SRM service master replication

Dear all,
I am trying to replicate service master data from R/3 to SRM.
I executed the R3AS for the object SERVICE_MASTER, but getting the following error.
Hierarchy for service categories does not exist
Message no. COM_PRODUCT_API005
I excuted the object DNL_CUST_SRVMAS before that but the object never seems to get completed.
Pls can anybody suggest what is being missed.

all basic settings are done on CRM middle ware are done, but not sure what is left.
Reason for error
In comm_hierarchy,
For Hierachy Id: R3PRODSTYP ,
Product subtype SRV_ is not assigned, I had executed the SMOGGEN, but still not appearing.
Because of this object DNL_CUST_SRVMAS doesnt get executed at all, end up in error in SMQ2.
Pls let me know what could be the reason.

Hi All,
My environment is SRM 4.0 Extended Classic.
Can the Service Master Catalog in R/3 be used (transfers/replicated) in SRM 4.0? If so, what is the step by step process?
Also, can there be replication from SRM to backend, and from backend to SRM to keep the catalogs in sync?
We are just trying to get the full functionality out of our services procurement. If any one has ideas and would like to share, please feel free.

Problem:related to material master replication from r3 to srm

hai to all of u my friends....recently i have learned sap srm 5.0..and now i am practicing in my institute from starting configuration with a fresh client.everything has done successfully except replication of material master.while doing material master replications the system throws an error like" product hierarchy has not maintained" and one more error while executing smq2.. like "exception condition :guid forlogsys_changed"raised....thanks in advance

It seems that the logical system name has been renamed or changed. You need to update the config tables. Fix it using Trx BDLS.

Update Condition records of an existing Service master in SRM

Hi All,
I want to develop a functionality to update Condition records like add new Vendor or delete vendor or change Amount etc. of an existing service master in SRM, which can be possible manually by using tcode COMMPR01.
Can you please suggest any standard FM or BAPI name to update existing Service Master. If you please provide sample code to update service master then it will be more helpful for me.

Material Master Replication R/3 to SRM

Hello SRM Experts,
I am in a process of replicating MM from R/3 to SRM server.
This is not a new one,already some materials are loaded into SRM.
Ths issue what I am trying to understand is I have many materials,material Types and material groups added in R/3, but not all flowu2026
I just want to know if I add a new Material Type,Material Group and Materials on R/3 side how do I get them replicated?
What are the tasks that need to be performed on R/3 and SRM for their replication?
I have gone throgh the Blogs of material replication by Vipul,but this is not pointed.
In R3AM1 it is showing the below status...

Running   DNL_CUST_PROD1

Do I need to start the initial Load R3AS again?

I have made sure that i cleared all the queues in both systems
in SMW01 i found the below
Category for material group 4000 does not exist
Message no. COM_PRODUCT_API002
Diagnosis
If material groups are used in the SAP system, they must exist as categories in CRM/EBP before you import materials. When Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 is imported, the material groups are imported automatically and created in the category hierarchy R3MATCLASS (material group).
Procedure
Check whether the material groups have been imported successfully and exist as categories.
Proceed
If necessary, import the Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.
I tried restarting the DNL_CUST_PROD1 but this gives me below msg

I get this message on two different machines installing SQL2014 developer edition, a Windows 7 and a Windows 8 machine. Both machines have SQL2005 through SQL2012 developer machines installed and working great. I have tried uninstalling all SQL2014 stuff and
installing again making sure I was running as an Administrator to no avail.
How do I look at sys.key_encryptionswhen the server will not start to finish installation?

Hi Tom,
Sorry for the delay. We can exclude the media factor since you were able to install it on VM with this media.
If I understand correctly, Shanky said “Abve message can also appear due to corrupt profile so deleteting old profile and creating new one and using this to install would also help.Make sure you always RK on setup.exe and select run as administrator” which
means your user account may be corrupted rather than the Virtual account. You can create a new Windows user account and use it to log into the system. Then, re-try the installation.

Material/service master catalog upload (ECC-CCM)

SRM have 2 possible scenarios to upload the material master data to CCM:
1- Upload material master data from ECC to SRM and, after, from SRM to CCM.
2- Upload material master data directly from ECC to SRM.
Does anybody know the name of the transaction or report in ECC to upload the material/service master catalog directly to CCM?

