SSO implementation through IIS proxy

I am  implementing SSO through IIS proxy. when I tried add the iis_sso.dll to IIS ISAPI filters tab, Its showing red color(which says that it is inactive). Please tell me how to make it green (Active).

Ramesh,
Which version of EP? I am assuming as well you have IIS 6.0? Also, ISAPI.dll is no longer supported.

  • IIS Proxy SAR file needed

    Hi all:
       I would like to implement the IIS Proxy SSO solution. Is there anybody can send me the IIS Proxy SAR file ?
       I cannot find it in service.sap.com/patches
       my mail : [email protected]
       I will give you the reward points.
       thanks.

    Hi,
    To my knowledge IISProxy is not supported/delivered by SAP anymore. See the OSS note 886214 for details. You can use WebDispatcher as reverse proxy and SPNego for SSO authentication. They are supposed to be replacements for what you could do with IISProxy.
    So I doubt you will find IIS Proxy inside Service Marketplace. Doesn't mean that you cannot get it anywhere else though.

  • Implementing SSO using Microsoft IIS with OBIEE 10.1.3.3.2

    We are running OBIEE 10.1.3.3.2 on Windows 2003 server and want to impement Single-Sign-On (SSO) using Microsoft IIS. We set up the SSO according to chapter #8 of the deployment guide but it doesn't work :when opening the web login pages of the OBI application it still ask the user for authentication.
    Also, according to the installation guide the SSO feature is deployed when chosing "Advanced installation type" during the installation. This advanced installation type requires the Oracle Application server. We have not installed Oracle Application server in our environment, and we chose "Basic" installation.
    Is the SSO functionality available without Oracle Application server? What are the steps to setup SSO in our environment?

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing the same issue with IIS. Did you find any resolution in the meanwhile?
    Please let me know...
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi,
    1)in that document they have used 10g webcache as reverse proxy... but in my case already modproxy in place can i use this modproxy in place of 10g webcache..?A number of options exist for choosing a reverse proxy -- See (Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Configuration in a DMZ [ID 380490.1]), Appendix D: Reverse Proxy Configuration
    It is also explained in this article.

    2)i have 2 web nodes loadbalancing through reverseproxy, do i need to configure the external web node on both the web nodes ..according to the above doc..?You do not need to have a dedicated reverse proxy for each web tier node (see the second diagram in this doc).

  • SAP IIS Proxy being obsoleted for non-NTLM usage

    Following a quite challenging support case with SAP I was told by someone involved in SAP IIS Proxy development that SAP IIS Proxy is being obsoleted for non-NTLM usage and that SAP Web Dispatcher will be recommended from now on. SAP IIS Proxy is only required (and recommended) for NTLM usage (eg. Single Sign-On from Windows).
    I was also told that a note will be released in the near future describing this change. I thought I would share this piece of information with the SDN community since it can be of value for people in on going implementations.

    Hi Samuli,
    You can find information about this on:

  • Pacman/wget through ftp proxy with user@site auth(tis fwtk?)

    hi
    i'm trying to upgrade arch at work.
    in debian i had to configure apt like this:
    ftp
    Proxy "ftp://<user>:<pass>@proxy_ip";
    /* Required script to perform proxy login. This example should work
    for tisfwtk */
    ProxyLogin
    "user $(PROXY_USER)";
    "pass $(PROXY_PASS)";
    "user $(SITE_USER)@$(SITE)";
    "pass $(SITE_PASS)";
    Timeout "120";
    /* Passive mode control, proxy, non-proxy and per-host. Pasv mode
    is prefered if possible */
    Passive "false";
    i exported http_proxy and ftp_proxy env. vars.
    and told pacman to use wget (the default XferCommand in pacman.conf)
    of course pacman/wget can't get anything through the proxy because of the missing user@site auth.
    any chance i can get something similar to work with pacman/wget?
    TIA

    sry, i forgot to mention. normal http proxy-ing is working. but there is some kind of pop-up virus scanner implemented, i only get the pop-up HTML code when i try to use it with wget.
    the ftp proxy is more like a a gateway i guess.

