Stamping a document repeatedly

I have a need to stamp our prints in 5-20 different places per document. Is there a way to turn on the stamp tool so that i do not have to click the stamp button each time.

From the help file.
Keep a commenting tool selected
You can add multiple comments without reselecting the tool.
Select the tool you want to use (but don’t use it yet).
Choose View > Toolbars > Properties Bar.
Select Keep Tool Selected.

Can you eloborate like what is the reference document you are using for billing document, and also as you said that 2 same billing doc generated means ( if reference doc is X then you got the bill doc as Y1 and Y2), or something else.

"Stamping " PDF documents using "Tools / Comment & Markup"

I used to be able to "stamp" PDF documents using "Tools/ Comment & Markup/ Stamp", then PDF the document, and the stamp became part of the document.
Now it is not "saving" the stamp. It stamp no longer shows on the PDF'd document after I run the "PDF"

When I try to stamp a document, a blank comment box gets added to the stamp. And then when I try to delete the comment, the whole stamp gets deleted.

I stamped a document in Reader X with no problem. However, when I open it in Professional, a comment box is added to the stamp with my name on it. And I can't delete the comment box without deleting the whole stamp. So it's a problem in Reader, but it is in Professional, and I'd like to get it fixed in case my clients use Professional.

Try this: Go to Edit - Preferences - Commenting and disable the option "Automatically open comment pop-ups ...".

Automatic date/time stamp a document

Is there a way to automatically insert a date/time on a document? I have a program that allows me to alter pdf documents and I need to be able to enter the date and time. Blackberry allowed me to type "dt" and it would automatically enter it for me. Does Apple have a feature similar?

I have looked at that but haven't been able to figure out how to use or edit the stamp. Is there a place
to set up time/date stamping, or maybe it's to be done manually? In either case, I haven't been able to figure how to do a stamp that is anything other than the stock stamp.

Endorsing (Stamping) PDF Documents

Can anyone assist with my question.
Is there anyway to endorse a PDF document with a individual unique (colour) stamp. Stamp to include business name logo unique number and issue date.

Yes, this is possible using the Stamp tools in Acrobat Professional or Standard. Here is a Blog by Tim Huff that goes step by step how to create custom dynamic stamps in Acrobat-

Acrobat XI crashes on exit after stamping a document

Found an older post in the Reader forum regarding this, wanted to link it to the Acrobat forum:

Basically if we stamp a PDF, save it and then exit Acrobat, the app crashes. Details including screenshot of error and steps to reproduce in the other post.
Anyone seen this or know of a fix other than "Do not close Acrobat"?

I am facing issue when exit the Acrobat. On Closing a file it doesn't crashes, it crashes when exit the Acrobat.
I have also attached the debug log as well as the application event viewer logs.

Pdf documents repeated indexing

I have a number of large pdf files which I use regularly, and regularly need to find specific sections in them. When I do a search from the search field, it indexes the file, and from then on if I do a search the results appear instantly - however if I shut the computer down, the next time I open that file up and do a search, it indexes the file again! This wastes a lot of my time. Is there some reason the indexing is not being stored.
I would really appreciate some help with this as it is the biggest slow down in my productivity

You and me too, except I can't even get past one complete index on a 600MB PDF of a service manual... the progress bar gets to the end and stays there for a few minutes before Preview crashes. 10.4.x never did this.

Add rubber stamp on same document

Hello,
In the previous versions of Adobe Acrobat I was able to use the rubber stamp on the same document by just choosing the stamp once and clicking on the different parts of the document repeatedly.
With Acrobat XI I have to keep going back up to the menu, click on the rubber stamp, choose the stamp, and click on my document over and over again.
Is there a setting to allow me to do this on the current version?

Right-click the tool and tick the "Keep Tool Selected" option.

The time stamp in Document Properties (such as this one "07-08-08 17:04:50.338") is based on Eastern Time Zone. Is it possible to change this to reflect my local date/time as seen on the bottom of the Crystal Reports XI application? We are in Hawaii, and we don't observe daylight savings. Therefore, our users must remember to calculate a difference of 5 hour or 6 hours depending on Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer, respectively. Quite tedious.
Also, can you change the 4-digit year instead of only the last 2 digits? When viewers see xx-xx-xx, they tend to first think mm,dd,yy which is not correct. Thanks.

Stamp Unable to Move past edge of document

Abobe Acrbat Professional 8
How can I place a stamp onto a document and move it freely about withou being limited to the document size/edge?
When stamping a document Acrobat does not allow me to place/move the stamp beyond the confines of the document size. I dont want to resize the document, as I work with Plans and that would change the scale. I need to be able to have half or more of the stamp hanging over the edge of the document.
If there is another way to create an overlay onto a PDF document then that would be most MOST appreciated.
Please help, your assistance will be greatly greatly appreciated, there could even be icecream!

Applescript to save all open documents?

Hello,
When I close Numbers, I usually have about 15 documents with changes and I have to go through "Do you want to save changes" for all of them.
I've googled and tried, without success, to get a script that saves all open documents, except for untitled ones.
Is there anyone who know such a script?

The problem was due to the fact that the script save and close the documents.
When I tested it, it was only saving them.

Can't Define Document to Staple every 3 pages in a 1000 page document

I am printing a LARGE multipage document. I created a 1000+ record data merge in excel for a packet. Each packet is supposed to be 3 pages and duplexed w/ a top left staple. The issue is the document isn't setting up the pages as [1,2] [3,4] [5,6], it is set up as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10... so it doesnt know when to staple. It will print 50 then staple those all together. I need to know how define the page range. Been working on this for 3 days and finally came to the forums. Thank you!

The Stitch is part of the printer features, not InDesign. You enabled stitching by hitting the Setup tab on the print dialog and enabled stitching.
For this to work you are going to need sets of three (or 6 pages, from your description)
This answer is not pretty, but it should work...
Print your merge template once with settings, these should carry over to the new, merged documents
As part of the Create Merged Document process, there is an option on the option tab to limit Records Per Document. If you set this to 1, ID would create about individual new documents that you would Print > Stitch.You would have to print 1000 documents.
I do not recommend this, but it would work.
Limit your records during the merge, (first tab, Records > Range) to perhaps, create 100 documents, elsewise I expect ID would crash, or take 30 minutes to complete. Depending on the horsepower of your machine, this could double or half.
This sounds like something to inquire about in the scripting forum; ie: create one 6 page merged, print using defined setting, close document, repeat.
The better way...print the whole thing, flat, take it to a printer with a decent collater and have them collate & Stitch.

Pages on my iPad3 has become very slow to open documents after upgrading to ios7. I've clicked on a folder 5 minutes ago and am still waiting. The work-around seems to be to force-close it, but I've needed to do this many times in the last few days.

I am sometimes also finding that, when I have been writing something and then click on "documents" the screen goes blank, there is a wait of around a minute and then the same document is re-displayed, before clicking "documents" again lets me look at other documents -- which is a pain if I am trying to move between documents repeatedly. Again, words of wisdom on this would be great.
Pages under iOS6 opened quickly, and there was an immediate loss of performance when I upgraded. I am finding this very frustrating because I don't feel that the new Pages has added to the facilities I was using, but a slowness to open documents is frustrating.
