SSLException while handshaking: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: decrypt error

Hello everybody,
I am tryining to establish a connection from SAP PI 7.0 to an external web service that requires SSL with client authentication. I am using the SOAP adapter for that. The private key of us and the public key of the web service were installed in the VA in the TrustedCAs view. In the corresponding receiver channel configuration I have ticked "Configure Certificate Authetication" and selected appropriate entries in "Keystore Entry" and "Keystore View".
Whenever I send a message through the channel I am getting though an error during the SSL handshake: Decrypt error.
Below is the SSL debug log
ssl_debug(15): Sending v3 client_hello message to services.bloomberg.com:443, requesting version 3.1...
ssl_debug(15): Received v3 server_hello handshake message.
ssl_debug(15): Server selected SSL version 3.1.
ssl_debug(15): Server created new session 81:ED:F8:61:3B:51:8E:70...
ssl_debug(15): CipherSuite selected by server: TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA
ssl_debug(15): CompressionMethod selected by server: NULL
ssl_debug(15): Server does not supports secure renegotiation.
ssl_debug(15): Received certificate handshake message with server certificate.
ssl_debug(15): Server sent a 2048 bit RSA certificate, chain has 3 elements.
ssl_debug(15): ChainVerifier: No trusted certificate found, OK anyway.
ssl_debug(15): Received certificate_request handshake message.
ssl_debug(15): Accepted certificate types: RSA, DSA
ssl_debug(15): Accepted certificate authorities:
ssl_debug(15):   CN=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
ssl_debug(15):   CN=VeriSign Class 3 International Server CA - G3,OU=Terms of use at https://www.verisign.com/rpa (c)10,OU=VeriSign Trust Network,O=VeriSign, Inc.,C=US
ssl_debug(15):   CN=VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5,OU=(c) 2006 VeriSign, Inc. - For authorized use only,OU=VeriSign Trust Network,O=VeriSign, Inc.,C=US
ssl_debug(15): Received server_hello_done handshake message.
ssl_debug(15): Sending certificate handshake message with RSA client certificate...
ssl_debug(15): Sending client_key_exchange handshake...
ssl_debug(15): Sending certificate_verify handshake message...
ssl_debug(15): Sending change_cipher_spec message...
ssl_debug(15): Sending finished message...
ssl_debug(15): Received alert message: Alert Fatal: decrypt error
ssl_debug(15): SSLException while handshaking: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: decrypt error
ssl_debug(15): Shutting down SSL layer...
My first assumption was that it might be caused by missing public key of other side's server in the TrustedCAs view. Now I have assured that we have this key installed (although I am currious why there is still the "ChainVerifier: No trusted certificate found" message in the log).
Does somebody have an idea what could cause this SSL handshake failure?
Best regards,
Maxim

The XPI inspector gave more understanding of the situation. It shows which certificates the remote server is sending, which client certificate is used for authentication and many other topics. Interesting enough the XPI inspector shows that PI trusts the server key whereas the NWA log at the very same time tells that it doesn't. I have posted an OSS message asking to explain why there is this discrepancy.

    I think you can use Altova XML spy, see following link:
    http://www.altova.com/support_faq_installation.html#q4_install
    Is XMLSpy® 2007 also available for Linux, Unix, Macintosh, OS/2, etc.?
    Since XMLSpy® 2007 is a high-performance development environment, it is written entirely in C++ and is tightly integrated with the Windows operating system. It is also possible to use XMLSpy® 2007 on other operating systems with Windows Emulation Software. More Information can be found on our Platforms page. Please note that we cannot give any technical support or make any warranties regarding the usability of XMLSpy® 2007 in such a scenario.
    Is it possible to install XMLSpy® 2007 on a Citrix / Windows Terminal Server?
    If you wish to install XMLSpy® 2007 on a server such as Citrix or Windows Terminal Server then there are two things to bear in mind:
    A) You MUST purchase concurrent licenses of XMLSpy® 2007 for use in a terminal server environment as opposed to the installed (per seat) licensing model.
    B) No technical support can be provided by Altova for technical issues that may arise as a result of using XMLSpy® 2007 in a Terminal Server environment.

