy and paste between documents?

    Copying and pasting between documents in Indesign. The color of the text stays the same but the lines and frames change from a specified color to black. Also changes when I drag and drop can anyone tell me how to fix this?

    You have not provided any exact information like what version of ID, system info, paragraph styles, color definitions and whatnot, so we can't know what is going on. either way, ask in the ID forum and provide all those important details.

  • My white Background color changes to BLACK

    Hi...
    If I open a PDF document the background color is set to black instead of white...
    if you'd like to see an example:
    http://www.yoursmartdesign.de/extern/acrobat.jpg
    any suggestions...?
    My specs:
    Acrobat CS3
    Vista Ultimate x64
    Q6600 Quad core
    4 GB Ram

    mmhh... ok... thank you... now it works. But why do I have to replace the document color... Is it a bug or something like that or what is it?
    I'm just waiting for a document where the backgroundcolor should be yellow and the text blue (just an example)... Will it then change it to b&w. That just couldn't be the solution...

  • Colors change when I use UIImageVIew?

    In PhotoShop and in the finder the image looks bright and the colors look good but as soon as I use it as the image for a UIImageView it dulls the image and it does not look as good. Is this something I can change?

    I'm guessing you're talking about the iPhone simulator as there's no other way you could view the image in Photoshop on the same monitor. I'd see how it looks on the device itself first, and if it's still washed out then you can look to see what color space its pixel values were meant to be interpreted in.
    Odds are good that reliable color management was never a top priority on any mobile device.

  • Please help me how to take the "Spot Color" in illustrator?

    Hi,
    Please help me how to take the "spot color in illustrator CS" using vb script (or) java script.
    Regards,
    Prabudass E.

    Prabudass,<br /><br />If you are just wanting to see if the illustrator file uses spot colors - run the Delete Unused Panel items from the default actions. then view the swatch palette in small or large List View. The color names that have a square containing a gray circle (spot) to the right of their color names are spot colors. <br /><br />The following will get the spot color name of an existing swatch named "Color1" and change it to "Nicks Swatch" and will assign the CMYK values stated.<br /><br />if (app.documents.length > 0){<br />var swatches = app.activeDocument.spots;<br />for(i=0;i<swatches.length;i++){ var currSwatch = swatches[i]; if(currSwatch.name == "Color1")<br />{currSwatch.name = "Nicks Swatch";<br />     var newColor = new CMYKColor(); <br />     newColor.cyan = 35; newColor.magenta = 0; <br />     newColor.yellow = 50; <br />     newColor.black = 0; <br />     currSwatch.color = newColor; } }}<br /><br />When this script has run the swatch palette will not immediately reflect the changes to the swatch name until you double click on a swatch and click OK or Cancel in the Edit Swatch dialog.<br /><br />I hope that I have understood your question correctly and that these responses are helpful.<br /><br />Good Luck<br /><br />Nick

  • Convert Color PDF to Grayscale using Preflight in Acrobat 9 Pro

    Has anyone posted a step-by-step procedure to convert color PDFs to grayscale? I've unsuccessfully been trying to use the new Preflight dialog to do this. This is the procedure I tried:
    1) In the Preflight dialog, Create New Preflight Fixup.
    2) Fixup Category: Color Spaces, Spot Colors, Inks. For Type of Fixup: Convert Colors.
    3) In the Conversion settings tab, chose All Objects, Using Any Color (except spot colors), plus All Objects, Using Spot colors(s).
    4) For Destination, I chose a grayscale destination Dot Gain 25%.
    5) After clicking OK, I selected the new profile and clicked on the Fix button, and saved the file.
    Nothing happens, and the colors don't change.
    If anyone can explain what I'm missing, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Refer to Acrobat 9 Help PDF (installed with Acrobat 9 is installed).
    Review the  discussion for Exporting PDFs in Chapter 5 of this Help PDF.
    The PDF is also available on Adobe's site.

    Good to know is that the Acrobat 9.x product family passed into End of Support mid-year 2013.

  • Color conversion : special behavior with Spot Color "All"

    Hello,
    I have a document with printmarks which have a spot color "All". While I convert the page using the "Color conversion" to Gray 1.8 with Adobe Acrobat X the spot color "All" are still present (with the alternate color space DeviceGray).
    Using Adobe Acrobat 9.x all objects have a DeviceGray color.
    Is it a bug or a new behavior? Moreover the SDK method doesn't convert the spot color but keep the name (but I know this is not the right place to post it - it's just for information).
    Regards,
    Joe

    I sense you may not understand the difference between sopt and process colors in the printing process.
    When you use process inks you build all color representations by combining dots of varying sizes from each of the four process colors, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Because the dots are two small to be seen individually your brain is fooled into thinking it sees other colors. Process color printing requires four printing plates to produce the full range of colors possible, but that range is limited compared to what you can see in real life or capture in RGB.
    Spot colors, in contrast, are similar to paint. Each color is mixed individually, and every spot color requires its own plate on the printing press (and you must use a press -- toner and inkjet printers use cmyk inksets and cannot print real spot colors). Because of the expense of these plates, the use of spot colors is usually limited to one or two colors in any print job, and if the job has other color (like photographs) that requires process inks, converting the spot colors to the closest process simulation is often employed if the spot colors can be simulated "close enough" to satisfy the client and the budget is tight.
    I would avoid using process colors for type in small sizes or for very thin strokes, especially in lighter colors, as you are likely to see ragged edges.
    So, how many spot color swatches did you use? More than two? More than four? Do you have a huge budget to produce the work? This may be a project that really should be designed from the ground up as process, or process and one spot for that hard to print bright accent color.

  • Cursor color change according to background

    The default cursor is Black, and black tool-tips (such as slashes, carats, circles, eyedrop, etc...).  However, I have trouble tracking down a certain line segment or end-point when I can't see the black slash on the thick black border.   All I can do is change the item to white, make my selection, make the connection, then change it back to black.  Very time consuming and interrupts the creative flow.
    Is there a plug-in or setting so that the cursor color changes from black to white according to the darkness/lightness of the background?    Or am I simply SOL?

    Nope, that stuff is hard-coded. If you have difficulty in detecting thin elements, I suggest you use the colored paper simulation in the doc settings/ prefs and assign som contrasty color temporarily If you e.g. work with black and white, obviously something like a dirty lime green or greenish grey will work perfectly rfor both colors...
