SSO using WEBGUI (through ITS) to backend R/3 doesnt work

Hello All,
We are using NW04 SP14 and trying to achieve SSO through login tickets to backend R/3 System (4.7).
So far I got it right through WIN GUI but through WEB GUI it doesnt work.
We did set ~mysapcomusesso2cookie = 1; ~login and ~password as empty in the global.srvc file on the ITS server.
When I use the WEB GUI, it shows me the ITS Login page asking for Login and password.
I also checked the cookie by using "javascript:document.cookie", this is what i got:
"<i><b>saplb_*=(J2EE4017100)4017150; PortalAlias=portal; JSESSIONID=(J2EE4017100)ID0757548650DB10548473283783783936End; MYSAPSSO2=AjExMDAgAA5wb3J0YWw6d2RheWFuZIgAE2Jhc2ljYXV0aGVudGljYXRpb24BAAdXREFZQU5EAgADMDAwAwADRU5QBAAMMjAwNjAxMTgxNzQxBQAEAAAACAoAB1dEQVlBTkT%2FAPUwgfIGCSqGSIb3DQEHAqCB5DCB4QIBATELMAkGBSsOAwIaBQAwCwYJKoZIhvcNAQcBMYHBMIG%2BAgEBMBMwDjEMMAoGA1UEAxMDRU5QAgEAMAkGBSsOAwIaBQCgXTAYBgkqhkiG9w0BCQMxCwYJKoZIhvcNAQcBMBwGCSqGSIb3DQEJBTEPFw0wNjAxMTgxNzQxMzZaMCMGCSqGSIb3DQEJBDEWBBQtYG1bqNgV1TVHdWuzdb%2FGA%2BVV4TAJBgcqhkjOOAQDBC8wLQIVANL17BTacNfsQ8TEbLaBIVBvR2EiAhQPfWyw2s8lAX2qVgEq7%2BHrVpsmSw%3D%3D</b></i>"
This shows that cookie is being generated by Portal.
These are the entries in the global.srvc file:

Can you guyz guide me to get this done ?
Thanks in advance.

I got it. I accessed the portal by using:
http://myportal.companyname.com:50000/irj and it started working. But when i use http://myportal:50000/irj it doesnt work.
So in future do I need to use http://myportal.companyname.com:50000/irj to access the portal?
Can someone tell me the reason why it does it ?

my idpod went through the washing machine, and now the light doesn't come on, but everything else still works. is there any way to fix it or am i out of luck?

How long did you let it dry before trying to use it? Put it in a cool, dry place for 5 - 7 days and see if it works after that time frame.
If that doesn't work you can try a 3rd party repair site such as http://www.iresq.com or Google for more.

  • Problem with Open document SSO using websphere.

    Hi All,
    I have a issue,
We configured AD SSO using websphere and its working fine but when we try to login to the open document SSO using websphere it prompting for login credentials.
Is there any steps needed for configure open document SSO using websphere.
We made all the changes in web.xml file for the Open Document ,same as in Infoview web.xml file.
When we launch the Open Document, it prompts for the login screen, we get username and passwd fields we do not get the authentication drop down,if we give the AD credentials , we get "Enterprise Authentication error" .We feel the default authentication mode is taken as "Enterprise".
We have made changes in the web.xml for open document to have authentication.dafault as "secWinAD", also ,for test purpose we made the authentication. visible as "true" but the changes were not taken, we have redeployed the war files.
Any one please help on this.
    Environment Details-
    BOBJ XI R3.1 SP2
    Web Sphere 6.1.0.25  .
    Thank you in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bill.

The same settings in the infoviewapp web.xml must be applied on the opendocument web.xml. Also you must be on XI 3.1 FP1 or higher. There is currently an Edge issue being investigated.

  • How to use the integrated ITS server in WAS6.40 for WEBGUI

    Hi,
I am testing the Portal 6.0SP6 on WAS6.40SP7.
Using User Mapping, I am able to connect and call some transaction to R/3 System (4.6c) and the ITS servers for the R/3 system.  If I am going to use webgui to call a transaction, do I need the ITS server at all?  The reason I asked because I thought WAS6.40 came with an embedded ITS server.
If I can make use of the integrated ITS server, how do I configure the system connection?
    Thanks,
    Edmond wong

I have read the past posts, but I am still not clear... We are implementing mySAP ERP 2004.  This will include ECC 5.0 and EP 6.2.
We currently have R/3 4.6C and EP5.5.  From EP 5.5 I have users executing R/3 transactions directly from EP using the standard Master iView.  This traffic goes via the ITS virtual instance for the R/3 system.
I am trying to decide if I need to setup a separate ITS to continue to do what we do now OR if the direct call of a transaction from EP6.2 using the SAP supplied Master iView can be accomplished using the Internal ITS on ECC 5.0.  We do not have the DEV systems set up so I cannot test.
    Any comments?
    Thanks,
    Rich

