Start.exe does not start

Hi All,
I have had this problem since yesterday. I installed the permanent license key. After that i stopped the system as i had to take a back up.
When i tried to re-start, strangely the jstart.exe would stop after "synhronizing binaries" step. i opened the default trace file and
found this strange log msg:

  • Ora10g_win64_cient Setup.exe does not start

    Hello Everybody,
I downloaded ora10g_win64_client (10.1.0.2) and I try to install it on Windows 2003 Enterprise SP1 for Itanium 2 but when I try to launch setup.exe then a black windows named Oracle Universal Installer appear on the screen.
On this window the following message are displayed...
    Starting Oracle Universal Installer...
No pre-requisite checks found in oraparam.ini, no system pre-requisite checks will be executed.
Preparing to launch Oracle Universal Installer from C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI\~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\1\OraInstall2007-01-23_06-04-52PM. Please wait...
After 5 seconds the window disappear and the Oracle Universal Installer does not start.
Do you have any idea to solve that problem?
    Thanks and best regards
    David Lindemann

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply to my thread but I already did what you suggested without success and after further investigations we found that the problem is in the jre. The java.exe does not work, it return an unknown error. We tried to download the jre from SUN in order to use it instead of the one delivered by Oracle and it worked the installation succeeded.
But now we have a new problem, the Network Configuration Assistant does not work an exception is throw by the oranjini10.dll

  • Solution for Windows Store app "projectname.exe" does not contain a static 'Main' method suitable for an entry point . Error.

    Hi,
I'm developed a blog reader for windows 8 store app. It was perfectly worked before. But suddenly it started to miss behave and I got an
error. No other errors were there other than that.
    Error
Program c:\Users\.........\Desktop\Blog_Reader\Blog_Reader\obj\Release\intermediatexaml\Blog_Reader.exe' does not contain a static 'Main'
method suitable for an entry point.
    C:\Users\..........\Desktop\Blog_Reader\Blog_Reader\CSC    Blog_Reader
But I found the solution while I fixing it.
Solution for that is like below.
Go to your App.Xaml and Right-Click thenGo to Properties
Check whether the Build Action is
    ApplicationDefinition
If not change it to ApplicationDefinition.
Clean the code (solution) and Deploy
    Now the error is fiexed.

  • Tasklist.exe does not list all Modules in Windows 7 64-bit

tasklist.exe does not list all Modules in Windows 7 64-bit.
If I want to look at the DLLs loaded by Excel, I would type:
      tasklist /M /fi "imagename eq excel.exe"
When I run this in XP or 32-bit Win7, it works fine, showing all the dlls loaded by excel.  However, in 64-bit windows, it does NOT show all dlls - only a limited subset.  If I use Process Explorer, I can still see all the DLLs loaded by excel,
but that is useless for writing automated scripts.
To check this out, try looking for kernel32.dll - it is always loaded by Excel, but tasklist does not display it in 64-bit Win7:
       tasklist /M kernel32.dll /fi "imagename eq excel.exe"
So, since tasklist is broken, is there a good (command-line) way of looking at what dlls are loaded by a process?

  • Setup.exe does not wait until the installation is done

    Hi,
I downloaded ODAC 10.2.0.2.21 from here:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/other/ole-oo4o/ODAC1020221.exe
And after extracting all files, I use this command on cmd:
setup.exe -silent -noconsole -waitforcompletion -force -responsefile <Path>
Furthermore, I have BOOTSTRAP=FALSE on oraparam.ini but setup.exe does not wait until the installation is done.
I only want a way to wait for the installation to complete...
    Cheers,
    Joan

  • Access to a website with a URL ending on .exe does not work

I need to access a website with a URL ending on .exe - Internet Explorer does not have any issues but with Firefox I only get the "file download" dialog box. Is there a setting where I can prevent this behaviour?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Ssvagent.exe does not always disable next-generation Plug-In

Around half the time running the "ssvagent.exe -high -jpisetup -old" in a vbs after the jre-6u22-windows-i586.exe process stops running
the next generation Plug-In option is not disabled.
I have verified that it does not run until after the Java installtion is complete.
Running "ssvagent.exe -high -jpisetup -old" manually right after installing Java will always disable next generation Plug-In.
Any ideas why it won't always run properly from a script?

