SRM 7.0 upgrade addon issues

I recently updated my ST-PI addon from 2005_1_640 to 2008_1_640 on my SRM system to match the ST-PI level on our SOLMAN system. Now I'm upgrading our SRM system from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0 and I'm stuck at the addon section of the upgrade. During the extraction phase I get a warning that says version 2008_1_640 is too high for the upgrade (>2005_1_710). I am able to continue past since it's just a warning. Once I get to the configuration phase I'm stopped to resolve the addons. my PI_BASIS is resolved by the addon dvd, but my ST-PI, ST-A/PI, and VIRSANH packages won't resolve. I have the install, upgrade, and supplemental files for ST-PI 2008/700 and 2008/710 as well as the needed packages for the other addons unpacked into EPS/in, but when I choose "Upgrade with Saint package" it doesn't see any of the packages.
Has anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved?

This fixed it for me.
Edit bin/IS_RANGE.LST file to include 2008_1_700.
         Ranges of ADD-ONs which are included in the Export
  ADD-ON_ID       RELMIN            RELMAX
      PI_BASIS        2002_1_620        2006_1_710
      ST-PI           003C_40B          2008_1_700
FIX    
      WP-PI           500_46D           600_620
Reset the upgrade by going back until the first step. Start the upgrade and then run SAPup stop ADDON_CHK to stop the upgrade before the ADDON_CHK to get rid of the error. ONce the check is performed it over writes the file again so at the stop between the extraction and configuration phases make the above change again and it if you have the 2008_1_700 addon in your EPS/in directory the upgrade will continue on and you'll be able to continue on.

    Disabled the RTC Alarm power, left the computer off overnight. It did not power on. I'm gonna let it go another night or two then I'll consider this issue solved.

    It depends on your Project Requirement. If you are upgrading your current version with any new version, then you will have to upgrade the system.
    If you are implementing new version, then you will have install fresh and then upload the data from Old System.
    You need to check your project. (Upgrade or Implementation)

    HANA One team is happy to announce new addon "Console Upgrade" for Rev52.1 customers.
    Features:

    Steps to install addon "Console Upgrade"
    Note: Instance will reboot after Console Upgrade.

    I've tried multiple times to install this Console upgrade and it fails with:
    Error Message    Transport : Volume creation Failed. Skipping next steps
    My concern is not so much the Console upgrade but license expiration. My license expires in Aug 14 so I tried the other icon on the Addons tab for a license that expires in Sep 14. This also failed with the above message.
    The license process for HANA One is not at all clear to me. Is it that the initial instance is loaded with a temporary
    license and you need to install a permanent license thereafter?
    My S number doesn't have sufficient authorization to create an installation on Service Marketplace and so
    I can't get to where you request a permanent license key.

  • Bidding Engine / Cfolders available after SRM 5.0 upgrade??

    Recently we upgraded from EBP 3.5 to SRM 5.0(SRM Server 5.5), we only have the ABAP stack & no Java stack.Our users have suggested to use the "bidding engine" & Cfolders, so what I want to know is
    a) Is bidding Engine / Cfolders installed by default during the SRM 5.0 upgrade?.
    b) Is Bidding Engine part of Live Auction Cockpit(LAC) & we need to install the LAC separately?.
    c) Do I need to install the Java stack for the bidding engine & cfolders?.

    Hi Abhishek,
    a. Bidding Engine is part of SRM server and there for use when SRM Server is installed. You are ready to go, customize and use. cFolders are part of cProject Suite and need to be extra installed.
    b. LAC is an own component supporting the auction and need to be extra installed. This is also Java based, why you need the Java Stack here.
    c. no, Bidding Engine and cFolders are both abap based.

    Go to SE11, Menu->Utilities->Database Object->Check
                Menu->Utilities->Runtime Object->Check
    If there are inconsistency, please follow  note 211492 to adjust the inc
    onsistency in original instance . But if these tables are obsolete,
    for example doesn't exist in the system any more, you could also choose the option to 'Ignore' the error and
    continue with the upgrade. But this is a BC-UPG issue.

  • Impact of SRM 7.0 Upgrade on XI 3.0

    Hi,
    Soon we are going to upgrade our SRM 4.0 system to SRM 7.0 and MDM Catalog 3.0.
    So is there any impact on XI 3.0, do we need to upgrade XI 3.0 to PI 7.0 or PI 7.1 to be able to do this.
    Do you have any idea?
    I have looked in the PAM at SAP but I don't come to any conclusion. Could you help me to sort this out?

    After going through "Upgrade Dependency Analyzer" ([_UDA_|http://service.sap.com/uda]) it is possible to upgrade SRM without upgrading XI 3.0 but then SRM7.0 should be without EHP1, but if we want to have SRM on EHP1 then XI 3.0 must be upgraded to it's higher versions.
    Apart from my findings if anyone has done this before then please let me know if there are any known issues or points to be taken care during upgrade.

  • SRM 5.5 upgrade to SRM 7.0 with MDM

    Pl consider the following scenario and give your views.
    Our client has SRM 5.5 running with SRM MDM 2.0 in their landscape. Now they wish to upgrade to SRM 7.0 without upgrading MDM.(We are upgrading through the parallel landscape).
    So during the upgrade phase, we wish to connect SRM 5.5 and SRM 7.0 both to their existing MDM system for testing purpose. Is this possible?
    PS : Parallel landscape is existing DEV environment will be copied and then upgrade the copied environment. We plan to copy only SRM Server and want to continue using the existing MDM, PI, Portal and TREX setup.

