Standard XML Diff Format
Hi!
I have a requirement for expressing the difference between two very large (XML) hierarchies in a (structured) format. XML would be a good fit here. Naturally I could design my own schema for expressing the difference information, but I started thinking that somebody must have faced this same problem already before.
So, are there any more or less standardized formats for expressing the diff between two XML documents?
And if yes, any java tools/libraries supporting it?
Also, I would be interested in hearing if you have any other ideas how to express the diff as efficiently as possible. (All the existing nodes in the hierarchy have a unique id, the minimum requirement is the support for create, delete and edit operations, but support for move (inside the parent/anywhere in the hierarchy)would also be nice.)
Thanks for the reply. I did try the google method, but everything I came up with where more or less proprietary/commercial, and the actual diff format used was usually not documented and internal to the application.
And since the prodution of the diff information is not my actual problem here, I was trying to find some diff format standard (something like XSL is for XML transformations) I could then produce myself. (And if there were supporting tools for it, they sure would help in the debugging phase.)
Propably I should also have mentioned already before, that the diff data that is produced will be handled in several different programming environments (also non-java), so an existing standard would increase the propability for finding some suitable tool-support in other platforms also.

Convert the Database records to a standard XML file format?
Hai,
i want to convert the Database records to a standard XML file
format which includes the schema name, table name, field name
and field value. i am using Oracle 8.1.7. Is there any option
please help me
Thanks in advance. You could put the files somewhere and I can export them as QuickTime. Or you could find anyone you know who has Director. Or do the 30 day trial download
Another approach would be to play the DCR in a browser window, and do a screen recording. But that’s unlikely to give the perfect frame rate that you would get by exporting from Director. -

We are getting the expected Structure when we AS2 Receiver has the xml format. But while doing module development with the strctxml2Plain, we are getting the below error in RWB CC Monitoring.

VasuHi Vasu,
Not in the Mapping of IR.
In BIC Mapping Designer you have to test with the standard Mappings by providing the sample file whether the Conversion is happening correctly or not.
You have to take the same input file that what ever you are having now.
So that it will say clearly what is the problem in converting the XMLto the required EDI Format...
Check whether you have any Date Format Values are comming from the input file.

Oracle Payments - Funds Capture - Create Settlement Batches - Customize Standard XML extract
Hi,
I am required to customize the output produced by 'Create Settlement Batches' program.
There are two parts to it:
1. Customizing Standard XML
This is required to add custom XML Tags to the standard XML extract.
I read in a meta-link note that this can be achieved through table iby_trxn_extensibility. Oracle suggests that we insert rows into this table via a trigger on iby_trxn_summaries_all, and these rows will appear as additional XML Tags in the Standard XML extract.
I need to figure out how to populate the column iby_trxn_extensibility.extend_name so that the new XML Tag appears at a specific path in the Standard XML extract.
Kindly provide your valuable inputs on this?
2. Customizing Standard RTF
In case of Funds Disbursement, we have a standard Format called 'US NACHA Generic Format'. Do we have a similar seeded Format in case of Funds Capture?
Best Regards,
Uday AroraI am wondering whether u were able to achieve this. I am able to insert via autonomous transaction but it insert duplicate values, HOW to avoid duplicate.

How to export table contents in xml file format through SQL queries
hi,
i need to export the table data in to xml file format. i got it through the GUI what they given.
i'm using Oracle 10g XE.
but i need to send the table name from Java programs. so, how to call the export commands from programming languages through. is there any sql commands to export the table contents in xml format.
and one more problem is i created each transaction in two tables. for example if we have a transaction 'sales' , that will be saved in db as
sales1 table and sales2 table. here i maintained and ID field in sales1 as PK. and id as FK in sales2.
i get the combined data with this query,
select * from sales1 s1, sales2 s2 where s1.id=s2.id order by s1.id;
it given all the records, but i'm getting two ID fields (one from each table). how to avoid this. here i dont know how many fields will be there in each table. that will be known at runtime only.
the static information is sales1 have one ID field with PK and sales2 will have one ID filed with FK.
i need ur valuable suggestions.
regards
pavan. You can use DBMS_XMLGEN.getXML('your Query') for generating data in tables to XML format and you can use DBMS_XMLGEN.SETROWSETTAG to change the parent element name other wise it will give rowset as well as DBMS_XMLGEN.SETROWTAG for row name.
Check this otherwise XMLELEMENT and XMLFOREST function are also there to convert data in XML format. -
Error while trying to Upload the modified standard uwl.standard.xml
Hello Forum,
I am working on the UWL customization. I have a situation like i have to remove the links that appear in the ViewDetail of any UWL request. When we open any of the request and VIew the details of it we see the links in the right such as:
You can also:
Add Memo
Display Details in SAP Gui
Attachments Manager
Create Ad-Hoc Request
View History
Now the requirement is to remove the underlined actions. I read from some forum that i have to comment the actions those were defined in the uwl.standard.xml
I have commented the actions in the uwl.standard.xml and now when i'm trying to upload the file i get the error message saying:
Wed Sep 10 14:22:10 CDT 2008 : Operation not allowed on standard configuration:uwl.standard
How do i upload this modified file? Please suggest me.
Regards,
KrishnaKrishna,
Instead of modifying the UWL configuration file, this is possible by changing some property in the UWL iView itself.
Open the UWL iView --> Goto property called List of UWL Actions to Be Excluded --> Enter followUp,launchSAPDetails, manageAttachments, uwlTaskWizard, viewHistory and save your changes.
Regarding your error, what you can do is while upload "use Upload with High priority". If that does not work then backup the standard configuration, delete the changes, clear the UWL cache and then upload your new custom configuration as uwl.standard.

My scenerio iam posting IDOC to a flat file with content conversion in the receiver side, the mapping got executed successfully and in the audit log i found that the error was after the 'Start converting XML document content to plain text'.
This means that error occured during content conversion of XML to the prescribed file format.
Can anyone suggest any better approach using which we may trace the junk data in IDoc. Manual adhoc approach could take time and is error prone.
Thanks in advance...
karunHi Bhavesh,
Thanks for the early reply. I checked the mapping and everything is fine and the output is also in valid XML format.
The audit log shows that the mapping got executed successfully and the error is after the step 'Start converting XML document content to plain text '. Is there any constraint in the file adapter regarding the message size for parsing.

XML diff and merge - free lib?
I'm using my own XML communication protocol and got a problem. I transfer a configuration with this protocol, and the config can grow very large. So I want to create a diff of old/new configuration an transfer only this diff. On the receiver side the last received config should be patched with the diff.
I'm using JDOM.
Is there a free lib for XML diff and merge/patch available? I already googled for it but found only a commercial lib.
Thanks in advanceI like ExamDiff for Windows. It was free last time I downloaded it, but I haven't looked in a while.
I don't know of any good merge tools, streamy. I'll have to crib what comes back from others.

Try doing the following:
1. Upload the new Standard XML file from the another portal server with same support version or replace the changes u made to original and upload
2. Remove the cache
3. Register for all systems
4. preview the UWL iView.

Standard interface file format to create WBS elements
Hi Gurus,
Could you please let me know where I could find the SAP standard file entry format to create WBS elements master data?
The goal is to interface WBS master data from an upstream system to ECC6.
By the way, do you know an easy way to create a "real time" interface between an upstream system and ECC in order to skip the batch part?
Thanks & regards,

What do you mean by it. If it is MSP or primvera than some standard integration product are there. Otherwise take help of technical team and figure out best solution.