  • Passing parameters to Transactions from Web dynpro Application through ITS

    Hi,
i need to call a transaction from Web dynpro through ITS. On action from web dynpro application, i am concatenating the respective parameters mentioned below along with URL. The problem is one parameter(VARIANT) is being passed to the t-code CAT3 correctly. The next mandatory parameter(PERNR) is not passed to the respective field. Here is the URL Code:
    CONCATENATE 'http'
    '://' host ':' port
    '/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/?sap-client=&~transaction=' 'CAT3'
    '%20TCATST-VARIANT=' lv_name2 '&CATSFIELDS-PERNR=' lv_name1 INTO url.
    Called T-Code CAT3
    Passing Parameters are:
    Data Profile TCATST-VARIANT
    Pernr: CATSFIELDS-PERNR

  • After having SSO user password through url not working

    Hi guys,
We have an Institutional portal and BW portal to publish reports. Before the SSO was configured we had some UrlIViews where we fixed a user and password through the url, ie:
      http://myportal.net:50400/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?TEMPLATE=TMP01&sap-client=200&j_user=user1&j_password=pwd1
    It worked fine.
Recently SSO (with SapLogonTickets) has been configured between the two portals.
I have my same user on both servers and SSO its working, even though the URL sends another user, I log on to the bw portal as my own user.
Some people do not have a BW user, so when they click the url, a login is presented with a default user (user1) and password in blank ready for input. I guess because it couldnt do a SSO.  The problem is that if they introduce the password(pwd1), or even if they change for another valid username and password, the portal rejects all attempts to log in.  Such as if tried to log in with an non existing user (using the SSO).
Is there a way override SSO when there is no user, such as it is working in the same portal but with BW R3?
    Thanks,
    help will be aprecciated

    Hi Benjamin,
I have not solved it yet as I'm delving into Flash Remoting to BC4J issues. ARRRRGGGGG!
However, I'm thinking that there may be a solution using "mod-rewrite processing" within the httpd.conf file. If I can use Regular Expressions to change the "case" in mod-rewrite then I can probably fix it. Have to dust-off my Apache Docs.

    Hi Tom,
Sorry for the delay. We can exclude the media factor since you were able to install it on VM with this media.
If I understand correctly, Shanky said “Abve message can also appear due to corrupt profile so deleteting old profile and creating new one and using this to install would also help.Make sure you always RK on setup.exe and select run as administrator” which
means your user account may be corrupted rather than the Virtual account. You can create a new Windows user account and use it to log into the system. Then, re-try the installation.

  • Parallel How many times user can login to the SAP system through ITS

    Hello all
We are using the ITS ---620 and following 46D R/3 system
    R/3 system details:
    Kernal :
    kernel release :46D
    O/S :SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-05 sun4us
We would like to now, At a time How many times user can login to the SAP system through ITS
Kindly letus know  if any one have idea about parameter which can restrict the end users to u201CNu201D times/ sessions.
Transaction SITSPMON/SMICM are not working in R/3 system as it is 46D.
We found that parameter u201Clogin/disable_multi_gui_loginu201D works with SAPgui logons.
System logons using the Internet Transaction Server (ITS) or Remote Function Call (RFC) are not affected by this Parameter u201Clogin/disable_multi_gui_loginu201D
I need similar parameter u201Clogin/disable_multi_gui_loginu201D for the ITS users.
    Thanks

I have searched all docs and notes.
Everytime the answer is PArameter for multi_gui_logonis not applicable for SAP Gui for HTML ( Browser )
The functionality does not exist for SAP Gui for HTML.

  • Problem about SSO using logon ticket  with user mapping

    Hi everyone ,
I had done SSO with Portal , BW and R/3 system.
I use logon ticket with user mapping .
When user name is same in Portal as in R/3 system, or user name is same in Portal as in BW , user can access R/3 transactions and BW report without logon.
There are some Portal users name which are different with R/3 user and  BW user. And I done the user mapping for these  user.
But some user mapping works fine, but most of them can't work, means that most of them need to enter mapped user ID and password.
    What's the reason?
When SSO using logon ticket with user mapping, the Portal user which is different with R/3 user and BW user,  can they access R/3 transaction iview and BW report iview without logon?

    Hi Chen,
What you have done is correct. But the problem lies here.
Since you are using the same system object for accessing the iview, where the ticket method is set to SAPLOGONTICKET in the user Management property of the system object.
To avoid this create another system object like the previous one but set the logon method to UIDPW and select admin, user from the drop down box. Also create a system alias for this system.
Now create another iview like the previous one but link this iview to the new system. Now do the user mapping for the users which are different in portal compared with R/3. Now you should be able to login without any problems.
Another important point is login to portal with Fully qualified domain name. In the ITS property of the system object also give the FQDN.
    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Arun
