Spry Authenticated Areas... Safari breaks

Working with Safari 2.0.4 on my mac I had a bit of an
error/bug situation with an application I have been developing with
Spry. The loading of the dataset and the sorting was working just
fine. Then I turned authentication on for that application. The
entire directory has the same permissions. When I login the default
page is gotten it drops down the authentication window... I login
and see some of my page... after a tenth of a second goes by then I
get another request to login with a username of 'null' already
entered. I look at the activity window in safari and see that it is
trying to load the XML data set from a url in the following context
http://null:[email protected]/bar/ds.asp'
.... If I do login then the page refuses to load and keeps
presenting me with the 'null' login.
I would post code, but without it being on an authenticated
server it would do no good. In fact I removed the authentication
and reapplied it. I still have that same problem.
Any ideas?
This does work with IE 6 on Windows. Firefox requires a
double authentication. The first for the page... the second for the
dataset. The second login then makes it work fine, until I leave
the page. Then when I come back I have to authenticate in once
more.
Any ideas? This is pretty frustrating.

While developing some Spry features I found a Safari
rendering problem while the innerHTML of elements change in some
situation. This is the method we use to update the regions on each
event appearing on the dataset and I suppose this is the same bug.
Could you give me an URL and tell me the Safari version you use to
track this problem?

I am imorting a HTML text into a TextFlow using TextConverter.importToFlow
The format I am using is TextConverter.TEXT_FIELD_HTML_FORMAT
I am setting the formatso the space after a paragrph as follows:
paragraphSpaceAfter = 30
My question is why are line breaks tag <br> give me the same space between lines as a paragraph?
can I control the height of the line breaks ?

You could try \n as newlines - replacing <br> elements with new lines. I doubt it will be a robust solution as the TextFieldHTMLImporter collapses the whiteSpace always.
If you want to import HTML (and not TextField HTML) you're best bet is to create your own importer. Starting with the TextField HTML importer is an option if you feel its close enough. Minimally there's some useful code in the class for converting street HTML to XML.

How do I migrate bookmarks from Camino to Firefox? My only options are Safari and Chrome.

I've followed the on-site directions for this migration ("migrate from another browser") but my only options via that route are Safari and Chrome.

Export bookmarks from camino using the instructions at http://caminobrowser.org/documentation/bookmarks/#export .
Then import the html file into firefox using the instructions in the [[Import Bookmarks from a HTML file]] article.
Does that fix the problem?

I'm just tired of reading all these, I'm breaking the law when I use my Android phone for calls while driving. Well, as I have found out, don't worry your not.
The strictest law is regards to TEXTING, which prohibit it while operating a motor vehicle, unless(in some states) you are able to use a handsfree device for texting such as using text to speech, like handescent offers through their app.

yeah....yestrday i "rolled" through a stop. spit my gum out of the window, took out the recycling bin (which i'm sure contained something that is not recycleable), and used the carpool lane to get around a guy that was driving below the speed limit. all fineable (if not illegal) offenses. not to worried about having to touch my phone once or twice to make a call. i've never completely understood the various laws anyway? i have a cd/stereo that comes in the car, a zune (mp3 player), and an xm radio unit mounted to the dash. i have to use my hands for all of these. there's really no such thing as going "hands free."

IIRC, if your reboot, disable the adapter or disconnect from the wireless, as long as the session timer or the idle timer does not timeout, then you are still considered as authenticated. If you logout, the wlc logs you off and you will have to log back in. The wierd thing is with iPhones or iPads, they go to sleep mode and you have to log back in to access the guest network. The workaround was to increase the idle timers to a certain acceptable limit to prevent this from happening.
If you disconnect from the guest SSID and leave your client off the network until the idle timer expires, do you get prompted for a login or do you have access again?

I was moving bookmarks around tonight trying to orgize a bunch in different places and a hole folder with several sub folders dispeared out of no where.
I do use time machine as a backup. Would Sarafri have a seprate book mark folder anywhere
Can anyone suggest anything at all to try and get this back?

Well said.
You don't go chasing through the backup folders, you look at the current version of what you want restored, then Open Time machine right on top of it. the presentation changes to the "Star Wars" view of that window, receding in time.

Spry Horizontal Menu - Safari on Mac

I have used the spry menu in CS3 for the first time on a Mac
and it looks fine in Firefox, but the sub menus look like they are
about 4px to the left on Safari.

I was checking my project on a few browsers.

