    Hi,
You can use either OS cron job based log rotation
    OR
    Internal daemon log rotation.
It is recommeded to use OS cron job log rotation.

    Hi,
Please check if you have disabled the autodisconnect feature of the Server service. On Windows servers it can be configured through the Autodisconnect registry key.

CIFS and SMB Timeouts in Windows
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/openspecification/archive/2013/03/19/cifs-and-smb-timeouts-in-windows.aspx
Based on the research, as the open shared folder is in a SMB session, the default timeout for SMB session is 15 minutes. If the SMB session is inactive for 15 minutes the server will send a TCP reset to close the SMB connection. Until the
Autodisconnect timer is reached, the server will send an NBT keep-alive packet every two minutes. If a client or server application is not written to properly handle network delays, it may terminate the session prior to the default timeout
    period.

I found this, but can not locate Scripting on the Web Server: Configuration page
Activating Scripting on the Web Server
To use scripting with a Web service, you must activate the functionality on the LabVIEW Web Server. In LabVIEW, select Scripting on the Web Server: Configuration page in the Options dialog box to activate scripting on the Web Server.

    Hi Eric LZ
You are absolutely right, for LabVIEW 2009 scripting is activated automatically. More information about that could be found here. For LabVIEW 8.6 you'll have to follow these instructions. The above links are valid for VI scripting.

  • When Starting OC4J, why the report server doesn't start automatically? !!

    Dear All,
I have DS 10g on my system and I start the OC4J when I have to run either forms or reports.
But when I attend to start the do the following command from the form:
WEB.SHOWDOCUMENT(..../getjobid<jobid>?server=<servername>...), I have an error: FRM-41213: Unable to connect to the report server <servername>.
I noticed that if I run the following URL:http://<server>:.../reports/rwservlet, it gives me a list of command, but the server still not running..But if I add any command to the above URL like for example "getserverinfo" or "showjobs" then the server is started. Now, and after the command, if we return back and we run the report from the form, the report will run successfully.
    The question WHY??

    Hi John,
We didn't use the name for DB configuration. We used the IP. So I changed the 2 files.
And very thanks for your information, I resolved the problem by the document you provided. Just as you said, it's no need to update the files.
Here briefs the case and the solution:
    Problem:
I used IP to config the DB server when setup the Essbase. But later, the IP of the DB server changed, the Essbase won't startup, either the administration services.
    Solution:
    1. Run the config tool (EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/config/version_numberconfigtool.sh) and change the DB server setting (fill the new IP for the db server, and choose 'reuse the database' when prompted)
After this step, the essbase could startup. But administration services couldn't
    2. Go to weblogic admin console (http://ip:7001/console). Edit the JDBC data source setting from old DB server to new one
After this step, the administration services could startup now.

You may want to check whether your Web application has been configured to use "Integrated Windows Authentication".
Go to your IIS, check the Properties of your web application under Web Sites\Default Web Site, select "Directory Security" tab, click the first "Edit..." button (for Anonymous access and authentication control). At the very bottom, make sure "Integrated Windows authentication" is checked.
    Re-start your Web application.

  • Error While trying to run Project : Unable to start debuggeing on the web server . The project is...

    Hello There
i have created Project with Visual Studio 2003 and when i try to run my project i faced this problem .
i was search about it and read all solution that related to this problem but no luck
so please any help will be appreciated

Well, you would have to go to the Web.config and enable debugging.
    http://ppe.blogs.msdn.com/b/zainnab/archive/2010/12/14/enable-debugging-in-web-config-vstipproj0026.aspx
Then you have to know how to Attach to the ASP.NET Worker Process w3wp.exe. All ASP.NET solutions run on the ASP.NET Worker Process thread on IIS, which means that the ASP.NET program must be already running before you can Attach the Debugger to ASP.NET
Worker Process. You set a breakpoint I the codebehind file, you attach the debugger to w3wp.exe and you hit the Run with Debugger button.

  • Problem whle starting the SOA server.