    Hi,
I was wrong in my approach.
My applet was implemented using the "<object>" tag and it seems that it was not the best way to address compatibility issues across all versions of the plug-in and all browsers.
So, I have finally found what I was looking for in this "[Java Rich Internet Applications Development and Deployment|http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/jweb/index.html]" guide. In this guide, it is recommended to use the "[Deployment Toolkit|http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/jweb/deployment_advice.html#deplToolkit]", based on a Javascript library containing everything needed to deploy your application as an applet or a Java Web Start application.
My application, deployed as an applet, now works like a charm.
I hope pointing on this Deployment Toolkit will also help others...

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and remove the tick next to Internet Explorer 9  Click Yes then OK and then when done, restart the PC.
When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and re-enter the tick next to Internet Explorer 9.  Click Yes then OK and when this has finished installing, restart the PC again.

  • Sftdcc.exe does not timeout after closure of application launched via GP in kiosk mode.

We are configuring a group policy to launch an application upon login to the Remote Desktop Server.
    The following group policy object is configured;
    User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Session Host/Remote Session Environment
By default, Remote Desktop Services sessions provide access to the full Windows desktop, unless otherwise specified with this setting, by the server administrator, or by the user
in configuring the client connection. Enabling this setting overrides the "Start Program" settings set by the server administrator or user. The Start menu and Windows Desktop are not displayed, and when the user exits the program the session is automatically
    logged off.
Start a program on connection - Enabled
Program path and file name "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Application Virtualization Client\sfttray.exe" /launch "universe 1"
    Working Directory
This has also been tested running Notepad.exe
    The application launches successfully.
Upon exiting the application the App-V client shuts the application down successfully but the RDS session does not log the user out or end the RDS session. The sftdcc.exe process
    does not timeout.
Using Task Manager to end the sftdcc.exe process initiates the logout process.
Is the following still valid for Server 2008 R2 and App-V v4.6 x64?
    Can’t find any reference to it via;
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd464849.aspx
How To Deal With Microsoft App-V sftdcc.exe when Sessions are not closed properly After installing Microsoft App-V for terminal servers
users sessions are not closed properly after logoff. You can see through the Citrix Advanced Management Console that the session is in disconnected state and sftdcc.exe is running in the user session.
There are two registry keys you can set for this problem to disappear:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Softricity\SoftGrid Client\CurrentVersion\Configuration\
    Value Name: DCCSeamlessTimeout
    Type: REG_DWORD
    String: 0
I have tried adding the DCCSeamlessTimeout to the HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Softgrid\4.5\Client\Configuration
but this does not have any effect.

    Updates on this issue.
if you are running window server 2008 R2 install this hot fix:
    KB2815716-v2-x64
    then add this registry values:
    reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\SysProcs" /v sftdcc.exe /t REG_DWORD /d 0
    reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\SysProcs" /v splwow64.exe /t REG_DWORD /d 0
then reboot, and that will fix it.

  • Application builder exe does not load excel

I have used application property node and invoke node to cerate a set of VIs that read and write data to an Excel sperad sheet.  This works fine in when running in LabVIEW, however when I run myApp.exe as build from application builder, the data does not get logged to Excel.  The file dialog appears to  open the XL Spreadsheet but not data gets logged nor is any error reported?
What is going on?   All the VI are in the same project folder?  Is there some additional addon run-time the must be installed on the target machine?  I am uisng LabVIEW 2012 on the development station with Win7 Pro and Office 2010 on both the devleopment station and the target system.  Is there one document that describes using Application Builder?   It was not clear that I needed both LabVIEW and VISA run-time engines to get my application.exe to run on the target.  Is there something simialr I must do to get Office to work as well?

I was finally able to track this back through by starting from scratch and received an error code, which led me to this post:

Deleting the "1.7" items solved the problem.

  • Names.exe does not get installed when installing oracle

    Hello Group,
I have installe Oracle 9.2 server on a Windows 2000 SP 4 machine and am configuring this as an oracle names server. The configuration is succesfull, however the service cannot be started 'coz the service is configured to execute the files names.exe from the folder c:\oracle\ora92\bin\names.exe.
However, i have searched twice but this file does not exist on the server. I am not sure if i am missing something.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashish

    Hello Ashish,
I've got the same problem after installation Oracle 9.2.0.1 for Windows. The file names.exe was missed.
And what is more I installed twice this product and in both cases I could find names.exe in bin directory.
May be I have to set special option for Oracle Names before the installation.
    Did you resolve this problem?
    Thanks for help.
