SQR Process Run Status Error

Hi All,
I created an SQR which will update the chartfield1 of the employee when they are non-union employees. After we run the SQR Process, we got an Error on the run status. We check the message log of and got this message :
"Process Request shows status of 'INITIATED' or 'PROCESSING' but no longer running".
Any idea on what happened and what can we do to solve it? I read some other thread regarding these message and they say that I need to refresh the database or something. Your input will be of great help.

What Peopletools are you using ?
Check if the process scheduler is still running.
Under $PS_HOME/appserv/prcs/domain_name check stderr and stdout files.
Under $PS_HOME/appserv/prcs/domain_name/LOGS check the logs files.

Hi Schumi,
To modify the status and error message info out of your step you can use runstate property like this :
- For status :
(if your step is in Setup group change "Main" to "Setup" in the following expression)
RunState.Sequence.Main["name of your step"].Result.Status
- For error msg:
RunState.Sequence.Main["name of your step"].Result.Error.Msg
You can evaluate the error message and change the status using the previous expression in a "statement" step.

All the sqr process are results in error

While running any sqr process,it's erroring out with the below mentioned error output.All other process are running fine.Please help me to fix the issue.

Here is the list of things i tried already
1,Done a DB bind with DB owner id
2,Done a DB bind with DB instance id with the help of DBA
3,Done a DB bounce with the help of DBA
4,Cleared the apps/prcs cache and tried
5,Recreate the prcs domain and tried
6,Verified the sqr path is correct in the environment(psconfg.sh) file and found to be correct

Run status is still "processing" but the distribution status is "posted"

We have run a process yesterday.
The process' run status is still "processing" but the distribution status is changed to "posted". what could be the reason for this? i have never seen such thing in process monitor.

Peopletools version ? OS ? Database ?
Did you try to refresh the page (not through the refresh button but with your web browser) ?
Did you try to disconnect and reconnect ?

Unable to open a new window you must first close exsisting firefox process or restart your system. There is no firefox process running why should I receive this error msg?

I closed a Firefox process. Then clicked the FF icon to restart my browser. I received an error message. " Firefox is already running, but not responding. To open a new window you must first close existing Firefox process, or restart your system. However there is no Firefox process running to begin with. I checked the task manager.

Service entry sheet reversal document (Status: Error in process) List repor

I have a requirement, to have or develop report which gives service entry sheet reversal documents (Status: Error in process),
while investigation i found below options (not exactly meeting my requirement)
1) Display and Process Confirmations Centrally >Document Category>reverse documents
which giving all reversed document list (need only error list) and it is giving only my puchasign group list (need all purchasing group list)
2) I can execute PPB_PD with BUS2203>status>I1019
is there any way/possible option that i can execute a report of reversal service entry sheets which ststus :error in process"

Thanks for your reply.
But this is what has happened. No the SES was not deleted in ECC before the confirmation was deleted in SRM. Our users don't have access to ECC T-codes.
Also I have checked the time at which the cancellation was created and everything is in sync.
How can i change the status of SES from 'Error in process' to 'posted in backend'?

SRM 3.0 Extended classic scenario
EBP Purchase order goes in to Status "Error in process" after making some ammendments.
Getting following error
1) EEP\Business to Business Procurement(100)\...\Purchase Order\Backend application errors
2)Business to Business Procurement(100) Purchase Order Backend application errors ACTIVE PurchOrder xxxxxxxxxx: Please specify a valid account assignment
3) Business to Business Procurement(100) Purchase Order Backend application errors ACTIVE Purchase order xxxxxxxxx: Instance xxxxxxxxx of object type PurchaseOrder c ould not be changed
Can you please suggest what are the setting i need to check, actuallly the changes is not reflecting in to backend.

