SSHR Email Notification Format (Template)

Hello,
We are receiving the workflow notifications as email which works fine. We want all the users to receive HTML emails. By default the system send the notification page as-is to the email. The format of the email received is messed up due to the css/js issues within the email client. Is there any way we can modify the template of the email being sent by the SSHR system. We want to first remove the top banner and then also remove the table heading - both of which is giving formatting issues.
Any heads up appreciated

I had not even noticed this, BUT... I keep e-mail notification OFF, as I follow any thread that I am interested in, in the forums, and do not need any more e-mail. The only thing ON, is an e-mail notification on PM's, as I do not normally look there. All forum activity is OFF.
Now, getting the notifications in the new Jive, was a surprise, but a few clicks, and all was turned OFF again. Too bad that the new Jive could not use our Preferences there, but other than cleaning out my In-box, and changing those Preferences, it was not big deal - just a bit of a surprise.
I think that Phillip has the right idea, and will just trust him, as I do not plan on turning things on, just to check.

  • Is there any way to control or change the email notification format deliver

    Hi,
    Is there any way to control or change the email notification format delivered by iBots? I have created an iBot to deliver the scorecard report to the team with type chosen as 'Attachment (HTML)' option. With this definition of iBot - notification being sent in MIME HTML (.mht) format. Due to some security settings at my email client - the attachement gets quratined because of .mht format. So, I am looking for an option to send the notification only in HTML (.htm) format with which I don't have any issues with my email client?
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • AE Email Notification Format

    The AE Config documentation says that you can use HTML vs Rich text in your email notification but I cant seem to find where you can set that.  Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

    SAP clarification:
    HTML option was mentioned becuase it allows you to use various text formats while rich text is mentioned because it allows you to choose a number of fonts and sizes.

  • OIM Email notification in Provisioning Related Type in Email Template

    Hi,
    I have done the Email Notification for the RequestRelated type in the EmailTemplate where a Resource is granted to a user and the mail goes to a particular User or Group in the Assignment Tab of the Process task. Its ok.
    Now I want to do for the Provisioning related type specified in the Email Template.I tried to attach my Mail Template in the provisioning task related to a particular Resource but mail is not generating .
    Can anyone briefly tell me How to generate mail for the Provisioning Related type ?????

    Have you attached the email definition in the Notification tab of the provisioning task?
    Also, you need to be sure if the task status was reached to start the email notification.

  • Can I insert the name poperty of the RequestedByUser related object of the parent Change Request workitem in a review activity email notification template?

    I am working on a SCSM change control workflow driven by email.
    A lot of my work is based on the information found in this post:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2012/04/03/using-data-properties-from-the-parent-work-items-in-activity-email-templates.aspx#pi158453=4
    This is an excellent post to which my Internet searches continually return. The workflow is about 90% complete.
    My question is can I insert the properties of a related object of the parent workitem in a workflow email notification?
    For example, I want to include the name property of the RequestedByUser related object of the parent workitem object in a review activity notification.

    Thank you for your reply.  I have confirmed my template is using a projection that includes the parent workitem and requested by user.  Where I am having trouble is the notification template syntax used to call the properties of the related
    object of the parent workitem.  The picker in the GUI won't show that related object, so I have no example to follow.  I hope this reply makes sense!

  • Add User Input in Email Notification Template

    Hi all, I'm new to SM and in need of anyone's assistance. I've created a service request and in the template under User Input, I have it requesting the "New Users Name" and the "Start or Termination Date". I'd like to add these 2

  • Email notifications begin sent in text format rather than html format

    Hi all,
    I have encountered a strange issue wherein i get email notifications in text format with all html code in the email(trying to open wf emails in netscape navigator)...but for all others the emails are begin sent in correct and decent HTML format......is there any prefernce that has to be set up in local mail client for me to receive email notifications in HTML format.
    Thanks in advance

    Open the message and see if there are contents in HTML body.
    If you need the message in HTML format, make sure the correct HTML tags are in place in HTML Body.
    If you do not need the message in HTML format, make sure the HTML Body is empty.

  • Differents Email Notifications for each Collaboration Room Template

    Dear all,
    I have two collaboration room templates. I want to know if I can have one Email (Notification) template for Room Template 1 and a second Email (Notification) template for Room Template 2.
    Example:
    For Room Template 1 --- > Invitation Email 1.
    For Room Template 2 --- > Invitation Email 2.
    Cheers,
    Andres.

