I want to know if it's possible to do statistics of number of acces to my portal

Yes, thats the marketing story and the GUI and help files does suggest this too.
Running these reports and graphs is a different story.
Most of the reports/graphs doesn't run well. I've got various symptoms ranging from 'no output (blank screen) to 'incorrect numbers', to 'graph shows 3 login requests from a user, detailed report (by clicking on the link) shows 50 requests'.
I'm trying for about 3 months now to get an answer from oracle, but despite the efforts of oracle customer support (bug logged, bug with high severiy logged, talked with product manager) oracle development took 2 months to produce this statement: 'Development is aware of your issue and is currently working on an answer.'
That was a week ago ....
The best I can currently do do is using a third party log analyzer that makes a report of the requests in access_log, but this don't show who is logged in at what times and how often. It it also almost impossible to see what content areas and pages are visited, because the URLs of portal are not exactly 'user readable'.
Furthermore the portal monitoring doesn't see hits on pages which were cached. (See thread: http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum70/HTML/001350.html)
I'm sorry, this doesn't help.

  • BI Statistics cannot be captured in Portal or Query Designer

    We're experiencing inconsistent behavior of the BI Statistics capturing mechanism, possibly after our recent upgrade to  SAPKW70015.   It appears that only queries run via the Bex Analyzer are correctly captured in log tables (RSDDSTAT), whereas queries run via the Portal are not (instead, we get unknown entries with object name RSDRI, rather than query/infoprovider names in the log tables). 
    We've developed a very sophisticated application to report on BI usage ( top n queries by infoarea, by infoprovider, by CPU, by DB-records, by OLAP-records,  all queries used by a user etc) and to find out who is using which query, as well as associated resource consumption, at any given time, in real time. 
    This bug completely throws us off balance. We can no longer  monitor query acitivites on the Portal; nor can we trust the BI statistics we've collected in the last two years.  Another BI installation has reported the same problem to SAP.  SAP seems to think upgrade to SP17, which could be a major step,  will fix the problem.  Is there anything we can do in the mean time to fix this problem without having to wait for upgrade to SP17 ?  Is there an OSS note on this issue ?

    Hi,
    If the BW statistics are not recorded for a Web Report, this may be because recording was not activated for at least one query (or its InfoProvider). Depending on the calculation sequence, the BW statistics may also not be written for the other queries. The solution is to activate the BW  statistics for all of the Web Report InfoProviders.

  • Is there User Group and Role Reporting in SAP Enterprise Portal?

    I want to know if there is a way to pull users statistics our of SAP Enterprise Portal like you can out of the R3 backend systems.
    I would like functionality similar to the SUIM transaction. I know through user administration you can access any user, even a list of all users, and you can do similar lists with roles and groups. You can then access any of these things individually and look at their assignments. However, I want to do this on a large scale. I want to know for example every group that has a user assigned to it. Evergroup that has roles assigned to it. Or groups that have no user or role assignments. We have approximately 1904 groups in our Production Portal system and I am trying to clean up the groups that have no user assignment, but I don't want to look through them one by one.

    There is no standard report available for this purpose. However all this information is stored in table UME_STRINGS.
    You can write your own SQL queries to generate such reports. However please note that this table is not normalized, and it's a master UME table. You should use it strictly for READ ONLY purpose.

    hi,
    user id and password requet coming from the portal only.
    I have two anonymous users.(user1 is Mr.guest and user2 is Mr.user2)
    But when i give http://xxxx:50100/irj/portal/anonymous, it always takes me to guest only and  in the ivew it asks for username and password.
    But my role is assinged to user2.
    how can i acces anonymous user2 portal?
    why is it asking for user4 name and password....
    please help....

