Stand-alone primary site - Intranet, Internet and Workgroup Clients

Hi,
I am using SCCM 2012 R2 over Windows 2012 R2. Clients are Win7 to Win8.1.
Clients location: domain joined (intranet and Internet) and workgroup (intranet)
1 SCCM server (All-in-one).
1 domain.
I am using the following article for certificates http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682023.aspx
The PKI certificates was generated at a Win 2008 CA.
The IIS is configured to use a web server certificate.

A workgroup client (located at intranet) was installed the client certificate and installed the SCCM client manually (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2ad4b21a-43bd-434e-b3bb-fc8744da7e9c#BKMK_ClientWorkgroup). But there is not communication between

After, I configure the site:
then, the workgroup client was OK communicating with SCCM server.
But, the client cannot be installed at domain joined PCs, with the error: "Source \\sccm-vm\SMSClient is inaccessible (67)", at the SCCM server the SMSClient share does not exist.
The questions are:
Is it possible manage domain joined, workgroup and Internet PCs using only one SCCM server?
a second server must be installed(MP/DP)?
if only one server can manage all of the PCs, what is the correct configuration for SCCM?

So I select the install option to "Use typical installation options for a stand-alone primary site" which says it includes installation of SQL 2012 SP1 on the local server.
But then during the prerequisite checks it fails every SQL check.
Is it just me or a giant catch 22? Am I missing something here? How is this over looked if it is what it looks like? Why even have this simple install option if it can't work?

Take a look at my R2 install guide. This is for a stand alone primary. As Torsten states you pretty much need SQL installed and configured correctly prior to running the ConfigMgr install - along with a few other pre-reqs.

Expand a Stand-Alone Primary Site into a Hierarchy with a Central Administration Site

I have a stand alone SCCM server in my Lab. Now I need to install a CAS and add the stand alone SCCM site to the hierarchy.
As I have searched on Google the steps are quite simpler I have followed the below link for doing the same.

I am only using a single Domain account throughout the environment and SQL and SCCM has been installed with the very same account.
Stand alone site has been installed on the default SQL instance and I have created a named instance "CAS" for CAS installation on the very same SQL Server. The domain account has sufficient rights on the SQL and the Machine accounts have the local
admin privileges both for CAS and stand alone and also on SQL.

Expand a Stand-Alone Primary Site into a Hierarchy with CAS using the same server?

Currently i have a single server lab deployment of SCCM 2012 R2 which has all the CM roles and SQL server also installed on it. I want to expand the standalone primary site configuration into central administration site but i'm not sure if i can do
it on the same site system server or if i must get a second server up to do it?
I read through http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj591551.aspx and all the leading articles but i don't really seem to find this information anywhere.

Well just found out the answer
Beginning with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1, you can install a new central administration site as a parent site of an existing stand-alone primary site. This expands your stand-alone primary site into a larger hierarchy that
supports the install of additional new primary sites. You can expand only one pre-existing primary site into the new hierarchy because the database of the new central administration site is based on the database of your stand-alone primary site. After this
new central administration site installs, you cannot join or expand additional pre-existing primary sites to this same hierarchy. However, you can install new primary sites as child sites below the central administration site.

Separating all.css from stand-alone mobile site

I have come to the conclusion that I need to create a stand-alone mobile site for a client's ecommerce site. Should I copy and paste my css code from the desktop version "all.css" into the phone.css so as to keep them separate? The "Main template_phone.dwt" uses "all.css" and "phone.css" but I don't want to change any of the css for my desktop version. Thank you!

That really depends on the situation and what if any CSS you are reusing.
There are several ways to do what you need including, seperate CSS files, Media Queries (Dreamweaver), the BC built in mobile template system, if doing it in Muse they now have mobile capability now as well.
So we would really need more information to advise what would be the best solution for you.

Stand-Alone Application including ocx, dll and Word template folder

Hi,
I try to create an Stand-Alone Application with labview 2011. My problem is how i can include ocx and dll file in my executable to be run by others computers (the other computer don't have the dll and the ocx using in the application). My program use Word template who is in a folder. How i can integrated this Template folder in my executable folder.
This is the first time I create an executable, so please help me -_-.

To include the ocx and dll files you will need to build an executable for your VI and then create an installer for the additional files. I have linked 2 documents that will explain each of these steps. If you have any questions with this let me know.

Saved and published updated website, changes not saved in iweb. Have lost all work in iweb but correct site is on the internet. Can I retrieve site from internet and replace to iweb so can continue updating?

Just finished updating web site, saved and published. Showed up on the internet finr, went back to do a few tweeks and all my days work is gone! Fine on the net gone in iweb! I don't want to loose the days work. Is there any way to get the website from the internet and stuffit back into iweb, without redoing all the work? Why didn't it save? Wjat can I do to prevent this happening again? Where did I go wrong?

Publish you site to a folder on your hard drive and open it locally with your browser. Check to see if the site is all there. If not
Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and publish to the folder again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

I got the client in my sccm console right now at least.
The Client certificate is PKI and Connection type is Always Internet, so far so good.
But under Actions tab I only have Machine Policy Retrieval & Evalutation Cycle and User Policy Retrieval & Evalutation. I was to fast, everthing is there now.

Stand alone flash outside of Internet explorer 7

OK, I have several .swf files that I am trying to run and
everytime I attempt to run them flash player wants to reinstall
then reboot and this happens everytime. I tried to change the
associated file but I can't find the apporiate .exe. I'm sorry that
I don't have more but this blunt and to the point.

If you have flash installed, try just opening the .swf files
(might try while offline so it doesnt ask to update) and when
prompted for what program just use Internet Explorer to do it.
Otherwise you'll need the standalone player.

