There's nothing in here that immediately looks wrong to me.
One thought I had (which may be unrelated): this machine was a Win95 machine that was upgraded to WinXP Pro. I believe that XP uses some of the old 95 libs after upgrade. This caused a problem using a CDRW driver. I was wondering if the JVM is trying to use an old 95 lib down the line somewhere and complaining.
Just a thought.

  • Nokia E61 system error, phone start-up failure

    Good day I did a software update(RM89) on my E61 phone. After completion and start up my phone gave me a system error and then phone start up failure. How can i reset or go in to safe mode to rective to problem?

    The only things you can try are:
    1) Read this post in the Pool of Knowledge:
    Recovering from a failed update
    and 2) Take your phone into a Nokia Care Point. Note that if your phone is still in the warranty period and it got bricked as a result of using NSU, the repair is covered under the warranty.

  • Mac Pro Start up Failures: Fix

    My Mac Pro 1.1 under OSX 10.7.5 just suffered from multiple start-up failures.
    It would load it's system...the "loading clock" spun a while and then go to black. I still had cursor control and CD tray function.
    I ran the system install disk, started a hardware diagnostic...and it repeatedly froze.
    I thought I was fried......but without doing a hardware diagnostic...the system install disk could report all my components and memory.
    I zapped the PRAM and still no joy. I finally checked the PRAM Battery..the CR2032 which had never been changed in 7 years.
    I found another one in an Apple Remote I never use...swapped it out..and everything worked fine.
    I've read that in some machines, a bad PRAM battery will cause a black screen.
    Guess that's what I had.
    If you have any startup issues, system loads and screen goes black...trying swapping the PRAM Battery.
    Sounds easy. Took me about 3 hours and repeat startup failures to figure it out.
    Are there any apps that check the PRAM Batterty to know they are starting to go bad?

    Quick update: Had several more "freezes/crashes" after changing PRam battery.
    Tracked it down to the Display Screen Saver.
    When it launched into screen saver, it would freeze after a very short time.
    I disabled the screensaver and adjusted my energy savings setting to just a few minites so know when i time sout...it goes to black.
    It comes on with a mouse click with no problem.
    Hopes it lasts.
    I ran diagnostics on the video card/memory and it passed with no problems.
    Something has corrupted my system which had been stable for quite a while.

    Hi,
    you can validate your JNLP startup file using Vanessa - Vamp's free multi-schema JNLP validator.
    You can kick start Vanessa at http://www.jenomics.de/vamp/vanessa.jnlp (5 MB)
    You can find out more about Vanessa at

    Hi,
    Did you resolve this issue? I have the same problem. I appreciate if you could please let me know what the problem was.
    Thanks

  • SQL Server service not automatically starting (logon failure)

    I just installed SQL Server 2012 on a machine. To run "SQL Server" as well as "SQL Server Agent" service I have created a domain account called SQLADMIN. This account is a service account and has no other rights like logon locally or
    local administrator.
    When the machine restarts, "SQL Server" service doesn't start automatically. When I click Start then it says "Logon Failure". Now if I simply enter the password again under tab "Log On" and then start service then it starts. Why
    doesn't it start automatically?

    Hello,
    Please read the following article about permissions required by service accounts.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143504(v=sql.110).aspx#Serv_Perm
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Alberto Morillo
    SQLCoffee.com
    I do not see any special permission that is needed as per the article. For e.g. as per below:
    SQL Server Service
    Permissions granted by SQL Server Setup
    SQL Server Database Engine:
    (All rights are granted to the per-service SID. Default instance: NT SERVICE\MSSQLSERVER. Named instance: NT SERVICE\MSSQL$InstanceName.)
    Log on as a service (SeServiceLogonRight)
    Replace a process-level token(SeAssignPrimaryTokenPrivilege)
    Bypass traverse checking (SeChangeNotifyPrivilege)
    Adjust memory quotas for a process(SeIncreaseQuotaPrivilege)
    Permission to start SQL Writer
    Permission to read the Event Log service
    Permission to read the Remote Procedure Call service
    I am running Database Engine service as DOMAIN\SQLADMIN account which can Log On As A Service. Other 3 permissions mentioned in article are not given so let me assign it and then see how it goes.
    Could this issue be due to some domain policy? Because there is another SQL Server machine which shows same behaviour.

