I want to restrict users untill notification is approved, they can not do it complete

I want to restrict users untill notification is approved, they can not do it complete.
I have created status profile through BS02 as ZQM02 where 3 status no I have given:
10-INIT>Init status checked>lower limit-10 higherlimit-20>Position 1>priority>1
20-APPR>Init status not checked>lower limit-10 higherlimit-20>Position 1>priority>1
30-COMP>Init status not checked>lower limit-10 higherlimit-30>Position 1>priority>1
Allowed Object types>Quality Notification checked
In transaction control Complete notification marked as forbidd.
But it is not working, I can still mark as complete without marking it approved.
status screen also not changing even after completion of notification, it still showing
under status no 10 >INIT
Plz advice what I am missing and how I can do this.

OK. I think you are confused 2 things.
First.. you have to create 2 kinds of status profile. One is for notification and another is for task.
Second.. 'next action' means not next transaction. It means automatic set when the transaction is excuted.
Try below.
1) status profile 'A' for notification (select 'quality notification' only for object type)
10-INIT-initial-forbid 'complete notification'-nothing other transaction
20-APPR-allow 'complete notification'-set 'put in process(released)' (this means a notification will be set 'APPR' automaticaaly when you release a notification and user can complete it.)
30-COMP-set 'complete notification' (this means a notification will be set 'COMP' automatically when you complete it.)
2) status profile 'B' for task (select 'task' only for object type)
10-INIT-initial-nothing other transaction
20-REL-forbid 'delete task'-set 'release task' (this means a task will be set 'REL' automatically when you release a task and user cannot delete it anymore.)
3) assign both in configuration
'A' for notification
'B' for task

Hello experts:
I need to be able to set a User Status for Quality Notifications only if they are "Activated".
When defects are recorded for an inspection lot, a "Defect Notification" is created which can be activated to become a "Quality Notification". Initially, the only difference between the inactive "Defect Notification" and the active "Quality Notification" is that the system status DEFR is active for the "Defect Notification", but is cleared when the notification is activated.
So, I'm looking for the business process associated with the Activation to use as a trigger for my own user status.
I checked the business rules for status DEFR and found that the following processes clear this status
PMM1 - Postpone Notification
PMM2 - Put Notification In Process
PMM3 - Assign Order
PMM6 - Put Notification In Process Again
Any Ideas ?

Perhaps some additional information would help you understand what I need to do.
For notification type F3, we are recording all defects found in production.
Most of these are expected defects that result in a minor reduction in yield.
For this type of defect, we do not activate the notification, and the inspection lot is closed automatically at the end of production.
However, sometimes defects are observed of an unexpected type or a higher than expected quantity.
When this happens we manually activate the notification and assign tasks to find and correct the cause.
It is only for these activated notifications that I want to automatically set a user status, which among other things, will prevent the notification from being closed until some other actions are complete and a different user status is selected.
The function of the user status currently works exactly as I want, but if it is set as the initial status for all F3 notifications, it is also preventing the un-activated defect notifications from automatically closing. I therefore want to use the Activation event as the trigger to set my user status.

When I am trying to set the first status (OPEN) to the notification, it works fine but even after I am assigning the order to this notification, put notification in process, assign equipment I cannot set the next status (i.e., RUNG) it is showing me the following error:
"Status RUNG is not allowed (QNF 100000000000) " -> ->
Diagnosis
The user status 'RUNG' has reference number 02. In the current object status 'QNF 100000000000', the reference number of a status may not be higher than 01.
Procedure
You can only set user status whose reference number is not higher than 01.
please help me solving this question its a bit urgent.

Then i have assigned these to Object type Quality info reocord and i have assigned status profile in Quality info record.
Now pl guide me how we proceed further. since as per SAP document says that each stages to be assigned in different inspection type.

How to use the selection profile and status profile for production order?

Hi George,
There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
In this status profile,
1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
2.We define initial statuses
3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

Error in activating status profile for SVT

Hi,
I've been trying to activate status profile EHS_SO for SVT in REACH compliance version 2.0 . But I am stuck.
When I save a sales order, a message-'Error when activating status 0001 for status profile EHS_SO in order XXXXXX' has come up. My IMG settings are as follows:
Sales documentr: No existing status profile used
Status profile: EHS_SO added with status SD
Environment parameter:SVT_SO_PROFILE: EHS_SO
SVT_SO_STATUS: 0001 used
Activate Status profile: STUCK (can't figure out the object type for VBP object type category)
Does anyone know?

