SSIS -SKIP First few ROWS

Hi Experts ,
I am working on SSIS 2008.
I have Excel file as a Source .
Scenario: First 5 Rows contain some Headings which I dont need
My Actual Header Starts from 6th Row and then Data .
How should I used my Excel source to Take 6th Row as Header and Then Data .
NOTE ::
I receive file every Month .
Name of File is same Every Month
Number and Name of Coumns are Fix
Number of Records are not Fix every month
I tried using OpenRowset in Excel sourcei.e Revenue$A6:D6
A6 =MY FIRST COLUMN HEADER
D6= My LAST COULMN HEADER
Package Executed but No data Loaded in Destination SQL Table
Any Help ??

If the first row includes the column names, and the first 10 rows you said don’t include the first row. That means you want to skip the rows from 2 row to 10 row, then we can union two Excel sources to work around this issue. For more details, please refer
to the following steps:
Set the FirstRowHasColumnName property of the Excel Connection Manager to False, so the first row stores the column names in the sheet.
Drag two Excel Sources to the Data Flow Task.
In the Excel Source, use the SQL command below to replace the former(supposing there are three columns in the Excel sheet: col1, col2 and col3):
SELECT F1 AS col1,F2 AS col2, F3 AS col3 FROM
[sheet$A1:C1]
In the Excel Source 1, please type the SQL command below (note that the ‘n’ means the number of rows in the sheet):
SELECT F1 AS col1,F2 AS col2, F3 AS col3 FROM
[sheet$A11:Cn]
Drag a Union All component to the same task, then union those two Excel Sources.

Scrub lag for first few rows of thumbnails

Here's a weird one. iMovie 09 (latest build) - the first few rows of thumbnails are really laggy when you drag over them or try to edit (spinning color wheel). But as you scroll down later in the timeline to "lower" rows, it starts moving just fine.
Trying to figure out what about the higher rows causes the slowdown.
Troubleshooting ideas already tried:
-restarted
-rebulding thumbnails and cache
-disk permissions
-no other programs running
-wifi/bluetooth off

Slideshow with audio skips first few slides

I have a simple slideshow with 50 slides and 5 audio clips. THe main menu consists of one button that starts up the slideshow. When the slideshow ends it should return to the main menu. First play should be the main menu. I set up the links correctly and the Encore preview works perfect. After the disc is burned, ejected, and reinserted, the movie doesn't go to the menu but goes directly to the slideshow. On another try it goes to the main menu but skips the first few slides when the show starts. What can I do to get the DVD to load to the main menu then start from the first slide?
The Begin Slideshow button has a link of slideshow18559... That's the slideshow's name followed by the name of the first slide-I don't think that's right

I don't know why this isn't working; the links do look correct.
Audio can cause issues. mp3's are often a cause. Multiple audios clips on the same Encore timeline can cause issues. Audio gaps of even a few frames, or audio that is slightly shorter or longer than the video/slideshow can cause issues.
If you are putting multiple audio clips in the slideshow, I would take the audio to Premiere, and create one audio clip, and either dynamic link it, or export it as a wav.
Sometimes projects just get messed up, and the problems are resolved by starting a new project.
I prefer making menus the correct size for the Encore project, but some users seem to do fine ignoring this. I don't think this is likely to cause what you are seeing.

You need to use a script task to read file one by one and remove the first 5 rows from the file. The file name/path can be stored as a variable and read it from the script code. Insert the script task inside the foreach loop container just before importing
the file.

I downloaded an album and the first few songs only play to 15 seconds of the song then the skip to the next one. I cant listen to them past those few seconds. What do I do to listen to the whole song?

Return first n rows with skip locked.

Timesten is used from Java using client-server access. We have to replicate rows from TimesTen to another database.
We have parallel job processing rows. While processing, rows are locked:
SELECT FIRST N * FROM TABLE_X FOR UPDATE
The problem is that the first job selects and locks first n rows and other job have to wait until locks are released. Is it possible to skip locked rows, so other jobs would select another set of rows.
With Oracle this can be accomplished using SKIP LOCKED clause. With SQL Server using WHERE Locked IS NULL clause.
Is possible to have this kind of behavior in TimesTen?
Is there some other alternative for replicating rows? XLA API seems to be for this, but it seems a little bit complicated and we have to use direct-access, which is not suitable for our setup.