  • SSO, LDAP Authentication & IIS

    Hi All,
    I am trying to config the sso with the iis,
    1. after configuring the LDAP I manage to login to the dashboard with user "richard"
    2. but when I am trying to enter with "Domain_name\richard" I am getting an error massage "invalid username password.
    3. I configure the sso to work with the biee and the iis.
    4. when trying to login, I am getting an error massage "not logged in"
    5. in the log file I can see that the biee get "Domain_name\richard" as username and not "richard" and that is the reason for the failure.
    how can I solv this problem
    Best Regards,
    Ronen

    Hi,
    - you would need LDAP configured on your BOE Server
    - you would need SAP Authentication configured on your BOE Server
    -your SAP Portal needs to pass on the LDAP part to BOE or
    - your portal can pass on the SSO Token
    if you portal passes on the SSO Token - then InfoView needs to be configured for SSO with SAP - see here:
    Portal Part 1
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2010/03/29/sap-businessobjects-enterprise-sap-enterprise-portal--part-1-of-4
    Portal Part 2
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2010/03/30/sap-businessobjects-enterprise-sap-enterprise-portal-part-2-of-4
    Portal Part 3
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2010/04/08/sap-businessobjects-enterprise-sap-enterprise-portal--part-3-of-4
    Portal Part 4
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2010/04/21/sap-businessobjects-enterprise-and-sap-enterprise-portal--part-4-of-4
    but for sure you will need SNC configured between the BOE Server and the source system - assuming BW for now - so that you can combine the authentications.

  • Mobile me/icloud find my iphone through a proxy server?

    Hi All,
    I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so if it's not please let me know where is best.
    I have a fleet of 600 ipads who are forced to run through a proxy server via a 3g connection. Up untill last week I could trace all these iPads via mobile me or icloud and use the find my iPhone feature. In this last week I seem to have lost this ability. All iPads are coming up with "no location". Mixture of iOS5 and variations of iOS4
    If I turn off the proxy on the iPad I can trace the iPad.
    me.com, apple.com amd icloud.com are all allowed through the proxy.
    I cannot see anoy other banned traffic with a web address I can unblock.
    I really just need to know what else I need to allow out via the proxy to get this working again? I'm guessing something has changed in Apple world as the proxy hasn't changed.
    Thanks

    Hi - did you have any luck with this? I have a similar problem, but only on a private APN through our proxy. I've managed to allow all the URLs to get the iCloud account registered for each device via the APN/proxy, but they do not appear on my icloud.com device view. If I remove the APN, therefore our network proxy is not used, it works fine.
    Thanks

    Hi Subramanyam,
    There is a very simple way to invoke web service through code using ServiceFactory classes. See if you can access this link[http://fmwdocs.us.oracle.com/doclibs/fmw/E10285_01/appslib7/doc.1111/e10308/uc_adf_to_adf.htm#BDCEDDDC]. Looks like creating proxy through Jdev and writing client code using ServiceDelegateImpl is a very costly approach, it creates lot of files and it fails to invoke service when SAML is enabled in the server side.
    If you could not access this link, follow these steps
    1. In connections.xml
    <Reference name="{http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/sales/territoryMgmt/territories/territoryService/}TerritoryService" className="oracle.jbo.client.svc.Service" xmlns="">
    <Factory className="oracle.jbo.client.svc.ServiceFactory"/>
    <RefAddresses>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="serviceInterfaceName">
    <Contents>oracle.apps.sales.territoryMgmt.territories.territoryService.TerritoryService</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="serviceEndpointProvider">
    <Contents>ADFBC</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="jndiName">
    <Contents>TerritoryServiceBean#oracle.apps.sales.territoryMgmt.territories.territoryService.TerritoryService</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="serviceSchemaName">
    <Contents>TerritoryService.xsd</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="serviceSchemaLocation">
    <Contents>oracle/apps/sales/territoryMgmt/territories/territoryService/</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="jndiFactoryInitial">
    <Contents>weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="jndiProviderURL">
    <Contents>t3://adc60108fems.us.oracle.com:6046</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="jndiSecurityPrincipal">
    <Contents>SALES_ADMIN</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="jndiSecurityCredentials">
    <Contents>Welcome1</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    </RefAddresses>
    </Reference>
    2. Create a java file with a main method, sample code to invoke service
    import commonj.sdo.helper.DataFactory;
    import oracle.jbo.client.svc.ServiceFactory;
    public static void territoryGet(){
    String TERRITORY_SERVICE_NAME = "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/sales/territoryMgmt/territories/territoryService/}TerritoryService";
    TerritoryService terrService = (TerritoryService)ServiceFactory.getServiceProxy(TERRITORY_SERVICE_NAME);
    DataFactory dataFactory = ServiceFactory.getDataFactory(terrService);
    // Create Territory
    Territory territory = (Territory)dataFactory.create(Territory.class);
    territory.setTerritoryLevel(1L);
    territory.setStatusCode("FINALIZED");
    java.util.Date currentDate = new java.util.Date();
    Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
    cal.setTime(currentDate);
    territory.setEffectiveEndDate(new java.sql.Date(cal.getTimeInMillis()));
    territory.setEffectiveStartDate(new java.sql.Date(cal.getTimeInMillis()));
    List<Territory> lst = terrService.findTerritoriesInPartition(territory, "PRODUCTION");
    System.out.println("Size: " + lst.size());
    I also had succeeded using ServiceDeleteImpl, but i prefer ServiceFactory which is very simple. I can also share how to achieve using the proxy which jdev generates.