I have about 3 tricky questions concerning CCM-ECC Integration
1.) Does anybody have any idea on how to upload Material and Service master from ECC 6.0 directly into the CCM 2.0 system. Is there any standard program like we have in SRM called as BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG. I
2.) Also are there any complications or is it possble to integrate CCM 2.0 directly from ME51n? I am aware that PM and PS out-of-the-box can be directly integrated to CCM. Is there a similar way to achieve this functionality. If yes can anybody give me some pointers on this.
3.) Are there any complications involved with uploading service masters and interfacing CCM to EBP or ECC and directly using the service master from CCM to create a Shopping cart (CCM-EBP) or a purchase requisition (CCM-ECC).
I hope some one can throw some light on these questions.

Service Master Prices and Vendors not replicated

Hi All,
We have SRM4.0 and a strange problem wherein we are not able to get the prices per vendor maintained in the Service Master in R/3 replicated in SRM although the Service No, Description,Long Text,UOM,Product category details are getting replicated properly.
Service Masters in R/3 are maintained in AC02,AC03 transactions and the prices and vendors for service masters in ML35,ML39 etc. After replicating the service master initial load object SERVICE_MASTER in R3AS transaction in SRM only the basic details gets replicated and the info records like the vendor and prices for the services. Is there any specific setting needs to be done for maintaining the same as we have the condition types aligned with R/3 and IPC is up and running as well.
Do let me know incase someone can shed some light on the same.

Hi Harshal,
we had similar issue in past.The problem for us was Creation date .We were trying to create a contract with past date. For this there is a setting in ECC which Depending upon the date.(You might have referred already,Any way bringing here to notice ).
As the customizing has been set with a valid from date.Everything before that will be created with a PA segment assignment (first line). So if possible, put the date in present.

Net price zero for SRM service central contract in SAP ECC

Hi
Net price in backend ECC is showing as zero for SRM service central contrracts, all other price fieids are fine expect net prices. We have no issues for material contract.
Does any one had similar issue of net price zero? I have tested this scenrio in couple of SRM 7 landscpape all are with similar behaviour. Is it standard?

I never tried service . but you can see this below symptom for you.I extensively worked on Material contracts.
Are you creating contract from Process contract or Via RFQ
Note 1272305 - Total value wrongly calculated in Contract Service lines
Symptom
We create a Service contract in the R/3 Backend from RFQ. During the transfer we calculate the gross price based on the quantity,price and price unit. (ie) The field ESLL-BRTWR is filled with following formula in the idoc processing. ls_e1edc20-BRTWR
= ( is_item-price * is_item-quantity ) / is_item-price_unit.
AS total value of the service lines is calculated based on the field NETWR which is passed as blank from SRM, during recalculation total value when we change the gross price of one of the service lines in r/3, it is required to fill this field
till PI values are brought correctly till posting to ECC. ?
Note 1123292 - Net Price wrongly calculated in plug-in MAP_BLAORD_SERVICES

2 set stream of DATA comes from SRM as BLOARD and COND_A ..
Even some times when we reprocess failed IDOCS in BD87 in ECC ( comes contract data from SRM as GOA and failed due to some data validation in ECC). now data issue was fixed at Material master level. and
if we forget to reprocess COND_A - BLOARD creates a successfull GOA but net price shows as ZERO for each material and when you post the COND_A data and correct price will be updated in ECC contract. so kindly check price data reaches or not not or price calculation failed in ECC.

Multi-master replication questions for iPlanet 5.0, gurus out there?

I'm using iPlanet Dir Server 5.0 and I note that many gurus out there has
been able
to get this to work, that's good, but I have yet to. I have several
questions, maybe
someone can spend a few minutes and save me hours...
I have a suffix called dc=calient,dc=net. I followed the suggestions in
the
iPlanet install guide and created 2 directory servers
a) suffix o=NetscapeRoot, at some arbitrary port, 4601
b) suffix dc=calient,dc=net, at the usual port 389.
All my searches/create/delete work fine. However, when I try to replicate
with multi-master between 2 machines, I keep getting into problems.
Here's one set of questions...
Q1: do people out there really split their tree from the o=NetscapeRoot
tree?
Q2: The admin guide says the the unit of replication is a database, and
that each replication can only have 1 suffix. Is this true? Can
a replicated db have more than 1 suffix?
Q3: If I also want to replicate the o=NetscapeRoot tree, I have to set
up yet 2 more replication agreements. Isn't this more work? If
I just lump the 2 suffixes together, wouldn't it be easier? But would
it work?
Q4: I followed the instructions to enable replicas on the masters.
But then I tried to create this cn=Replication Manager, cn=config
object.
But what is the object class of this entry? An iPlanet user has uid
as its RDN... I tried a person object class, and I added a password.
But then I keep getting error code 32, object not found in the error
log. What gives? such as
WARNING: 'get_entry' can't find entry 'cn=replication
manager,cn=config', err 32

Hi Steve,
First, please read the 'Deployment Guide'. I think that is easier to
understand when you want to setup multi-master replication. The
'Administrator's Guide' gives you step-by-step instructions, but it may
not help you to understand how to design your directory services.