Unfortunately, TimesTen does not have any option to skip locked rows. I'm guessing that the 'other database' isn't Oracle? If it is you could use an AWT cache group. XLA (or JMS/XLA for Java) is really the best option for 'replicating' in terms of performance etc. It is true that to use it the component that does the 'replication' would have to run on the machine where TimesTen is running but the rest of the app would not have to do so. Mind you direct mode does give much better performance :-)
If you really need to do this through SQL then you'll have to figure out a way to get the different jobs to look at different sets of rows without locking them. Exactly how you might do this of course depends a lot on the application and exactly what it is trying to do. One approach would be to have a column in the table to identify which 'replicator' is currently processing the row. You could use NULL to mean it is not being processed and some id value (could just be a number) to indicate that replicator 1 (or 2 or 3 or ...) is processing it. Replicator 'n' would 'reserve' a set of rows by updating he column to 'n' and committing. Then it would do its work and afterwards update the column again to some other value that means 'replication done'. This may work okay or may not depending on what else the application needs to do concurrently with those rows etc.

First few seconds skip

When I play through iTunes, and my music is on an external hard drive, the first few seconds of almost every song skips. If I "rewind" the second play is fine. Any ideas? Thanks for being out there to help!

Call transaction CJIC using bdcdata and skip first screen

I want to call transaction CJIC and skip first screen. I have set parameters for fields for which I need to pass data. But one field namely display variant has no parameter id. How can I pass value to it and also skip first screen?
I have tried passing its value in bdcdata and also passing ONLI. But it does not run in mode "N". What can be the solution?

fortunately transaction CJIC is selection-screen of an executable program RKPEP012.......so u don hav to use call transaction and instead u can use SUBMIT statement................

If you specify this addition, parameters and selection criteria on the selection screen are supplied from an internal table rspar. You must specify an internal table with the row type RSPARAMS for rspar. The structured data type RSPARAMS is defined in the ABAP Dictionary and has the following components, all of which are data type CHAR:
SELNAME (length 8),
KIND (length 1),
SIGN (length 1),
OPTION (length 2),
LOW (length 45),
HIGH (length 45).
To supply parameters and selection criteria for the selection screen with specific values, the lines in the internal table rspar must contain the following values:
SELNAME must contain the name of a parameter or selection criterion for the selection screen in block capitals
KIND must contain the type of selection screen component (P for parameters, S for selection criteria)
SIGN, OPTION, LOW, and HIGH must contain the values specified for the selection table columns that have the same names as the selection criteria; in the case of parameters, the value must be specified in LOW and all other components are ignored.
If the name of a selection criterion is repeated in rspar, this defines a selection table containing several lines and passes it on to the selection criterion. If parameter names occur several times, the last value is passed on to the parameter.
The contents of the parameters or selection tables for the current program can be entered in the table by the function module RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS.
Notes
In contrast to selection tables, the data types of the components LOW and HIGH in table rspar are always of type CHAR and are converted to the type of the parameter or selection criterion during transfer, if necessary.
When entering values, you must ensure that these are entered in the internal format of the ABAP values, and not in the output format of the screen display.

How to get First X rows

I need to select only the first X (say 10) rows of an ordered result. Because the result set may be millions of rows, I do not like the idea of producing the entire result, including having it ordered, and then only iterating over the first few.
How can I get oracle to only return the first 10 rows?

I have a file which contains first 5 records as dummy records, I want to skip those records and load the rest into RDBMS.

Actually I have converted an excel to CSV format, which is generating first 4 rows as some dummy records. 5th row is my header record. But in hearder record, two column names are same. Thats why while reversing it is giving an error.
With zero in number of columns in header, I am getting the column names as C1, C2...
If not in reversing, can we reject the first records while loading into RDMBS table using an interface?

Call tranasaction with skip first screen in ecc6

Hi,
We are doing upgrade from 4.7 to ecc 6. We are getting an error while running a report( The addition "AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN" can't be used with "CALL TRANSACTION .. USING". ) in ecc6. This is not showing error in 4.7. Call transaction with skip first screen is fine in 4.7. But it is throwing an error in ecc6.
Could anybody provide me the pointers to rectify this error.

Did you pass all the mandatory field values to the calling transaction , Because when you use this addition you need to pass all the mandatory field values then only it works fine. Check out whether you are passing all the mandatory field values.