SCCM 2012 Primary Site server is piling up so huge

Hello Folks,
We recently implemented SCCM in our environment for a month ago. Its a stand-alone primary site model running DB on the primary site server itself. But, have segregated the drives for content, DB, and C drive for holding up the SCCM server related
installations. I haven't noticed the data growth on the server, as a result the C drive ran out of space yesterday and increased 40 GB more than the earlier. As of now, C drive has about 120 gb in total and there is only 25% left on whereas it had 33%
after expanding to 120 GB. When digging through the blogs, I doubted it could be BAD MIF inbox folder(screenshot attached), so went ahead and ran space check on the server, and looks like the major % of drive space is being occupied by the inbox folder and
also it is increasing day by day. I need further more directions on how this can be monitored to find out growth % and fix this.
I checked basic stuffs like clearing up profile & recycle bin data and any of this kind.
Step by step guide in detail should be more helpful in this regard. And, I hope this should be helpful for a larger SCCM admin crowd like me in the universe.
I also want to know what are the settings in SCCM console associates with these folders so that the settings can be streamlined to match the best practices (like inventory schedule for every 1 week & software inventory best practices) if at all, if we
have enabled in the implementation phase to receive fast & large results.

We are seeing a stable disk size nowadays.
With that hopefully, this is a time to sum up the actions taken.
1. SCCM 2012 implemented a couple of months ago.
2. During the implementation phase, Client & Discovery settings were enabled to be quite an aggressive schedules to get good amount of results in a short period.
3. Implementation had been successfully completed and the system was running just fine until I noticed the space crunch
4. I thought it was normal and increased the disk space by 50% which got ate up in a couple of days and that's when I started suspecting about something is going wrong
5. As an interim solution, have increased the disk space by 70% and started troubleshooting the SCCM buddy.
6. Discovery settings were brought down to not to be aggressive (but this wasn't the issue) - still the issue was going on
7. Inventory settings were too brought down to be nominal (Useful :

8. By this time, I brought my colleague who was involved during the Implementation. We did the clean-up on server, went through the Inbox\Auth folders and were trying to figure out still what is going wrong.
9. We couldn't notice much improvement about the situation though we gave enough time for each and every fix that we applied.
10. Through some warnings and errors in the site system status, remembered that the 'Configuration.mof' was modified for testing some customized inventory classes, during the implementation phase which was getting mismatched data from lot of different clients.

11. Replaced the original Configuration.mof, and we started noticing big differences - the space was no more increasing.
12. Still we could see lot of old files in sub-folders of Inbox\Auth folder, we hope all these files would try to process for the information that we added in the 'Configuration.mof' > will fail > will go to respective 'Bad/Corrupt' folders and
eventually will be removed as per the clean-up cycle.
I will update the thread if anything goes wrong beyond this point. But, we believe it wouldn't as we have found the culprit and fixed.

Expand Primary Site - Fail on Getting Started

Hello All,
I am trying to my client's Stand-alone Primary into a newly created CAS. When I attempt to run the standard steps (Following best practices from Microsoft) from either the .iso direct from the VL site - or expanded onto the disk (Tried several downloads
- all with the same results) - I get no further than The Getting Started screen of the setup Wizard
Literally, the only options available are to Recover a site and/or Uninstall
I'm open for ideas?

To explain further..
I have two Stand-Alone Primary sites. The Manager wants to retain the site structure - but enable standards at a global level - hence the reason for a CAS (Also - the business is growing very well and may shortly require a CAS).
The third server in question is a CAS with no child primaries attached. The goal is to expand the existing Stand-Alone Primary servers into the third server - CAS.
When running Install from the .iso or an expanded iso (Contents expanded from .iso into a local folder), I start the expansion process. I get one or two screens into the wizard when the only options available are to either Recover a Site or Uninstall
SCCM altogether. All other options are Greyed out.
I have Local Admin (For Application) and Sysadmin (For SQL Server) privileges.

First, it's not possible. You cannot attach a primary site to an existing CAS.
Primary sites in 2012 are *not* the same as primary sites in 2007 and a CAS is 2012 is completely different from a central primary site in 2007.
CASes cannot manage clients. Also, primary sites are *not* used for delegation in 2012. As Torsten points out, multiple primary sites are used for scale-out (in terms of client count) only. Placing primary sites for different organizational units provides
no functional differences but does add complexity, latency, and additional failure points.
Thus, as the others have pointed out, your premise for doing this is completely incorrect. What are your actual business goals?
As for the IP Addressing, that depends upon your networking infrastructure. There is no way to configure ConfigMgr to use different interfaces for different types of traffic. You could potentially manipulate the routing tables in Windows but that's asking
for trouble IMO.

SWF as a stand alone and a loadable app.

Hi,
This is the first time I have to implement this kind of
requirement in AS3.
Application I am developing will be used as a stand-alone swf
(embedded in html) and as a third party movie clip that will be
loaded by clients into other AS3 container on different domains.
The app is dynamic and will have to be available for manipulations
by the loading movie (as a component).
I would love to hear your experiences, learn about potential
caveats that I may encounter and remedies to overcome the common
obstacles pertaining to this dualistic nature. I have a vast
experience with loading swf that I wrote into other swfs that I
wrote too but never dealt with the distributing flash apps.
For instance I already discovered that because of the shift
in the stage reference I will have to be careful when to use it
(after the app is added to stage, naturally, but this aspect
escaped my attention in all the previous developments).
Or, what would be a preferred way for a third party to load
my swf and access its application domain (for help instructions)?
I guess, in essence, I would like to have a share of your
wisdom on what are the best practices in a Flash application
distribution.
I have no intention to bother you with hand handling - just
some conceptual advice. I will dig for the rest myself.