  • Error while sending a report via alert

    Hi,
    I have created an alert to send a message which includes a report link. The alert worked fine, i did receive the report via email.But then once i started creating new alerts , i started getting errors in alert launching.I checked up with the services and found out that Event engine shows up an error which is
    EventEngine:Clause inconsistency between EventEngine and Satellites
    Start Unloading rules.
    Also i have got troubles with the user generated already and which was working well all these while. Now the error i see in Login management of Adminstrator is
    Login information for "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE". This login is not currently known to be a valid login.
    I would be really thankful if someone could help me with this.
    Regards,
    Lathika

    Login information for "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE". This login is not currently known to be a valid login.
    You get the above error message whenever you configure IIS to allow anonymous authentication for the web directory OracleBAM, using the NETWORK SERVICE profile for anonymous logins. You'll need to disable anonymous login for the BAM web directory.

  • How can I localize the alert "error: PANIC: fatal region error detected..."

    My application may corrupt and the operations therefore may fail and post the alert "error: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery ...", and this alert is directly printed in the main process's window.
    My question is how can I do to localize this alert in my thread which just deals with the Berkeley DB database?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You can configure an error callback function. See the run-time error configuration section of the Reference Guide here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/debug/runtime.html
    It sounds like DB_ENV->set_errcall is what you want:

    I have been trying to archive a dvd project in idvd6 but I get an error every time that says "Alert-there was an error while saving" The project never saves. I am trying to save this to an external hard drive. I have checked permissions and all say read and write. Help!!

    If it's like mine, there are two ports. Have you switched and tried?
    Wait a second... Did you ever format that drive as Mac OS Extended? It was probably formatted for FAT32, or whatever The Dark Side uses these days.

  • Issue while creating Component Based Message Alerting in PI 7.31 Dual Stack

    Hi,
    We tried to implement Component Based Message Alerting following the steps mentioned in the below blog.
    http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2012/03/25/michals-pi-tips-component-based-message-alerting
    Ours is PI 7.31 dual stack. However, after setting up the job with my own user id, I am getting the below error inside the log of Jobs tab:
    javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: You do not have permissions: action alertingVP.queue and instance:name alertingVP.queue
    action consumer
    instance jms/queue/xi/monitoring/alert/ALERT-TO-MAIL
    Please let us know what permission is required to set up the job.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi,
    Now I am able to receive alert in my mailbox. But it's coming with improper content.
    I have set up the job at an interval of every 2 minutes in NWA, and in case if only 1 message fails in IE, in ideal case, I should receive only 1 message details in alert.
    However, in every 2 minutes, I am receiving junk data and the number is increasing for the particular scenario for which the alert has been created. Also the Error Category mentioned is showing improper.
    But in table SXMSALERTCONTENT I am able to view only the newly added failed entry.
    An erroneous alert email content is pasted below:
    63 messages failed for "Test_XXX" on "af.s0i.saps0i"
    Root cause: -1
    To navigate to the failed messages in the local message monitor use this link
    The first 1 messages of that data collection:
    "AdapterNamespace": "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System",
    "AdapterType": "File",
    "Channel": "FileSender_XXX",
    "ChannelParty": "",
    "ChannelService": "XXXXX",
    "Component": "af.s0i.saps0i",
    "ErrCat": "",
    "ErrCode": "",
    "ErrLabel": "-1",
    "ErrText": "Configured source directory '\\Outbound\\XXX\\CREMAS' does not exist",
    "FromParty": "",
    "FromService": "XXX",
    "Interface": "Z_CREMAS_SUSMM.CREMAS03",
    "Namespace": "urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages",
    "RuleId": "3a64dd6e1b1d3e58aff62ea70c97cb80",
    "Timestamp": "2013-02-01T09:43:23Z",
    "ToParty": "",
    "ToService": ""
    The failed message however do not relate to the 'source directory does not exist' issue. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

  • Fatal Internal Error source/manager/thread.cpp line 3472 while starting LabVIEW

    When I try to begin LabVIEW 7.1.1 on my mac OS X 10.4, I see the LV logo and then I get the pop-up window:
    LabVIEW.app Alert
    Fatal Internal Error: "source/manager/thread.cpp", line 3472
    LabVIEW version 7.1.1
    You will lose any unsaved work. For assistance in resolving this
    problem, please relaunch LabVIEW, or contact National Instruments.
    When I click on Continue, it kills LabVIEW. I also get 2 other
    windows...one says Investigate Previous Internal Error...which does not
    do anything, irrespective of what I click in that window.
    The other window is called Controls.
    The last message I see on the LabVIEW splash screen is Server: Exported VIs list ok.
    The LV website says I need to make DLLs re-entrant, but I can't even begin LV to solve this problem.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Enduro,
    I would suggest creating a service request for this problem at ni.com/ask. The Applications Engineer will be interested in looking at the error log that is being created, so that we can determine if this problem has occurred before.