Spry Collapsible Panels Safari Error

I'm working on a website with multiple collapsible panels on some of the pages. I have the Javascript set so that they automatically load closed, which works in Firefox and Chrome, but not in Safari. There, they load open. They will close when clicked on, so the script is working on some level.
This website is not live yet, so I can't send a link. I have experience with html and css programming, but Javascript is new to me and I'm a bit afraid to mess around with it too much! I haven't changed anything in the Javascript (from what is automatically loaded when you insert a Spry item) besides making the first "contentIsOpen" equal "false." That changed it in Firefox--do I have to adjust other pieces in the js code specifically for Safari?
Any other thoughts as to why Safari isn't loading the collapsible panels properly?

The out-of-the-box Spry Collapsible Panels work in all modern browsers including Safari. If they do not work for you, then you have altered something that upset the apple cart. At this stage you are better able to see what you have done, i.e. untill you give us a link to your site.
Incidently, do not touch the JS, there is no need to do that. If you want all panels closed to start with, all you need to do is say so in the constructor as per

Spry Tabs are no longer showing after upload

I was just recently finished working on my website and had created a spry tab to use for 4 different forms. Now when I view the page, the tabs are not showing but the four forms are all on one page.
I remember seeing in split view </div> out to the side of my layout in layout view and I thought it was an extra div and deleted it. My guess is that's why my form is no longer showing the tabs.
Any help on where I need to add the </div> back in would be MUCH appreciated.

I removed all the content from each Tab and created a new page and inserted a new Spry Tab to compare the code but I'm still not seeing what is different. It appears that all my divs are correct. Am I missing the obvious?

Where in the icx tables are price break and price break quantities stored?

I am trying to build a query from the icx tables that will show me all the BPA line price breaks and quantities.
I cannot seem to find any documentation on what is specifically is extracted from the BPA lines when an internal catalog build is performed. I am able to validate that in iP, the price breaks are being taken into consideration when I create Requisitions with various quantities, but I do not know where iP is storing this information. Perhaps the data isn't stored and is taken from the core app po_line_locations_all table at the time the requisition is being created?
I have a BPA, line 27, that has multiple price break lines.

Even better, if someone already knows the answer to either 1) price break and quantity are not stored in icx tables or 2) they are stored and you have SQL that shows me how to find it, I would be so very appreciative to have this information.

Price breaks details are not stored in any icx tables. iP retrieves the information based on the need by date entered on the requisition.
Oracle support referred me to the Oracle® Purchasing Release 11i10 Open Interfaces and APIs.
The java code - SourceDocHelper.java - is responsible to get the price information by calling the procedure po_price_break_grp.get_price_break (POXPRBKB.pls DefaultPricing ) For a given a Source Document (Quotation/Catalog), Quantity and Unit of Measure, this procedure derives the best price for the calling routine.
The SQL used to get the price information that was sent to me is attached. Note that this SQL uses the need by date to get the right price in case of price break used at the distribution level.

What are timecode breaks and why do they happen?

I am trying to capture a tape from a Canon GL2, and it has tons of TC breaks. I have read the previous posts on TC breaks and I think I know how to work around them, but I don't quite understand what they are and why they happen. Does it mean the tape is bad? Or did something go wrong when I recorded the footage with the camera? How do I avoid them in the future?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best practice for this issue comes down the the shooter.
- Get in the habit of always rolling 5 sec. of tape before action starts and 5 seconds of tape after action ends.
- Try not to turn the camera off.
- Try not to do 'searches' on tapes that are being recorded on.
- If the camera is turned off, or you need to search back into the tape, make sure you do NOT roll past the end of the last recorded frame...preferable stop a couple of seconds prior to the last recorded frame, and begin recording there.
- If your camera is capable of generating Bars, try to record 10 seconds of bars in between scene or location changes...gives you an identifier and room to roll into already recorded TC.
-if you have to pop the tape out of the camera at any point, follow the above listed practice of cueing up to a couple of seconds prior to the last recorded frame, and start recording there to pick up continous timecode.
-try not to use 'free-run' timecode. It will make editing an absolute nightmare.

Safari won't recognize www.apple.com if by chance opens the home page when I request another website , it tells me I am not connected to internet , but I am , then I try to go to firefox and i get the same problem , then I wnet to another place (at&T htspot and all is working perfect all brwser work normal . I am assuming this has to do with my house network , but all other computers do not have a problem they work ok . So I ask is there a problem with my computer with the network , how can I see if that is the case

The standard arch kernel includes all the required modules, at most you need to load them explicitly listing them in MODULES in /etc/rc.conf
You need also the hw specific stuff, that is i915 and intelagp. Check lsmod and see if they are loaded. If they are not, inspect dmesg and see if udev tries to load them and fails for some reason.
I remember some cases where intelagp and i915 are not loaded by udev in the right order, if this is your case you can try to list them in the right order in MODULES.
There should be no need to recompile the kernel or to install a particular version of dri (just use the arch packages for mesa, libdrm etc; but I guess you have them already)