Whether Vendor master replication & Material Master Replication is applicalbe only to
Plan driven procurement (PDP ) Scenario only (Extended Classic) (or) it is needed for Classic Scenario ?

First of all for any scenario except Stand alone. you need to replicate material and vendor master from backend system. because in SRM we dont have any master data. We purely depends on backend system.

Local contract for service master doesn't picked in PDP

Dear Experts,
We are on SRM 7.0 and in using PDP Scenario. Having created a local contract for service master which is released and acting as a source of supply when creating the shopping cart for the service master, however when purchase requisition is being transferred to the SRM system agains the same service master the shopping cart in available in the sourcing cockpit instead of picking the existing contract. Set the option as "sourcing carried without source of supply" , however this scenario works well for material master but not for service master, please advise me on this fix or any limitation in this version.

MM SRV - Service Master - AC01 and MM01

Please help in these questions regarding External Service Master management we create in AC01.
1.   Is this Service Material is anyway related to MM01 material or they are two completely different materials?
2.   What is common between MM01 Material and AC01 Service Material ?

1. Material(used for material being procured) master and service master(used for services being procured) are two different master details in SAP.
2. service master records to be used while procuring services with item category D, and service master numbers to be entered at service line item level. Same like materials, details like unit, description, service groups, valuation claas needs to be maintained while creation of service master.
4. standard reports are available in SAP to track the services procured based on the service master number.
3 yes. service master data can be used in SRm, all of them can be used.

Service Master Integration from ECC

Hi,
We are on Extended Classic Scenario and we are wondering if we are able to use the Service Master which is replicated from the ECC and use it when creating a Service Type Shopping Cart?
We managed to get the Service Master into SRM and visible in COMMPR01 however when we raised a Service Type SC, we are unable to select the Service although the search help for the Service ID managed to return the result and once click OK, the Service ID is not in the SC. Error message "Product &1 does not exist; check your entries" /SAPSRM/PDO_SC 012.
Anyone knows if the above are possible and if yes, are there any pre-req for this to happen?

Thanks for the reply as we have already managed to resolve the issue. The issue is due to some of the enhancement which we have done previously on the material which has caused the service master not being able to be selected into the SC. We have identified it and fix it.

SRM Service Orders and Entry sheets,

Is SRM service orders able to provide the u2018price changeu2019 field? In the R/3 equivalent Service Order entered with item category Service, the u2018price changeu2019 field is available (table ESLL, field PRS_CHG) and we have a business requirement to have this available when we enter SRM Order Service confirmation sheets in R/3. If a service sheet is created from a SRM PO with item category service, u2018price changeu2019 is greyed out. If a service sheet is created from a service PO entered directly in R/3 the u2018price changeu2019 field is not greyed out for input and can be changed. Please can somebody explain how we can make this field available.
Previous experiences with using functionality this would be highly welcome.

Hi,
You can assign the service master records administered in your company to different groups, according to their usage. Such a group is described by the service category.
To characterize the service categories in more detail, the latter are assigned an organization status. The organization status indicates the areas in which service master records are used.
For example, units of your company may use services provided internally by other units of the company, or procure services externally (from other companies). Your company may also provide services for others.
AS01: If you select this the service master data is at basic data level. That means basic data about the service will be depicted here.
AS02: Service master stored at basic and CO level. To maintain the information at CO level this organizational status is required.
AS03: Service master stored at basic plus purchasing level. For procurement purpose(MM), THIS LEVEL is useful.
Create a po with service activity number in me21n with account assignment category K & and item category D.
For the SES, the creation date would still be same. Only field ESSR-BUDAT (posting date) would get changed.
That shouldn't be a problem, since you would know anyway when the SES was created from ESSR-ERDAT, the SES creation date.
Also the last change date would also be correctly updated.
You have another field Doc Date ESSR-BLDAT which records the date the SES was posted
