SQLSTT 72000...
We have purchased a product called Access Manager for DB2 and installed it on our AS400. This gives us the connectivitiy to Oracle server with which we do the Warehouse management software interface using our legacy system on AS400.
I have written several programs in SQLRPGLE and not quite sure as to how I can handle errors coming out of Oracle server.
As per my knowledge in my programs, I do
declare cursor
open cursor
fetch
dow look for sqlstate
fetch next row
enddo
close cursor
I am also new to this much of SQL.
Now, my programs are running in production and works just fine if we don;t have any issues with oracle server (database server down etc.).
My question is if the database server goes down for any reason, my SQLRPGLE progam starts giving me cursor not open errors, the actual error is as follows:
Connection to relational database HJAWCD1 already exists.
ARDUPAR: ARDUPAR: rc=-1(OCI_ERROR) from OCIStmtExecute when asking for
Describe-Info
ARDUPAR(1): ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
ARDAROC: rc = -1 from parse
SQLSTATE class unknown - SQLSTATE 72000, SQLCODE -969.
Cursor SEHOST not open.
Cursor SEHOST not open.
Cursor SEHOST not open.
So although, the connection exist between the AS400 and Oracle server as suggested from first statement, but then the cursor is giving me problems of not opening.
what I would like to know is how do I check in my SQL statement the error and somehow reconnect and open the cursor again.
Please help in this regard, since I am not finding any help from iseries world becuase no one seems to have knowledge about this product that we have installed and I don;t have too mcuh of documentation on the product nor do I have any sample handling messages program using RPGLE between oracle and AS400 using the product.

Also one more thing which is bugging me for a long time about the Access Manager messages. Sometimes, during the same session on AS400, user gets an unidentified type of error in the job log and the connection to ARD is still there but the session can no longer send transactions to Oracle sever using the link and I couldn't figure out how to atack that issue.
In the job log I get this:
Connection to relational database HJAWCB1 already exists.
Ownership of object ORAARD_V in QTEMP type *USRSPC changed.
Library ORAAM400 added to library list.

Ownership of object ORAARDCNTX in QTEMP type *USRSPC changed.

It all starts with that mesage "Pointer not set for location referenced". And the details on that message says:

So, it is definitley something with the access manager software that we have installed on the as400 which issues this message for some un identified reason. Does Oracle have any patch for Access Manager version 10.2.0.1.0
Please help, how to resolve this issue???

Farhan QadriIt's been over a decade since I worked on an AS/400 (iSeries), but I've seen an ORA-03114 is thrown from the OCI when you've attempted an illegal statement. That error typically means you are no longer connected to the database. I'd guess that your new application has a defective RPG error management routine.
Good luck, Michael -
Registration is finished error: (10, -72000)
Every time I restart the server, I get this error in the Password Service Error Log:
Jan 8 2008 15:55:51 Registration is finished error: (10, -72000)
Anyone know what this is?Are you using a DHCP address for your server? IP changes are not handled well, you will need to obtain a static address to keep things running. To recover from your current problem, take a look at changeip command. If you do not remember the old IP, you will need to look through LDAP directory manually for stale IP addresses and change them using dscl. In my case, I had to do:
# dscl dscl /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1
auth myusername
Password: *****
read /Config/PasswordServer
change /Config/PasswordServer PasswordServerLocation oldip newip

"Could not connect to Bonjour: NSNetServices error-72000, domain 10
This is the message I get when attempting to login to iChat Bonjour services. Additionally, both my Airport Extreme and Express recently began blinking amber. I attempted both a soft reset/hard reset and reset the PRAM. None of this worked and now I have an inclination that it is Bonjour that is effecting the base stations. I am able to see both base stations in Airport Utility, but upon clicking one it will try to connect to the base station and configure it but it will spin forever. How do I fix Bonjour?

HELP - DB2 v9 & App Server PE 9.0 - PING Connection Pool Failure - HELP
I've been playing around with Studio Creator and DB2 v9 without any issues.
So I figured I would installed App Server PE 9 and use this as my production server that I would deploy to from studio creator.
However, in my efforts to set up db2/v9 I have been trying to ping a connection pool without any luck. I get the following message:
Operation 'pingConnectionPool' failed in 'resources' Config Mbean. Target exception message: Connection could not be allocated because: [sunm][DB2 JDBC Driver]Resource Limits Reached( ALLOCATE MEMORY FOR NEW SQLSTT FAILED ). Diagnostic Info: FUNCTION ID = 0049 , PROBE POINT = 0400 , TRACE POINT = 0030 , SUBCODE1 = 8B0F0000, SUBCODE2 = 78A68A98, SUBCODE3 = 00000000, ERROR MSG = Parser: Memory allocation error.
My datasource class name is com.sun.sql.jdbcx.db2.DB2DataSource.
And my resource type is javax.sql.datasource
I have copied smbase.jar, smdb2.jar and smutil.jar into c:\sun\appserver\lib
and I have all of the properties (serverName, portNumber, databaseName, user, password) created and set accordingly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Here is how I got the DB2 Express-C and Sun PE 9.0 to work. ( at least base connectivity wise )
1. ) You have to have at least the DB2 Client installed on the system that will be communicating to the DB2 instance.
2.) The following jars will be needed ( depending on the driver type used) . db2java.zip, db2jcc.jar, and db2jcc_license_cu.jar and use them in the App Server ->JVM settings -> Path Settings -> Classpath Suffix
3.) The next setup is dependent on the Type driver you use
I used the Type 4 and this is the resource setup I used.
Connection Pool:
Name: DB2TestPool
Datasource Classname: com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2SimpleDataSource
Resource Type: javax.sql.ConnectionPoolDataSource
Properties:
user: xxxxxx
password: xxxxxx
databaseName: TEST
serverName: <hostname of machine>
portnumber: 50000
driverType: 4
URL: jdbc:db2://<hostname>:<port>/<database>
JDBC Resource:
JNDI Name: jdbc/TEST
Pool Name: DB2TestPool
With this configuration I was able to ping the database as well as connect to create an entity bean from a table. This should give you a starting point.
I have yet to deploy my application, but should be doing that sometime today to verify that a connection can be made and used from within the application. -

