Dear Users,
I have installed Sun Creator 2 to windows XP and I recieve

It is also advisable to install an appserver and/or creator into a directory with no spaces to avoid some path/classpath issues.

    Since iTunes uses QuickTime to play audio/video content in iTunes, that error message most likely indicates that there's a problem with your Quicktime installation.

  • Shaman won't launch - error message

    I like to be able to browse packages with Shaman occasionally, but I get this error message now when I try to launch it:
    "There was a problem while testing libalpm. Maybe another application has a lock on it."
    Any idea what's going on here, and how to correct it?

    I was just listening to my music and] play a game at the same time. But when I start to load the game an error message pops up and say "This game cannot be launched. This may be the result of a full iPod". But I know for a fact that I don't have a full iPod. It wont let me exit out of the screen either.

    Did you try a hard reset of the device?  To do this, first toggle the hold switch on and then off, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
    This may or may not work the first time around, so feel free to give it a try a few more times.
    If nothing else, let the iPod's battery fully drain and then charge it back up.

    I have written a java program that when opened with Jav 1.3 I get a JVM Launcher error. Is it possible to catch this error in my code and put a different error message in a JOption pane?

    Probably not, since until the JVM is started, your application doesn't exist. Even if your app starts up, it will start AFTER the JVM error message is written out (probably).

  • After Effects CC crashes on startup- No error message

    Recently installed After Effects CC, It will show the splash screen as it loads and then displays the interface for about 2 seconds before crashing. Leaves no error message. I have uninstalled and used the CC Cleaner tool, then re-installed numerous times and still the issue.  Also tried logging out and then back into Adobe CC, changing Adobe ID password, and deleting the After Effects Preferences and issue persists.
    Using:
    Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
    Intel Core i7-4930 3.4GHz
    32 GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 (Drivers Up to Date)

    I had found both of those links and tried all of their suggestions prior to my original posting and none of those had helped. Thank you for the replies though. I DO however have it working now.
    I uninstalled all my Adobe Software, then deleted all the Adobe folders in various parts of the C: drive that remained even though all the Adobe Software was uninstalled. This took some time but once I cleared the computer of any trace I could find of anything Adobe I then re-downloaded and installed Creative Cloud and now everything appears to be working properly. So I could never identify the root of the problem but an extensive clean out and retry seemed to do the trick.

  • Final Cut Pro 7.0.3 Crash on startup (No error message)

    I have Final Cut Pro 7 installed on one of my computers.  I tried to copy the app over to another computer of mine (I don't currently have the original disc with me) and put in the same serial key/registration info etc. It all seems to work fine until I get to where it's loading audio filters and such.
    It scans through all the audio filters then eventually just quits.. no error message.. no pop-up windows or anything.  I have tried several things:
    First I tried moving all the audio units plugins out of the library/audio/plugins/components folder; onto just a folder on my desktop. I also did this for VST plugins.  Tried relaunching and the load time is considerably less as it's not scanning all the plugins; but still just crashes after a few seconds.
    Next I tried trashing the only preference file I could find related to Final Cut pro. Same results.
    Someone suggested on a different thread to "disable background rendering" but it won't let me open preferences within FCP while it's loading up; just shows spinning wheel when I cursor up to the top bar.
    I'm using mac 10.5.8
    Any ideas?

    Yes.
    Final Cut Pro is not just the software in the Applications folder. There are many files at system level that it relies on too. Some are even in folders that are normally invisible to the user. All of those are missing on the computer that you copied the application to.

  • Firefox freeze on startup, no error message

    Firefox from one minute to the next crashed. Everytime I opened it up, it became unresponsive. Never an error message, just a pure freeze. The CPU does not go into overdrive. I did a complete uninstall. Created a new profile. As soon as i closed my session, the problem persisted. Even in safe mode, the application freezes completely within 1-3 seconds.

    1) I tried Installing Firefox 18. The problem persists.
    2) Since the problem occured, i have installed chrome, opera, safari and all of them work. I have so far not experienced any problems.
    3) Here is the info you requested:

    4) Here is a more detailed description of the problem.
    After uninstalling firefox, i reinstall it using the 18.0 version. It installs without a problem. Once the installation is complete, a firefox window opens up and works. I can do anything i want. Once i quit firefox, every new instance i open freezes:
    - Normal mode: Freezes when i click on the + sign for a new tab or click on the address bar or just wait a couple of seconds.
    - Safe mode: I try and open it up in safe mode, a window appears asking me if i want to open it in safe mode or reset firefox. If i click on reset firefox, the window disappears, a firefox process in open (task manager) but no window opens.
    - Reset firefox. If I try and reset firefox, the window asking me if i want to open it in safe mode or reset firefox. Upon clicking reset firefox, a new window opens warning me that doing so will delete ... when i click ok, the window closes, however the original window asking me if i want to open it in safe mode or reset firefox freezes.
    5) I never get an error message. Where are they kept so that i can attach them.
    6) I installed the recommended "SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner Personal Edition" and "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware users". I let those run through the night and removed some threats. This solved the problem after i restarted and reinstalled firefox. Hopefully this was the last time I have this problem again.

  • Startup disk error message

    I keep getting an error msg that my startup disk is full and to close programs.  I get the msg even when Safari is the only thing open, and my hard disk is only half full.  I show that I have 340gb left available.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

    Before you do anything else, please take your machine to a Apple Store, you have 3 free months of care and they will assist you, perhaps you can take some classes how things work.
    Tell them you only had the computer for two weeks and the startup disk says it full, and you've deleted some items, they will know what to do.
    Your startup disk shouldn't have gotten so full so fast, something is clearly wrong and you need help in person, we can't assist you here I'm afraid as you don't know very much at this point.
    Ask about getting AppleCare and a TimeMachine drive, they will fix your machine right up.

    I've had the student version of the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium software for several years now.
    When I received my Windows 8 computer I installed the software with no issue.
    Last week when I tried opening Photoshop I get the following error: "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working.A problem caused by the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
    I deactivated and uninstalled the entire Creative Suite then reinstalled it. I am able to open the other programs, but still receive the same message for Photoshop.
    What can I do?

    I found the issue was with the Nik Filters I was using. The filters were messing with Photoshop's initializing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the filters and now Photoshop works like a charm.
    It appears this forum is dead?!

  • Macbook Pro Startup Disc Error Message

    I keep getting the "Your Mac OS X startup disk has no more space available for applications memory" error statement, but, even after deleting around 60% of my files, it still keeps giving me that, and some of my applications won't open. I don't really know much about computers, but I've done everything I can think of + some online suggestions, but nothing has worked so far. What should I do?
    In case it helps, it is a 13 inch screen, and I bought it in early 2010.

    It says I have 0 KB for Audio, Movies, Photos, Apps, and Backups (which is definitely not true for any of these), and Other has 249.11 GB.
    I have tried scanning for viruses, restarting my computer, and a few other vague things that didn't really seem to apply to my situation but were the best I could find. I also tried updating my computer but it said there wasn't enough space. And sometimes something about virtual memory comes up, but I assume it's just part of the same issue? And what is this "Other" stuff?

    Launched iTunes and received a I do not have permission to access my iTunes library.  Message said it was locked?  It is my machine and I have admin rights to open any of the four drives connected to it.  What is up with that?

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Premier Pro CC won't launch - error message

    We purchased CC about a week ago and have not been able to use Premier Pro CC. We have tried uninstalling and installing. The message we get it "Adobe Premier Pro CC has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.     What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
    Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?

    -you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself
