Standard Object Libraries

Hi everyone,
I am new in the Form 6i environment and I would like to use some smart classes for interface development. I am not able to find that. The smart class is unabled in the menu of the object library and I am not able to find the STNDRD20.OLB suggested in the Oracle on line help topics.
Any suggestion is very appreciated.
tantica

The STNDRD20.OLB comes with the 6i Form Demos and is saved in the $ORACLE_HOME\TOOLS\DEVDEMO60\DEMO\FORMS folder. Good luck.

  • Object Libraries and Subclassing

I am trying to use an object library to store standard objects for re-use. Every time I try to use these objects the message 'Frm - 18108 , failed to load objects' appears. The object library is in the same directory as the form. Even if I use a 'Smartclass' the problem still occurs !
Does a system path have to be set to look for libraries ?
Do I have to do something else to get the libraries to work ?
    Please help !

    Hi Shaw,
Let us assume that you have stored your (.fmb) file in the following location:(C:\Working\my_form.fmb). Then all you need to do is, in your 'Registry Editor' under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> ORACLE folder, select 'FORMS60_PATH' string and append C:\WORKING; with the existing sting value. Then, open Forms Builder (Close if already open), open your required form which contains referenced objects from OLB. Now, your form should open without any problem.
Let me know if your still face any problem.

  • How to find out Oracle 11i Standard Objects

    Hi Gurus,
There is a requirement from my client. My client is on 11i Oracle Applications. He has many customization. But somehow he failed to use naming convention and all during implementation. Now he wants us to write a program which can tell us how many custom database objects are created as a part of implementation.
Hence in order to know this, first I need to find out what are the standard objects provided by Oracle for its 11i application so that I can write a program which will take difference (custom DB objects - standard Oracle 11i Object)
It will be great assistance if you let me know how to find out standard objects provided by Oracle for its 11i application?
    Looking forward to your reply.
    Thanks.
    -Sunil

Moved to the EBS General Discussions forum
There is no easy or programmatic way to determine the custom objects. All custom objects need to be documented and need to follow the recommended XX naming convention. If that has not been done, then someone will have to manually input each object name that is possibly custom at https://etrm.oracle.com which documents all seeded objects - if no match is found, it is most likely a custom object.

  • LSMW Standard object for class

    hi,
I am trying to upload class data through LSMW standard object,0140,
but while specifying file step it is giving error , No logical path has been specified.
    how to solve this problem.
    Regards

I repeatedly do this with LSMW by recording method. (recording done once and using repeatedly)
    The recorded template is
    EQUNR  KLART  CLASS_01  STDCL_01
If it is the case of Functional Location TPLNR in place of EQUNR.
    May try this way.

  • How to track changes made to the standard objects by SAP during upgrade ?

    Hi All,
Can any one of you please let me know if there is any straight forward method to find any change made to the standard objects by SAP in different versions ?
Like for eg, during upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
    Thanks in advance.

    > For eg , if SAP has made any change in the standard  transaction IE02,  in ECC 6.0 how will we come to know those changes?
There are two sources for that:
The "Solution Browser" (http://solutionbrowser.erp.sap.fmpmedia.com/) which lists the differences between source and destination release and the release notes (http://service.sap.com/releasenotes). You'd need to read here all those from 4.6 to ERP 6.0 (so 4.7, ECC 5.0 and ERP 6.0) to find out the behaviour changes.

  • SAP Standard objects:modified ones.

    Dear all,
my client wants to have a report where in he can see all the modified SAP standard object so that he can analyse his effort for the next upgrade.
there is already a report existing which does this but not sure if the logic is correct.
It is getitng all the entires from table "ADIRACCESS" and displaying.
I understand i can look at the txn SPAU and SPDD but ofr reporting purpose i waould need to get the tables/ FM which gives me the lilst of objects
any pointers to that would be appreciated.
    thanks in advance !

    Hi Dhruv,
As mentioned by Srinivas the ADIRACCESS table is where all access keys used within your system for modification to SAP standard code are stored and hence should be a good indication of what all / how many modifications to standard have taken place.
As to your doubts, append structures do not require access keys, since creating append strcutures is an enhancement to standard DDIC objects and only needs a transport since in actual, it only is creating a Z table structure.
Also, user exits and BAdis certainly dont require access keys. Again they are enhancement and not modifications and when upgrading they will NOT be overwritten. As SAP mentions, during upgrades all enhancements are retained within the system however modifications if not handled are overwritten.
Hope this helps in a way.
    Best regards,
    Aditya

  • SAP BW Standard Objects

    Hi Experts,
How can we distinguish between any of the standard BW objects and a custom or a user defined infobject.
My understanding in this regard is that standard objects always starts with any number, and the custom or user defined objects are otherwise.
Pls provide me precise and detailed information, not simply links,
Useful answers will rewarded for sure,
    Thanks,
    Happy Life,
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind,
All standard BW objects start with numeric number especially the business content starts with "0". The other ones are custom and they can start with any alpha character from A to Z.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what OP is asking. So it wouldn't help him.

  • Standard C++ Libraries Out of Range

My InDesign PlugIn runs ok when built under VS2005 but when built under VS2008 I get an assertion "Standard C++ Libraries Out of Range" when calling into SnapshotUtilsEx::Draw(). Since the Readme.txt recommends building with VS2005, I believe this to be an incompatibility with the VS2008 Standard C++ Libraries. Can someone confirm and indicate if there is (maybe beta) VS2008 version of the InDesign PlugIn SDK available or coming soon?
    Thanks.
    John

    Hi John
I'm not pretty sure about that but it might be related to iterators. Don't have a VS2008 but you can try to add this:
    #define _SECURE_SCL 0
    #define _HAS_ITERATOR_DEBUGGING 0

  • How do I effectively use my Object Libraries ?

I have created a generic form which allows users to search a name in a database table. I have created an Object Libarary and added the Blocks, Canvas, etc. to this OLB file.
My concern is reusing this object in several applications without having to customize each time I attach it to a new form.
Does anyone have experience with reusing Object Libraries? If so, how do you make modifications to your OLB file so that it propagates to the other forms using it?
    Thanks,
    Bob

Rather than having to post to loads of people, the note is available on metalink.oracle.com and the note number is NOTE:63373.1 and the title is:
Oracle Froms & Object Libraries - An overview.
If you have problems getting this from metalink then post me back and we will try something else.

  • Forms 2.1 calling shared object libraries

Can Forms 2.1 on Solaris 2.6 make calls to shared object

I have a large legacy COBOL program which I would like to
restructure and capture the business rule implementations into

I have used Foreign Function Interface call (FFI) in Forms 5.0
to call function in Dynamic Linking Library (DLL) on Windows/NT.
You may be able to do the same thing (use FFI) to call shared
    object libraries on Solaris.