  • Fatal:relocation error: While running JDK1.4 on Sun Sparc Generic_106541-08

    Hi,
    I installed the new jdk1.4 on my Solaris-7 machine. Initially I installed 32-bit jdk1.4 and then installed 64-bit jdk1.4 as indicated on your (sun's) installation page. I used executable binary version of installation for installing the software.
    The installation was successfully completed. But while I run java command then it gave following error
    Error: failed /export/home/j2sdk1.4.0/jre/lib/sparc/client/libjvm.so, because ld.so.1: ./java: fatal: relocation error: file /export/home/j2sdk1.4.0/jre/lib/sparc/client/libjvm.so: symbol __1cG__CrunSregister_exit_code6FpG_v_v_: referenced symbol not found
    Why I am not able to execute any java command with this version? On the same machine I am able to run jdk1.2 and jdk1.3
    Please advise on it. It will be of great help If I get some suggestion.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ashish

    In particular, patch 106327-14 seems to solve the problem.

  • [CS3] Is there a way to stop the modal alert on EVERY SINGLE ERROR during a bulk update?

    I've inherited quite a mess I'll admit -- I've got ~ 8000 pages each with different dreamweaver templates with the entire site being in a varying state of disrepair.  I need to perform a global change -- I'm thinking the way to go about this is to update the templates (thre are ~40 of them, not nested) and let the process run through. However, I've encountered difficulties.
    After about ~2300 files loaded into the site cache, dreamweaver crashes -- there is no error, it's an unhandled exception.... it consistently crashes at this point.  I'm not sure if this is a specific page causing the problem, or if it's that I'm trying to load 8K files into the site cache....  So anyway, with it crashing consistently trying to build the site cache, I basically press "stop" whenever it tries, and that seems to abort the building and the 'update pages' screen comes up and tries to update the files.
    My next problem is that there are countless errors in each of these pages and templates -- ranging from the 'template not found' when an old or outdated file is referencing a template that has been deleted -- to various mismatched head or body tags.  Of course, and this is probably the most annoying thing I've ever encountered,  this bulk process that should run over 1000s of files without interaction seems to feel the need to give me a modal alert for every single error.  The process stops until I press 'OK'
    I'm talking update 5-10 files, error... hit 'return', another 5-10 files are processed, another alert, hit 'return' -- rinse and repeat.  Oh, and I made the mistake one time of hitting 'return' one too many times -- oh yes, this will STOP the current update because default focus is on the 'Stop' button, for whatever reason. and if I want to get the rest of the files, I need to run it again -- from the start.
    Is there a way to silence these errors?   They're already showing up in the log, I wouldn't mind going through it once the entire site has been udpated to clean thing up ... but I'm updating quite literally thousands of pages here, I would wager that 1/3 of them have some form of an error on it... do I really need to press "OK" two thousand times to do a bulk update with this program?
    Any tips from the pros?

    This one might help.

  • Alerts for SXMB_MONI mapping errors, RWB errors

    Hi,
    We are having solman 7.0 with EHP1/oracle on HP-UX.
    I have to configure CCMS alerts for SXMB_MONI mapping errors, RWB errors for PI system(SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.1).
    I cant find any MTE related to  SXMB_MONI mapping errors or RWB errors under the PI system in my CEN.
    So, can anyone please guide me to configure this?
    Thanks
    Nanda

    Hello Nanda,
    you have to configure ALert Categories in the Alert Framework (ALM) before any MTE are shown in CCMS. And then you would see the MTE in the local CCMS of your PI system.
    Configuration steps are descirbed in the PDF "Setup Guide for Interface Monitoring" under http://service.sap.com/bpm > Media Library > Technical Information. In thisdocument you can also learn how the CCMS MTEs can be integrated with Business Process Monitoring in SAP Solution Manager. And actually BPMon provides some new monitoring capabilites for the Java part of PI that are not covered via CCMS at all.

  • Alerts for content conversion errors

    Hi All,
    Can we configure alerts for content conversion errors:
    What my assumptionis is, due to any error in file , if content conversion fails, that information would come as alert would be useful for me.
    Thanks,
    venu.

    Hi,
    The Alerts can be raised for Adapter Errors. If the File Adapter goes into any reason then you can raise the Alert.
    YOu can configure Alert Rules for the Same.