    Hi,
I have Installed Oracle SOA suite in a server. I have created a domain and with in that domain, there is Admin server, Soa server and BAM server. They were working fine. But when I tried to re-start them recently , the Admin server was showing the warning
    <Mar 3, 2010 10:42:58 PM PST> <Warning> <JDBC> <BEA-001129> <Received exception while creating connection for pool "mds-SpacesDS": ORA-28001: the password has expired>
but still I am able to access teh web logic console of the admin server.
When I try to start the SOA server it gives the message
Internal Exception: weblogic.jdbc.extensions.ConnectionDeadSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: ORA-28001: the password has expired
The same is the case with the BAM server also . The console of BAM server is showing the message
Internal Exception: weblogic.jdbc.extensions.ConnectionDeadSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: ORA-28001: the password has expired.
I have used SYSTEM user credentials while installaing the SOA-SUITE. I have changed and re-set the password for that user. But That did not help.
can any one please let me know how this issue can be resolved. Please contact me if any more info is needed.
Thanks in advance for your time,
    Raj Kumar

    Hi Raj,
Have you created any connection pool with name "mds-SpacesDS"?
ORA-28001: the password has expiredAbove error shows that account of username, used in the DataSource of connection pool "mds-SpacesDS", has expired and password should be changed. After changing the pasword of DB user, mention the same in your Data-Source as well. Update the DBAdapter to refresh the connection pool.

  • Manual start the ips server once machine is boot up

    Hi,
I would like to know, which configuration file should i change in order to disable ips server to automatically start up everytime the machine (server) is started. By default the ips will be automatically started everytime the machine is started. I would like to manual start the ips server everytime the machine is started. Any idea on this? Thanks a lot.

If your iPS is installed on a Solaris machine, then you would probably be using run level 3 by default.
You can go to /etc/rc3.d and rename S*ipsgateway and S*ipsserver.
I haven't tried this, but it should work.

  • Just starting out: can I put my script on a test server and move it later?

I'm not a programmer (though I will need to be for our iTunesU setup), so I hope my question will be phrased correctly. We are planning on putting our script on the same server that will run our Moodle site (currently we are running Moodle on a test server). We plan on installing perl so we can run a perl script, as there does not appear to be a php script available.
If we install the script on our test server, will there be a problem when we move the script to our permanent server? Should we wait until our permanent server is up and running?
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

I can't say with certainty that moving your script from one machine to another will "just work" - there are lots of factors that could cause a script not to work when you move it (system configuration, pre-installed software, etc.). However, the practice of moving a script from a development location to a production server is quite common with iTunes U sites. The key piece of information in your script that keeps the relationship secure between an authorizing server and iTunes U is the shared secret. The other variables are also important as well as having the machine be synchronized to network time.

  • Can´t start Directory Bind on OpenDirectory Server

    Hello folks -
I´ve a problem to start the directory bind in the serveradmin.
I just want to connect my mac clients to the existent Open Directory, but it didn´t work.
The OD master runs on an xserve 10.4.11 including fileservice. A other xserve is configured as OD replic and Keriomail. I want a single user login for all services, and most things are working fine (mediawiki, mail, print, file etc.) but not the client directory binding...
I can configure the OD in the dirctory access utility, but if I restart the client, I can´t login with an user that´s configured on the server. After checking all the configurations on the server and reading logs i have seen that the directory bind in server admin doesn´t work. If I try to turn it on, it´s unchecked after saving.
I can´t delete the OD and setup a new one, because to many service are allready in use from more then 80 employees
    anyone an idea?
    thanksfully

  • [SOLVED] How do I start scripts at boot up?

I've been looking around for awhile and can't find a way to auto-start scripts I've written in the console (the only ways I've found are for older systems using /etc/rc.local, but my system doesn't have this file.  The only things I've found for systemd are about starting daemons.  I'm not running a desktop environment on this system nor do I plan to (I'm using this machine as a server), so I can't put the scripts in a directory that auto-starts them like I can in KDE (and even then, I think that's only auto-starting them after login; I need these scripts to run without need of logging in).  And since my scripts aren't services I can't use "systemctl enable" to make them start at bootup.
Does anyone know how to start scripts when the system boots?

  • How to save 4 versions of a file in the application server

    Hi,
I have to write a program which will extract few data from SAP and write it in a file in the SAP application server. This program will be run once every month.
I need to save 4 versions of the files, current and 3 prior.  These versions should cycle off the oldest once a new version has been created.
Could anyone help me how to do this?
    Thank you!
    Regards,
    Sunitha.

    Hi Sunitha,
The best way is to write a unix script in the unix server to do the job for you. Once The file is written in the server then leave the job from the unix side to get this done.
This is the best option i think. Writing a script is not a big task. You can call the script from ABAP or from an external daemon in the unix server. We have many such programs in our org.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
