Staffing Manager unable to see resources

Hi,
I have assigned a "Person" as a Staffing Manager for a Org Unit in HR.
Now when the Person logins to RPM, he does not see all his direct/indirect reportees under "Resource Management" in Portfolio Management.
Could someone please guide me here.

Yes, this logon user has the resource manager role, but still no resources under him.
Just to summarize, these are steps I have done so far.
1) Created Org Unit in HR. Perfomed assignments to incorporate other Org Units under the initially created Org Unit.
2) Created a staffing manager ( tried assigning as "Person" and "User" ) and assigned it to main Org Unit.
3) Ran PFAL to transfer all objects.
4) Made sure the staffing manager has resource manager roles in RPM, but when I login I do not see any resources under him.
Could you please confirm if the steps are right and guide me on next steps.

I have a Manager when he clicks on the calender option he is unable to see all the activities scheduled for a particular employee in his calender viwe whereas if i check that particular employee's calender he has all the details of the activities.
Why is the manager unable to see all the activites in his view.
I have chekced for the Activities (by employee)subscription for teh Manager's site, that exists.

Hi,
the calendar functionality is not based on subscriptions but on the assigned employees for an activity.
In other words a team hierarchy based (only) on subscriptions is not reflected in MSA.
Therefore activities are only displayed in the calendar TS if the current user is assigned as responsible.
If you really want to see all activities of all employees in the manager's calendar then these employees need to maintain this manager as (additional) responsible person for their activities.

Unable to see Remote App and Desktop Connection in Group Policy Management Editor

I am unable to see the Remote App and Desktop Connection in Group Policy Management Editor on my 2012 R2 DC. I am therefore not able configure the connection URL in Access RemoteApp and desktops in our Windows 8.1 client environment.
Within the Group Policy Under User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components all I see is:-

Remote Desktop Connection Client
Remote Desktop Session Host
But NOT
Remote App and Desktop Connection
Which I need. Is there anyway of adding this?

Unable to see server nodes in sap management console

I am unable to see servernodes in sap management console.
I am getting error like sapstartsrv.exe-application error ,

You get back your MMC , please do the following steps.
1. Go to Run and type MMC.
2.Go to file and select add/remove snap in ( alt+m).
3.Click on add
4.Select the SAP system from there.
Save the MMC console which you have created now....This should work fine.

Group Owner unable to see members

Hello All,
I posted this question a while back but never got an answer so I thought I'd repost it. I've run into an issue where when a security group owner logs into the FIM portal they see the groups they are managing but are unable to see a list of
members of the group. However when I log in as an FIM administration and I look at the same group I see all members. How do I allow the group owner to manage his own group by granting him access to read the membership. Is there a specific Search Scope or MPR
that needs to be enabled besides the following.
MPR's that are enabled
Security group management: Owners can read selected attributes of group resources
Security group management: Owners can update and delete groups they own
Navigation Bar Resources that are enabled as BasicUI
Security Groups (SG's)
My SGs

Default values here:
Half-seen attributes are: Manager; MiddleName; Mobile Phone; Time Zone
Is this user a part of this group as well? If so maybe try to enable MPR named User management: Users can read attributes of their own
also?
Another way to check what should be enabled is:
In Management Policy Rules view, click Explore.
On Find tab, leave first option selected.
On Criteria tab, select: Read resource, Only permission granting...; Include disabled ...; Requestor: owner. Target Resource: group
Check MPRs listed and check which of them are disabled :)
Security group management: Owners can read selected attributes of group resources
Security group management: Users can read selected attributes of group resources
Group management: Group administrators can read attributes of group resources

Staffing manager checkbox in project authorizations

Hello!
We made a few tests on authorizations at project level, and we don't understand the use of "staffing manager" checkbox.
We use mainly project roles with type Staffing by Resource Manager via Authorization. Each role is linked to a Organisationa Unit (staffin process), and the staffing manager of this Org Unit (from the HR Org Struct) can see the project roles in his/her staffing view. This works perfectly.
SAP Help says: If you are a staffing manager, the system displays all project roles with the staffing type Staffing by Resource Manager via Authorization and these are staffed by resources in the worklist of the external resource management application.
When we flag this checkbox, we don't see any difference in the behaviour. A Staffing manager sees the same data. If we flag this checkbox at project level to an other user that is not defined as a Staffing Manager in HR, there is no effect after in his/her staffing view.
Can anyone explain us the usage of this staffing manager checkbox?

Is it not the staffing scenario "resource manager via responsible organization" (defined in the project role type) that you use?
I think the checkbox you mention is used if you assign the resource manager directly in the project via authorization (instead of via the org unit in the staffing process tab). In these cases the staffing scenario in the project role type shoud be "resource manager via authorization".

Users and Group Owners are unable to see their groups

Hello all,
I have an issue where security group owners are unable see/read any groups that they own. I have enabled the following MPR's but still nothing please help.
Group management: Group administrators can create and delete group resources
Group management: Group administrators can read attributes of group resources
Group management: Group administrators can update group resources
Security group management: Owners can read selected attributes of group resources
Security group management: Owners can update and delete groups they own
Security group management: Users can read selected attributes of group resources
Also when a user logs into the portal they are unable to see any Security groups listed under MY SG Membership. However when we check the group membership they are indeed part of the group both in FIM portal
and AD.

Reason might be that user's don't have access to group objects at all or are not able to read some of attributes of a group. Also make sure that BasicUI keyword was added to the specific elements of UI used in group management - this includes navbars but
also search scopes which are used for group filtering.
On the MPRs side:
Make sure that your Security group users set was not modified - maybe people are filtered out from these MPRs.
Use explore function in MPR part of a portal to check what actual MPRs are being triggered when user tries to access group object.

Even i have the base license for my ASA 5510 which is showing all the 4 interfaces in sh ver. I don't think so license would be an issue. There should be some IOS code bug that needs to be upgraded. If this goes for an OS upgrade it should get resolved.
Its not showing up in sh ver . As Karsten said he might be running on old IOS version.

Unable to see 'Search Dialog Box Component' option

In trying to follow Thilo Brandt's article to 'Develop a Serach Component for KM Search iView', but I'm unable to see Content Management -> User Interface -> Mapping -> Search Dialog Box Component. Is there something I need to 'turn on' so that I can view that option?

Diagnosis
You have stored account 1999990 in company code xxxx as a clearing account. At the same time, you use line item management with this account.
System Response
Error message issued because line item display cannot read data for an account in a ledger if line items exist partially in the entry view together with clearing items for which there are no line items. In such cases, only the data with line items would be selected.
Procedure
Check the Customizing settings or account control. Change the settings so that only automatic postings without line items can be made to the account, or select a different account as the clearing account.

Unable to load resource - error

This is my first attempt at using java web start. I'm using JDeveloper to generate my jnlp which I've included below.

- I really don't understand where the hell "/jars" coming from???
- My project name is "DaaS" and my jar, html page and jnlp page are in same directory. And I'm running my html page on tomcat-7 server.

It must be coming from the commented-out <applet> tag somehow.
You aren't specifying an 'id' element. See the Deploy Java Toolkit documentation.