Can not get CF7 to Communicate with DB2 v9.1
Installed on a windows server I have DB2 UDB Enterprise
edition 9.01, all the fix packs are current.
I also loaded ColdFusion MX7.02 Enterprise edition on the
same server. I had to download the latest JDBC Drivers from Adobe.
I let db2 create the DSN connections in the file system panel
one Local connection and one TCP/IP both connections passed the
connection test. Db2 also passed the connections test. I tested
each connection separately deleting one before creating the other.
When I get to coldfusions connection data sources panel and
create either connection I get a “ time out” message
from the server when I test the connection.
This morning I installed IIS on the server and now I am
getting a new message below.
I do know that the connections are set up right and the
authorities are correct. If I change any of the parameter either in
db2 or coldfusion it knows that they are incorrect (i.e. password,
user id, db name, server etc.)
I set up oracle and ASP in about 3 hours. Its been 3 weeks
since we purchased Coldfusion and I still can not get Coldfusion
and DB2 working together
Any help would be greatly appreciated

EMP1 , 73000, Sample, 01-March-2010
But I want the report to be generate with multiple projects for one employee like below format , for that I used 'Second XML' file but I am getting blank report.
In short if there is one to many case, how to show in reports??? Please correct if I am going wrong.

Edited by: ganeshtw on Aug 25, 2010 12:14 AMHi,
With your first xml you can print like
EMP1
71000, Sample, 01-Jan-2010
72000, Sample, 01-Feb-2010
73000, Sample, 01-March-2010While creating the RTF template you can use the Group by option.
<?for-each-group:ROW;./columnname> then print the column name
<?columnname?>
--Then your table format
71000, Sample, 01-Jan-2010
72000, Sample, 01-Feb-2010
73000, Sample, 01-March-2010
<?end for-each-group?>
Thanks. -
Hi, as the title reads my year old mid 2010 Macbook pro keeps powering off and leaving the below error message.
I'm a university student and desperately need my mac to hit deadlines etc. If anyone could suggest a solution or shed any light i'd be hugely appreciative. Thanks SO much. Joe

It looks like your NVIDIA graphic is damaged. If you need your computer now, you can fix the computer downloading gfxCardStatus and selecting the option to use only the integrated graphic, so that kernel panic won't appear anymore. Note that you won't be able to use the NVIDIA graphic, so the graphic performance may be worse than with this graphic.
Of course, that's a temporary fix, because you should take the computer to an Apple Store as soon as possible to get the Mac repaired. As the NVIDIA graphic is not soldered, the repair won't be expensive -

in my source i have 10records for state...... 9states with lenght<10 and 1 NULL value......
when i am trying to load the records from source to target...i am getting this error.....
12899 : 72000 : java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "TARGET"."STATE" (actual: 11, maximum: 10)
why is taking the lenght of NULL as 11...........
Thanksthere might be some special characters or international characters instead of Varchar2(10 byte ) try varchar2(10 char) and try again. As some of the unicode symbols or characters can take two byes even though they are single characters

Exchange Rate calculation mismatch in Sales Order Invoice and Cancelled Invoice
Hi,
In Sales Invoice, Exchange Rate is maintained as 7.75132
Invoice Amount is 72000 USD. So the Amount calculated should be 558095.04.
But in Accounting Document the Amount is posted as 558095.15 for the GL Sales Account.
In Cancelled Sales Invoice, Amount posted is 558095.04 in GL Sales Account which is correct.
Please help me understand why there is difference in both the Amount even when the Exchange Rate is same.
Regards,
Debashri DuttaHi Ankur,
Thanks for your reply.But our problem is sales order,exchange rates are defined with M type in OB08 as u have said.However when the periods are different for order entry and invoice generation we are facing the following problem.Orders are at old exchange rates and excise invoice is getting generated at current exchange rate.This is resulting in value difference between commercial invoice and excise invoice.
Please help.

-mikeHi. You may need to consult your DB2 DBA. This is just the driver reporting that
it's processing failed at the DBMS because of hitting a DBMS resource limit on

2. Use only SELECT ... FOR UPDATE when really needed
3. Try to avoid massive INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE running at the same time on the same rows
In an Oracle database, SELECT without FOR UPDATE clause does not lock rows.
Readers (SELECT) are not blocked by writers (INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE) and vice-versa: only writers are blocked by writers. -
Hi everyone,
I have a txt file and It has some data's. I want to specifically replace a character in the text file. Data's will be like this,
TT=15
S1ST=21601
S1EN=50400
S2ST=50401
S2EN=72000
S3ST=72001
S3EN=21600
GNST=00000
GNEN=00000
S1B1S=22800
S1B1E=23400
S1B2S=28800
S1B2E=30600
S1B3S=36000
S1B3E=36600
S1B4S=45000
S1B4E=46800
In the 2nd line i.e. S1ST=21601, I want to replace 36000 instead of 21601.
After replacing the specific character, data's should overwrite in the file or appending the file will also ok for me.
Give me a suggestion. I am using LV 8.2. So plz post your code in 8.2 ver
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Vijay