  • How to use RDP client through a proxy ?

    Hi,
    we have some users in our LAN that have to connect to external RDP servers.
    Those servers don't use RDP Gateway (and we are not the owner of those servers).
    We dont want to open specific trafic from our LAN to those IP Adress on port 3389; we prefer to let this trafic goes through our proxy server (for security reason, because the direct connection will not be supervised).
    So, my question is : Is there a way to configure the RDP Client (the official one or another one) to connect through a local proxy instead of trying to directly connect to the external IP address of the RDP Server ?
    Thank you

    You could do this with an ssh tunnel and putty very easily. Most web proxies won't actually allow port forwarding like that and restricted to 80 and 443.
    If you want to know how to do it with a ssh tunnel and putty let me know.
    Opening outgoing 3389 from one internal subnet to specific external IP is not such a security risk. Just don't open inbound 3389 from those hosts and you should be fine?
    I am not sure if outbound RDP will require inbound ports to be opened. Its quite rare that any external RDP is opened in my experience as its such a security risk (on the part of the external rdp hosts).
    ITs much better to VPN to the external hosts then initiate local (via vpn) rdp connections.

  • IIS (proxy) plug-in and gif images

    I was wondering if anyone has run into the problem of not having the linked images load/show up that within a jsp going thru the iis proxy plug-in setup?

    Hello,
              If the GIF images are located on the WebLogic Server, then you need to setup
              IIS to proxy .gif to WebLogic as well.
              It is recommended to place the GIf images on IIS as static content should be
              served by IIS for performance reasons.

    Hi Raja Sekhar,
      Thanx for the quick reply.
      If i have got you point right, you are telling me to right a program that will fetch the PO's and push the data into our Interface.
    Let me explain you the complete scenario, we already have a ECC to SUS thrgh PI implemeted for the same PO's generated. Our requirement is that depending on the vendor details in PO's we have got to route the PO details to either SUS or BPM.
    I had thought of writing a prgm but the abapers feel that a standard BADI for the same would lessen their efforts.
    Meanwhile can you explain with a little more detail the standard approach you are referring to... probably some material relating to this would help us...
    thanx a lot..
    waiting for your reply,

    Hi all,
    Is it possible to have 1 IIS proxying to 2 or more different

    Maybe 2 or more iisproxy.ini (or different sections in one) depending on iisforward

    MatchExpression "/pathB/*" WebLogicHost=hostB|WebLogicPort=7003|CookieName=CookieB|ErrorPage=/LogoutB.htm

    TIA.

    Issue:
    How can IIS 4 or IIS 5 be setup to proxy from one IIS server to
    multiple WLS servers.
    For example:
    http://iisserver/myapp --> proxy http://wls1:7001/test
    http://iisserver/myapp2 --> proxy http://wls2:7001/test
    Resolution:
    Proxying to different weblogic instances with one IIS Server can be
    accomplished by using IIS Virtual Directories.
    a) Create a Web site and two virtual directories for it.
    b) Create two directories for the two virtual directories and copy
    iisproxy.dll to each of the directories.
    c) Create iisproxy.ini files in each directory created at step b. One
    for proxying to WebLogic Server A and another for WebLogic Server B.
    d) Register each iisproxy.dll to each of the virtual directories with
    IIS by specifying the appropriate mime-type. If you want to proxy everything
    for that virtual directory, then you will specify a mime-type of *.
    Please note that specifying a mime-type of * will not work with IIS 4.
    e) Make sure you set the Application Protection to HIGH for each
    Virtual Directory.