It is a service purchase order and changes made to them is delete and undelete the service line items not updating in to back end,

Connection to sap not possible, all dialog work processes in running status

Dear SAP gurus,
We have problem with two of our productive systems (different servers) . This morning there was two times problem with connection to the system, via dpmon i saw there are all dialog work proccesses in running status, no connection was possible. After restart is was ok, but the problem
appeares again and again after some time. Please help me with this issue, it is very critical.

we are upgrading to Portal 10.1.4 from 10.2.0.2.
Right in the middle of the upgrade scripts running get ORA-00471: DBWR process terminated with error...
Any suggestion?

it must a trace file produced by PMON because it was PMON who killed the instance.

After doing a "restore", my gen 3 itouch won't synch with my computer itunes content, tunes, apps, etc. all software is current. synch process runs 1-4 steps, then lists failure errors. help?

my gen 3 itouch wouldn't synch, so i "restored". still no synch. all itunes, ipod software is current. a few apps have synched. but no tunes. the synch process runs completely, steps 1 to 4 take about 15 mins. error window alerts that 50 apps didn't synch (with error codes for each one), there is no music content in the itouch window.
a few scattered basic apps do work, and email works with updates as well. i think i have followed the trouble-shooter tips properly, but i'm confounded. can someone help?

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

I am not sure about the run time error SYSTEM_NO_SHM_MEMORY, however the other two I know a little about.
RAISE_EXCEPTION can be the cause of the run time dump UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION. In ABAP program, you might have a function module or method which raises an exception using the command RAISE <exception>. Now if in your calling application you do not "handle" the exception, then the dump UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION occurs.
The solution to this is to always handle the SY-SUBRC after a function module call and also using the TRY - CATCH <exception> - ENTRY for catching and handling exceptions in classes in your program.
Please use F1 on CATCH/TRY command for more on this.
A dump shows you the reason for the dump in quite a bit of detail in "Error Analysis" section and also gives a solution.

When BW jobs failed in error, the status of the job step in Redwood is console => waiting an operator action.
How do we can have the step directly in status error as no action will be done in the night for those BW jobs, please ?

When you start the BW chain with parameter RESTARTABLE=N(o) it it will always go to an end status immediately.

Displaying a pdf file generated off a sqr process immediately

I have a need to run a sqr process which generates a pdf file/csv file to the user immediately on completion w/o going to the various folders.
Can you please share any ideas ?
I will have to create a process request, wait for the the process to complete and then serve the pdf file once complete. Off course I will have to provide for the possibility that the process fails or does not start.
I want the report to open in a new window. Is it simple as accessing the cdm table and building a url and using using view content url ?
While the application is waiting, I also need to send a message to the user that the process is running.

PeopleSoft already delivers this functionality, but in order to use it you have to configure a REN server and grant some permissions first. Look at article ID 659008.1 - REN Server Basic Configuration Steps on Oracle Support for instructions on how to set this up.
With this setup, you can select an Output Type of "Window" when submitting a process, and a new window will open immediately. The window will show the process status (Queued, Initiated, Processing, Error, etc.) until the process reaches Success status. At this point, the report will be opened automatically in this window.

Run time error while closing the CRM Order using BAPI

I am facing an issue while closing the CRM orders. According to our business process, when an issue is solved we will keep the order in resolved status only. We will not directly close the order from the CRM tool, instead we have created a custom program for the same purpose.
For the custom program we will give input as the order number and execute it, this will close the order.
Here close the order means assigning it to Close status as well assign the reason code.
We have created some reason codes for closed status.
So when the program is run the Order moves from resolved status to closed status along with reason code.
But of late we are facing some problems with this program, it is giving run time error for some CRM orders.
Run time error message : The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught in procedure "CRM_SERVICE_OS_UPD_OST_DU" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.

When I analyzed the run time error I have found that it trying to insert the record in CRMD_SRV_OSSET for that CRM order, but already one record is present in the table for the same CRM order number.
For most of the CRM orders there is no entry in this table so they are closing successfully but for a few orders for which there is an entry we are getting the above run time error.
There is nothing wrong with the orders which have an entry already in the table CRMD_SRV_OSSET, I need to close these kind of orders with out run time error.