Electronic signatures for Quality Notifications

We are on 4.0b system and thinking of implementing electronic signatures functionality for quality notifications. Since SAP standard does not have this functionality we are planning to use Enhancement QQMA0014, function module exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_020.
To this effect, we are requesting your guidance for the following
1.Is this customer exit available in latest version of SAP ?
2. If we store these signatures (user id , date and time) in an custom table, can we move this custom table ,once we upgrade to a higher version.
3. Is there any other way to implement electronic signatures for quality notifications in version 4.0b.

Restricting authobject I_QMEL for Quality notifications and HR PCRs

Hello,
We have encountered an role conflict when the authorization object I_QMEL is used both for Quality notification and HR PCR access on the portal. Here is the scenario.
Quality Administrator has I_QMEL for:
- notification type X
- transaction IQS1 and IQS2
- all work is done in the GUI
Employee who is a Manager has I_QMEL for:
- notification type Z
- transactions IQS1 and IQS2
- all work is done on the portal
The role conflict arises when one user has both the Quality Administrator role and the Manage role. The user can then use the GUI to view notifications of type Z - that any manager has submitted. This means the user can view all personnel change requests in the systems. These PCRs contain sensitive information.
Any ideas on how I can design the security such that this role conflict is suppressed?

MB56 for quality notifications?

Hi all,
is there a possibility to see quality notifications for substream materials which were consumed for production of a finished good? I mean a kind of MB56 for quality notifications.You enter the finished goods material and batch and see if there were notifications for a material which was used to produce the finished good?
Does this exist somewhere in the R3 - system?

User status profiles for work orders and sub-orders

Hi Experts,
I have the following question regarding status profiles for SAP PM work orders (but I guess it relates to all user status profiles).
Customizing
A status profile is defined for order type "PM_A", which contains an authorization key "OP" for certain user states (to be set by the ordering party)
Situation
The ordering party A creates an order of type PM_A for contractor B, and B then creates a sub-order of type PM_A for contractor C
Problem
- If I assign the authorization key "OP" only to roles of party A, then party B can't set the user states reserved for the ordering party (correct for the order A->B, but not for the sub-order B->C)
- If I assign the authorization key "OP" to roles of party A and party B, then B could set certain user states reserved for the ordering party in the order A->B, which is also wrong
Question
Is there a way to restrict sub-orders differently than "non-sub-orders", or do I have to create a "sub-order order-type" for each order type, in order to assign them different status profiles and authorization keys?

since you have 3 roles to be assigned to the same order type with different authorization ,it is better you create an seperate order type for sub order and assign the user status with authorization for B and C

What should be used its corresponding Business Transactions with No Influence, Allowed, Warning, Forbidden, No Action which i need your valuable suggestion for our new implementation project.

My query is while creating Status Profile in tcode OK02, there are various business transactions are available under status which one is No Influence or Allowed or Warning or Forbidd etc. I need to know the actual business transactions required for the status profile. Presently I have mentioned two business transactions which are Release and Write plan line item under status LKD(Locked). Release indicator is "Not Influence" and "Set". And Write Plan Line Items checked only "Allowed" as business transactions. But another user status "PLIM" I am not able to incorporte business transactons. While click on new entries A to W business transactions are appearing which are all "No Influence". But after saving the screen and back from the screen records(Business transactons) are not being saved properly.
I want to know the actual reason... Kindly need your suggestion...

Need to Create the STATUS Profile for Q-Info record

Basically in the Q-Info record we have status profiles like VN, SP, MP OM and MP NOM etc... Under this status profiles there are few staus profiles assigned to it, in the same way
I need to create the status profile for Q-Info record under the status profile MP NOM (Non Original Mfgr MP), so that when I am creating the Q-Info record I can select the status profile which is under the MP NOM.

BS02--->Select the status say " QM_P_001" ->Copy As F6 - >Enter new name>enter.
Now chage the relevent data as per your requirement.

Automatic Selection of "User Status Profile" for Inspection lot

I have created "User Status Profile" for particular plant to block UD if Results are not recorded ; I want this 'User status profile' to be selected automatically in record usage decision screen - qa11 of inspection lot .Please let me know how to go about this?

You can call the inspectiion whatever you want up to I think 6, (maybe 8) characters.
You can use 04pppp where pppp = your plant ID. So 041000, 042000, 042010, 043000, 043140, etc...
In the insepction type setup in the material masters you can set the inpsection type you want to use in that plant as the "preferred" one by checking that box in the inspection setup in the material master.