  • Portal, Identity & app server issue

    Hi all.
    I am getting a weird response when trying to access a protected web application using Identity Policy Agent and Application server 7. I have Sun Portal Server 6.1, (with it's Identity Server), App Server 7 & Identity Policy Agent running on the same server.
    When i type in the url of my web application (directly to the App server instance), as obvious, i am redirected to my identity login page, i login and i can access protected resources and everything works fine.
    The problem shows up when i try to acces through the Portal Server, I login on the Identity Server, then I access a link to my web application, I can actually see the index file of the web application, but if I invoke any protected web resource or link I am thrown away to the login page of the Web Application (loginform.jsp), and if I login again I'm thrown back to the index file of the web application, turning the whole thing into an endless loop.
    I cannot access the protected resources even if I have the right permissions
    Could someone please help me with this ???

    We have also faced the same problem before, and i just have 2 suggestions which may (lets hope) will solve the issue
    1.) While specifying the policies remember to give all the resources which u want to access. Probably u can give a * for accessing the specified resources in your context .For ex.. http://host:port/example/*
    2.) We faced this problem when we had all the products in the same server. But weirdly the problem was solved when we had the Identity Server and the Web Server which protects the resource on different Solaris boxes.

  • Acces from iPhone to WebCenter Content's Documents

    Hello.
    We have Webcenter Content and Webcenter Portal. We are using iPhone application "Webcenter" for acces to Webcenter Portal. Webcenter Portal is connected to Webcenter Content Server and we can get access to WCC's documents throw web-browser.
    But our main idea is getting access and search from iPhone for documents which was checked-in from Webcenter Content. Is it real to realise that idea? Could you advice me how to realise it?

    If you haven't shelled out for a third party app yet see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. There is a no cost way of retrieving the media. It may require more effort on your part to extract the media and any metadata that you want but it might even do a better job. Last three entries in the table in particular.

  • Role url points to private portal url

    Hi gurus,
    I have the folllowing scenario.
    Several custom roles have been developed and each one has some views pending from them.
    These roles point to http://privatehost:50000/irj/portal/....
    Now external internet acces to the portal is required, and the privatehost ip is not going to be published in internet. This way, theses url´s from roles are not reachable from internet. Anyone knows how to change the url
    the roles are pointing to the new public ip.

    If you are using any external facing portal then you use only  the relative path..
    As an example .... if the absolute path is http://abc.com:50000/irj/portal/xyz
    Instead of the absolute path use only the relative path ..say  /irj/portal/xyz

  • SSO EP/Lotus doesn't work

    Hello,
    we are using an EP v7 SP12 and Lotus Domino v6.5.4.
    We had a fine SSO configuration between our portal ("portal.saras.it") and our Lotus system ("mail.saras.it").
    But when we changed the portal domain in "portal.sarasgroup.dom" the SSO with Lotus didn't work fine.
    We thought that the problem could be the different domain suffix, so we tried to do an SSO configuration with another server Lotus (a test server) "mailTest.cagliari.saras.sarasgroup.dom" (the "names.nsf" database is linked from domain "saras.it").
    - We extracted and imported the dll (ds_ticket.dll, sapsecu.dll, wpsso_v3.dll) and the "verify.pse" file.
    - we configured "DSAPI Filter" adding the path of "ds_ticket.dll"
    - We added the value "MySapPsePath = F:\Domino\SAP\verify.pse" in the "notes.ini" file
    - Writing in the server domino console "show configuration MySapPsePath" the path is verifyed succesfully.
    - The portal Test User (T000001) is mapped as alias in a Lotus user profile
    - We set the Domino installation path as environment variable in Lotus Server OS (windows 2003)
    Trying to acces from the portal, the SSO doesn't work, a login page appears.
    And in the Lotus Server Console is showed the message:
    "Current AuthData: User =  ,InCache = 0, PreAuth = 0, Flags = 3F
    SSO Ticket found, 484 bytes
    Found sap_user = T000001
    sap_user: T000001 Ticket is invalid or expired
    SAP Ticketverifier Error: invalid ticket.
    SAP Ticketverifier Message: falling back to Lotus Domino Authentication"
    So the portal user ID is recognised by Lous System, but the ticket is invalid...
    Are we missing some configurations???
    Why the Lotus system recognises T000001 but doesn't accept the ticket?
    Please help us!!