    Hi Adrian,
    I have started my work with new domain creation.
    Before that i have created two agents
    1)STAND_AGENT Host:localhost,port-20910
    2)JAVAAGNT1 Host:localhost,port-*20917*
    both i have started and tested the connection as well executing the interface using these 2 agents.It went fine.Then i started creating the domain.
    My adminserver Host:localhost,port-7011 and odi_server1 Host:localhost,port*-20917*(java agent port)( is this fine?).
    Completed the domain creation and started the admin server ,in logs i found the error for credential stores and i have done that also.
    Then stoped the server ans started the wls adminserver. In the log i am getting the same error u posted in the begining,
    ODI-1405: Agent OracleDIAgent start failure: the agent is not defined in the topology for master repository.

    I had exactly the same problem as you.
    I found I did something really dump & In weblogic, where you specify the arguements for using the Class paths, I accidentally placed a space inbetween an arguement.
    In the following location of the weblogic console:
    Domain\Clusters\Cluster_Name\Configuration Tab\Remote Start Tab\Arguements
    Instead of having say:
    -Xms768m -Xmx768m -Xgc:gencon -Xns:128m -Dcom.vignette.portal.installdir.path=C://portal
    I had:
    -Xms768m -Xmx768m -Xgc:gencon -Xns:128m - Dcom.vignette.portal.installdir.path=C:/portal
    Spot the mistake ;)
    This was enough to make the compiler fail with the following error:
    ERROR: Could not find class java/io/Serializable.
    ERROR: library init failed on commons.
    Could not create the Java virtual machine.

  • Gzip filter causes start-up failure in coherence v3.1

    I've just moved to coherence version 3.1 and now my override XML file with the filter configuration causes an exception at start-up.
    This is the piece that causes the failure:
    <outgoing-message-handler>
    <use-filters>
    <filter-name>gzip</filter-name>
    </use-filters>
    </outgoing-message-handler>
    Simply commenting out the filter-name (as in the original file) allows the server to start up:
    <outgoing-message-handler>
    <use-filters>
    <!--filter-name>gzip</filter-name-->
    </use-filters>
    </outgoing-message-handler>
    How do I enable the gzip filter under v3.1?
    Thanks
    Walter

  • Power Mac G5 Start-up failure

    My Power Mac G5 2.O froze up yesterday and would not re-start since then..I press the start button and the machine powers on but will not progress any further than the Apple Grey screen and progress indicator.The fan/s also begin to race. On re-try the display has gone to a white screen with horizontal lines continuous&intermittent. I've taken the HDD's out and tested them via an external HDD on another machine, and they're intact & working at least. I've tried opening in "Safe" mode, but not possible. Re-set SMU, but no change. Checked RAM and re-set, no change. Managed to get the DVD/CD drive open and tried the System Install Disk, but still no access or re-sets possible. Incidentally, the Power supply unit was replaced in Jan07 after the old one failed & the machine has a UPS Device to protect power supply. I've reached the limit of my capability so am taking it it to Apple Authorised Service Center for further diagnosis/repair. Other threads indicate possible logic board failure or Video card..Understand this was a common issue with G5's along with Power unit failures.. either way if it's the case I reckon it would be expensive esp. as the machine is now out of warranty care. Any comments or suggestions appreciated?

    Thanks for your reply. The HDD would spin up from manual start, chime, grey Apple screen with progress indicator then change to light blue screen at which point the HDD would cease activity.The fans would then begin to progressively race for about 5mins, then stop. Since my initial email I've taken the unit into the Apple Dealer and we tried remote access via a plug-in External HDD but it wouldn't work. Likewise the Install disc simply couldn't be prompted to spin up or re-set. We didn't get to try without the HDD unit in-situ, which is a shame.
    Both HDD's I had in the machine were taken out, but this was to test the integrity of the data via an extenal unit. Both drives were intact and all data accessible.
    That was all that could be done at the Dealer, so I then had to take the machine to an Authorised Apple Repair Centre and await to hear diagnosis from them expected after 3-4days..Meantime thanks for your ideas and suggestions. Seems the G5 has had a higher than average failure from the discussion forum, I just hope it's not a critical one on this occasion. I'll keep you posted.

    Hi PECAKO,
    Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are having some problems upgrading to Windows 8.1. The Automatic System Recovery was that trying to restore Windows 8 or trying to recover 8.1? How long have you had the Pavilion for?

  • START-UP FAILURE with N73

    Hello!
    What will I do, I cannot use my phone (N73) It says START-UP FAILED CONTACT THE RETAILER.Please help me and I hope to find the solution soon. Thanks and have a nice day out there!

    When you power a phone on, it performs a Self test on various parts (signals between chips, software checks etc).
    If any of these tests fail you will get the "Phone Startup Failed" error you see.
    You really need to take the phone to a service center so they can see what has caused the failure and repair it.
    At best it will require a software reflash, otherwise it will be a hardware fault