    Without knowing more about your customizations it's not possible to give you an exact answer. However, the way that I do this is by modifying the underlying workflow.
    I usually do something like this:
    <Action id='0' process='TaskDefinition-Notification-Process'>
        <Argument name='template' value="mytemplate"/>
        <Argument name='to' value='$(toAddr)'/>
        <Argument name='cc' value='$(ccAddr)'/>
        <Argument name='from' value='%%FROM_ADDRESS%%'/>
        <Return from="notificationException" to="notificationException"/>
    </Action>Note the toAddr variable, the ccAddr variable and the single template. You can either build it as one big list of email address and send it out once or use the standard workflow looping techniques and loop over the sub process over and over.
    As with anything Sun IDM, there's a thousand ways to do to this, including hooking into a the viewOptions.process variable to define your own workflow where this can be done.
    Anyway, that's how I solved it.

  • Email notification Template verification error

    Hi
    I'm having a problem with an email notification template. The template works fine in the English (US) setting however when I go to the English (UK) language option and copy the exact template across I get a management pack verification error which seems
    to indicate that the subject line is too long. The code is for a review activity and it pulls information in from parent the parent change/service request.
    You have been assigned Review Activity [$Context/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Id$] for Request $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_ChangeRequest_Library!System.WorkItem.ChangeRequest']/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Id$$Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_ServiceRequest_Library!System.WorkItem.ServiceRequest']/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Id$$Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Id$ - $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_ChangeRequest_Library!System.WorkItem.ChangeRequest']/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Title$$Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_ServiceRequest_Library!System.WorkItem.ServiceRequest']/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Title$$Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItem']/Title$
    Any suggestions on how to resolve this or why there is a limitation for one language and not another

    A copy and paste error was my initial thought however i replaced the entire text in the subject line with the same length of text as above but with the letter a and had the same error. It appears that there may be a character limit on the additional language
    options for the subject.

  • Customer Template that emails a formatted letter.

    I need to create a letter template that will email a formatted letter to the employee.
    Our customer needs to be able to type in the empty fields througout the letter.  Then the letter needs to format to look professional.
    I'm wondering the best way to do this?
    Any examples would be helpful!

    I have published a sample Client Letter format form for you. The user types into the fields on the first page. Floating fields on the second page receive that information and sets it into a letter format.
    When you create your template (and it doesn't have to be saved as a LiveCycle template, I just save mine as a dynamic pdf) I make my "fill-in page" first, carefully naming each field with a unique name. Then I type the paragraph, insert the floating field (on the toolbar under "Insert", name it the same as the fill in field, change the field type to match the fill in field (ie numeric field set to currency, etc), set the binding to global data and then type xfa.layout.relayout(); into the script editor for each fill in field.
    Then as the client fills in the fields on the first page the information sets into the second page and prints out as a form letter.
    I have tried to make the first page not print at all so as not to waste paper but all I managed to do was make it all hidden with a blank page printing out with the letter. Maybe someone could help us both with that problem! Niall tried to help me with that before but for the life of me, I can't get it to work.
    But I learned how to do this just be asking the nice folks on this forum. If I've described this process incorrectly, please let me know. Thanks, all.

  • Customized notification message template in Workflow Builder for iExpense

    Hi Gurus!
    I have a few requirements to change the notification format of the AME Expense Report Approval Message and one of which is to add a due date of the notification in the subject line of the email. So i have created a new message template, added in some attributes and point the notification to it. It works but in the email body it is missing some sections like the instruction text and the Previously Submitted Expenses section. The new message template has all attributes from the old message template so i'm expecting it to behave exactly the same.
    We're on Oracle r12 and i use Oracle Workflow Builder 2.6.3.5.
    Can you please help?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Patricia,
    For
    '358: Activity result code 'RESET' has no transition defined for it. All valid result codes must be modeled with specific transitions or a <Default> transition.',
    you may have a function step defined in your workflow which could have a result type like 'Yes/No' but you may have defined the next step for the result type 'Yes' but not for 'No'. so you have to complete the flow for all of the result type of that function step.
    for,
    '383: Notification activity must be assigned a performer when used in a process.'
    Open up the properties dialog of the notification in your process and click on the 'Node' tab, there at then end you can find a property called 'Performer' assign the following,
    Type->Item Attribute
    Value->Send to Role (or) Send to Email.
    I guess this is a late response, but i just fixed these problem for my workflow and hence found your query !!

  • Password not being included in Email Notification

    I am trying to include the password for a newly-created user, in the body of an Email Notification being sent out.
    But, the password is not being displayed.
    As we all know, IDM uses the following variable for "*Password*" :
    *<Field name='password.password'/>*
    So, I included the password variable in my Email Template, as follows :
    *<Variable name='mypassword'>*
    *<select>*
    *<ref>user.password.password</ref>*
    *</select>*
    *</Variable>*
    But, when the Email is sent, the password is displayed in the email body as follows :
    Password = "*Lighthouse_Fake_Password*"
    How can I get the password to be displayed in the Email?
    Thanks

    Hi Michael,
    since passwords are stored in encrypted format, you can not directly display them using user.password.password.
    You have to first decrypt them. Use below rule by passing account id to it.
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <!DOCTYPE Rule PUBLIC 'waveset.dtd' 'waveset.dtd'>
    <!--  MemberObjectGroups="#ID#Top" lastMod="8" lastModifier="Configurator" name="getUserPassword"-->

      <RuleArgument name='accid'/>
      <block>
        <setvar name='passString'>
          <invoke name='decryptToString'>

                  <ref>:display.session</ref>

                <s>User</s>
                <ref>accid</ref>
              </invoke>
              <s>password</s>
            </get>
          </invoke>
        </setvar>
        <ref>passString</ref>
      </block>
      <MemberObjectGroups>
        <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#ID#Top' name='Top'/>

  • ISE Guest Email Notification (Guest account creation)

    When a guest user creates an account in ISE, it sends a system generated email with the username/password. It says "Welcome to the Guest Portal, your username ise xxx and password is yyy." Is there anywhere in ISE (1.2) to change this text, especially the name 'Guest Portal'? I thought it was in language templates > Configure Miscellaneous Items > Portal Name. But I changed this to the portal name, and it was not reflected in the email. Thanks.

    Josh,
    Right now, it's pretty limited.  Here is the template to be used for formatting the email notifications:
    E-Mail Notification Template
    The following is an example of the login information for the body of an e-mail in an English language template:
    Welcome to the Guest Portal, your username is $username$ and password is $password$
    The $username$ and $password$ strings will be replaced with the username and password values from the Guest User account.
    In the e-mail body, you can use special variables to provide the details for the created guest account. When  using these variables, you must use all uppercase or all lowercase  letters, and you cannot mix them. For example, the string for username  can be either $USERNAME$ or $username%, but it cannot be $UserName$.
    You can use these variables in the e-mail notification template:
    •$USERNAME$ = The username created for the guest.
    •$PASSWORD$ = The password created for the guest.
    •$STARTTIME$ = The time from which the guest account will be valid.
    •$ENDTIME$ = The time at which the guest account will expire.
    •$FIRSTNAME$ = The first name of the guest.
    •$LASTNAME$ = The last name of the guest.
    •$EMAIL$ = The e-mail address of the guest.
    •$TIMEZONE$ = The time zone of the user.
    •$MOBILENUMBER$ = The mobile number of the guest.
    •$OPTION1$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION2$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION3$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION4$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION5$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$DURATION$ = Duration of time for which the account will be valid.
    •$RESTRICTEDWINDOW$ = The time window during which the guest is not allowed to log in.
    •$TIMEPROFILE$ = The name of the time profile assigned.
    This dicument is found here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.2/user_guide/ise_custom_portals.html#wp1015657
    ISE v1.3 should have some improvements and quite possibly some HTML tags.

  • Many of our form submissions do not generate an email notification.

    Any ideas why about 30% of our form submissions do not generate an email notification?  We use FormsCentral for a rental reservation form and we have lost several rentals recently because we never knew about the reservations.  We hate to abandon all of the work we put into making this form work so any help is appreciated. Otherwise, we will leave Adobe very soon.

    Hi,
    The E-mail template is actually works as an HTML or CSS page. You need to use the HTML/CSS formats to send these values in the format as you want. Use <tags> to do the formating of Email template.
    Use function to store multiple values and thn use them into Email
    I hope this will help.

  • OIM 11g - Email Notification with direct link to Approval Task Details

    Hi,
    We wanted to send email notifications to approver with direct link to the approval task details screen from which the user can either approve or reject the request. In OIM 11g OOTB Notification templates such as Request Creation contains the direct link to Request Detail screen which is something like
    http://localhost:14000/oim/faces/pages/Self.jspx?OP_TYPE=LOOKUP;E_TYPE=MY_REQUEST&T_ID=65
    Wondering if there is something similar for Approval Task Details screen as well.
    Any kind of help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Deepa

    If at all you cannot get the direct link for approve/reject then try the actionable email from SOA. Once you have that configured the emails gets approver/reject links so that approvers can directly approve/reject the task from email. If that works for you then you can look at the format of those links in the email and deduce what you need the url as.