    I replaced the portal certificate as described in the link you gave me but nothing is changed...

    I'm sorry but the SAP note mentionated refers to a problem different then mine.
    If you take a look it refers to an error message like "_More than one match for_
    <portal username>  in domino directory", instead my problem is "_invalid ticket_"
    Any other suggestions??

    We have an url iview with two Language-specific URLs (en and es) and a default URL. This iview is in anonymour portal page.
    The first time that an anonymous user accees to /irj/portal/anonymous the url iview shows the default url instead of the en URL. Browser lengauge is EN.
    How can i solve this??

    There are two condition for the URL Language-specific :
    1. You must first create the URL iView and then use the editor to use this
    feature. It is not available in the URL iView Wizard.
    2. You cannot apply a different look and feel to language-specific URLs.
    iView content will be displayed at runtime in its native format as defined in
    the source Web page. For more information, see the Keep
    source formatting option in Defining the Look and Feel of the iView Content.
    The remaining look and feel rendering option are supported by the default URL only.
    In addition there is an option to check the service configuration of the Language-specific :
    com.sap.portal.admin.wizardframework:
    edit the SourceLocales field check that the requested Language is defined and if not you can add it
    ( Follow note# 1078145 )
    After doing so , please restart the service , and check the results.
    If the problem still exist let me know and we can have further investigation.

  • Automatically deactivate password on CUA

    We have a system whereby user-accounts are automatically created from Active Directory to SAP. As these users are normally only used for acces from a portal the password should be de-activated. We need to do this from the CUA-system as password changes are not allowed on the child-system.
    When a new user is created the password is of course always initial but Is there a way to automatically deactivate the password directly after an account is created ?

    It is not enough to disable the password, you have to actively set the password to "deactivated".
    These users come from an HR-portal where their identity is verified via ldap but connect to backend-system to get the relevant HR-data per user. To prevent them getting a logon-screen when connecting the password needs to be deactivated (which is something else than disabled). As the users are automatically created on a CUA-system we need to add a step somewhere to do this deactivation. Hope this clarifies my question.

    These are the Main Difference between Web Client And win Client:
    1.When it comes to the technology, the WebClient is   based on BSP (business server pages), which are generated by the SAP Web Application Server and creates HTML pages so that all the agent needs is a browser. In contrast, the WinClient is basd on ABAP Dynpro technology and requires a installation of a SAPGUI on the agent machine or a terminal server.
    2.In the area of multi-channel-integration, WebClient currently uses the ICI/BCB interface whereas IC WinClient uses SAPphone. Customers that have a SAPphone based integration up and running will be able to reuse this integration with IC WebClient. ICI/BCB based integration will be made available for IC WinClient customers with the 2005 CRM release.
    3.One important difference is the general approach towards UI design. In the WebClient you will find specialized, optimized user interfaces for a specfic subset of business processes. The WinClient will let you reuse any business process objects from CRM online.
    4.When it comes to integrate into other applications or user interfaces the WebClient can use any people centric UI (PCC UI) view (the CRM browser based user interface) or use WebGUI (aka SAPGUI for HTML) for R/3 (or other 4.6C/D basis based onwards systems) to render HTML. WinClient can easily integrate into any other SAPGui based application.
    5.ICWEB Client support the  auto  suggestion of solutions

    I am not clear what exactly what are you looking for. Default url fro portal server will be
    http(s)://<server_name>.domain.com:50000/irj
    you need to have a authorized user to user this. Are you planning to host BI reports on Portal, then you need to have content and system admin roles. Check this with your Basis consultant. They will provide you required access.
    You need to create a BI system in Portal and then create iview for BI reports.