  • ITunes Match and iOS 7.0.3 Upgrade - Syncing Issue

    I subscribe to iTunes Match for my iPhone 4S.  However, I still sync photos, videos, etc from my computer.  During both the update to 7.0.3 and 7.0.2, my phone has taken an interminable amount of time to sync after upgrading the iOS.  During the last upgrade, i left the phone to sync overnight and found that it had deleted all of the music that I had downloaded to my device - or at least sort of.  It was showing these songs as not on the device, however they seemed to still be taking up drive space.  Many albums I had downloaded were now showing each track duplicated - one iTunes match version with the cloud next to it, and one downloaded to the device.  After trying to remedy the issue many different ways, I found that thing that worked was to erase and restore the phone from back-up, thereby deleting all the music on my device and requiring me to again download songs from the cloud.  I just finally got my music collection in good working order again with most of the music I listen to most recently on my device - and now with this latest upgrade it appears I will have to start all over again.
    Has anyone else been having this issue?  Is this a known problem?  Am I doing something wrong?

    nope no errors. it goes through the whole syncing processing, saying it's backing up the iphone and what not, but nothing happens on the iphone. i'm thinking i should just restore my iphone, right?

  • ECC 6.0 Upgrade related issue

    Hi Gurus,
    We have our project(SAP-HR) upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 version.
    After data from prev system is shifted to the new system, I am facing an issue with smartform activation.
    In ECC 6.0, I, without even making any changes to a smartform, tried to activate it. However it is not getting activated and giving error : Global Definitions: No component exists with the name int_tab.
    However, int_tab is an intenal table of data dictionary type PERNR declared in the form interface. Using this internal table, data is passed from calling program to this smartform.
    Note that this internal table is also mentioned in the input parameters in the Initialization tab in Global definitions.
    This smartform is Active in the 4.7 version & the functionality is also perfectly working in that system and no changes have yet been made to the smartform in the new system(ECC 6.0).
    One solution we hv discovered is renaming of the internal table, and using this new name in places where this internal table is mentioned which is cumbersome (and not very logically appealing as a solution) as this appllication has many smartforms using exactly similar functionality.

    Structure PERNR exists in ECC 6.
    However number of fields has increased in the structure. (I am sceptical about this being the reason for not allowing activation)
    How do I ensure that the global definitions is correct. Its just the same as in the previous system and moreover if you run the syntax check on global definitions it shows no error(Check successfully executed).

  • Mountain Lion Upgrade causing issues due to hard drive fault

    I have a question about Mountain Lion crashing your hard drive. I upgraded my Macbook Pro 13' several weeks ago afer the release of Mountain Lion. The download took sometime before it completed it's download and completed without incident. Since that time I've had no issues with the softward update, my hard drive or computer.
    However yesterday evening I went to use my computer and the screen after the Apple logo disappeared showed a circle w/a line thru it and turning gears just below it. After reading several forums and posts it seems that the computer cannot find a bootable disk to load up from. I do not understand this as I not changed the HD and the computer was working fine just the day before.
    I tried to do a reinstall of the original OSX system (snow leopard) - it did download but after the computer re-started the system went back to the same screen w/the circle and line thru it. I then restarted computed hitting options to take me into the recovery / disk utility. From their I tried to verify and repair the HD - still same problem (circle w/line), I then just tried to reinstall Mountain Lion (same results).
    WTH is going on - this was a perfectly good computer working fine & now I cannot get it to boot up or run at all? Could this be a software issue due to Mountain Lion or simply a bad HD? Any advice on how best to correct this issue would be appreciated. I use my laptop for dj'ing and have an upcoming gig in 2 weeks. HELP...

    Updated Firm ware
    Computer booted successfully
    entered password computer reacted normaly color adjusted for my user settings
    computer beeps repeatedly untill forsed shut down
    reinstalled Lion worked fine again
    updated to mountan lion
    computer atempts to boot from the SSHD  and fails
    Boots to system diagnostics primary hard drive is invisable to the system
    waited about a week
    booted my system (at a new location)
    Primary hard drive reapeared
    Boots to system diagnostics
    reinstalled Lion worked fine againupgraded to mountan lion again to test a theory
    computer atempts to boot from the SSHD after instalation and fails
    Boots to system diagnostics primary hard drive is invisable to the system
    So its Back to Square one any thoughts coments or general advice?

  • Mavericks 10.9.1 Upgrade = Audio issue (lost 5.1 through HDMI)

    Hello guys and gals,
    I've Macbook pro 15" retina connected as follow
    Macbook Pro -> Sony HT -> LG LED TV (55LA7400)
    The connection is made via HDMI port. Everything was working fine, no issue when I was using previous OS. Apps such as XBMC, etc was able to output 5.1 fine.
    I just upgraded to 10.9.1 and experience Audio issue.
    With TV OFF: I was able to see the 5.1 Selection via Audio Midi Setup. Using the built in test feature, was able to check all 6 speakers fine.
    However, as soon as I turn on the TV, Macbook screen flickers (as usual when ie tries to recognize the TV and enable Video out) I can only select 2CH via the setup.
    This apparently, wasn't the issue prior to the upgrade.

    I should have said - I tried that earlier but I just get:
    'This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.'
    My 17 inch Macbook Pro is pretty old (2009) and I took it over from my son 3 years ago so I wasn't involved with the initial installation.
